Frie rice dishes are delicious
Even i have visited first time, i was facinated wontang and mandu with egg noodle #6.when i am likely to get a cold, it is best option to eat.

Ordered wonton dumpling soup with egg noodles but ended up getting rice noodles. First time having this kind of soup, usually we get wonton noodle soup from Chinese restaurants but this one has a unique flavor to it. I Added more chilis and lovely to eat during the cloudy weather.
I was pleasantly surprised. The salt pepper wings were great. The chow fun had a great smoky flavor. I wish there was a bit more flavor from the sauce. Ill try it wet next time. The white fish congee was great too, but it had a bit too much ginger flavor.
Delicious rice noodles. Will come back.

The only place to get mi xua cao wonton. For me at least, pretty much the only thing I want to eat when I come here.

Small place, and there was a 20-30 minute wait for a table at 1pm on a Sunday, which to me is a good sign. Places that are good attract lots of people. Service was good considering theyre busy and understaffed. The iced tea was perfect for me because it was mild and unsweetened. My wife really liked her won ton rice noodles. I liked the fried chicken - came with a generous portion of fried rice. Wouldve liked a little sriacha sauce but everything was flavorful enough so that it was no great loss. Would repeat and recommend.
The food was not fresh. I ordered and soup came out in literally 2 minutes. I went here because it had good reviews. I do not recommend this restaurant.

We had been searching all over San Diego for authentic wonton soup and, thankfully, we found this place. The broth is flavorful and the wontons are hand made. This restaurant is a real gem. Every dish we have ordered has exceeded expectations and the owner and staff are exceptional!

Hate to leave a bad review. The food just didn’t meet our family’s expectations. We had the won ton dumpling soup with egg noodle. I would describe the flavor as being kind of from a grocery store. I like a good “hole in the wall” as anyone but this place didn’t check the right boxes. My 11 and 12 year old kids didn’t like it either, and we all enjoy Asian food. I should have read the reviews of others first, but my brother recommended it highly.
I ordered a salty fish fry rice with shrimp instead of chicken in there. The price was $1 more top of regular price. The flavor was super good. But there was only 2 pc of shrimps in there. I am not kidding. Asked how many supposed to be.... 6 answered. Well, only sorry said for the mistake. It should not happened at all.
Excellent little noodle place. Inexpensive, good selection for Vietnamese dishes.The dry crispy noodles are great and unique. A must try.Their soup noodle options are good too. Tastes fresh. The wontons are also a must try.Service is quick and polite.Take outs are also simple and fast.At busy dinner hours there can be a waiting lime to be seated. But parking is never an issue.
The food is but the price is getting ridiculously expensive. They want to charge $15 for a bowl of wonton noodle.

