One of the longest standing Korean restaurant in Buena Park, very close to knott’s berry farm.Very good price, lots of choices to choose from. It’s very popular in the area, they are well known for having AYCE Korean bbq that start at $19.99 and goes up to $38.99 for the top meat choices.I would definitely go back when I am in town.

We havent been to this place in years. In fact, the last time we were here, it was called Pinehill. Im so glad we came. The overall rating is more like 4.7 stars.For the price theyre charging, they offer a lot. Their self-serve banchan section is pretty big as well as good. The meat quality is excellent as well. Also, a lot of choices.The service was top notch. Servers were constantly coming by to check if we needed anything.I would definitely recommend Top BBQ Grill. You should definitely come here if youre in the area. Im sure you wont be disappointed.

Ive been coming here for awhile now, so unfortunately just like everything else the prices have gone up since then, but not quite like other establishments.When I first came here it was $19.99 or $34.99 (IIRC) and that was that.Well, they still have a $19.99 Happy Hour menu, but only for certain times of the day. I think this is a great idea because they still offer that price point when they could just discontinue it if they wanted to. Really commendable tbh!Anyway, if you cant make it during happy hour, they have a $22.99 menu and a $24.99 menu both of which STILL offer excellent value. My wife and I usually stick to their $20 or $23 menu, but sometimes go for the $25 because it has some meats on there that we enjoy. Personally, I enjoy the beef and pork belly and my wife like pork jowl. We both especially like the spicy marinated pork and chicken!In addition, they also offer a wide variety of options at their buffet! Lots of vegetables, sides, soups, rice, dessert, etc.Service has always been excellent here as well. As I mentioned earlier, Ive been coming here for awhile, on a somewhat regular basis and Top has never failed me. Excellent service, food, AND value.

Recently tried this place back in April and loved it ever since! This is the only place we come to for Korean Bbq. The service is pretty fast as far as seating, getting meats to table, etc. Love that they have a variety of side options and its buffet style which is the best part. The meat is pretty tasty! My only complaint is that I wish it was a little cleaner but its decent. Definitely recommend.

The food here is pretty great, everything we ordered came out faster than expected. The noodle and side dish bar was always stacked. Flavor of sides were really good too. Staff were very friendly and much more responsive and fast than any other ayce kbbq place Ive ever been to.

The staff is the best part of this place. For my first time eating alone I felt welcomed until the lady came with my change and said don’t come back alone on weekends. Only weekends!.. that was a complete turnoff. I will not return or tell anyone to try it either because they need more sides at the salad bar. The meat has no flavor what so ever. I only liked the servings and the servers and it was clean.

The price is good for what you get. If you care about that, this place might be for you.Food quality wasn’t top notch but it was fine. The pork belly wasn’t fresh but all the other meats were good.Service was pretty bad - we looked at our server dead in the eye and flagged her down three times. She made eye contact and then disappeared. It wasn’t until we asked someone else that he went over to her and made her come to our table. Probably not her fault as they seemed short staffed and she looked like she was serving the entire restaurant.We asked for more water and was told that they ran out? 10 minutes later they brought a pitcher. Not sure what was going on.It’s very loud here. Music is much louder than it needs to be so everyone is practically yelling at each other.I don’t think I’ll be returning.

First time for us to try this style of restaurant where you grill your own food. Food was good. Lots of choices. Service was excellent. Price was higher than I thought but not crazy.Pros. Grill your food how you like it and how much you want. I couldnt ask for more from the staff.Cons. Finicky eaters arent going to be happy. They could have a few more choices at the help yourself area. No refills on soda or tea. Cmon for the cost diners are paying a cup or two of soda is not going to kill your business. Could use a little more air conditioning.Overall I would recommend, especially for the first timers.

Its our first time going in Top bbq grill. We just saw Mr. Rockstar eats from Instagram, we were just around the neighborhood so we did check it out and had lunch. The food is great, so tasty and savory. Service is great, they are warm and welcoming. I have no problem and didnt encounter anything bad, they served us real good. We did like the atmosphere. We did like the vibe, servers speak their native language and well spoken in English. Also, they play Korean songs thats why we felt we were in Korea. Overall. We do recommend it. Honestly, it is cheaper compare to were we go to. Its best bang to your buck. We like it. I hope you guys like it! Enjoy.

This is a great place for Korean bbq, what I like most about this restaurant is that they allow you to go get your own side dishes which means you can get as much as you want for each side. They also have other things besides the Korean side dishes so overall very very good place to eat.

This place is probably the best KBBQ spot my wife and I have been to. The food was great, the service was amazing, and our server Noah was the best. There was even sunlight hitting my face and he got help to cover it up right away the moment he saw the sun in my eyes. Not alot of places care about their customers like that. Food is really good. but make sure you go over your checks.. as the restaurant PRE-CHARGE service fee already. I noticed it last time when I got home... I end up giving them total of $80 tips for a $200 meals.I didnt notice there is pre-charge 15%~16% service fee when I sign my credit card receipt. So, as usual I add another 15% tips to the receipt...SO MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR BILL before leaving restaurant.

