Melissa (BAR) failed to offer anything to drink, not too friendly, that is until her buddies showed up. I had to get up and ask another employee who gladly poured me a drink. The food looked great, but it was way too saucy. It was hard to separate all the different flavors in the rolls, the sauce overwhelmed them. I would give it another shot and try something different next time.

This review is for non-grill experienceImmediately seated on a Saturday evening. Our fave was the Tokyo roll--juicy and lots of sauce. Decent portions for value. Ambience is certainly great for large parties and dates--can seem loud but very lively. Extremely difficult parking but massive plaza lot.

Good food, small portions, bad service.We ordered the stone grill set for two, which turned out to be mostly fried rice. The meat was very good, though. We also ordered a roll, which was pretty good too.We were quoted a 30-minute wait but it ended up being closer to 50 minutes. Not all tables were full. Im guessing they are very understaffed.Service was very bad. We ordered quickly, then had to ask for plates and utensils after our sushi arrived. The wasabi tray took even longer and we were halfway done with the roll by the time it showed up. Water was never refilled during the meal, but oddly they refilled one of them (but not the other) when we were done.

That was my first time at Toros and I must say I was truly impressed with the quality of the food and decor. Very nice place that I highly recommend ..the waitress that took care of us was extremely professional and very patient with us as well as we did not know well the menu. Big plus for service, the manager also comped us for our desert! Nice touch!

The variety, and very aesthetically pleasing food is a major plus. We tried the Stone Grill Omakase Set and the sushi sashimi platter which gives you a sample of all the meats and seafood. Restaurant with plenty of space and easily able to accommodate a large group. We ended up using a room that is able to hold 40 people for our group of 30 people. It had a nice karaoke bar in the center of the room with 2 long dining tables on either side. The grilled A5 Japanese Wagyu is delicious, rich, and reasonably priced. The sushi options were tasty and surprisingly good variety including sweet obi, otoro (fatty tuna), fried shrimp heads.

Ordered for pickup and items were bagged in a reusable bag. Good portion of edamame. Signature rolls were delicious though pieces were sliced uneven. Great that soy sauce packets that came with order were the low sodium version. Price wise on the higher end.

Was so excited to try this place, but am a bit let down. Taste wise, it is acceptable.You can tell the sashimi isn’t cut fresh. Based on the texture (looks rubbery) you can tell it is precut and refrigerated, and honestly either tastes fishy or like nothing at all. What REALLY gives it away, is the fact that there are shriveled green onions on the hamachi l o l. The tuna was the worst offender, the yellowtail better but afterwards was not sitting well. 🥴The wagyu clay pot flavor was great! However, it’s served in a pot that is usually for soondobu, so the rice doesn’t get very crispy on the bottom.. aka the best part 🥲We also got the tonkatsu ramen, which once again flavor was fine, but served luke warm. There was noodle chunks which tells me everything is prepared, sits there, and just warmed together for serving. Makes sense since it all came out pretty fast.I debated between 2 or 3 stars, but I’ll give it a 3 for now because rice and noodle dishes were acceptable flavor-wise. I would like to come back to try the wagyu on stone grill as it seems like a lot of people say good things about that? But we’ll see.

I have been here a couple times. Today it was a to-go order. So I took photos.* Modern Japanese style place, looks nice inside and outside. They have a pretty cozy patio.* Very clear place with well trained staff. Just love it in any place when we go out.* Food and fish fresh.* They have owens inside. So you can spend some fun time with your friends or family cooking some meat.Will definitely visit again. Only one cons. Not a cheap place. But its worth it.

Finally got the opportunity to try the stone grill. It was okay. Pretty standard for self grilling on a plate. A little pricey. Ordered the omakase stone grill set and a sushi/sashimi platter. Fish was fresh. Service was a lite slow. More ventilation is needed especially since we sat next a table that burnt their meat so smoke was everywhere.

This place was quite the find. Very reasonably priced for the quality and selection that they provide. Great atmosphere, good service and delicious food. If you like sushi, this is definitely a place to check out. Will definitely be back with friends and will try the stone grill side next year.

