If I can choose zero* that would be much better. They don’t deserve even one star. On 10/22/23 I went there in the morning and ordered 5 of Sieu Mai, I ate one my brother ate one too and the meat is smell bad and taste bad so I took it bad to the restaurant and reported to the server who’s taking my order in the morning and then he happen to be the owner (Tony)I asked him nicely, if I can maybe get something else because it is bad meats and he said I kept it too long that why the meat smell bad and I said I just got it. I told him he can’t serve the bad meats and he got mad and he start yelling at me and my sister he said get out of my restaurant and I’m not gonna do anything about it, so I asked him to smell it but he say I don’t need too and he keep yelling at us to get out, he is not going to do nothing about it. I got sick all night until 5:00 Am and thank god 🙏I don’t have to go to the emergency room, I can’t believe he is the owner and also the rudest one. So I’m letting everyone know if you ever going to eat at Trieu Chau Restaurant, 4401/4403 W.1st Street Santa Ana, please & please be aware of their meats and also this place are so dirty inside and out!!

There was a line out the door when we arrived. It moves pretty fast, we waited about 3-4mins to get seated. The seats were a bit dirty with some residue of soup or sauce from previous patrons. The menu has lots of pictures. The soup is a bit too sweet for my taste personally. But, I still enjoyed all the items we ordered. The bean sprout and lime that came with our order were really fresh as it was really white and clean while the lime was not dried up. Parking wasnt too bad to find but the number of spots are limited. The service was friendly and fast.

No reservations, no signup lists, first come first served. Absolutely delicious Vietnamese/Chinese food. Eat the Crispy fried donuts by dipping them in your soup broth. One of us ordered the duck noodle soup and a couple of us ordered the #29 combination beef. I liked the small egg noodle best but my friends liked the big. You can get your noodles dry with the broth on the side or have it all already mixed together. We also ordered the Ox tail that just fell off the bone. The fried rice was delicious and nice to have as a side if you’re really hungry. Very filling, inexpensive, and fast service.

Restaurant serving a blend of Chinese x Cambodian x Vietnamese, Asian fusion cuisine most known for their noodle soups. Kind of like pho, but the flavors and protein choices are completely different. You can pick your choice of noodles and whether you want to eat dry, soup on side, or with soup. They have a big menu with pictures of the dishes. My family has been coming here for over 30 yrs. Parking sucks (there is street parking on the neighborhood street behind the restaurant if the lot is full), there is a line most mornings/lunch, and the interior of the restaurant could be cleaner - has always been that way. You only come here for the food. That said, over the last few years, service has gotten better and the restaurant has gotten cleaner, although portions have gotten smaller and prices have increased 😔Our favorites are the seafood noodle soup, house special noodle soup, and seafood chow fun with gravy. Weve strayed from our favorites before but have regretted it and just stick to our usual dishes now.Tip! They serve doughnut fritters that are yummy esp if you dip them in your soup but they are usually sold out by 9-10am.Note! Their dishes are heavily flavored with fish sauce which some may not care for. If thats the case, try out their fried rice!

Taste are pretty average compared to our best place in San Jose. Portions very generous. Messed up our order.

If there is ever a place I can safely say is my number one restaurant in all of the US, it would have to be this place, Trieu Chau. Yes, I am highly biased as this is the place my parents would take us to growing up as kids and still continue to today. That childhood nostalgia and pure foodgasmic joy experience from each and every meal here is simply priceless.Their noodle soup, is something I have not tasted anywhere else. Theirs is the best. My usual go to is either the #19 - Chao Chow or the #21 - Chao Chow with duck. Order some of their #05 - fried dough also to dip in your noodle soup and you will quickly find your place in a food heaven of flavors. Be warned, sometimes the fried dough sells out so come early. Today we also ordered the #01 - fried crab and shrimp ball, not my favorite, but a lot of my family craves this dish with a passion, and the one that they make here is superb. Another favorite here (I dont know which number) is their chow fun type stir fry dish with mix of beef and seafood (similar to pad see ew dish if you are familiar with the Thai variant). There was about a 20 minute wait for our party of 4 to get a table on this Sunday morning around 10am. Service is always impeccable and efficient. My noodles quickly were absorbing all my soup and pretty soon I could not see much soup left. Asked the wait staff if I could get a small bowl of more soup stock and we quickly got that right away. Top notch place, with our 30+ years of loyalty of dining here year over year, we will continue to come here for many more years come. Try for yourself, you will not be disappointed.P.S. Google has this categorized as Vietnamese, but I feel it is more closer to a Cambodian, Chinese, Vietnamese Restaurant.