The must try is the marinated beef bulgogi and the beef belly. This plenty of parking outside. Do not check-in online for reservations, it does not work. !!The restrooms are very clean!!It doesn’t seem like the place that will be busy from the outside or look to have appetizing food but hey, never judge a book by its cover. I went in mid-day and the service was very fast and food was quickly served. Shortly after being seated, many more guests arrived. This place is very good for the price paid. First time visit. Meats were fresh, well presented, tasty and a nice variety! Three price levels available most days except Friday. The prices were reasonable for the meats offered at each level. Service was excellent, especially the changing of grills (Ours was changed 3 times!), which really kept the smokiness level down. Salad bar was okay, but we didn’t go for that anyway!

Here is their menu, not sure if it is recent. They renovated the place I’m pretty sure. The floor is sticky on some places but its okay I guess. Food was great, they have a limit on the short ribs (phenomenal). They have like a buffet style serving for their salad bar, sauce, veggies, kimchi and all that stuff, fruits too. It’s pretty costly but worth it, staff is great. They have fancy water containers, music not that loud, their tables could be bigger!

I saw a few YouTube videos saying this place was really good, I decided to visit after checking on Knotts Berry Farm and after putting my name in the waiting list I was told I was not allowed to eat there because I only came in by myself not as a group. What kind of place doesnt allow people to eat there if theyre a small party of one, like thats bad business imo. To me thats bad service and i highly doubt Ill recommend this place to anyone else of larger groups if they treat solo customers like this like my moneys not good here. All you can eat kbbq with buffet for other food items. Banchan and sauces are self serve at the buffet. Ssamjang sauce you do need to ask for though. They have soups, noodles, spaghetti, salads, different pickled veggies, rice paper, fried rice, gyozas, etc. Price is pretty good compared to many other kbbq places especially for the meats, which come with a lot of selections too for the base price. We came on Easter and it was very busy, but even then we had very good service. Definitely a favorite kbbq place for my family and I.

I love this gem of a restaurant. I found it by accident, but its definitely worth more than the price. Most kbbqs cost an arm and a leg for unlimited sides and good quality meat. Here, everyone is attentive and nice. Theres a full salad bar with sides and soups. For $22 per person foreverything you get, its definitely worth everything you get and more. The food was not bad. The place is loud and very understaffed. I cooked my first round of meat long before my water came. (We had to get up and go to the hostess station to ask them to come get us our drinks) This was the only time our meats were replaced. We bussed our own table twice and left. Been coming here for several years, even when it was Gogiya. Def has been upgraded inside and they have improved the quality of food and service. The beef belly is prob my favorite, really good quality. As with most KBBQ places, youll cook your own food but you will also need to be prepared to get up to grab all of your own plates/tableware/napkins/ condiments/side dishes/desserts, etc, which isnt super convenient but on the positive side, you do get to pick and choose only what you want rather than having a table full of stuff put out for you that may just go to waste. All in all, a great place to eat, and they also carry Terra beer, so double thumbs up.

Service was good. Meats were good, lean and replaced frequently. Table top grills were replaced often to prevent burning. My disappointment was no hot dishes on the food bar. Gyozas, chicken tempura were cold. Soups were warm, but thats all. Soft drinks were in cans, no refills. Ice cream and jello on a small dessert bar. Dinner was ok. We opted for the mid price selection at $22.99 per person as it offered sirloin steak. That was the best part. They were very lean and tender. The brisket was sliced very thin and cooked quickly. Overall the meat was good, everything else fair. Theres plenty of Korean BBQs around now. There were 3 within 2 miles of Top. I probably wont return.

This place is the best!! Our server, Nate, was exceptionally helpful and management went above and beyond during our visit last Sunday. The food was EXCELLENT and we really enjoyed the variety of items. The restaurant was clean and they provided face masks, gloves, and barriers for the buffet and I felt very comfortable. Facial thermometer check in the front before going in. Very fast seating. Fast food service. We were checked up on often. All you can eat bar was actually very delicious! Never had fried rice taste so good! Everything was very tasty. But be warned that if you get the intestines, they do pop randomly. Table was coated in grease afterwards, no napkins that we could see, never got a check given to us, overall.. Yeah it was a great place to go. Would I go again, yes but probably less than once a year. Very pricey but they do give you plenty of food so make sure you are basically starving before you go in.

