Tonkotsu House Ramen in El Monte

The customer service was great. Love the fun anime decor. Booths were comfy. The food was of good quality and flavor. Couldn’t pass up on their special and the eel bowl. Good portions. Good place to just sit back and eat.

It was great ramen with such a rich stock.The restaurant is usually busy with people dinning in and people picking up their orders. Customer service is great and the order doesnt take longThe dinning area is relatively small however it has a good atmosphereLike a small hole in the wall that has the best food youve ever had 😅Theres enough parking on the strip where the restaurant is located and the food is well packaged with all the utensils and condiments youll need. We definitely recommend it!

First time here today and first time having Ramen. OMG I enjoyed it so much. It was delicious!! Will definitely be back.

The ramen soup is ok; its salty and savory but also tastes fatty. I dont think the noodles are made in-house. The meat is flavorful but too salty. The egg is perfect; the yolk walks, not runs.The salmon bowl is not worth the money; the salmon is cut paper thin. The beef in the beef bowl is really good quality meat but its too sweet. The eel bowl is fine.Friendly and fast service. Inexpensive eats.

From beginning to end, the service was horrible! I walked in with my brother we sat down. Both waitresses, looked at us, did not acknowledge us. I would say after about 10 minutes one waitress came up and asked if we were ready to order I placed my order my waitress wouldnt speak she would just nod. So I assume she got my order, correct. When she brought out the spicy tuna roll which I did not order, I ordered the spicy tuna with mayo. I let her know thats not what I ordered and she just looked at me and wouldnt say anything. I said I want what I ordered and I showed her on the menu she said do you want me to pack this to go, I said no I dont want it thats not what I ordered and on top of that it is extremely sloppy made as you can see in the picture! She asked again that she would pack it to go. She brought over a To-go container and left it at the table. She then brings the item I ordered also sloppy made, as I took the first bite, the tuna inside it was very warm, and I advised her that spicy tuna should not be warm and mushy consistency for it could not be at correct temperature and cause illness. The Tuna was a brown color which is definitely not how it should be! She did not reply she just nodded. I did not see her go back to advise the cook or anything. I did not finish my food. I realized that everyone was getting the same service as me, they did not care much to be attentive. I asked for my tab I was ready to go. I placed $100 bill and I asked her can I please get my change? She just nodded and turned around and went to go clean the tables at that point I was upset I got up and I picked up my ticket went to the front where the kitchen is and asked for my change and I told them how bad their service was. The Cook looked at me. The other waitress looked at me. They did not care to acknowledge they did not say anything, they gave me my change and didnt care. I definitely would never recommend this place to anyone not only did the sushi NOT meet TEMPERATURE standards and texture or colors which could cause illness but the service is beyond horrible.!!!!

My partner and I checked this place out for dinner and OMG. The ramen was so good and tasty. Spicy garlic ramen 👌🏼the portions were larger than expected, Plus! The restaurant has a fun anime vibe to it, which made our experience better. We will definitely be back.

Omg so freaking bomb got the El Monte Ramen so good spice is amazing I was worried about it not being hot enough, it didnt disappoint. Will definitely be back to try em all. I also got the spicy tuna rice cake. Straight delicious.

Today I tried out their regular tonkatsu ramen + the unagi bowl combo. The broth was really rich, which makes or breaks a ramen bowl. Noodles were the skinner shirataki type noodles and worked well with the bowl. Egg and chashu were also excellent! The unagi bowl was good, though its not a whole lot of eel. Overall though, definitely recommend you try out their ramen! Only downside is that there doesnt appear to be AC and it was 103F outside

Great little restaurant. The combo meals are fairly inexpensive for the amount of food. The food itself was delicious. Tonkotsu, beef bowl and milk tea for the combo with potato croquettes. Highly recommend. Also the staff was great and fast. Food was on the table within five minutes of ordering. Coming back with friends and family.
