My ultimate favorite Ramen spot in all of LA! My friends and I have visited this eatery countless times and each time we can’t get over how delicious and rich in flavor the food is. Portions are amazing and the staff is very kind and attentive. Highly recommend this place for the quality of food!

The service, the atmosphere, everything about this place is five stars. Easily the best ramen I have had in Los Angeles, I would say it is our best! The rich broth, thick noodles, excellent toppings makes this well worth it all. A small shop, but it’s always well worth the wait!

This is for the true ramen lover. I had a bowl of the Charsiu ramen with a generous portion of Charsiu. The broth is very rich in flavors, the noodles are delicious. A regular bowl was enough for me. It’s well worth the wait to dine here.

On one hand … the food was absolutely DELICIOUS. Best ramen I’ve ever had hands DOWN. The broth was warm and bursting with flavor and was made even better by the bowl of garlic and spice mixture that’s on the table. The noodles and egg add to it for sure, but the pork is the standout. It melts in your mouth, is perfectly fatty, perfectly salty, and a great piece of savory goodness in this amazing dish.But on the other hand … it is a bit expensive. I got a large of the Chashu Ramen and a water and I spent almost $30. I also waited an hour for the food between putting my name in and waiting at the table.Yes it was delicious, yes I would go back, but the price and the wait hold it back from a 5/5.

Always Best Japanese Ramen especially for tsukemen and dry-style in my mind. May encounter long waiting lane in busy hour like weekends night. Indoor seating might not be enough. The smell of Garlic is special as someone may not like it. However, the broth and noodles are always excellent 👍. The restaurant might be crowded on weekends nights as you might encounter long waiting time if there is a huge party. One other thing to mention is the parking. The nearby parking places are for the nearby merchant but not annex parking. One might have to find street parking or somewhere further away.

I usually go to the original restaurant, not the annex. Decided to try this one instead, one night. I don’t live in socal and Tsujita’s tsukemen is my favorite dish of all time, so I always try to make my way over to get some before I leave. I was EXTREMELY disappointed to learn that the tsukemen here IS NOT THE SAME as the original; basically the tsukemen at the annex location is their usual ramen broth with chopped back fat and noodles on the side, not their signature tsukemen broth. Their ramen is also different from the ramen from the original store too, just FYI. I got my order togo so found out too late. Just docking a star for that because it’s misleading thinking you can get the same items at both places, but other than that, the annex ramen and dry style ramen are pretty tasty on their own, and service is good.

Staff was super friendly and attentive. I asked what the difference was between this location and the Tsujita across the street. They said this location uses chicken and pork broth versus the other location which uses fish and pork broth. This place has more of a stronger, heavier flavor, but it’s delicious! The noodles were thick and it came with a lot. Bring an appetite!

Tsujuita LA Noodle is my new favorite spot for ramen in town. Their chashu ramen is absolutely amazing - the pork is tender and flavorful, and the broth is rich and satisfying. The noodles are always cooked perfectly, and the toppings are fresh and generous. Ive tried several of their other dishes as well, and everything has been consistently delicious. The service is always friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I cant recommend Tsujuita LA Noodle enough - its definitely worth a visit (or several)!

We waited for about 15 minutes for a table inside but we were able to look at a menu and order right away once we sat down. I got the ramen. It was really good! I wish there were more veggies in the ramen. I loved the way the pork melted in my mouth, I just wished the pork would have been cut up into smaller bites. Overall a really fun experience.

We were disappointed last night. The noodles are amazing, served cold in their own bowl. Pork was very tasty. However the broth we were served was not hot — barely lukewarm. The hot vegetables were the warmest thing in the bowl and dumping cold noodles in only made it colder. The flavors are strong which we were excited about but really didn’t work with cold broth, and it seemed like they just messed up. It took a while to get our order and when it came there was some confusion between kitchen staff and server (sat at counter and multiple orders came out at the same time, unclear whose was whose) and we didn’t want to raise then and attempt to rectify as it would have taken took long. Wanted to love this but it really didn’t work this time.

This place was strongly recommended by true foodie friends that have been to Japan and searched near and far for the best tsukemen noodles. This was actually my first time trying to tsukemen noodles and will definitely want to come back again! The broth for the dipping has amazing flavor that has a bit of tartness which is perfect to counteract the fattiness. Noodles’ texture was the perfect chewiness too. Super friendly service all around!

Why are there no bars in this area? It would make the wait for Tsujita’s incredible ramen less painful. Grabbed a couple of cans from Nijiya and that helped kill some time. I remember when this place first opened, which I think was around 10 years ago. For whatever reason, I ate at the other location instead. I was reminded their broths are not the same. Was stoked to be trying out a new spot.The spicy pork bun was good, only if you’re extra hungry though. No need to fill up the belly, since the ramen is why you’d come here. But the noodles are different—they’re thick, like udon noodles. The Dry Annex style was my fave out of the 3 dishes we had. The dry ingredients mixed together well with the texture of the noodles.We made a rookie mistake and didn’t add the garlic and only a tiny bit of the onikasu. We shall be back for more.