We opt for the premium selection which is 34$/person, food is not bad, but service was horrible. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone they cater to the their own people. We constantly had to flag someone down to get us more meat and refill our drinks, our cooktop was burnt, no one offered to change it, so we just ate a whole lot of veggies and drank our soju. Our bill came out to 97$ and we tipped $20 cash and that was the fastest anyone came back to our table. I will never go back

The self serve ban Chan is very efficient and I love that they have dduk Bo Ssam (rice cake wrap) and pickled radish Ssam as well! I was not impressed by the quality of the Shabu Shabu or the meets. The all you can eat was good to fill your belly. The price for both was $36. I thought it was a bit much for how much we ate. The first time, saw it on yelp.First, the food was just minimal quality for the prices. Hope that they would have better overall meat selection.The shabbu was ok only broth wasnt up to the to the taste. Better, get only the grill selection.And the selection for the side and salad bar wasnt really to the selection. Very limited item for the grill and shabbu. I find it too pricey for the same meat selection that Gojiya had at a much reasonable price. They dont have any desert unlike Gojiya, the sides are poorly presented. Former Pine Hill Korean BBQ is now Gogiya.Dropped by all-you-can-eat BBQ for lunch. Parking is easy and the place was not..busy..at..all... which was the first sign in where I thought I would regret walking in. The lunch price was incredibly cheap, perhaps because this particular plaza had 2 all-you-can-eat BBQ adjacent to one another. Usually, cheap price is not a good sign, unless you know, it had like 10k reviews with 4.5 stars or something. The restaurants should be competing against the quality of the meat or the variety of side-dishes available at the buffet as opposed trying to lure customers with lowering the price which should literally be their last resort.After taking a look at the buffet (and without much expectation), we decided to have the $12.99 all-you-can-eat BBQ where you can only pick and choose meat from the buffet (without ordering through the menu which was few dollars more expensive). I recommend eating the non-marinated meat as the marinated meat were pretty much.. you want some meat with that salt? salty. We left the comment to the waitress and she advised that the comment will be relayed to the owner/kitchen.As for the dessert that you were very curious about, do yourself a favor and have bingsoo elsewhere. Not only the machine seemed unattended, it was literally continuously shooting away the shave ice with no human around. I didnt want to touch the handle.As a supporter of local businesses, I wanted to add a few comments to the business owner. Unfair/improper treatment against the employee is not simply a frown upon the worker, but the business owner as well. Probation can be iterated to advise good behavior, but is it worth the shame that will fall on the owner? At the end of the day, it is the owners responsibility to put less salt in the marinated sauce or to help workers develop into a happy, diligent employee. My mother was also a waitress at a K-BBQ in San Francisco, I know how difficult job it is. But I guarantee you, the treatment from the owner has a greater impact.I highly recommend the restaurants do-over on the menu so that the cheap price is out of the picture so the quality of the meat can be displayed and highlighted. Just leave the cheap option out so no one talks/disses about it. Change to good options with respective menus so that no ones expecting something like senior prices from IHOP.I also recommend the restaurant to develop and redesign the treatment to employees. Ive never seen so many shout-out to an individual employee at a restaurant (I mean hair salons, nail salons yes, but BBQ?) I can only imagine the mental stress of the employee just from seeing so many sympathetic reviews. Lets promote good environment for both customers and employees, even the slightest changes are easily shown.

So we little complain about one food and ask to change the one food, but they didnt say anything about that. Ok, this can be just my opinion. NEVER AGAIN: They close at 9:30pm. It was 8:50. 40 minutes to their actual closing time. We walk in and the hostess says to us... We close at 9:30. THEY WOULDNT SEAT US! Guess what? I wont be going back again.... If you (Pine Hill) close at 9:30, YOU CLOSE at 9:30. I would understand if I had walked in at 9:15 with only 15 minutes, thats a dick move on my part. But 40 minutes before you close? Thats more than enough time for someone to get a meal and be out. I had flashbacks to my beloved King Genghis Khan Mongolian BBQ, which used to be open across the street from Forest Lawn in Cypress. *Sigh* Gone but not forgotten.For only $12 for weekday lunch, there is a plethora of food options available.My favorite, the brisket, beside pork bellies & pork chopsSeating is plentiful & compromised of booths and communal tables, easily accomodating large parties or a few friends. The waitresses were on their game, providing refills of water & keeping the complimentary rice coming for those that wanted it. Not me, though. I stick to the meat & veggies. We also didnt need to ask to have our grills changed. A quick change here, another change there, and we were back to clogging our arteries post haste.Besides the brisket, the highlight for me was the unlimited soft serve to end our meal. This wasnt the cheap powdered stuff Ive had before at other Asian buffets. Pinehills soft serve was quite nice. Cold, creamy soft. The perfect capper to gorging meat & even more meat. Im proud of myself for exhibiting some self-control by limiting the soft serve to 1 serving for me, BTW ;pI really enjoyed my experience at Pinehill BBQ & Seafood Buffet. I feel the weekday lunch offers tremendous variety & a lot of bang for the buck.