Average quality sushi and hot stone meats at a really marked up price. Service was good and our server was fairly attentive. Ventilation in the grill area was poor and I felt like I was sitting in front of a meaty campfire, with the smoke blowing straight into my face most of the time. Decent dinner, but I would probably stick with either going to a good sushi restaurant or a good Korean bbq place instead of this place which is average but serves both.

I came here the first time with a small group and got a mixture of appetizers and sushi. I’ve ordered nigiri quite often at multiple restaurants and I’ve never seen it served with so much rice. The rice texture was overpowering the fish. I ended up removing 1/3 of the rice to enjoy the meal. I’d rate Toro four stars if it wasn’t for this issue.The fish quality was decent, but not amazing.I’ve only tried the sushi here. The grill area is a separate side of the restaurant that I cannot rate.

I love Toro - Blue Fin Tuna but hardly can find it at any sushi restaurant. They have it here with very reasonable price. They also have wagyu beef, you can enjoy sushi or grill. Excellent service, reasonable price and plenty of choice. During the pandemic, their patio is open for sitting down, very nice but kind of windy because of the shape of the building.

We resereved a private room for a party of 9 for our anniversary and got so disappointed by their bad service. The waiter didn t come in the room to check if we needed anything. I had to walk outside the room 3 times to ask for him. We had to wait for almost an hour for the food to come out, and the plates were brought out three different times. We didn t even had the forks and knives to eat the steak and lamb chops. The food was good and the price was reasonable, but the service was not professional at all.

Beautiful Japanese restaurant, great place to take your date on an upscale evening. Choice of outstanding Japanese or American Wagyu or Excellent cuts of fresh sushi/sashimi. So many choices on both sides! I felt that their pricing was reasonable for the quality (Japanese A5 Wagyu for $79). Omakase with Blue fin tuna nigiri for $40!In addition, the lunch menu has discounted yakiniku (barbecue meats) and sushi and sashimi sets. The Kumamoto oysters on the half shell was just amazing! Soy sauce/vinegar sauce paired well with the soft tasty oyster.The decorations and design border eccentric (maybe a little over the top), but modern and sophisticated.Be sure to show your Yelp check for free Haagen Daz dessert!

Review is for the AYCE Sushi only, which is only available Tuesdays as of this writing.We used to come for ayce sushi when it was Kaenyama and we loved it. They ended the ayce, but then started it again when it became Toro, so I was very excited.Food: the taste is pretty decent. The rolls are tasty, and it includes sashimi so bonus points there. The fish tasted pretty decent. The appetizers were not great, dont waste your stomach! It also includes a lobster tail for each person. None of us were big lobster fans but pretty universally felt it was overcooked. Also wasnt fun getting lobster out of the shell with chopsticks.Selection: this was a problem, the selection is a lot more limited than the a la carte menu. So I had to ding a point here. The sashimi/nigiri selection is limited. There arent really any grilled items like salmon collar. Theres no dishes with lobster other than the initial lobster tail. The beef negimaki I liked so much at Kaenyama was not on the menu. Theres still enough stuff to get full, but we had to order a lot of repeats. There are also no desserts included, which is a faux pas. Not even a feel-good cheap ice cream at the end? Come on.Ambiance/service: this was another problem. All the servers were friendly and the atmosphere is good, no problems there. They give you this iPad to tally what you want to order, but you have to wait for the server to come by and log in to put the order in. The orders come in small plates, so the shrimp tempura was 2 per order and the shumai/gyoza was 3 per order. Even if you order multiples, they bring multiple plates with 2 shrimp each. As a result, the servers are very busy so youre waiting forever to get orders in, for refills, etc. It felt very slow and inefficient, so we didnt like that.Price: this was a big problem. The food and selection is not worth the $34.99 they are charging. It is closer to a $25-30 value.In the end, its not the same as Kaenyama was and I wont be returning for the ayce sushi. Maybe the grill? Well see.