Favorite dish I’ve ever eaten. Periodt. I haven’t tried Tsukemen anywhere but here and I was told this is what it’s like in Japan. The broth is so flavorful, the pork so tender. Noodle portions are huge, ordered the tsukemen and it was really delicious. The dipping broth (pork & soy sauce) packed a umami punch, add in the spicy chili powder and chopped garlic for extra oomph. Ramen was fat and chewy, beansprouts added a nice crunch to the dish. Charsiew was porky but tender and had a good flavour.

The place is poppin, line out the door and for a good reason. We got the vegan ramen 🍜 and added the soft egg (because yum 🤤)! Everything was hot and delicious. Once we sat down they served us really quickly. 10/10 all around.Only drawback is parking is a bit tight around that area but we found street parking a few minutes walk away.

This is my favorite dipping noodle place in LA. Tsujita chains have all the hype, but this one has the best chewy noodle with the spicy flavorful soup. It never disappoints! I always get the dipping noodle with egg and char siu, plus 3 scoops of the spice powder, I’m in heaven!

This place seems to almost always be busy. Checking in on Yelp ahead of time may help. I got the Negi Tsukemen ramen, which is basically their pork broth ramen with negi (Japanese long onion). It did not disappoint. The negi has a bit lighter flavor than a typical green onion and a nice crunch, so it added to the texture. Good broth, and I like the wider noodles.

Be prepared for the.long haul when it comes to the wait. This tiny Japanese bistro only seats 20-23 people. Decorated with medium kitchen that takes most of the space, surrounded by chairs and a thigh high bar. Beer and wine along with tea are present, along with sodas. Noodles thick and delicious, the tender pork, and recommend with egg. Thumbs way up, worth the wait.

Not a typical experience here! Didnt have to wait a minute. I had the best time, the servers were attentive and friendly. The restaurant was quiet and calm,not something Im used to when the kitchen. Is open to the seating area. My ramen was delicious and plenty, I had to take home leftovers. The noodles were thick and flavorful... The broth was thick and flavorful.. definitely recommend adding the garlic and red powder (chilli?) In your ramen for an elevated experience. Will be back, I want to try the dipping noodle. The food here is incredible. I personally prefer Tsujita Annex over Tsujita - I feel like regular Tsujita is a lot fishier in taste, and Tsujita Annex has a much richer broth.Ajitama Tsukemen (5/5): The broth is super rich and flavorful, and even better with the Onikasu spice! The soft-boiled egg that comes with this is SO good - it literally changed my opinion on boiled eggs. You can also take the broth home and make soup with it - its so rich that it can last a few meals depending on how much broth you drink! The difference between the medium (which is already a lot of food) and the large is the amount of noodles

Great ramen. Tastes just like the ramen that I had in Japan. The broth is super rich and they have this blend of spices that you can add to it to make it a little spicier. Also the soft boiled egg was delicious. The flavor of the broth was soaked into the egg and the yolks was perfectly soft and rich. Really great Ramen. I would highly recommend going here.

Popular ramen and tsukumen (dipping ramen) spot on Sawtelle. Came here on a Saturday around 12:30 to grab lunch with a friend, who absolutely loves this place. I suggest getting on the waitlist beforehand on Yelp so that you don’t have to wait for too long, otherwise you can just get on the list in the machine located inside to the right. There’s a canopy with some chairs where you can sit and there’s menus available to peruse. One of the workers will take your order while you’re outside so that when you do get seated, you’ll get your food within like 5 minutes. The tsukumen options just vary in toppings, but the broth and noodles are the same. You are able to specify medium or large noodles, but note that the medium is already very filling. Note that they do take credit cards and there’s a gender neutral bathroom available in the back. It was about a 25 minute wait, but the perfectly cooked noodles are so wonderfully chewy it’s okay to wait. The dipping sauce is super fatty and definitely not healthy, so it’s a treat yo’self type of meal. Service was friendly and I suggest parking in the lot by the Starbucks, otherwise it’s street parking.

Everything has a reason, just like why you don’t need to wait at annex but you always do at tsujita across the street.Broth isn’t thick enough to attach to noodle, so when you dipped it, noodle still taste flavorless. However, the soup is actually super salty, strong pork and garlic you could taste if you drink it lol.it’s just like you get a soup and noodle separately, not a dipping noodle.And the whole restaurant even on the outside, you can’t ignore a very strong and stinky pork smell. It’s somehow unacceptable to me.To be honest, food isn’t bad, but it’s an unpleasant experience, and not thinking about coming back anytime soon.

