I don’t come here often because it’s pretty far from me, but I’ve noticed it getting busier and busier every time I visit, and with good reason!I always get their galbi, it’s mouthwatering good! Normally, I get it as a combo, which includes any normal sized tofu soup, but the portion of the meat is smaller.I’ve tried a couple of their other items too and they didn’t disappoint. The sides are good and the service is good too. There’s plenty of indoor seating and parking, making this restaurant an easy choice if you’re craving Korean food.

Tofu Bean stands out as the best Korean restaurant Ive experienced in Southern California. The cuisine, especially the kalbi short ribs and tofu soup, is delicious—I recommend trying the tofu mushroom soup. What sets Tofu Bean apart is their exceptional customer service, they make everyone feel special. As a Hispanic, Ive encountered less than ideal service in other Korean places, but at Tofu Bean, I felt treated like royalty. I highly recommend this place.

The food is always good here, but the prices really went up. I ordered the galbi and tofu soup combo to share with my mom, it was more than enough with the side dishes they provide. The food was delicious and service was fast. I went here on a Friday at lunch and there was no lunch crowd. So service was faster than usual.

(9/8/2023) Very good and quick service. Tofu Soup and Chap Chae somehow stay hot better than others. Banchan is the same as Young Dong Tofu but it is lighter flavored. Tofu Soup is a little bit more spicy than others but I love it. Porkchop is pretty good but I prefer Young Dong. Recommended Chap Chae and Porkchop+Tofu Soup combination here because it has decent prices and Wok Hei is very good as well. It is probably one of the alternative Tofu Soup options under Young Dong. I will probably come back if I am nearby for Korean food.

This place has great food, decent prices, and good atmosphere. I came in for dinner and got the spicy pork combination ( +Dumpling soup). My spicy pork was very flavorful and the soup was also delicious and vey filling. My wife got the bibimbap + soup combo which is very rare!! Almost no restaurant offers bibimbap in a combo most places only offer it a la carte(which made it a bit cheaper). Will definitely be back! I love how Korean culture likes to dine out late, I went on a Sunday night and the later it got the more people showed up!

We had the opportunity to come and celebrate our anniversary at this restaurant and I am amazed at how great the food was. Korean food at its best Galbi is a must to try along with Samgatang and the Beef and seafood tofu soup medium spicy and dont forget to have some Soju lol . Customer service was on point, if you are in the area I recommend you dropping by .

This place is amazing! I finally found a great spot for a local authentic Korean food! The staff were very kind and accommodating. They were very nice, friendly, professional, and attentive.We ordered their popular items, the beef tofu soup, cold noodles, and the Galbi! The meats were very tender and juicy! The best tofu place ever! I tried Beef Tofu Soup, Rabokki, and Galbi Jjim, and all the food I tried was amazing. It really satisfied my craving for Korean food. Like a soup kitchen. I didnt use the bathroom but everything was especially clean. The service was immediate, attentive, and very pleasant. The food was fresh and super hot with generous portions. The range of flavors was outstanding! We will come back.

Came here since I was nearby and found the food to be okay in taste. I ordered mul naengmyeon and tasted okay. Not sure if its because its not their most popular dish. But we also ordered the beef tofu and it was delicious. We didnt try their meat, so we should try next time.

I would say the food here is average. Not the best or tastiest that Ive had. But it was okay. Banchan potato salad was a bit overly on the sweet side, kimchi was not aged enough. We had to ask for rice (who eats tofu soup without rice?). We had to ask for tea and when we got it we couldnt tell if it was barley tea because it had zero flavor. I doubt Id go here again.

Man, Im soooo glad I found this gem of a place. Ive been coming to this area for years but never found this place until today. I looked for Korean restaurants with great reviews nearby and this one popped up. I personally think 4.5 starts doesnt do justice. The service and the atmosphere were awesome here. The best part was of course the food. I got the Bibimbap and Tofu soup combo and it was absolutely awesome and extremely tasty. Come try it for yourself. You will be very happy you did. 👍

Call ahead and they offered outside dining. Great experience with wonderful food. The staff is very friendly and walked us through their very tasty menu. Food came out quick and was very delicious. We have eaten at several Korean restaurants before and this one is too notch. We will definitely be coming back for more. The sides dishes were so good and the prices extremely fair for the amount of food we got. Make sure to give this place a try!!