I made a reservation via Yelp and was happy that I didnt run into too many issues when I checked in. The only issue they seemed to have was that the reservation did not specify bbq or sushi side (which I did not see an option when making the reservation online). The hostesses looked a bit peeved and had to check multiple times before seating me (despite having tables open on both sides). First impression of service was already just ok. Then the rest of the meal, I had to say the service was very mediocre for how nice this restaurant seemed to look.After being seated, you are given a tablet to order. It was actually quite nice to be able to see pictures of everything in addition to matching it to the description in the physical menu.Since this place was called Toro Sushi, I felt like I had to order the Toro sashimi to try, which was on their special board for the day, as well as a uni sushi. The uni was fresh and tasty and portion was reasonable. The toro however, was a bit overpriced for 3 thin pieces. It was also just ok, and Ive had better.The two rolls that I thought were very good were the Oh my God roll, and sexy lady. Both worth trying and very saucy (if you like the saucy kind of sushi). Another dish I highly recommend is the wagyu beef clay pot. I loved that the clay pot cooks the rice enough so you get some of the of crunchy rice on the bottom of the pot. The flavorful rice is definitely the saving grace, since you barely see any beef in there. But again, flavor was amazing, so I would definitely recommend trying it.If youre up for a more expensive sushi meal, then this is your restaurant. Its pricey but delicious, and a nice environment for a date or a nice meal out.

This was a special occasion for my wife and me. So we decided to splurge a little bit. The wagyu is so good. Very soft and tender. The ramen was also good but the miso was great. Absolutely delicious. There is something for everyone at this restaurant. Ramen, stone grilled meat, sushi, rice.

Hard to find good one in Bay Area especially Fremont. This restaurant newly changed owner and revamped the whole image of the restaurant. The quality of the sushi, sashimi, sushi roll are really good. They have the right size of the sushi, sashimi cut is perfect cut. Great environment but serving rather too fast .. not too bad in Fremont standard ..May 2022Returning trip after 3 years. Standard retained and order a love boat for 2 pax. Enjoyable!

This is my go to sushi spot here in Fremont! Fresh sashimi and delicious food! The size of this restaurant is massive, They have a full bar with a wide variety of special cocktails. The hallway to the bathroom looks super cool with rainbow lights! They have private rooms for big parties and a separate seating area for the stone grill for grilling meats.

This is an upgraded Kaenyama... Not sure what the hype was.Perhaps non residents and newcomers would see this place like heaven but this is just another restaurant that has an area for karoake for big groups of folks, then another area for the Korean Bbq, then another area for Sushi and an area for lounging.Again this is the modern Kaenyama, this was the japanese restaurant that turns into a lounge/bar at night many many many years ago 😂Our experience was not that impressive, perhaps we have been to so many places and this didnt really give us a wow factor.Decor and the spacious environment was not bad.Liked the idea of having a cleaned chopsticks.The female worker who assisted us clearly did not like her job, so why work then little girl? Give your job to someone else who is hungry for work and is not lazy...this perhaps did not aid with our experience.Their gimmick of giving tablets/iPad to their customers is not that efficient. The worker has to come back to finalize the order.This is the same concept from kura sushi, the only difference is kuras very efficient.Anyway, sushi/ramen/Japanese food was average...Guess this will be the norm in the bay area 😭we still have to try the Korean Bbq, so hopefully it will be a good experience and we might raise up the rating when we do come back.

Went here for the first time today around 5pm for dinner.We had the imported A5 wagyu ($90) and the BBQ dinner combo for 2 ($80) with garlic noodles ($10) as a side. There is only about 5 pieces of meat per type in the dinner combo which is pretty small compared to other BBQ places, but along with the side dishes it was filling. We had it on the stone grill on the BBQ side.Overall, taste was as expected. Service was slightly lacking. We had a younger gentleman who didnt even attend to us when we sat down - we had to come up to the server station to get his attention to order our food. Other than that, no complaints.

This was place was amaz-balls. The Hard rock volcano & the aircraft rolls where on point if you like slightly spicy. Fasy service we ordered 4 rools and sashimi and it all came in 10-15 minutes!! Waiters are really friendly and they check up on you with water and tea when you need it no waiting. My first experience was great! Also its not too expensive quite affordable & its beautiful and fancy inside.

