Had a fantastic lunch at Tre Monti in Los Altos. Nice outdoor seating. Lunch was great. Salmon Panini and Pasta Bolognese in the photos. Service was outstanding. A little on the pricey side but reflected in the food quality.

Found the place very expensive! A bottle of wine costed 3 times what is costs in Safeway. The food is very expensive and not worth $25 entree. The cheese cake was okay. Overall found very expensive and would not recommend anyone

By far the best Italian restaurant in Los Altos, since my husband and I moved from NYC to the area. We also had the burrata with prosciutto and candied walnuts, sooo good. Didn’t take a pic because we just dived in. Will go back and try their pizza next time.

Weve gone here several times. Its a delightful, delicious, authentic Italian restaurant. The pizza is perfection. I really enjoy the stuffed squash blossoms. Its a friendly, lovely place, with excellent food.

Enjoyed the vegetarian panini. The best I have ever had. Freshly toasted flat bread and perfectly grilled veggies. Mildly spiced so you get to enjoy the true flavors. The bread they serve is really fresh, warm and so airy. And super attentive service! Will be back for sure

We ordered from Tre Monti’s catering menu for a large party. They were very responsive and on time with the food delivery. We had an assortment of foods. All very delicious and fresh with quality ingredients. Everyone enjoyed it. My favorite was the salmon with capers. We will use them again!

Had dinner last night ( sitting outside on a lovely evening) at Tre Monti.What a fantastic dining experience, and the hospitality shown by the owner and the chef were wonderful. This place should be packed every night!We had two great appetizers, one was a grilled octopus dish with arugula and the other was grilled artichoke hearts prepared expertly. We also had a pizza special that was squash blossoms over asparagus cream with nduja.(see photo) Because the food was so great and we were having such a good time we also had a pasta course which was a shell shaped pasta cooked perfectly a tad of crunch but soft enough and delicious. The owner also showed us his incredible pasta machine, very impressive. Normally I wouldnt post this glowing of a review, because I (selfishly) would still like to get into this place whenever I want! but if you REALLY like food, and can tell the difference or want to learn the difference between great food and just meh food, you should go to Tre Monti

As a person who is very picky when tying food called “italian” in US, I can admit that place has a strong taste of cuisine which is so rare for the bay area. Totally worth visiting if you prefer non americanized italian dishes

We tried the place on a bust Friday night. They didnt have a table but there was room at the bar. The service is really slow but kind of expected, Small staff with a lot of customers. Food was ok but nothing to write about. We got bison pasta and rack of lamb. We also tried the goat cheese salad. They have a very good italian wine selection. Not sure if we will try it again but it was an ok experience.

Tre Monti is a what an Italian food experience should be. The dishes have all the familiar names, but bursting with flavors that are uncommon and delicious. The presentation of the food is beautiful.Try the buratta, eggplant parmagina, the seafood risotto to get a full experience of the complex flavors. Definitely devour the warm bread and olive dip - it is wonderful.The two gnocchi dishs we ordered were good, as were the two pizzas for the kids.Please know that the service is slow, and you have to try to get attention of the staff to get water or place the order. Go in prepared, but definitely go to Tre Monti.

Amazing is an understatement. The servers were extremely kind and fast. The food was beyond this universe. We tried the prawns, filet mignon, pastas, pizza, salad, and bread. This place by far had the best filet mignon ive ever had. The mushroom cream sauce was flavorful and perfectly complimented the meat and asparagus. The meat was extremely soft and just melted after every bite. A newborn could chew through their perfectly cooked meat. It was just phenomenal. The quality of the food left me speechless. The pizza also had an amazing crust that took on its own exquisite, delicate flavor. Also, the bread. Superb. It was a nice, fresh taste that spoke to their foods superior and fine quality. Overall, I was extremely amazed with this place and would defenitely go back any day.

Not sure what it would be like for a busy dinner, but service for lunch was excellent. The homemade pasta was delicious and we loved the atmosphere. Great spot. Just a 4 star instead of 5 because my Carbonara had way too much sauce. But it was really great overall and we will return.

