Absolutely the best Argentine empanadas in L.A..Ive been going to Titos for over 30yrs .Still taste the same as day one.They have sandwhichs,fillet mignon my favorite.They have the best wings too.Whenever Im near I have to stop for a couple of empanadas.Crispy crust,soft inside.The meat is seasoned perfectly, the green olive with just a bit of egg .Outstanding

Update: 9/2/23: Still make my way here every few months for my beef empanada fix. Prices have gone up a lot (no surprise). I like the beef Milanese sandwich but need to try some others. I did try the chicken Milanese but that one is too dry for my taste.Good sandwiches and empanadas. The fried chicken wings are good too. Usually a line of people ordering sandwiches to go.

If you love empanada, you got to come to Tito’s. They have the best empanada in town. I came to know this hidden gem in El Monte through the introduction of my Argentinian friend who keeps bragging about how good the foods are at this place. We finally made it to this shop today with our son who is visiting us from San Diego.My first impression was with the long lines. I suspected that the food must be good with that many people waiting in line. My impression was right. When we got to the ordering counter, we discovered that Tito’s was supposed to have the best sandwiches and fried chickens in town too. So we ordered a couple of freshly made sandwiches and a bucket( actually a bag ) of spicy chickens and of course the beef empanada. The sandwiches were very good with fresh fluffy bread and flavorful fillings. The empanada were excellent but not as good as what I had from my friend’s home baked ones. The real star of Tito’s, in my opinion, was the spicy fried chicken. They were not overly battered and the they were crunchy outside and tender inside. The spicy level was just right to produce the appropriate kick.Don’t get discouraged with the lone line, it tends to move quickly. We waited in line for only around 15 minutes and got our food. Parking is a bit of problem though. You can find parking on the street too.

Came in to pick up some items to grill for Fathers day. Couple pounds of entraña, some chorizo, some morcilla, and a few dozen empanadas. Oh and some freshly made chimichurri sauce. In and out in minutes. Service is impeccable. Butchers are very attentive. And the empanadas are hot and delicious!

There are so many things on the menu that are worth buying. I would recommend the hot pastrami with cheese and no chili. The wings and fries are a good side order. And of course you cant go to Titos without ordering the beef empanadas. The family that runs the business comes from Argentina and oh boy are the empanadas unique and delicious.

We have been going here for years! Empanadas are always a hit! My family prefers the ground beef to the chicken. The place is typically packed, and parking can be limited. Staff is usually friendly, and if you are ordering something already made (like empanadas), youll be in & out of there quick. Although the prices have gone up, it is still a must stop whenever Im passing through!

11/3/21:Still the best empanadas, in my opinion. Their price still stays the same at $2.09 per piece. I also bought 1 lb of regular chicken wings, 1/2 lb of seasoned fries and 2 pcs of cheese empanadas. The cheese empanada is their new item, not sure how it will tastes. So sad that they take out their Jalapeños Poppers. I used to love them very much. I do hope they will bring it back in the future. Currently, there is no dine-in at the location, only take out. They recently developed the online take out menu for those who want to order ahead. The line can be very long during peak hours.----------------------------------------------------2019:I finally gotten the chance to try this cafe/market. I have known this place since 2 years ago but never gotten the chance to try it. Wow.... I must say their beef and chicken empanadas are superb, my wife and I really like them, they are full of meats, superb taste and not over-powered by other spices. It is a little pricey, $2.09 per piece, however, it is worth it. They have another excellent item on their menu, it is the jalapeños poppers, they sell them by pounds, not pieces. I was surprised when the sale person asked how many pounds I want for the poppers. I will definitely stop by this cafe in the near future for their empanadas and poppers. In my opinion, It is the best around San Gabriel Valley area.