It is a Chinese-run sushi and yakiniku spot. I think that much should give you a proper impression of what to expect.In terms of the quality of the meat and food itself, not bad. I was relatively full and enjoyed most of the meal.The issues are in the details.We were one of only a handful of parties in the yakiniku section. Most of the patrons were just ordering sushi and the place was about half-packed. You would think we would get our meat platter relatively quickly since were doing the cooking and the meat just needs to be cut.Well, it took a good 20 minutes before it came out, then the waitress forgot to bring the garlic rice over, then we were confused as to why they served red onions instead of white onions since white onions caramelize better and complement grilled beef better too.The whole experience isnt a mess, but at this price point, you would expect something that didnt feel kinda mishmashed. It works, but theres a jerryrigged feeling to the execution.

My wife and I with our little Maltese Puppy (Prince) went for lunch at Toro Sushi for the first time. The place was very clean and with sufficient distance between tables. All service was outside and well maintained.Mouthwatering menu enticed us to explore many things, but since only 2 of us, we decided to start with something and visit more times to explore the rest of the menu.The sashimi was very fresh and the choices were great. My wife enjoyed the Wagyu together with a tasty roll.Service is great and place is clean. We will go again to enjoy more things.

Finally found the trifecta of the perfect Sushi outing! This place is swank, great decor, large high ceilings, full bar and lounge, hamachi and sushi rooms. The food was delicious! Service was on point, and very helpful. We had the dragon roll, lion king roll, samurai roll and sashimi, Everything was Bomb.I love that it is affordable but classy enough to dress up for!

Everyone table gets a complimentary salad. Ours had some clearly older leaves, though otherwise it was okay. Yakiniku ala carte choices are pretty expensive, though they may be good quality. The harami-style steak was nicely marbled and very tender. The restaurant was missing at least one sushi chef when we went, so we waited 30 min after finishing our other food to get sushi. The Hard Rock Volcano roll was good (4 pcs for $10 during Happy Hour) though there was too much sauce to taste the fish. Food quality was good enough to possibly go again, but the cost may be too high for what you get.

Went with friends. Food was good but not great. I was close to going with 4 stars but the prices are ridiculous. For $100 per person the quality of the food should knock your socks off and it did not. A couple people in our group did have a drink but its still overpriced.Cooking your own meat and veggies at the table makes for a fun experience. If you are OK with the high prices its a fun experience.

Really great sushi join in Pacific Commons in Fremont. Didn’t do the all you can eat but the sushi a la cart is very solid. Recommend the tuna Tataki for an appetizer and the hot stone wagyu beef is insanely tender. Great place for a date night or sharing sushi with friends.

All you can eat is dishonest. They pretend to take your order but food doesnt come. Restaurant was pretty empty at 4pm but after the first plate of food, didnt actually send our order and left our table empty for more than half hour. Love this place! I think it is a great upgrade compared to Kaenyama and a good spot to have a nice dinner in Fremont. It can definitely be pricey but its worth it sometimes.Tip 1: get the WAGYU FRIED RICE. You wont regret it!They have two options, Japanese BBQ and Japanese sushi. I have to say that their BBQ is excellent, the quality of the meats are great and their stone grill is unique. They have a great selection and I would love to try their wagyu omakase next time.They have sushi also. While I dont think it is the best sushi I have ever had, it is still a nice place to come for sushi with a beautiful sushi boat option. I have also came here for the $35 AYCE option which included a lobster tail, rolls, nigiri, and SASHIMI! I thought it was much better than Kenzo specifically because they have sashimi here. However, there is a lot of rice in the nigiri which is a downside.Anyways- I love to come here because of the atmosphere. It is beautiful inside and service is good!

