Ordered the no. 48 BBQ Chicken and Beef Teriyaki, and a California Roll. The chicken was old and smelly. The beef looked like road kill. I asked them to change the chicken for some fresh chicken and got back some more of the same smelly chicken. The only thing good was the cabbage and rice. The California Roll was average.I came in at 3:00 pm, dont know if that makes a difference. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy. DONT COME HERE.

Not the best teriyaki chicken bowl Ive ever had. Rice and shredded chicken. Not much else to it. Pretty bland flavor and the teriyaki sauce didnt help. Chicken was crunchy but some people like that charred texture.

This spot has Great basic rolls, I always grab the California rolls and the beef bowl with the sauce on the side, the special rolls are also very tasty and have some have scallops, not to mention the tempura salmon and tempura shrimp is also really good, the employees are also very professional and polite and will accommodate you as needed

Ehh. I shouldve went to waba grill. My California roll was falling apart. Chicken meat was from a chicken drumstick, my bowl had drumstick bones. Poor quality beef too. Wouldnt come back here. I wish I wouldve read the reviews prior to eating here. I hope I dont get sick. Probably the worst teriyaki Ive ever had. Im worried.

Really good food! Had to eat there as last alternative one day and ended up being one of my favorite places of all time. I Live in the Valley and I drive there just to have a Nice Crunchy Roll with Teriyaki Chicken and Beef.

Literally just got home from a pick up order. Maybe its different when you eat there but I got the spicy tuna, California roll, and the stuffed jalapenos.California roll tasted too much like mayo but had more rice then anything else. Same goes with the Spicy tuna roll, too much rice not enough tuna.The stuffed jalapenos are okay but nothing special.I might come back and eat there and see if theres any difference but I wouldnt recommend.

Theyll charge you for your meal and then interrupt you half way through to tell you you owe them more money but they wont tell you what you owe for. THEN they threaten to put you on YouTube if you dont pay the supposed difference. They even go as far as to try and take the food you already paid for back. Even though you have proof that you paid and have the original receipt.

Chicken was really dry and overcooked, to the point where the meat wad starting to turn a translucent brown. Food looks nothing like the menu, and the rolls didnt taste fresh. Would not recommend.

It use to a nice place to eat but the restaurant has gone down as if they stop caring about their customers and the restaurant the ceiling tiles were dirty and the tables were also dirty. I had the Udon soup and after having it at different Japanese restaurants I really feel like the people are getting cheated out of what use to be good.

Situated in the end shop of the 7-11 mini strip mall on the corner of Tyler & Rush, here in quaint little south El Monte. You don’t even notice this place at first. It’s next door to a water store and across from our local birrirria. And is rather unassuming in its identifying signs for here lies a Japanese restaurant. But venture inside and ask for a menu for a definite future trip, cuz you won’t be disappointed! The food is pretty fabulous. and there prices are fantastically low. I love this place and the owners are the cooks. A married couple who almost makes it seem there cooking for you at their home. In fact I’m gonna call and order my fave after I write this. The barbecue teriyaki is my all time number one. The only negative to Tomo Sushi is that they’re closed Sundays.:)

NOT GOOD !!!!!! Dont know what happened cuz Tomos is now using very cheap meat for their beef bowls, Tempura shrimp looked more like a CRAWDAD and someone forgot to warm the rice. One star is too good of a rating ......

Been coming for over 7 years. Food is always great, there really has been no change in flavor or quality. Customer service varies over the years from great to awful to ok. Nice local convenient sushi place.

On the pictures food looks completely different. The result after 25 min waiting was cheap cabbage, two very small pcs of salmon, a lot of cheap chinese rice and miso whater. The cashier girl was trying to put ginger by hands without gloves. $11.40. NOT recommended. Sorry, never again.