Really good tofu, dumpling soup....good spice!! Came with a cracked egg and the yolk adds to the richness.Sides were tasty! I liked the cucumbers and broccoli best.We ordered the gyoza to start as well. Really tasty dumplings with dipping sauce.The short ribs are also delicious!! Good little char! Great seasoning. Just went to this place yesterday with my boyfriend. I have to be honest the food is amazing and definitely delicious. The menu has to be the best menu that I have ever seen. Each of the items has a picture to it so no surprises. The only surprise is that you taste buds will be shook because its so dang delicious. Mmm of the 4 dishes we ordered, 2 were good, 2 were just okay so its one of those places where youd have to know what to get. The bibimbap and the grilled yellow croaker were good. The galbi and the soondubo jjigae were just alright.Bibimbap - flavorfulGrilled yellow croaker - fish was fresh and grilled well. The best dish we ordered.Galbi - too sweet for my tasteMushroom soft tofu soup - not flavorful. On a chilly rainy day, the husband was craving for Korean tofu soup. We pulled out our Yelp app and this Tofu Bean resulted in our search as the nearest choice. It was located at the plaza next to GW Supermarket on Colima. Seating and ordering was quick as it was a Monday night. We ordered the beef tofu soup and spicy pork combo to share because we were not extremely hungry. The lady server pressured us to get another dish but we didnt. She did not seem happy with us and stopped being attentive. Soup was salty and seasoned to my liking but tasted different. They didnt offer or provide the raw egg, just purple rice and sides. Soup has no soy broth taste as the other restaurants. Although the spicy pork was very chewy, it was good. We enjoyed our quick meal but will not return.

My BF and I come here A LOT, and for good reason. The food is delicious, and on top of that it is also consistently satisfying. The staff is really friendly and always attentive to seeing if wed like anything else. Weve been here 3 times now. Really love the kimchi and beef tofu soup. Everything is delicious, staff is very nice, and they are generous with the banchan. My husband cannot have beef and theyve been very accommodating with the types of soups they prepare if you ask.

Nice! I wanted to try other tofu places in the area so I chose this place. It is the standard sundubu restaurant. They give you tea and the banchan in the beginning and then your tofu. I ordered the kimchi beef in spicy and my aunt ordered the dumpling in mild. The spice level is a bit more strong than BCD, as I order the spicy over there with ni problem but today I had to take my time eating because it was so hot. I do feel that to enjoy the full flavor, tey to order medium or above, not plain or mild, because the chili paste not only gives you spice, but a lot of flavor too. I feel that I will return.

I came from Northern California to try out the soft tofu soup dish at this restaurant based on the fantastic rating but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The soft tofu soup was very salty and the ingredients (shrimp) didn’t taste fresh. Furthermore, the price is above average for Rowland height price level. I would not recommend this place and feel that the google rating (4+) is not accurate. The one thing I like about this place is it’s customer service. Other than that, it is a total disappointment.

Came for dinner and prices have increased but the food quality has gone downhill. Was really disappointed with the seafood pancake as 90% of the seafood was imitation krab meat with few small pieces of mussels and baby octopus. What a ripoff at $25 for the seafood pancake. The tofu soup was average with medium spicy being not spicy at all. The beef bulgogi was over cooked. Service was nonexistent as the waitress never came to refill our drinks. There are many other tofu soup places in the area, so no need to come back.

I came here with family for Sunday lunch. I thought we would pay lunch price and it turned out we were asked to pay dinner price. They do put a line with small fonts and asterisk saying only applied on weekend. Pretty shady! Just watch out before you go! It was during the heat wave and we were craving something cold and refreshing and decided to get Korean cold noodles. Its located in a big plaza so there was plenty of parking. We were immediately seated. We were a medium size group of 6 people. We ordered 3 - C10 Galbi + Cold Noodles - 2 spicy, 1 non spicy, 2- C1 Galbi + tofu soup, and 1 - S19 seafood noodles w/ vegetables. The seafood noodles were so tasty that we ended up ordering a second order. It was so flavorful with lots of seafood (clams, mussles, shrimp, and squid). The cold noodles were very refreshing. I tried both the spicy and the non spicy and definitely the spicy one was much better with the small kick. It wasnt too spicy so its manageable for those who cant eat spicy. Topped with cucumbers, radish and korean pear. Would recommend adding broth ice cubes to keep the broth cold while being eaten. LOL The galbi was also very good. Nice and tender and lots of flavor. Highly recommend this place. Will have to come back when its less hot to try the tofu soup and the seafood pancake. Service was good. They came and checked on us. Prices were a bit pricey about $30 before tax and tip per meal but I think Korean meals all cost around that range nowadays.

