The food vs price is definitely overpriced. I ordered a shoyu ramen but its about a pack of instant noodles. The chashu was thin you would think you are at a hotpot. The broth was sweet dont taste like shoyu at all. The only thing that is good is the egg and that is 14 bucks. The squid tentacles appetizer (the fried one) I forgot the name is good. The beef yaki udon was way too oily. Its like the plate shines with the oil. The waitress was great she was awesome. The dishes itself sigh... how can you give some a cup with 2 chips on the lips? Same with one of the plates that we got for the appetizer. Definitely not worth it. I was debating to give a 2 or 3 star if I cant give a 2.5. I choose the former because I want them to improve.

The tempura shrimp wasnt good - the tempura part was very doughy. The tempura veggies were good. The sushi I got - with soft shell crab and snow crab - was really good[e] 6/17/23 I went here again and got a Tonkatsu and Red & White Roll. The tonkatsu tasted good and the portion size really big.

Solid choice for Japanese food in Daly City.Went right when it opened at 11:30 am because parking can be difficult. I suggest parking in the old Burlington parking lot and walk up to the restaurant.Food: ordered the bento box ($17). I chose the beef teriyaki and tempura combination. It is also served with rice, soup, and salad. The beef teriyaki was cut into thin slices and not drenched in sauce. The meat was cooked perfectly. The tempura is a simple dish, but Ive found some places put too much batter or overcook the vegetables. This wasnt the case at this restaurant. The vegetables were crisp and tasty. The shrimp tempura wasnt caked in batter. The salad could use a little more dressing. It was just average. The same can be said for the miso soup that arrived warm rather than hot. They do add mushrooms to the miso soup, which was a surprise. Finally finished up with their California rolls. Well, it was just average.Service: Our waitresses Lily was awesome. Its nice to run into people who actually enjoy their job. She brought our food out promptly and checked in on us several times to make sure we were enjoying our meals. Service with a smile made our dining experience that much better.

The fried oysters, truffle ramen, and spicy miso are really good!!! I also loved their sashimi combo too. The fish is tasty & fresh. The restaurant is clean and the service is good. Ive been here many times and once I forgot my card on the table. One of the employees even chased me down the street to return it to me. Thank you so much! See you next time!!

Ive never been here for the ramen but only the sushi and tonkatsu rice plate. Their sashimi is so fresh and value I wish they made sushi rolls and focused more on that instead of the ramen. The tonkatsu is very value because you get two whole pieces of pork cutlet. This is a good place to get dinner.

I would challenge a below review, as I also tried the duck shoyu; and it was truly outstanding compared to other ramen in the area. Nailed every fundamental.Amazing broth (drank my whole bowl), surprisingly well seasoned meat, great soft boiled eggs, and good enough noodles. All without filler corn or other gimmicks. Some might called it minimalist; but I would take fundamental quality over extras any day of the week. The edamame was cold and unsalted; but had great texture, which indicates it was also cooked well.Very happy with this spot, and will be coming back again! PLEASE do not change the Shoyu ramen!!

Checked all the boxes for us. Similar to Amami in San Bruno but without the wait 👌🏼

Food is okay, service is good, ramen was salty but the egg and the pork were great! I might give it another try! Appetizers were delicious specially the fried chicken one! Hand rolls are ok as well! The water they served tasted really bad!

Food was okay but took an extremely long time to make, despite getting closer to the closing time for lunch.I think the shoyo ramen lacked a bit of flavor, while the spicy miso was made pretty well.
