This place was awesome! They AAlways have delicious seasonal drinks, as well as their yummy classics. The good selections is awesome and tasty. Next time I’m going to go for their bottomless mimosas. Great spot to grab a coffee or sit down and enjoy a nice breakfast. I definitely will be back.

Fastest cappuccino service Ive seen on a busy Sunday morning. Cinnamon roll is truly amazing not a cinabon knock off. Dough was bread was doughy and flavorful, Cinnamon filling was spicy and good, but not too sweet, topping completed the treat.Definitely worth the stop!

Drinks, food, and staff were all great. Love the vibe and all the dogs. Street parking outside, and lots of seating options indoors, out front, and out back as well. We are visiting from NJ and are glad to have found a sweet local spot to try.

After Kayaking and eating at a nearby restaurant we had coffee here. The staff was very friendly, coffee was good (espresso, latte and an americano). We also had a cinnamon roll that was split and everyone enjoyed it. The patio was spacious and comfortable.

We had an excellent London fog and tasty breakfast here while in Moro Bay. The portions for the avocado toast and top dog plate (eggs, bacon, etc) were very generous and delicious. There is seating both inside and in the garden in the back. Would definitely go back.

I waited over 1 hour for my food (a sandwich and a breakfast burrito). After checking on my order twice they finally brought it out. The sandwich was missing and the egg that I paid extra to have. They barely apologized. Horrible service. Food and coffees were decent but overpriced.

One of my favorite coffee shops, nice patio, good coffee / tea, they have kombucha fromWhale bird, yummy food (breakfast and lunch), decent wifi, friendly staff.Best part is they have a mission with their brand, check it out and let the owners tell you that. I walk in with my family and my dog and we’re all grumpy and hungry. I need my coffee and my kids need to boost their blood sugar levels. The barista greats us with so much respect and not only that he makes us excellent lattes, but he serves my dog with complementary omelette. Who does that? What a way to start the morning! Excellent service and wonderful people!

The place is clean and the staff is friendly. My first day there I had a breakfast burrito it was yummy. My last day I had the avocado toast (the egg is not included on it and it is extra charge). I had a medium mocha that was delicious. I recommended it 100%. I did not like the fact that everything closes too early even during the weekends.

Yummy food and a casual coffee house. Bustling with the morning crowd, but still a great place to get your morning cup of joe. Lots of choices of coffee drinks with several options for milk, coconut, reg, soy, almond and hemp!The Lox and everything bagel was a perfect option for Brunch. The breakfast sandwiches were thick and filled with the fluffiest eggs.We even got to meet Cooper, a beautiful yellow lab on his way to becoming an assist dog. Glad I could support this coffee shop and community! We will definitely be back!

Coffeee is worth the trip, owner is super hospitable, and the shaded rear garden area is a nice little oasis with fast wifi, bowls of dog water, comfy seating areas for people doing mobile remote work on the go. Our breakfast sandwiches were good. I got mine on gluten free bread. My chai drink was really good!!The service wasnt very friendly. And the lady taking our order at the counter wasnt wearing a mask. (Maybe shes the owner, and felt she can do whatever she wants.)Theres a cute patio in the back, but we ended up not staying back there, because the cushions were wet (from the moisture in the air, I guess), and the metal seats were cold. I think it would be nicer to sit back there in the summer.

Came here for coffee and ended up staying for brunch! We all got lox bagels, and man we’re they good! They have a really cute back patio that is dog friendly and comfortable (heating, covered spaces, comfy chairs). So glad we stumbled on this place! Really cute coffee shop that supports many good causes (animal rescue, veteran support dogs, etc.). Coffee was delicious, kids said the pastries were bomb, the dogs enjoyed there peanut butter treats and the breakfast burrito was one of the best! Good news is, if youre walking around downtown Morro Bay and want to enjoy a cup of Joe with your favorite furry friend. This place is dog friendly, with sidewalk sitting. Inside a tempting display case full of good looking pastries, and a menu of breakfast and lunch items.But....the prices are high in this funky, artsy coffee shop. The cappuccino for $ 3.50, that I ordered, was just a shot of coffee, with semi steamed milk in a paper cup. Ive have had better at an gasoline stations automaton machine.

