Just went for the first time. Got tonkotsu ramen with corn added. Chashu had a great grilled/charred flavor. Noodles were a little undercooked for my taste, but I’m no expert. Everything else (rest of ramen, free hot tea, service) was great!!

Each table has its tablet to order from so not much service is needed. The black garlic ramen broth was rich and creamy without being too salty. The soft boiled egg was prepped right and not cold like many other restaurants. The noodle wasnt the best and lack texture but overall the ramen was good. Parking is plenty

One of our favorite neighborhood ramen houses - was drawn here by the curry ramen but returned for the extensive menu (appetizers, donburi)and quality food. Service is quick and the place gets packed quickly. Part of a complex with a Safeway and Wing Stop.

New favorite ramen place in the peninsula! I love the easy-to-use tablets at the tables for ordering. Chashu pork in the ramen was notably delicious: juicy, fat slices with a pork to fat ratio similar to pork belly. Favorites were miso ramen, ika geso (fried squid legs), and chicken katsu. The miso ramen has a surprisingly rich and tasty broth that tastes almost like tonkatsu broth. So glad we found this spot!!!

Cute little ramen place with a good selection of flavours. We got the black garlic ramen and the curry ramen with katsu on the side. Both tasted great but I thought the black garlic one was too greasy for me. Will come back and try some other ones. Portions are good and prices are reasonable.

I was craving ramen for a bit. Google brought me here and I’m so glad it did. I dined in and was greeted very friendly. I ordered the miso ramen ($14ish). It was a pretty heavy portion and with so much flavor. I loved it. The ramen itself wasn’t too runny or thick…perfect consistency. The pork belly was done so well, it easily came off my chopsticks. I would come back and try another dish just to try another dish. Great service!**NOTE: make sure you write down the EXACT total of your ENTIRE check. They added just total as a tip and doubled my entire total.**

I am not a big fan of ramen. This new restaurant poped up. I thought I can give it a chance. The place is not very big. When we went in, the manager greeted us with smile. He showed us how to use its tablet to order. Selections are not a lot. I ordered light salt version which tasted better. The pork was thin and dry. Volume was not big. Guys will get hungry if you only order ramen. Service was fast and it is easy to order.

I just love this place. This is the best restaurant to eat ramen. My favorites are the Tonkatsu, Shoyu and Black Garlic Ramen. You can order at the tablet on your table and the staff are very attentive. The service is good and they cook the ramen fast. Wish stay open throughout the day instead of closing at 2 pm and reopening again at 5 pm but I would definitely recommend this place.

I found this place on yelp and decided to come here. Its located in an outdoor shopping center, so there was plenty of parking. Inside is pretty small, but service is really fast. We were seated in about 15 minutes. We ordered everything through the iPad, including water.We ordered the chicken katsu, tonkotsu ramen, chasu don, edamame, and miso ramen. The edamame and chicken katsu came quickly. The chicken katsu was amazing. It was breaded and fried lightly. It wasnt oily and was a great appetizer. The chasu don tasted great; the sauce went really well with the rice. The ramen came last and tasted great. The noodles were cooked perfectly. We would definitely come back again.

I ordered Tonkotsu Ramen. It was delicious. Make sure to add a little bit of spice to it since the soup itself tastes quite heavy. Dining-in is available for parties of 1-4 people. Parking lot has plenty of space in the evening.

This place is absolutely amazing for ramen in san mateo area, no wonder its always crowded for lunch. I have tried 3 of their ramen and all of them were amazing. I liked the curry flavored the most. Their shrimp starters are also pretty good. Spice level medium was perfect for me.