The whole staff is kind, warm and inviting. Relaxed atmosphere with good food and delicious wine. The homemade pasta is great, and cooked perfectly. The cheesecake is nothing but phenomenal. Absolutely wonderful experience. Can’t wait to go back.

Wow! We - a party of seven, including two children - were graciously accommodated on a moments notice. The service was wonderfully done by a friendly staff, and we felt very pampered by the warm and personal service. The food options all sounded delicious and we had a good time debating our entree choices. The best part of dining with family is that we got to sample everyones choice and, honestly, they were all unbelievably good. Im still thinking about the spaghetti with clams - it was delicious! The bread was a hit with the adults as well as the children. The desserts put the perfect finishing touch on the entire meal. The entire experience made for a memorable occasion. Thank you!

I went here because the reviews were good. At first I sat outside, but it was freezing cold, so then I opted to go back inside. It was still cold inside. For some reason they leave the door open, so its pretty cold inside. I would definitely recommend to bring a jacket. I was expecting just an average Italian restaurant maybe a little better, but I found a diamond in the rough. When I got there a man who looks like an owner was at my service from the time I arrived till the time I left. Within two minutes my drinks were on the table and I had warm tasty bread with some kind of olive oil mixed with some sort of vegetable I guess. I didnt really understand what he was saying was in the olive oil because his Italian accent was so thick and authentic. I enjoyed that he spoke some Italian to me here and there, because it made the effect of the Italian restaurant come alive. I asked him what was the best thing on the menu. Im from out of town and I dont really know what to order when I go to restaurants. He suggested some sort of pasta with pork shoulder. I agreed, thinking that it might be pretty good. I was wrong. It was probably one of the best Italian dishes Ive ever had. Im 52 years old and have traveled the world. And I can still say quite honestly that it was one of the best meals Ive had. Im only in town for a week and I plan to eat there at least three more times before I go. Im going to have the same meal that I ate. So overall the food was amazing and the service was excellent. The food and the service made me feel happy.

So far, this Italian restaurant has been consistently good. The ingredients are FRESH and totally authentic. Best pizza Ive had in the entire Bay Area, and a really good wine selection. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere cozy.

Its my go-to Italian restaurant. The wine selection is good enough for me (Im not much of a wine person). The salads are great. Some other dishes are a little over-priced given the quality or portion-size. One of them is the gnocchi. It was a huge disappointment.

I had Carbonara Di Mare and was so so so dissatisfied. Texture was mushy, and was a madeup dish. I had 2 bites and left it. My friends tried it and had the same reaction. Pasta noodles was like soup noodles. Owner and chef told us that since they use fresh pasta, texture is soft, but the taste was off. It was a long time since I had such a horrible food at a restaurant for a high price tag of 24+ dollars.They asked if They can cook me something else but I declined cause I also was disappointed with Risotto Di Mare that was purple color which is odd. Risotto texture and rice was too off.Only good dish we had was pistachio crusted Lamb Chops which tasted good.I wont recommend if you look for real Italian restaurant. I call this a horrible fusion but expected the menu mentioning that.

I had the chance to enjoy the food during an catered event. I relished the food to maximum and the service was wonderful. Beet and pear salad, ravioli with homemade tomato sauce, and the octopus salad were my favorites to enjoy throughout the evening. What a nice local treat! My husband and I arrived to find no tables available on Saturday eve and decided to dine at the bar. Im so glad we did! The Buffalo mozzarella appetizer was delicious. We enjoyed a nice glass of wine and shared a kale salad and a stuffed chicken breast main, which they split into separate plates for us. The service was impeccable and the food absolutely delicious. Definitely our new go to place. ☺️

I work nearby this place and I have had a few clients tell me how great this place is. So I asked my wife out on a date and we ended up here. As soon as we stepped in customer service was amazing. One of the owners was manning the lobby and sat us down quick. Once we ordered, we had our food pretty quickly. There is another owner who is one of their chefs and he is by far one of the best chefs Ive ever had the pleasure of tasting their food. Im not the biggest fan of pasta or Italian but I fell in love with what was made and my wife enjoyed her food just as much and was telling me that she wants to come here every day for breakfast lunch and dinner and I do not blame her. We will definitely be coming back for more dates here.