Trieu Chau is a must-try if youre looking for a unique blend of Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Chinese cuisine. The restaurant offers an extensive menu of delicious dishes that showcase the best of southeast Asian flavors. If youre visiting for lunch, be prepared to wait in line as the restaurant tends to get busy during peak hours. However, by late afternoon, the lunch rush dies down and you can easily find a seat. The service here is speedy and efficient, with servers taking your order within minutes of seating. Your order will be ready in just 2-3 minutes. One of my favorite dishes to order is the Satay beef with egg noodles, served with cooked bean sprouts. I always add extra spice with satay sauce, jalapeños, and peanuts for a flavorful and satisfying meal. The broth is hearty and the peanuts add a nice crunch to the dish. The restaurants interior is a fusion of traditional Chinese lanterns, artwork, and small Buddha statues, with touches of anime posters throughout. Its a cozy and comfortable setting that makes you feel right at home.Be sure to keep in mind that the restaurant only accepts credit card payments for orders over $15. Once youre done with your meal, take your receipt over to the cashier area to pay.As a Chinese Vietnamese American, Trieu Chau is always a comforting place for me. The food, ambiance, and flavors remind me of home and bring back fond memories of enjoying meals with my mother. Now, its a place where I can create new memories with loved ones.

Today October 17, 2023, we ordered and paid online (the store had already charged our credit card). After that, we called the store to confirm our order, but nobody answered the phone. So, we drove to the store for pickup (about 7 miles away). When we arrived, we asked the cashier about our order. She handed a paper to a waiter who went inside. Then, the waiter came back out and said, Theres nothing. The cashier returned our money without any explanation or apology. A place with such service should not be visited again. Their service and attitude only made us more frustrated, even though we paid for our order and didnt ask for a favor! Very bad service!!!

What a let down. We had noodles at this place like 20 years ago and it was one of the best authentic Trieu Chau noodles at that time. Recently, we attempted to try the restaurant again multiple times but not until yesterday since it was always crowded with long line of people waiting. They WERE SO busy and they had 2 lines, one for dine in and one for order Togo. I overheard (and confirmed later) that people couldnt order over the phone since they are so busy. While waiting to order our food, the phone rang non stop and no one was available to pick up. The place was quite clean and bright. The food came out really fast. The food quality on the other hand was not as expected. The duck is pretty salty and chewy but the chicken is tasteless and so soft in a bad way. The shrimp is like melting butter and the shrimp meat felt off from the shell just by picking up by chopstick. All of my shrimps and not just one or two. Same with another bowl of noodles. The wonton was better and but its not good enough to save the day. We had better noodles from other non noodle specialty restaurants also in Little Saigon. The price is quite decent however. This place is handicap friendly at the entrance but one you are inside, they would need to move chairs around abit to make way for wheelchair access. Small parking lot but plenty of street parkings.

Would have a 5 stars easily if hygienically improved. The food is very authentic and it is one of my favorite whenever I am around. If you want something very trieu chau style like their signature dried noodle with mixed meats, this is the place. Bear with the wait as it is always packed. Close early at around 5pm. Best time is early in the morning from 6:30 when the broth is fresh and light.