The first time I went here, the latte was outstanding. The espresso was extremely smooth with a nice deep chocolate, nutty, toasty flavor with wonderfully steamed milk with beautiful micro foam. When we went to compliment the barista, turns out it was one of the cooks!Went back today, and the espresso still tasted good, but my traditional cappuccino had bubbly foam that seemed almost like it had been plopped on and the large latte also had bubbly foam (not horrible but was not microfoam). I was also confused as it looked like she poured a rosetta, but then took the thermometer and stirred the latte. I know I have very high standards and this was still very good. I just want to give my compliments to the cook!

Five stars. Great folks and great atmosphere. Back patio is premium for the fresh ocean air. Americano was on point, not too weak not too strong. Breakfast burrito was the size of a newborn baby, but to be serious good size and tasted great. Gluten free options for the wheat-less friends in the car, and last but not least you can bring your dog in to relax and get a treat at the counter. Will come back, and would recommend to anyone.

This is a great place to grab a coffee, tea or craft beer from a local brewery. The employees were a great help when giving suggestions on what to order and knowledge of the beer. Love Top Dog and have been coming here for 12 years! My favorite is the breakfast wheat bagel with a hot cup of English Breakfast Tea and my husband loves the burrito. That burrito is SO big, he can only eat half. Even though Im mainly a tea drinker, I LOVE the smell of coffee and if you love coffee, look no further..they have a great variety for every taste! You can relax and enjoy dining inside while admiring the dog portraits on the walls or outside on the garden. Either way, its always a great spor to relax.

Espresso here is sooooo strong, they can’t seem to get the ratio of milk to coffee right for their lattes even after asking for extra milk, breakfast burrito was just ok the first time, over loaded with pepper the second time. Pepper + bitter coffee is not a great flavor combination. Really really not cool with super unfriendly employees that don’t seem to care one way or the other whether your food is good or you had a good/bad experience, especially considering their prices and the whole store concept based on animal rescue support. At $20 for coffee and a burrito, both lacking in quality ( under cooked beans, dry scrambled eggs, very little cheese, burnt potatoes, way too much pepper) this place was very disappointing. I couldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I sincerely hope they take this review seriously to put more quality control in place for food prep and customer service.

Great little spot where we stopped 3 times while in town. The coffee was good and roasted in-house. We ordered some fresh baked goods a couple times as well. The Apple turnovers were hot, fresh out of the oven and delicious! The staff were all friendly and helpful. They have a nice garden area in the back where you can sit and enjoy. As an added bonus, they support an organization that teaches prison inmates to train service dogs which are then given for free yo those who need them.

Great coffee and atmosphere. They know exactly how to make cappuccino’s and macchiato’s. One of the employees even explained how to perfect the milk texture for the espresso drinks. Loved their meticulous attention to detail. We will be back for sure. Starbucks baristas should get trained here - to understand the milk vs foam proportions for their espresso drinks.

Adorable, dog themed coffee bar. Some of the proceeds go to help dogs and provide service dogs to those in need. Delicious desserts and yummy coffee drinks of all varieties. I spent 5 weeks in the USA and tasted 40 coffees and this one was the best. Second place goes to a place in Flagstaff! Top dog coffee shop did not disappoint. We ordered two large coffees and the coffee was absolutely perfect. Nice and strong but not too strong and the large was a decent size. No eat in due to Covid but we ordered take out for breakfast and honestly the avocado toast is the best ever!! Seriously order it now. My husband had the bagel breakfast sandwich and he also gave rave reviews. The owner and staff are very welcoming 5 stars!!

If not for the delicious drinks, it would be 1 star. Baristas brought down the whole vibe with their cant be bothered attitude. Simple orders came up wrong and the cinnamon rolls looked good but were deceiving. Dry, grocery store rolls with extra icing. Skip them! Very disappointed in the food, although the drinks were tasty, minus the attitude.

