For the appetizers, we ordered Charred Cauliflower. I liked the idea of chopped dates and pistachio with the cauliflower. Though they both were in a very small quantity but elevated the texture and taste of the dish.For the main course, we ordered - Spaghetti Squash Casserole and Garden Pesto Pizza. I am not a big squash spaghetti fan, still, I like this dish. I wouldnt be shy about trying this dish another time. The garden pesto pizza was also good.The con is that the service was very slow. There were only a handful of people when we were there, yet they took 30 mins to bring our food. Also, they brought all the dishes together. By the time we finished one dish, the other two were cold. That was a big turn-off.Overall, I have a bitter-sweet feeling about this restaurant.

We ordered take out. I ordered the ancient grains bowl. I really enjoyed it. We also tried the vegan double cheeseburger. It was good, would have liked it better with more sauce. Had to add vegan ketchup at home. Oh also had the seasonal veggies. We liked them.The service was amazing, waitress was great. Very nice restaurant, in and outside dining.

Fantastic options to choose from. Enjoyed my meal! I recommend the Teriyaki Quinoa Bowl, I added on tofu which tasted great. I also had a wonderful pink lemonade. I highly recommend.I also had a slice of pizza and it was really tasty! Everyone really enjoyed their foods! They even have gluten free pizza is yummy!

I got the pesto pasta and I loved it. I took the photo almost at the end of my meal. It was a good size meal. They also offer some very good non-alcoholic (and alcoholic) drinks which we very much enjoyed.Edit: we went back with a group of friends and I had another great experience. I added two more photos.

I have been there twice and love the place. The location is right next to the mall, and they always have a table available. Food is fresh. I love their burrata appetizer/salad. Pizza is delicious. Prices are reasonable. Would recommend the place.

This place is partially located at the mall, definitely kids friendly, wheelchair ♿️ accessibility, and washroom available. You may not get street parking, however theres a parking structure close by. Food is a bit overpriced, in my opinion, its average!

A great place to eat delicious food that is actually good for you! I had the vegan mushroom and onion pizza on a gf crust with house made ricotta that was incredible. There was no sacrificing on flavors. It was delicious! They offer an impressive menu that includes something for everyone in your party, even for those people who ask, “how do you get your protein?” They were also offering a list of pink drinks to support the Barbie fans!

First time visiting in Santa Monica and a friend recommended this spot for dinner: it definitely didn’t disappoint. The restaurant is spacious and nice, our server was very helpful and kind. The food was clean and had lots of flavour. A little spicy for my own taste but gobbled a lot of water! We started with tuna crudo which was very good and for mains my hubby got the poke bowl and I got one of their bowls and added steak on top. All great fresh and tasty!

The food is great here, the service is very attentive. One advise you should always add some protein to your bowl, otherwise the portion will be very stingy, as you can see in my pictures. 3 of us had the teriyaki bowl, one with tofu and one with chicken, these portions were pretty good, mine not that much. Nice experience having dinner here. The food was served hot and the service was good, but it took more than 20 minutes to serve dessert. Sea Bass dish was delicious as was the pizza, though it was smaller than expected! The burger wasn’t a good one because it was dry, needed some sauce and it lacked flavor.

The pizza margarita was good, really thin, maybe it was that thin that the pizza was falling apart because the dough could not resist the sauce and cheese, the drinks were great but the problem was the Ramen, 20 dollars for 4 pieces of chicken, one egg, a little bit of cilantro and like 4 pieces of jalapeños, the flavor was flavorless, insipid, the ramen noodles did not helped, they are rice noodles, overcooked rice noodle, it didnt tasted like a ramen it was more like a pho, but if I knew it was like a pho I wouldnt order it, because I was craving a ramen that day, it wasnt bad but I was expecting way more, probably I did not order the right dish for me.The drinks were really good, I have to admit it.Service is good, my server was really consistent and kind with us.

We ordered Charred Cauliflower, Organic Tuscan Kale Salad and a Vegan Double Cheeseburger.Charred Cauliflower - It was decent. Would rate 3/5Organic Tuscan Kale Salad- 4/5. It was yum. I chose to eat salad over burger and I didnt regret my decision.Vegan Double Cheeseburger -4/5 It was scrumptious. It was served with side of sweet potato hash.We went on a weekend hence it was little crowded but got the table without reservation.Last but not least, their super friendly staff. I had an excellent experience here on a Monday night. They have great options for all sorts of diets, including amazing vegan options. The corn soup was delicious and the spinach and mushroom pizza was very tasty. The vegan cheese on the pizza was great as well, it did not over power the pizza at all as vegan cheese can do at times. I was a little let down by the vegan strawberry cheesecake, however I have yet to find a great vegan cheesecake anywhere else either. I will be back!!