Great place for a sandwich. This place really draws a crowd at lunch time. Get here early if you can, parking will go quick. I arrived at 11:40 am before the lunch rush, and was impressed at how long the line will get. The service is quick (I received my order of 24 empanadas, and 16 sandwiches in less than 8 minutes), and they do accept cash and card here. The sandwiches, empanadas, wings, and fries are a popular item (frome what I can hear as other customers order). There is also a deli market here, that carries an assortment of fresh meats. This place is a hidden gem! Ive been coming to Titos since I was a kid. Whenever I take clients Titos they fall in love with the amazing food. I always get the regular submarine with or submarino con if you know Spanish. Lol! Its so popular they have then stacked on the counter during lunch time. You can always order the hot sandwiches too like pastrami or milanesa. So good! Dont forget to get some beef empanadas to go or to eat there. Dont get scared when you see a long line, they take care of people pretty fast and if the food wasnt so good they wouldnt have lines of people. Its worth 5 min waiting in line. Shoot I would wait longer if I had too. This place is a 6 star out of 5 stars. Yes, its that good!!

Had a turkey sandwich and a chicken and empanada. The turkey sandwich was great with its soft warm bread, fresh turkey meat, cheese, mayo n tomato. Just needed mustard, onions, and lettuce to finish it off. The empanada was a bit on the greasy side but tasted mucho bueno!

Titos - first and foremost, the food is delish. The beef empanadas are some of the best Ive ever had! Everyone that Ive shared these little devils with, they rave about them. Parking is tough as it is in a U shaped cluster of various businesses. There is seating inside Titos but this is a very popular place, so have patience.

This Argentine sandwich and empanada joint is located at the of Titos plaza on Garvey Ave in El Monte. They have a variety of menu items all delicious. They have beef and chicken Empanadas that are well made with crust that is not very greasy and are sweet and savory with bits of olives. People order a variety of hot or cold subs and are filled with meats and cold cuts. Pastrami had eggs and chili peppers inside. There was a line in front of the place around 1pm and it took 30 mins to order and receive the food. It’s a popular place that use up most of the plaza’s parking spots.

Fried empanadas are not my thing, and this are expensively fill with choking cheese, the beef ones are similar, but tasteless..Chimi is decent, but the Milanesa Sandwich was a 1 star, mostly every customer read eating this, my guess is ncs its famous, I couldnt tell why, anyhow, too greeasy, served with 3 half slices of tomato and mayo,Im sorry to say, NO GOOd..Meat was hard, hard...Ive heard of this place true people who works in that neighborhood, but I guess they dont know any better..Sorry Totos...

Had the milanesa sandwich with fries, and both were delicious. The empanadas were ok. The sandwich reminds me of a Mexican torta in a way, and I love those as well. The portions were fair, and prices were as well. Id like to give 5 stars, but the lack of mayo and overall ingredients make all the difference. I still highly recommend trying this place!

Located in Titos plaza on Garvey Ave in El Monte. I literally grew up my entire life eating Titos Subs. My dad would often stop to buy the entire family a sub back in the 70s. This is an Argentinean Restaurant with a variety of menu items all delicious but I enjoy our family tradition, their regular submarine which is a cold sandwich. Their subs are the best ever! Empanadas and Milanesa are delicious too. Staff is always friendly and well organized specialty now during the pandemic. Expect it to be busy. Even though we moved out of the area over a decade ago, we find a way to make the drive for Titos.

Third generation going to Tito’s and they have always had great food but yesterday was different. My wife and kids know I love Tito’s so they decided to take me to eat for fathers at Tito’s. We get our food and it just tasted so different than usual. I thought it might have been the drink so I go get a different flavor of soda and I then noticed a terrible fishy smell behind the counter. I’m guessing the meat went bad and that’s the reason why the food taste so awful? About 20 minutes after “eating” we knew we had food poisoning. Don’t understand why they choose to sell knowing it was bad.

It is always fun to explore the locals favorite and this place is absolutely a locals favorite! At first, you will get intimidated with the line of people waiting but relax, the line moves pretty fast and you wont starve waiting. I got the Lomo sandwich, and their hot pastrami sandwich. While waiting, you can also check out their butcher section and Latin products. I got some chimichurri in a decent size glass jar and some Argentinian sausages to grill tomorrow... lastly, they have a nice variety of Yerba mate tea. Oh! My sandwiches were small but it is more of a medium sandwich, fairly large portions and yes, fresh sandwiches!