Sushi was good. Came in on a Saturday around 8pm, the place was semi busy. I was able to get a table without waiting, however it was for the regular tables that serve the sushi and ready made food. The tables with the stone grill so you can cook yourself was about a 45 minute wait. That is definitely on my “go to” list. Going back to the sushi, nothing fancy but at the same time not cheap either. Had to order the toro since the restaurant is named Toro. I asked them to sear the toro for me and they said sure, since it’s not on the menu. What do you think of the sear?Bonus points for the replaceable chop stick tips. At least I know they aren’t washing the chop sticks halfway and pushing them out again.I will revisit this review once I do the tone grill part of restaurant

We’ve dined many times in this restaurant before. Today I was served tempura using shrimps that were mushy which means these are no longer fresh. I was not able to eat the tempura. I ordered raw Blue Fin tuna nigiri (toro) and was served seared tuna. Who serves seared toro? It only means that they were trying to mask fish that was no longer fresh. Got some takeout, nice building inside with a. Welcoming and accomodating receptionist. 10-15 to do two bento chiken and steak. Split the chicken and steak between us. Came with white rice and miso soup, good flavors all around. Chicken is moist, as is the steak(well done) good rich smooth flavor. Gyoza are perfectly fried. Miso is also well done . The staff is so sweet and attentive. And the food? GIRL. I have NEVER liked a broth enough in any udon, ramen, or phó to finish it but this place has great broth in their udons! If you like it spicy like me they offer Sriracha or chili paste upon request (absolutely to die for this way). Tried some of my friends chicken katsu curry and it was amazing too! Not too sweet and not too overpowering in curry flavor, perfectly balanced. The ambiance of this place is upscale and the path to the bathroom has a beautiful lighted floor and a fun projector of the sea. I highly recommend 👌🏻

Dinner after a company meeting. Our management reserved a room in which they had karaoke. There was about 22 of us in the room. Table set up could have been better as it didnt give us much room. Four burners were set up and our management had pre ordered food. We were able to add on drinks in which they handled relatively quick. Got to try Opus One and it was very smooth to taste. The fri3d rice was a bit too oily for me. The sushi boat looked beautiful but Im not a fan of sushi. Wagyu beef was pretty good, but still tasted too much like fat for me at least. Overall, it was a nice experience here.

REAL BAD. I Hope you never have to come here. Its not just that the food hygiene is real bad, its that they dont seem to care at all.We ordered 3 bento box, two sushi roll plates, and a sashimi platter. There was hair in the rice that my wife was feeding to my little toddler, and the manager didnt bother to offer an apology, rather came off as this is sth pretty normal or happens all the time at this place, and just plainly said let me get you a new plate, then she gave me a clean plate, and didnt say anything else. I felt nauseated and couldnt continue from that point on as I dont know what else is in the meal from the sink. A supposedly great holiday long weekend turned into a nauseous panic - my whole family is concerned whats about to happen - hopefully we dont get food poisoned and have to go to the hospital this weekend.They serve raw meat here, and Im supposed to trust the food hygiene and safety here especially because of that - the unfortunate reality punched me in the gut - they seem to know they have poor food hygiene all along and just dont care.I complained to the Alameda County Health Department right there on the spot.Still feeling nauseated after I got home.

Salmon belly Sashimi tasted great, however portion for each piece was smallest Ive ever been served! Korean Short Ribs were great. Vegetables (Broccoli, Carrots Zucchini) Were perfectly seasoned however carrots and Broccoli stems were not cooked completely through. Service was slow once we were seated. The waiter or buss person whomever was responsible for clearing empty dishes was not doing so. I was stacking our dishes and moving them to the side as we were finishing them. First of all - people need to stop claiming this place is “authentic!” There is nothing “Japanese authentic” about this place. Most Americans haven’t got a clue what “real Japanese sushi” is and this place DEFINITELY is not even close. The place is a Chinese ran! Nothing wrong with a Chinese guy running a Japanese restaurant but stop calling it authentic. The spicy tuna sushi/nigiri was awful; the kapa maki - almost hot to the touch?? Tai - old fish and had them take it back. Same with the Hamachi. The Waygu meat is U.S. and a bit steep. They have one small plate of Japanese Waygu BBQ - 4 slices for 90 USD?? Total rip off. Best part of the meal was the gyoza but it wasn’t homemade. Wait….. my drink, a coke was great! 2 stars because our server was fantastic - food, don’t waste your money!