This is the second time Ive eaten here and have enjoyed my experience. The restuarant is cozy, decorated like a hip cafe; with an open kitchen (which I always love). The staff is friendly and the atmosphere pleasant. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed different bowls.They were tasty, though I have two comments. First it could have used a bit more seasoning (but I do enjoy my food more heavily flavored); and second, I was expecting the meat to be seared and then sliced but it appeared as if it was presliced and then cooked.I make this comment because we had both asked our steak to be cooked med-rare; and had we been explained that the meat is not cooked that way, we would have ordered slightly differently.Still had a good time; great location while out shopping in Santa Monica. Id go again to try something else.

I just love this place so much. If you are ever in the Santa Monica area please stop by True Food Kitchen. The food is amazing, clean and fresh. You taste the freshness in every bite. The customer service is great and every team member has a great attitude and love to be of service. They also make great recommendations if you are a little indecisive on what to get. Steve is one of the mangers at True, he is very personable and makes sure his customers get a great dine-in experience at True Food Kitchen. I highly recommend this place. Its healthy food with flavor, time and effort! You wont regret it I been there three times in a row because its that delicious.

Food is usually pretty good here. I’ve held off reviewing this location for the past 3 visits. And now I feel that I need to write. The service is the worse quality of any True Food location I’ve ever been to. Even with less than 20 tables occupied, the wait for even water is absurd. Not to mention the lack of experience in the servers and not checking with their customers and saying less than 15 words your entire interaction…. I expect better from a place with such good reputations. Do better.

Crawled in here after an 11 hour flight like some sort of tired goblin and was fully rejuvenated by delicious food and great service. The vegan food here is so flavourful and feels genuinely nourishing. Cocktails are excellent too. Would potentially take half a point off for lighting - I feel like dimmer lights in the evening would create a nicer vibe.

True food is LIFE! Speaking as someone who deals with gluten/diary allergies, this place makes you feel confident in knowing what you can have on the menu. I loved the seasonal Korean sweet potatoes noodles and the cauliflower starter. I also helped myself to various cocktails with floral tones that didn’t disappoint. We did run into an issue with the turkey burger (it was over cooked😬) BUT our waiter took it immediately off of our tab and gave our burger-less friend a beer on the house for his wait. Great service and amazing food.

This was our favourite place to eat while we were in Santa Monica. We stayed at the Shore Hotel which is just across the street from this place. As a warning this place gets really busy later in the evening. But the restaurant is large enough to not feel cramped. The service was amazing and the the staff were friendly. Lots of interesting selections on the menu. The food was seasoned and flavoured perfectly. This place would make it very easy to be vegan. I did not miss meat at all. Over the course of the week we tried several different dishes and all of them were delicious. Highly recommend you try this place out, you will not be disappointed.

It was a great location for me and my sisters to meet a relative halfway for lunch who I haven’t seen for some time. So I am forced to give 1 star across the board because we didnt even get to eat there. My family had just returned from the beach,everyone was hungry in particular my vegan daughter who was thrilled to see a place she had heard of and wanted to try. We dont know if reservations are required but the place was empty. We waited politely half expecting someone to say they werent serving at that time(4:30). Nope no one said anything. One server was smiling, laughing, seemed to be heading our way, well her bright gree hair turned towards the bar with out a glance our way. There were honestly more staff at the bar than customers at tables so a party of 4 adults would seem welcome.I decided to count to 10, someone did start to head our way with menus however a German sounding man swooped in and drifting in front of the server, I will assume he believed that we were being taken care of. The server did not even try and say oh I am sorry, I will be right with you I was helping these guests.We left, had a great lunch elsewhere. We are from the Bay Area, tons of food, to choose from never in my life have I been so blatantly ignored. If this is their business model good luck to them my $$$ travels well.

Such an amazing restaurant. Large inside, lots of natural light and space. There was a wait when we came but there was additional bar tables on the side where you could get drinks and start your orders before actually being seated which was pretty amazing to keep everyone occupied and cared for. We were seated on the patio on the side of the building overlooking the street which was perfect. Absolutely amazing food, great drinks. The service was pretty good but seemed a bit disorganized, didnt really affect our experience. Will definitely come back!