My experience was really dissatisfied. I was craving for risotto, checked reviews in advanced . But it appears that risotto has nothing to do with authentic Italian dish, I would categorised that plate as overcooked mixed of rice, fish and frozen octopus. I even asked my friends to try it as I was so surprised of poor quality, We ordered the carbonara di mare and Angelo with potatoes as well . Carbonara has poor quality as well . So 2 people at our table did not have dinner, I definitely won’t recommend risotto or pasta . Agnello was good enough. The management saw that we were unsatisfied and did not eat any of our dishes and did not take any actions. Really disappointed in that place . Money wasted.

Risotto should be cooked with Arborio rice from the Po Valley. The dish we got used some other type of rice, and the result is more like a watery porridge than a true risotto. Give this dish to any true Italian and tell them its risotto, the reaction will be funny.

My infant daughter, wife and I tried getting a table at this place. The restaurant was completely empty when we walked in. We stood around for several minutes before a staff acknowledged us and asked what we wanted. When I asked for a table I was asked if I didn’t just want to use the restroom. After clarifying again that we wanted a table, I was told they might have a table but would have to leave before 6pm if I wanted to eat there. I am Hispanic and my wife is Asian. Not sure why I was treated like this but we decided to walk away as the staff’s body language and mannerisms were clearly telling us we were not welcomed. Hope no one else has to experience this sort of disrespect.

I can’t recall the last time I had such an enjoyable and quality dining experience in Los Altos - or anywhere in the South Bay. Congratulations to the chef, owners, management and staff on this gem of an Italian restaurant. Each dish was deliciously authentic and beautifully presented. This is the best pasta I have had in CA. I have really missed GOOD Italian food since moving away from the NE US. Finally pasta done right! Fresh and not overcooked. The Pappardelle Toscane Bisonte e Robiola was excellent (House-made egg pappardelle, white bison ragu,Robiola cheese fondue, porcini mushrooms).My wife got the TURBANTE DI SPIGOLA:Rolled Mediterranean sea bass stuffed with breadedzucchini and lemon zest on a pine nuts, spinach andzucchini mash sauce.She thoroughly enjoyed it. The presentation was different and interesting, not what she expected.The bread was excellent, as was the dipping sauce. To call if dinner we had the Tiramisu, of course. The cream was excellent and the chocolate selected was very good. I prefer a bit more rum flavor to my Tiramisu, but it was very good.The wine selection is long, I wont pretend to know if it is all good. We had the Malbec, since we know it is a style that we appreciate.We will definitely be going back. They change to another menu and my wife is eager to try the lasagna and compare it the lasagna she had in Bologna.Thanks for an excellent meal.

Varying menu of several dishes. I find them to be unusual and tasty, far above what one would expect in a small Italian restaurant. Very comfortable atmosphere plus some outside seating. Attentive service. This is my go-to place when I want something nice and casual.

We came here within a week of their opening. We had guests from out of town and shared a delicious meal. 4 of us shared pizza and the rest had pasta or meat dishes. So amazing. We also had wine and dessert. The proprietors and chef are from Italy - Calabria to be precise. I enjoyed the opportunity to speak with them in Italian. Così buono! Amazingly authentic! We visit Tuscany annually and have been looking for a local restaurant that stays true to classic Italian pasta. This is as good as it gets. The pasta reminds me of ristorante giglio in Lucca! We had the pleasure of speaking with the owner and Chef Mattia. Mattias passion is so obvious. He is a native of Calabria just like two other restauranteurs who happen to run another amazing italian joint. He imports so many of his ingredients from the old country and that is why from the first bite to the last you are transported across the world. This cuisine is truly Italian cuisine not American Italian but ITALIAN! A true gem of downtown los altos.