I’m a pescatarian so I didn’t order any wagyu beef or anything, which is probably why I didn’t have an amazing experience. I got the omakase sushi set, which was pretty underwhelming in my opinion for the 40 dollars it cost. The wasabi was very obviously just green horseradish, and the fish and the rice were okay but nothing mindblowing. All in all, 5/5. Food was great, costumer service was great. We visited on a Saturday at around 8:00pm.We ate at the stone grill. We ordered two rolls of sushi, and they were better than expected. Also, they came out very quickly, and still looked gorgeous.We ordered a bunch of meats. All of them were super tender, they melted in your mouth, and they didnt need any added seasoning in my opinion. These also came out very quickly, nicely displayed on these wooden step-like serving boards.We came here to try something new since our original choice had an extremely long wait time. The wait was very short, and the atmosphere was pleasant. It is a little noisy, but the music wasnt blaring over the speakers which made it almost soothing.The booths are comfortable, and you dont sink in too much. The table was very clean, and I liked the chopsticks that had disposable tips while the rest of the chopsticks were washable.Customer service was wonderful. Our waitress was very attentive, and I felt very taken care of. The tip was included, and it was a fair tip, not too much, not too little.Again, 5/5 stars. I would definitely come again on another special occasion.

Well it is an experience to remember, I am all sushi out, the food is incredible the service fantastic but be warned you can be overwhelmed quickly with the quantity of food that comes rapidly. We made a mistake and ordered 18 dishes at once well don’t do this start with a couple then do several rounds up to five or more if you can manage it. Pace yourself! Came for my nieces birthday. The food was good, but the staff was inexperienced at the time. They forgotten us and didnt take orders until near an hour after seating. We had to leave the room to flag someone. They had some of the orders wrong and forgot a couple plates until it was cold. The knife they gave us broke at the handle when the niece was cutting the cake. Thats just some of the experience. Food was good.

The menu is overwhelming so you do need their help as a first-timer. If I lived nearer to Toro I would definitely be one of their regulars. Like another reviewer, this place is a sauna during hot weather days! They cheap out on the AC — so much so that it was unbearable. We wanted to escape the heat and go out for a nice dinner. Instead we suffered. The manager swore the AC was on but even the kitchen staff had their door propped open. If the AC was on, they would not have any open doors. Other patrons left before ordering because the were smarter than us. Never ever will we return to an establishment that touts itself as upscale yet are too cheap to crank up the air conditioning. The bathrooms are stinky and dirty too. You can smell then as you walk down the hallway toward them. Disgusting!

Pretty good. Nigri salmon was on the small side but pretty good. Has a little wasabi under the salmon. There are some fusion items you may want to stay away from. Many of the rolls are listed as spicy which I dont recommend especially the more delicate fishes that should not have their taste disguised. The agedashi tofu was excellent! Parking is good too.

Overpriced for what you get.you have too many staff members that stand at attention but dont seem to acknowledge patrons. We waited for our drinks as we looked at the menu. We had two people take our drink order but the lack of conversation on their part led us not getting any drinks because they did not communicate to each other. When it came time to order it took just as long because both servers assumed the other was going to take our order. I have worked in food and hospitality in my life time and communication is key when serving guests and patrons. If they work on this they are surely to improve. On a good note, the food we did get was prepared well, since it was a tapinyaki bar and we cooked it ourselves.

Located across the street from the movie theater so its an easy choice to eat and drink before a showing. They have a well stocked bar area. On Mondays, rolls are 50% off! The service here really brought down the experience. My husband and I came for the all you can eat sushi. You order off of a tablet, which is nice in theory, but it was very confusing and requires the wait staff to actually submit the order after you finish choosing. Which is fine unless your waitress goes missing for over 10 minutes at a time. You can also only order 3 entrees per person at a time. Understandable for sushi rolls, but that also includes the 2 piece sashimi. And with two people, you cannot order more than 4 orders of sashimi at a time. This severely limits the amount of food you can get at a time, which sucks if you have two people that really like sashimi. Additionally you cannot put in more than 2 back to back orders as our waitress rendered the tablet inoperable to stop any additional orders until the food came out. We were the second party seated in the restaurant, but it still took over half an hour for our rolls to come out. Food was decent as long as you dont order any of the appetizers (those were terrible), but for the price we paid, could have had a much better experience elsewhere. Dont think well be back.