Love this place!! Been going to Tito’s market since it was a little brick building on the corner. Now look at it. Alway get a dozen empanadas, carnitas sandwich and the albondigas with lettuce for my wife. The subs are also good. The cashiers are friendly the places seems clean. This is the BEST place ever! there is a line because its amazing and worth a long line or a long wait. I cant decide whether the sandwiches are the best or the empanadas! Counter service empanadas place in a grocery store. My dad had raved about the empanadas a few days ago so we made the trek on a Saturday to have it as lunch. Two empanadas make for either a heavy snack or a light lunch. We got 8 empanadas for about $18. You pay at the counter and wait for them to call your number. They do take credit card. The chicken empanadas we got were a new batch so they were muy caliente. The shredded chicken was so tender and juicy (some of the juice dropped down my hand as I ate so get napkins). The beef one has ground beef and it was flavorful, and both have an olive in them as a little surprise. The chicken was my favorite. There were some tables inside where you could eat, but we just took our food to go. There are bathrooms available as well as parking in a parking lot. The cashier was really nice and they speak English and Spanish. Overall these empanadas are a hidden gem and definitely off the beaten path, but if you ever find yourself in El Monte getting peckish, definitely get a couple of empanadas.

Titos Market has been in business ever since I can remember. It takes me back to my childhood. Its unbelievable I recognize some of their loyal employees from when I went there as a kid.After being married and with now kids of my own, I go back every now and then. I recall our family favorites were their cold sandwiches, warm milanesas and of course their empanadas. My brother says they make a great sandwich de lomo.Titos is very well known and always has a wait. But dont be frightened by the long line. It goes by quickly.My kids will now have a memory of making the drive to where I grew up and will hopefully return with their children.

The hype of this place is not real. The line was long im talking like 10 people waiting to order. The service is excellent, quick and very helpful. They treat the customer right. When it got down to the food I ordered Milanesa de res. All I can say is no seasoning, or real taste. It was a plain bread and meat sandwich. Surprisingly its full in there but I dont get why. Would not recommend it and will not go back.

Went around 1045, 1 person ahead of me and about 10 waiting for food, by the time I got my food line was out the door maybe like 15 to 20 people waiting to order. Ive been wanting to try the food at Titos for a while now and decided to finally give it a try. I had a beef empanada and a ribeye sandwich. The empanada was delicious but the ribeye sandwich was at a whole other level. The meat was tender and juicy, a perfect amount of cheese, the bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the rest of the toppings just complimented the rest of the sandwich.

Ive been going to Titos market for over 30 years and its as good as it was back then.I always order the Capocola,.mortadella with provolone and Jalapeño spreadI also recommend the Mortadella, Pancheca and Mayo & jalapeño spread.The chicken wings are also to die for.Expect to wait in line but it does move quickly and the front counter people are all very nice and friendly.The only thing I would fix is the decore of the store it look like it needs a refresher .

Quite a wait for the sandwiches and empanadas, a definite hotspot for locals. Attracted by the high reviews I had to give it a try. It may just be me but they were working on my sandwich order longer than other customers in line, and were nice enough to throw in a free cheese empanada due to the wait. The empanada were too sweet for my liking, and the sandwich were mediocre and not impressive. The sandwich seemed a bit lacking for the breaded chicken milanesa, very dry, price is not that great compared to the size and quantity. Nonetheless, try it and see if its to your taste buds liking.

Use to come here all the time since I grew up in El Monte. I came in today ordering some sandwiches and what a disappointment. The bread was old and stale. The deli meats on all the sandwiches were very warm and the chili had no taste whatsoever. I ordered a cold submarine sandwich but it was very warm and soggy. When I decided to make a complaint, the staff was very rude and arrogant. They acted dumb because I speak Spanish but not fluently. Asked for manager and was getting the run around. The empanadas are good, the cheese are my favorite. I have been to many Thai restaurants surrounding the El Monte area looking for the best one. In this area, Thai Excellente is the best. The physical restaurant is not elegant or modern but if you are only interested in the taste of the food, this is the place. When we lived in the area, it was our first choice for Thai food. With as much people that they see it surprises me how friendly they are. Their empanadas are the best, their tortas de milanesa are not to be overlooked. Lets face it I think Im a fan of almost everything they make. Definitely a must for any foodie!