Enjoyed our lunch at Tim Ky which we discovered suddenly. The menu is limited but all are freshly prepared. We had the salt and pepper chicken wings - which was served crispy and hot along with the chicken rolls. Both the dishes came on a bed of lettuce. Also tasted a plate of chicken chow mein and one plate of Tangerine chicken. Wait time was hardly 5 minutes. The place is small and space between tables are very less. Overall a good experience.
Ive been in California just over 10 years now and have not been able to find a good dish of Singapore Rice Noodle (since leaving Canada -- Toronto region). Well I found exactly that at Tim Ky Noodle (has a mix of Chinese and Vietnamese). And Ive been craving it so badly (10+ years craving!!), which I didnt realize until I dug into it.The noodles were a tiny bit firmer than all the times Ive had it in Canada (over 2-300 times, likely), but they were satisfying, with onions, carrots, chicken, pork (I skipped the shrimp). I even ate the few pieces of broccoli. Now this is usually a spicy dish, but TKNs is not. I had to add hot paste and sauce for my liking.I plan to go back to try some of the other items -- however Ill be having another plate of SRN some time soon.UPDATE: I went back but ended up having another plate of Singapore Vermicelli (name on the menu, which Im used to seeing as Singapore Noodle on Canadian menus). The price on many (all?) of the noodle dishes have gone up $1.00 since I was there a couple of months ago, but given how tasty it was, I dont mind. The noodles were perfect this time, though actually less in volume, but the amount of meat and veg made up for it. And they dont excessively bulk it up with cabbage like some other places.
Not bad noodles try the duck leg soup but eat with big noodles us better.Also staff should be going around to check if customers are enjoying their food or ask if they need anything. Although i commend them for being thankful and also the male waiters are smiling and very polite and kind.
Love this place, especially when its cold. We will usually get the dumpling and wonton noodle soup. Broth is sooo good. Will also get the young chow fried rice and sweet and sour pork chop. It is not your traditional sweet and sour.
Very clean Asian restaurant that’s not catered to the Laowai crowd, not something you find in easily in San Diego. Food was good, we ordered two wonton noodle soup and a pork and 1000 year egg congee. Broth and congee was a little sugary but still passable. Main attraction is cleanliness.
Not much variety around here. Vietnamese style Chinese cuisine doesnt really blend well. A lot of their seafood was from the can or imitation. Overly sauced and days old meat. Their noodles are not so bad. Wonton meat tastes like it was frozen for days.
Came in for the chow fun but all of a sudden had a craving for dimsum. Took a gamble & ordered the jian-gou. Definitely hit the spot. the vinegary sauce was ok but squirt Sriracha to taste & yum. Do note that the description says rice cake omelette. Its more like daikon cake than the oval shaped sticky rice thing.
The food was ok but we specifically told the guy who took our orders not to put shrimps because of an allergy but then when we were eating the food, we realized there were shrimps on the food! Good thing we have antihistamines ready. Disappointed.
This is my first time here. I tried the wonton and dumpling egg noodle soup. It was fabulous. The noodle consistency was great. There were the wontons, soup dumplings, and char siu in the soup. The added chives gives it a unique flavor. The bonus was the crispy wonton with a shrimp attached to the middle as garnish.
Actually, no star! Terrible service! Staff was so disrespectful! We placed an order for pick up and 1 item was missing. I immediately called to tell them. The woman who answered knew that they messed up. She asked us to come back and pick the item up but, we told her that we can’t pick it up since we are at work. She told us to pick it up the next day instead. I came back 2 days after with our receipt but the staff refused to give me the item. A guy and a girl server got mad at me instead for not picking up the MISSING VEGETARIAN STIR FRY NOODLE on the day they REQUIRED me to pick up. The woman said that if they tell me to pick it up the next day, i should pick the item up the next day. I could not understand why I can’t get our missing item which WE ACTUALLY PAID FOR (not to get free food out of it). And mind you that my family, my friends.. even our clients/guests are regular customers all because of my recommendations of this place. And still, they treated me with such disrespect. So upsetting! We will never go back here again! AND I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
I have been a fan of this restaurant for their Mì Vịt Tiềm until the last visit a couple of weeks ago. One worker did not wear mask while working even when he prepared food/condiments, he only put it on when seeing a customer step into the restaurant. From that observation, I wonder how much (time) people who make food in the back would wear their masks. Please be strict to your employees about wearing masks in the workplace. I guess I won’t come back until the pandemic is over.
Really good food. The roast chicken soup comes with half of a roasted chicken with the skin done up really nice. Very filling. The bathroom could have used some attention though.

Just tried their viet crepe. Pretty good but too much bean sprouts and onions. Their dumpling and wonton soup is great when youre feeling sick or if youre feeling cold.

The beef soup pot is delicious enough to cry! The sand tea sauce that comes with it is also very fragrant. Its just right for four people, and you can add some vegetables~

Coming to this place reminds me of the complicated history of peoples in China and Southeast Asia.We ordered a beef fried noodle dish - always order the flat noodles! And we also had fried rice and a steamed fish that came with bok choy and rice. Always a good time here!

If you come to this restaurant during weekend, there is a high change that you have to wait longer than usual because this is a small shop with not many staffs. I also recommend food with soup together, not on the side. I visit this shop kinda often because it’s near my house. I feel like the customers here don’t know how to truly eating Asians food. They alway ask for many things and leave a mess after their meal. This thing leading to that staffs have to work more and have less time to serve other customers. This affects my experience here many times.

2023-10-17 04:52:34I have yet to have a better Wonton Noodle Soup in San Diego. I recommend getting both the Rice and Egg Noodle together(delicious) if you like Spicy like I do, put lots of chili oil in the soup.

2019-01-12 20:27:44Traveling from NYC and was craving some wonton noodles/comfort food and found this place on yelp/google.. Pictures of the food looked good and reviews were good, so we decided to give it a try. Seemed like a lot of Vietnamnese locals ate here and the table next to us was scarfing down their noodles! So it had to be good right?!Ordered the wonton egg noodles and the seafood crispy noodle and oye... I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad crispy noodle or wonton noodle until now... Prices were overpriced as well.. a bowl of congee or even wonton noodle almost $9? But I guess not a lot of places around SD had this kind of food..The crispy noodle had “seafood” that and veggies that come out of a can, didn’t taste fresh and the noodles were powdery..The noodles in the wonton soup was good and stringy but once you got a bite of the wonton itself... it wasn’t fresh.. and the meat wasn’t tender.Overall I probably would not return or recommend.. you can find much better food for less elsewhere.. and I hate wasting food but we just couldn’t finish or eat anymore of this food

2023-08-28 02:09:43My late dad used to love their “mì bò saté”. He’d have this dish almost every time we went there. However, the quality went down hill while their prices went up and up. They ridiculously charge extra for every single dish and side dishes.The place has no special ambiance. The service is just ok deserving my 10% but everything is overpriced, I would not come ever again.
