2023-11-16 00:15:08So, Ive been a huge fan of Mitsuwa for years, but boy did I have a mind-blowing experience at Tokyo Central recently. I gotta admit, I never gave it much of a chance before, but wow, I was blown away by the amount of food they offer for such a great price.I was actually on the hunt for a specific car air freshener - the CS-X3 Blue Squash flavor - and heard that they stocked it. But once I stepped inside, I couldnt resist taking a peek at their packaged lunches and bento boxes. Im a sucker for meals that are $10 or less so I was glad that I had so many selections to choose from. Ill be back during lunch time to check out their lunch buffet and maybe do some shopping.

2023-08-12 18:14:29I always enjoy shopping here! They ACTUALLY have delicious ready made food available & getting it early is the best time to enjoy it’s freshness! The prices are not cheap but it’s worth it. Sushi’s, the food in their deli is good too especially the Takoyaki!

2023-11-04 06:12:05Tokyo central is in my top 3 Asian markets in Orange County. Formerly marukai, this place still caries a huge selection of different kinds of Japanese delectables. Love getting their fresh tuna and crab meat for making my “sushi”. Very conveniently located off harbor and baker.

2023-08-22 06:30:40I love this place! Fresh premade sushi or sushi by the block, its delicious. The snacks and warm buffet for lunch. Its making me hungry just thinking about it. Only problem is I buy everything I See and spend way too much money every time.

2023-07-29 19:31:27Pros:1. Tokyo Central Market offers an extensive selection of the freshest seafood, making it a paradise for seafood lovers who crave the best quality sashimi and sushi.2. The markets diverse range of similar Don Quijote items provides a unique shopping experience3. Being a prominent attraction around Irvine, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the vibrant local food scene and experience authentic Japanese flavors.Cons:1. The location of Costa Mesa might be inconvenient for those who dont have access to a car2. Due to the vast size and layout of the market, finding specific stops or stalls may prove challenging3. The difficulty in finding desired items may hinder the overall shopping experience at first.

2023-07-10 00:33:52If youre a fan of Japanese snacks and goodies, Tokyo Central is a dream come true. They have a wide range of snack and candy options that will leave you spoiled for choice. Whats even better is their dedicated section for Hawaiian products, adding a tropical twist to your shopping experience. Dont miss out on their must-buy item, the mochi waffle mix.

2023-12-08 01:17:20Its a great place to pick up stir-fry meat, high-quality sushi, and tonkatsu ramen. Personally I like to hit the deli to pick up a roll for lunch, which varies from 6-19 dollars. In addition, the staff are super friendly and the store is always clean and well-stocked.

2023-09-09 18:41:56Honestly, what a horrible experience. Typically my experience is here are great, but today was just completely lacking. So I was at the buffet getting food, when suddenly I was told I needed to leave. I wasnt able to finish getting my food from the buffet, I just had to leave. I asked when the whole area was going to be open again, they said around 20 minutes.I get it, I really do, they have to close the area so they can replenish the sushi refrigerators, but a little warning would have went a long way with me. They didnt tell me hey you can finish what youre doing, no they told me to get out.Had I known this was going to close, I would have waited to get my food. But with no warning, I was stuck. Not only was I getting food for myself, but I was getting food for my girlfriend, and I had only partially gotten food for myself at this point. So here I was with a partially full box of food getting cold for 20 minutes as I wait for it to reopen. All the fresh crunchy things that I just got, soggy.I tried finding a manager, apparently there was no manager in the entire store. No supervisors, no managers. Cuz at that point I wanted to get rid of the cold soggy food that I currently had, and get new food without looking like I just stole and threw away a bunch of food. But there was no one to help me at all apparently. And the people I did talk to, could not understand that I completely understand why it needed to be closed, but I was upset that I was given no warning. When talking to an employee about this, they told me about their microwaves. Yeah, because I want to microwave my previously fresh buffer food.Ended up paying full price for soggy cold food from the buffet.