Amazing food at an amazing price point. The service at this new restaurant was completely above and beyond. To start, the tablet service to order food was very seamless; when prompted, the waiter would immediately be there to address any concern, to which there were none. Once the order was made on the tablet, the food arrived with haste. The ramen was especially stunning, although I do like my eggs a little on the runnier side. The broth was so smooth, not to salty and had all the distinct flavor profiles of a house broth. The pork was very tender to my surprise, and the noodles had that insatiable bite that had me coming at it again and again, until the bowl was empty. The rice bowl was very good as well, the price point of it is the main attraction there. One small concern with the usage of the tablet system is how it impedes on the dining experience, especially because the space is already so small in terms of square footage, having the tablet mounted over the table impedes upon the dining experience, especially when it is a on a table for a party of two. But in hindsight, the arm of the tablet can easily be adjusted so I don’t think it is a concern at all. I think this restaurant really takes an interesting twist on instead of using technology to make eating alone easier, it chooses to make the social aspect of eating easier, as you no longer have waiters breathing down your neck, but when they are required for a quick refill of tea, they are right there (without much ado). This place got off on the right foot and it contributes a much needed unique flair to the newly renovated Woodlake Shopping Centre. I highly encourage anyone, whether youre on a budget, or frequent the likes of Espetus to try this place, you will not regret it! 5/5

They need to get their act together. If i order food to go, utensils at the very least should automatically be in the bag with my food. I tipped them generously and went back to my hotel room to find out the hard way. I regret tipping them at all. Food is good but no common sense.

Been here a few times now and Im hooked. The Black Garlic Ramen is to die for. The noodles are great, the broth is delicious and the pork is so tender it falls apart easily. The service is quick even when its busy. Love ordering on the tablet screens. Parking is fairly easy as its in a shopping center.

I came here on a Wednesday night at 8pm and there was no wait! There were about 6people total in the restaurant which was awesome because when I had previously tried to find here the wait was over 45minutes.Well I think the ramen is worth the wait but Im glad I came on a slow night. The noodles are fresh and cheesy. The broth is also surprisingly spicy and delicious. I got the medium spicy and I thought it was perfect. The black garlic was also great! We ordered some appetizers and they came out quickly. Service was friendly but not always attentive. You order on an ipad but we still had things that didnt come. that was my only complaint. I would go back again because the ramen is good!

Very pleasantly surprised at how tasty the ramen is here! This is coming from someone whos eaten over a dozen in two visits all over Japan! This is also affirmed by my native Japanese friend. The ship is supposed to be a more plain flavor and more clear broth which it was. But it was the black garlic flavor bowl that was the star! Super flavorful and both were very hot quick I really appreciated. I would advise to let it sit a minute or two to allow the noodles to cook a bit more and cool. All ordering is through their tablet which is very easy and intuitive. Definitely a new favorite!

Found my favorite ramen place in the bay area. Ive been transitioning to a vegetarian diet, but I was craving some ramen soup because of the cold weather lately. I stumbled across their website and saw they have a veggie ramen soup. Awesome! It wasnt salty and it was seasoned wonderfully. My husband got the miso ramen and finished it, which he rarely does when we go out for soup. Clean establishment and friendly staff. I was caught off guard with their ordering system, which you put in your order on an iPad at your table. It took us awhile to navigate the iPad--not that it was difficult, but just unusual for us. It was very easy, and once our order was in, we got our soups very quickly. Great place! Thanks for the wonderful ramen. Well definitely be back again.

The ramen was just alright, the broth was lacking flavor. Plenty of better places in San Mateo. While we were there, a couple decided that it was a good idea to change their kids diaper on 2 chairs and threw the diaper on the ground... they threw it away when they were done but not sure how sanitary it is. I asked the waiter to wipe it down with some surface wipes and he was super nice and apologetic about it. Might not be coming back unfortunately.

You even ask for your check with it.As for the ramen, their signature dish is the black garlic pork ramen. Went here last summer in hopes of a sweet ramen spot and boy did they deliver. The ramen was on point, but what really made the experience memorable was their ordering system that lets them know what you want, and how you want it in real time (no need waiting around trying to get a waiters attention for a refill of water!). Server spilled water on our table when handing out water and didnt return to mop it up. Also didnt try to understand that one order was missing some ingredients. The ramen here is near addictive, love the eggs, onions, and pork belly. Tried niku, curry, and black garlic (easily personal favorite). The gyoza were some of the best around and the curry croquettes fresh and tasty. The system for ordering and calling servers makes the food as personal as you could want and the servers very responsive.Have recommended (and was told it was the best soup theyve eaten thus far) and will continue to do so, especially as it gets colder outside.Definitely a top choice in the area.
