I went with my family to Tomo Sushi and Japanese Fusion Restaurant in Northridge on Devonshire Street for a late lunch this afternoon, and the employees were very nice, and very inviting, and the food was delicious!! I ate the bento combination lunch special with salmon teriyaki and Californian rolls, which also came with a House salad, Miso soup and rice!! We didn’t even have to wait that long either! It was very good service, great food and nice employees!! Thank you so much!! We will definitely be back!!

This is a excellent resturant for any occasion. It is very clean, the staff is friendly and attentive. The service is surprisingly quick, and the quickness does not affect the quality. Very reasonably priced.I would highly recommend their Baked Salmon Roll, the udon noodles and the plum sake. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
Reconnected with a long lost friend of mine and his family here last night.The cut rolls were delicious and my gorgeous gf really enjoyed the Shrimp Tamura roll. Salmon skin, dynamite and other basics were on point, service was attentive and the atmosphere was joyful. Recommend this place, absolutely.
Great local spot for casual sushi dining. Staff are always super friendly, and the fish itself is extremely tasty and well prepared. Should definitely visit during happy hour! Ambience and decor is nice as well. My favorite is the albacore special roll. Always a hit, never a miss.
This is the BEST Sushi in the valley. Some of my favorites include the Baked Salmon Roll, Snow Cone Roll, Lemon Roll and the Energy Roll. Prices are very reasonable. The staff is always super friendly and attentive. They are currently having take out as well as outdoor seating with heating lamps. If you want delicious Sushi served with a smile...try Tomo!
Everyone that works here is the nicest person I ever met, they treat us so amazing every time we go in. The sushi is delicious and tastes really fresh. The rolls are very ascetically pleasing. The ambiance is very nice, something my girlfriend appreciates more than I do, but it is does have a classy feel. I love this sushi place, it is a hidden gem in the valley. May i say again that the service there is spectacular, I highly recommend.
The people working there are amazing! Recently they raised prices. Spicy tuna roll was $6.95 and now $8.50. Really? $1.55 more? Some other items are raised even more than that. The only reason Im angry is the quality went down too. Thats the name of the game raise prices lower food costs. I wouldnt mind but the quality got hit hard. Sad.
One of the Best Authentic Sushi in the Valley, and Ive been enjoying sushi since it became a trend in the early 80sYes it got pricy, but what establishment has not, The fact that they survived COVID shut downs and stayed in business is amazing.We have been to probably every Sushi restaurant in the Valley, this is one of the best, highly recommend.
I ordered from this place by accident thinking it was a different restaurant.. turned out to be the best mistake Ive made in years.. I felt like the rolls were a little small. But the quality was awesome. The food tasted great. And the prices were fair... to top it all off. The ladies working in front were extremely friendly and knew the menu extremely well
We were eating here weekly for the last 6 months up until the CV struck. The food is always fresh, consistent and attentive service. The restaurant isnt huge and can get busy during peak dinner time on a weekend but generally there is always 1 table left. Its not a fancy place but appears clean, has an awesome variety with tv screens showing the rolls they offer. The people are friendly, never let our water glasses get low and are personable. This has become our go to and we are pretty particular.
Nice friendly staff, however, only one waitress was on duty and she completely forgot about taking our order, and we were like the second group who arrived. Then food took quite a while before we were eventually served. This was a Tuesday night, so wasn’t that busy, yet several customers had to look around for the one overly busy waitress. Food was good, but they need two wait staff the entire time, not adding one later, as they did.
I have never had a bad experience here. Sushi is made fast and its always fresh. Great options for beer and other Japanese fare. My favorite is the Las Vegas Roll. Servers are very attentive also. You have to get multiple orders of rolls, you cant have just one!
Very yummy meal. Sharèd a few sushi roles, Salmon & Avocado along with Yellowtail, and then got an order of caterpillar role to go with. Also got a Spicy Sashimi Bowl with it. Very good experience overall. Requires proof of vaccination to enter, which I think is good, with this omicron variant and everything. The meal was somewhat cheap, with all that equaling to $60. The portions were large and everything was really good. Very nice.
Tomo is my go-to sushi place when I take my (adult) kids out to a family sushi dinner. The food is consistently fresh and made to order. They have a great variety of rolls, nigri, and sashimi. They have 4 or 5 no rice rolls. They are extremely accommodating of dietary restrictions and allergies.The staff is warm and attentive. They have a hot sake and Japanese beer special (order a Japanese import beer and get the hot sale for a penny. Limit of 2 per person)Lovely experience time after time. Tomo will always be our family spot.