Large capacity restaurant filled with stylish, upscale diners many chattering in diverse languages. Very friendly and cordial staff. So much of the dining experience depends on your Server; Shelina was attentive and charming. Great and fashionable food choices including Vegan, Vegetarian and Carnivore choices. I had the chopped greens salad and Chilean Sea-bass. As a veggie oriented eatery, variety was presented widely; the chopped green salad was a varietal feast in which the 4-types of greens were in constant play with the nuts and cranberries, which in turn contrasted with the neutralizing bits of cheese, against which the thinly sliced apples’ crunched fruitiness cleared the palette for MORE! The Chilean Sea Bass was the main course; but it was as much the compliment to the large servings of veggies and grains, all of which were cloaked in a wonderfully taste clarifying sauce. The tasty sauce’s nearly undetectable acidity gave it lightness. Everything was so delightful that Ive forgiven that the Sea Bass was otherwise unforgivably OVERCOOKED. On the other hand, all of the cooked veggies were done perfectly. The menu should list this as Veggies with Sea Bass. Still deserving of 5/STARS.

Health focused restaurant in the Santa Monica Mall. I’ve been to the Scottsdale location as well, and I like the consistency of quality. Our office usually comes here whenever we have a new hire welcome lunch as they take reservations online and can accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions (I.e vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc). It’s on par with Santa Monica prices - you can think of it as the restaurant version of Flower Child (which I believe is the same owner). We usually come here around noon on weekdays and while there are other people, we don’t have to wait for long. The servers are friendly and there’s restrooms in the back.For the food, my favorite thing are the edamame dumplings. Definitely get those as an appetizer - they come with cilantro and in a broth but it’s such a good flavor and nice and warm. The pizzas are good but most people usually get the bowls. You can add tofu or meats to bowls for an additional cost - the most popular one for us is the ancient grains but I’m partial to the teriyaki quinoa. I tried the grass fed burger this time around and while it looks smaller than your average burger, it’s super filling. It came with sweet potato hash on the side which alright, or you could also get a salad. The sparkling antioxidant tea was good but I probably wouldn’t get it again. There’s cocktails as well and they have all the calories displayed on the menu. Service was friendly and accommodating.

One of the managers asked how our margherita pizza was and my husband answered that he would have liked more cheese and basil. All of a sudden we had a new pizza! I ate the Korean noodles bowl, a cake and a cranberry mimosa, that was my nightmare 😥 never in my life after travelling even in South Asia and Latin America I had been so sick of my stomach, a horror food poisoning. I am not sure if they put something in the cake after asking for a discount they were offering and being treat no so friendly by the woman manager for me asking for the discount (I say this because I received the cake after asking for the discount and pay. Anyway I will never forget this place for such as bad experience.

Ive been wanting to go here for years. Wasnt expecting their cocktails to be so good. The Dragon Fruit margarita is HIGHLY recommend. The staff was very nice and welcoming. The food definitely exceeded my expectations. Its nice to have a healthy restaurant where the food doesnt taste like dirt. All the food we had tasted fresh and very well prepared. Definitely will be back.

We were a party of 4.We ordered Gluten Free Pizza for the 2 people with severe gluten allergy, the waitress told us that they follow the gluten free protocol.I trusted them, however when I got home with the left overs and I tested with the tester for gluten, the result indicated Positive for Gluten .I called immediately to let them know.The manager took the call, all I wanted to hear was We will make sure this will not happen again, instead he said that the owner will call me.He never did.

We arrived late afternoon from a day at the Pier. We had blackberry limeade and strawberry lemonade, both delicious. The kids meals were a good portion size and both enjoyed the pizza, even the crust.My companion had a new dish on the menu, a squash casserole with spinach, I think? She adored it. I had the harissa and tahini roasted cauliflower and tortilla soup, which I ate together. It was also delicious.Our server was attentive without being cloying, no easy feat given that the indoor dining room was empty.Id definitely eat here again the next time Im in Santa Monica.

Service was sub-par in general, but I wouldnt give 1 star for the service as that varies from server to server.We waited forever to be asked what we wanted and were so hungry when we decided to order. 4 of us got burgers, all asked for medium rare and all came brown and dry as hockey pucks. It was the most disappointing 18 dollar burger ever.There are so many better restaurants in town.We asked for teriyaki sauce to make the burger palatable but they never brought it.Also happy hour is only at the bar, not at the table.

Very spacious and clean place. The food is quality and yummy. There are so many options to choose from on the menu for your taste. The service is great and very quick. The Korean bbq noodle bowl is delicious. Food comes hot and fresh with out sitting around under the heat lamp. The manager is on it and does a great job making people get what they need. The drinks are excellent. I would return and would highly recommend trying this place out.