Disappointed with banchan and service. They only placed four cucumbers in the dish, the mashed potatoes was so sweet it was like eating 🍭. Oyster tofu soup was actually pretty tasty and good broth. They didnt place a lot of 🦪 inside. Service was super 🐢 and lacking. There were three waitresses and only my family and a another couple. Basically the restaurant was empty and it took 20ish minutes to get our meals one by one. They never asked if everything was okay or tasted good. There were only a few take out orders too. They were not checking vaccination cards despite their sign. Inside is pretty clean and bright. Plenty of parking. I wouldnt come back. Quality banchan is a requirement for repeat service from me.

The whole dining experience was awful.1. The soup was served at least 10 minutes after the rice was served, and the rice got very cold.2. We waited for the short rib for very long time, it was served after we finished everything, it was just to late.3. One of the waitresses constantly showed impatience when we asked for napkins and side dishes, she even shake her head like we were doing something wrong.I want to recognize that the two waitresses definitely worked very hard, but not smart at all.My sincere advice:1. Get a cart for giving out side dishes, or you will keep wasting your precious serving time to distributing 1 side dish at a time.2. Make sure your foods are served at similar time, to avoid situation like rice gets cold when other dishes are served, or the short rib is served when your customer has finish his meal.

Among my favorite Tofu Soup restaurants. Highly recommend.Been coming here since it was Ring Rang. The soups here have been consistently delicious. Before Covid, dining here was always a pleasure visiting. The staff is always so cheerful, and service is excellent.My favorite is the beef tofu soup, while my girlfriends favorite is the seafood tofu soup. Each are amazing, and after ordering countless times the food always comes out amazing. I love the Bulgogi, and my girl loves the shirt ribs.My experience with Tofu Bean is amazing. Food is still dekicous, and its the wonderful experience I can remember. Due to covid, I have only ordered takeout. The takeout food is great. Been to a lot of different great Korean Soon Tofu restaurants in San Gabriel Valley Area. Because I was shopping in the area, I couldnt make it back to my home area in time, so I found this place because they open later than most Korean Tofu houses in the area. Excited to try their other dishes that you usually have to go to a different specialty Korean restaurants to get like (Beef Bone Soup) Kalbi Tang, (Gingseng Chicken Soup) Samgaetang and other dishes.3. Great Quantity & Price: They could charge more if they wanted to, but they choose to keep it at an affordable market price. They gave great portions for the price. The Tonkatsu was large, crispy, fresh, juicy. Just as good as a Tonkatsu specialty restuarant. It was simple though, but did the job. Came with shredded cabbage with special thousand island like sauce, and instead of Katsu/Curry sauce, they used this Sesame Cream Peanut dressing sauce that paired very well with it.The selection of the side dishes or pan chan isnt as variety than other types of Korean restaurant. But they give the Basic ones, and they do it very well, taste fresh. No seaweed, but comes with classic Potato salad, Spicy Cucumber Kimchi, Sesame oil Bean Sprouts, Kimchi, and Steamed Broccoli. Their pan chan game was on the same level in terms of flavor as my favorite Tofu houses in San Gabriel Valley.5. Friendly and attentive staff: had the pleasure to speak with Christine who made sure we were taken care of and enjoyed everything, and the other staff was nice too. Gave us our side dish refills with no issue. No one should feel have to feel bad to ask for refills.

I got the (bbq rib combo) galbi with kimchi tofu. The ribs were some of the best I’ve ever tasted, spiced perfectly and cooked to perfection. I also really liked the potato salad side dish and kimchi. They are open for business so support a local business and get some good food.

This place seems to get worse and worse, had some take out few days ago, the portion is just getting less and less, they fill up with raw onion on the bottom, and there only 5 pieces of BBQ rib, there 3 pieces bone are 2x bigger than the meat, i dont know whats going on, before is more reasonable

There were a lot of people in the restaurant, but I didnt see any Korean customers. Sure enough, it was because the food was not good. I ordered a set of grilled beef ribs and cold noodles. The meat was super hard and chewy. I forgot to bring the cold noodles. The chopsticks and spoons in the tableware were gone. I asked for a spoon but they never came. The chopsticks were still round., not authentic, the only edible thing is the seafood pancake, the price of the pancake is on the expensive side, but it uses cheap ingredients like crab sticks. It costs 100 US dollars to eat for two people, but the taste and service are very poor, disappointing.