Came here tonight for the first time for a date and was quite thoroughly impressed with the service. Had a reservation for 7:30, but we wound up not being seated till 7:40 because my date was running late. Despite not making our reservation time, they had no problems accommodating us and simply told me to let them know when we were ready. At which time, they quickly sat us at a table without any complaints or additional wait times.We opted to do the stone grills, which consists of a stone tray over a gas burner. Youre given 3 menus: the sushi menu, the drinks menu, and your proteins menu for your grill. For drinks, we both opted to go with the delicious sounding (and delicious tasting!) mango mania. For meats, we ordered the following:-Premium Beef Tongue-Premium Gold Line Wagyu-Kurobuta Bara (pork belly)-Sausages-Wagyu Clay Pot RiceThe clay pot rice is mixed at your table, and smells delicious. The taste however was only ok and nothing to really write home about. The various meats (tongue and wagyu) were actually a bit tougher than I would have preferred, with a lot less marbling than I was expecting. Next time, I think Ill upgrade to the A5 wagyu and try that out instead.The real highlight of the meal however was the sausages. Although small, they were tiny bursts of flavor explosions in my mouth that was ohh sooo good! Honestly, I wouldnt mind ordering just all sausages next time.The interior of the place is very clean and decorated in a very upscale manner. Staff are all very friendly, and there is a cool lighted floor on your way to the bathroom that is neat to walk across.Overall, I felt the food was only ok, but the service definitely was above and beyond and made up for the average food. Would not mind coming back again!

Was told this was a nicer Japanese restaurant, but after my visit the only thing nice was the decor. We ordered bentos and rolls for lunch, and did not experience the grill side of the restaurant. Miso soup that came with the bento was fine and not too salty, but also unexpectedly slightly sweet. The bento did not come with a salad like almost every other place does, and instead came with a small amount of grilled vegetables which seemed almost like garnish instead of vegetable side. Salmon teriyaki was ok, no complaints. Chicken teriyaki had a very very odd texture, very spongelike and rubbery, and was a huge disappointment. For something so basic to go so wrong pretty much meant we would not visit or recommend this restaurant. If youre looking to impress people with drinks and grilled steaks this still might be a good fit, but I wouldnt go there expecting good quality regular Japanese food.

We ended up going here because the BBQ place was out of food. We had a part of 7 for Fathers day. We ordered out food with in 15 minutes of being seated. 3 out of us got sushi dishes 2 more ordered tempura dishes and 1 ordered the Korean BBQ ribs and I ordered an udon noodle dish. We had to constantly ask for refills on our water as well as soda. The food came in a decent amount of time, but the Korean BBQ and udon meal didnt come till everyone else had finished their meals. We werent offered any type of compensation nor were we approached by a manager tlnor offered any apologies as to why the last two meals took so long. I have told everyone that I work with and friends not to visit this establishment. Its too bad because to food was good and my meal was hot so I know that it wasnt out in the same time that the other meals were. The nigiri was delicious: soft and supple and just the right temperature. We had scallop, eel and uni and they were memorable. If that was the sum total of our experience Id award 5 stars. Unfortunately there were some drawbacks to this place that will cause us to think twice before returning.We werent keen on the ipad ordering system. Ordered to go tonight. When I got home, they got my order wrong. When I called them about it they asked me to hold then hung up on me. I called back, Roy was rude and told me I would have to drive back 30 minutes to pick up the right order or just get it next time. I told himI won’t be back and just want a refund on the wrong order. He tells me he can only refund in cash and I had to drive there to pick up the refund. He will not charge back on my credit card. During these COVID time, not being able to refund when you give your customer the wrong order is unacceptable! He also tells me there is no owner or manager around until Friday. Amazing sushi! Hamachi nigiri was fresh, the dancing unagi roll was delicious and the pear martini was everything I hoped it would be! The grilling meats were expensive in my opinion.Only negative feedback is that the food came out randomly and took a long time and they even forgot to bring out the rice until after the meal was finished.Excited to come back.