Been coming here for 12 years and have seen the place go through 3 different owners. The current owner, Brandon, has really shaped it up. The quality of food has become consistently good, theyve switched their hours up and are now open later (until midnight), the menu is better and you really cant beat the current BOGO special they have on house sake and beer. The staff is always welcoming and attentive. Best part is its all very affordable but still focused on quality.
Awesome staff. Great food! Had the Dragon roll, mussels, unagi and calamari legs (tentacles). All prepared perfectly and delivered by cool people. Great vibe. Highly recommended.
My first time at Tomo was fantastic. I started with the Rock Shrimp appetizer. Amazing! I then went on with spicy tuna roll. Added to that octopus, tuna and bream (snapper) sushi. Everything was so fresh and tasty that this has become my go to sushi spot. I suggest you give them a try.

We came here for lunch and it was only 2 people eating at the restaurant. I thought it would be a little busier but it wasnt. We didnt mind since it would be faster service for us.The restaurant was very clean and It had great decor. It had an elevated dining area with a few tables which gives the restaurant a unique layout.We ordered a few rolls that you would typically find at every sushi restaurant. The California roll was good but it was not carefully prepared. The pieces fell apart when you picked it up with your chopsticks.The Crunch Roll was better prepared but lacked the taste. The only roll that I liked out of our order was the Salmon Skin roll. The roll was prepared with a nice design and the salmon skin was very tasty.Overall, the food was just ok.Given the other Yelp reviews, I thought the food would be better. Maybe we just had an inexperience sushi chef when we went.
They were kind enough to make Seared Tuna salad even though it was not on the menu. Absolutely delicious, and a good portion. Their Tofu salad was also a good helping. The server was so sweet and accommodating. Kudos to her and the chefs.

Food was okay, I’ve had better. Service was terrible, food came super slow. Also, a worker came by to our table and said, “oh, let me fill up your water”. That worker never came back.

This is by far our favorite sushi place in the Valley. Their Alaska roll, red dragon and rainbow are a bomb. Thir yummiest garlic edamame i could recommend trying all their Rolls. Its a really cozy place with friendly staff and it actually is a weekly stop for us

The only reason this restaurant is not getting 1 star from me is because the service is excellent. My wife and I both ordered chicken and neither of us ate more than the first 2 bites. It was the part of the chicken you would give your pet dog or cat, all strung together with fat and tendons, just horrible! I cannot believe a restaurant like this would actually serve this type of chicken to their customers! I asked if there was an option of white meat and they said no.

Very bad service. Kenneth Took my childrens orders and told him Id call him over once I was ready. After I called him again he told me to wait and I was waiting for a while as I watched him look over after other tables and help them out first before coming back to me. I lost my appetite after this terrible service.

2018-07-29 16:32:38Came here on a Saturday afternoon, it was a weird time too late for lunch but too early for dinner. Needless to say the place was empty. We ordered the lunch special, 2 items, plus miso soup, house salad, and orange slice. We both got the steak teriyaki, I got the Hawaiian roll and boyfriend got the snow cone roll. We both thoroughly enjoyed our lunch!!! The sauce was served on the side. The steak was marinated perfectly that it couldve been eaten on its own! However the sauce was a great addition. The Hawaiian roll had a light sauce on it, but they didnt drown the roll in it. The spicy tuna was the star of the roll and I wouldnt have it any other way. Boyfriend said snow cone roll was good. We both left full and only paid $23.99!The waitress was so sweet and attentive. She had an actual conversation with us and was a joy to be around!