We were walking about while we were on vacation and decided to go in as we were hungry. It is a nice clean place there were quite a few people going in and out but we decided to sit in an ordered I had a Cortisone and my wife ordered a sandwich. I always assume that a small local coffee shop would serve cappuccinos with properly textured milk, but no, they always disappoint me with the floating dry foam on top of their bitter espresso. This is by far my favorite coffee place in Morro Bay. There is a wonderful patio in the back where dogs are welcome. I usually get espresso here, and its the tastiest and smoothest espresso you can imagine. The one downside of this place is their pastries. They taste usually not freshly made (Ive rarely had a crisp crust on top of their muffins), and the scones have been downright awful lately. Overall though, it is still my favorite coffee place in Morro Bay, period.

I really enjoyed going to this coffee shop at first. Great ambience, dog-friendly patio, friendly owners and most employees. Not to mention really good food and coffee. But I stopped going because of the rudeness of one employee who couldn’t even be bothered to refill my water. After being a short-term regular at the shop, it seemed a small thing to ask the barista for a water refill. But the guy couldn’t even bothered. To the owners, be aware of who represents your shop. As much as I enjoy all of the other factors of your business, this kind of disregard and rudeness is a deal-breaker. Negative energy and disregard for customers is the fastest way to lose loyalty, even for a place that really does deserve it.

My partner and I were walking down Main Street in search of food and drink. Most places were still closed at 11, so we tried out the new Butcher shop and grabbed a couple of sandwiches. The owners were friendly and the sandwiches looked amazing! (We were very pleased).In search of a place to sit and eat them, we strolled down the street. Seeing Top Dog, a local coffee shop Ive never been to, we headed in for some smoothies and kombucha to go with our sandos. We werent hiding our sandwiches when we came in and ordered, so we were surprised that after ordering and sitting down to eat, the owner approached us and told us we could not eat our food there because he has a kitchen that serves food. He acknowledged that we did buy drinks, but said something about it looking bad and having to fight off customers. My partner pounded her kombucha quickly and my smoothy arrived as we headed out the door to enjoy our sandwiches at home instead.While I understand that the food could be a conflict of interest, we had already purchased food, so the chances of him getting our food business was slim. However, had we been allowed to stay and enjoy another local business food, we would have enjoyed and purchased more drinks and items from their coffee shop, in addition to others, instead of having to down a bubbly drink and drive home to eat instead.In light of all that has happened this past year and in the spirit of wanting to support multiple local businesses, we had hoped to enjoy our day sauntering about and purusing the town again. Instead, we were deflated and went home because a local business man didnt want to share his patio with someone who purchases food from other local businesses, regardless of whether we were patrons or not.

I was very disappointed with my recent experience here as I have heard such amazing things. I usually don’t take the time to write reviews, and having been a server myself I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. I ordered a chai latte and what came out was probably just a foamed milk with either espresso or something else added, but it didn’t taste like chai or coffee, I went up to the counter and asked if they could possibly re make my drink, the barista popped the lid of, smelled the drink and said “ well I made a chai so I don’t know what to tell you” and slid the drink back to me. It was disappointing that she didn’t make time to just remake the order. I later went back and ordered a chai, which was an actual chai, and it tasted awesome. I hate to be a Karen but it’s really not that hard to remake a drink someone spent $5 on, and not just smell it with your mouth inches from their beverage in the middle of a global pandemic.

My roommates sister recommended this place so we had to check it out. I ordered the Chaimayan which was a mix of chai and Mexican chocolate, and almond milk on request. It was delicious! It was the perfect blend of cinnamon and chocolate. The space is warm and quiet. There were students on their laptops studying.. They also have a wall where you can write a message. I am a regular. I come in at least a couple of days/week and get my tea and something to snack on. I always meet people i know while i am here and i love the outside garden on a sunny day. I like the brave and the chai as well, i just have to watch the calories ;)

Mexican chocolate mocha and a cinnamon crisp. (Kind of a churro frisbee). All delicious. Highlight was the garden out back. Surrounded by beautiful plants and happy nature sounds. Great coffee experience.

Great little coffee shop that serves a nice tasty fare of sandwiches, bakes goods and more. Very animal friendly place with a dog theme.

Sweet spot to get a coffee (or beer) in Morrow Bay. Good coffee and very sweet staff. Awesome local business that supports the use of dogs to heal veterans. 💓

My family’s first time here. Loved my mocha iced coffee, hubby loved his Mexican iced coffee and my daughter loved her mango smoothie. Very good😋