It was hands down the best ramen Ive ever had at a ramen spot. The noodles are thick and the broth was so filling and tasty that I couldnt get enough of it. The only reason it didnt get 5 stars was because the wait was about an hour and a half and the smell when we were seated was really bad. I dont know if its the cleaning solution they used on the tables or what but it was really strong and very unpleasant.

Our waitress was very short at first.Waitress did not want to recomend any foods or favorites when asked.When we ordered our food, the bowl was set down on a table with people who were already eating and not wearing a mask.Then was immediately taken from that table and to our table.Especially during covid, I would expect that a more caution should be used.Chicken bowl was cold the first time, hot after sending back.Postickers were extra large and definitely worth the price!Better towards the end...The waitress did not charge for the chicken bowl.I dont know that we would come back except for potstickers!

Ive been here before a year and a half ago and it was great! However, now it actually smells like feces. And not just from the general ambience of sawtelle, the smell came from my food. Noodles are a terrible texture. Broth is gross. Ajitama ramen has bad egg as well. Really awful unfortunately. Great service though! The waitress let me leave quickly.

The noodles are a lot more chewy & bouncy than the one in the ramen. Both of the broths were really delicious as well. Ive tried almost every ramen place in Sawtelle and this is my least favorite. As far as tonkotsu goes, this is just so fatty that you will feel nauseous after the first couple of spoons. It tastes fine but basically just hits you with fat rather than any other flavor. Also the noodles I had were not very flavorful

I love Tsujita Annex. Annex Tsukemen has the best broth which is different from Tsujita. I love it much more than the original Tsujita and it’s what hits the spot for me. It’s just a lot more hearty. I came tonight, Sunday and was a bit disappointed that what I got was from the original one, which is much lighter in taste. I wanted that ANNEX broth! I wish the guy taking order at the line had told me that it wouldn’t be ANNEX Tsukemen for the night. I hope Annex comes back soon because it’s what hits the spot. The original other one is good too, just not the same because it’s for people with light taste buds. If you want big flavor, it is Annex that will do it. I guess when I got served and saw it wasn’t the Annex Tsukemen I was used to and love, it just caught me off guard. I will be back when Annex is back.

This is the only tsukemen place I know of in LA. It’s usually busy and a wait, but today was my lucky day! I came with a friend and we got tsukemen.They ask if you want your broth to be spicy, so of course I said yes (it’s not spicy).Service is always good and the people working here are polite.The chashu is good here. I love the bean sprouts since they are crunchy.I also ordered take out for my dad, and they put it on a separate check, which I like; but it confused me since I thought they forgot about the take out order. I wish they had Tsujita in the Pacific Northwest. I am still dreaming about the flavorful broth from the Tsukemen. If you sit at the bar, you can watch the process in which the chef takes the broth and filters it into the bowl a certain way in intervals. The RamenAfter visiting Tsujita LA Artisan Noodle, finally have a chance to visit Annex today. I ordered their Ramen with Char Siu (Pork) with boiled egg. My first impression was that the broth is quite flavorful, the noodles had good chewy texture, and good soft boiled egg. The char siu pork was quite tender, though it had inconsistent temperature where top is cold. As I was eating it, I found though the broth a flavorful, it was quite thick and heavy. I actually dont mind it too much, but I cant drink all broth like I can with other ramens. They also have Tsukemen and spicy flavor, which I want to try next time.The MiscellaneousAnnex is right across the street from Tsujita LA Artisan Noodle. The inside is open kitchen so seating can be somewhat limited. I went during an odd hour and there was a short wait, so you can imagine how long the line can get during meal hour. The ramen is delicious. They are known for tsukemen, ramen is now an option. The chashu they use is very meaty(opposed to being fatty like most other places) and is served generously as a topping. You can also add green onions, egg, more chashu, and menma(bamboo). If youre a tad more hungry they also serve chashu and tuna bowls(dons). The annex shop only accepts cash. There is a waiting list and shaded sitting area outside. Do note that it is a little more expensive compared to other places(~$12+ per bowl of ramen). While menu prices have been increasing gradually, the quality has only gone downhill, especially since the start of the pandemic. Tried the Ajitama Ramen a few days ago. The broth was super rich and the ramen itself was thick and bouncy. The broth was fatty but a little too fatty.The restaurant itself was not clean, sticky, and had a strange smell. The bathroom was also very messy.

Most unique ramen I’ve ever had on the west side. The soup has so much pork fat that you can see it in the soup. If you can tolerate a bit of funk, you should try this place. The initial smell outside the shop can be off-putting but it’s part of the experience.Ramen with seasoned egg is most worth since you get a few pieces of chashu, egg, cabbage and bean sprouts. If you have a bigger appetite, it’s only $1 more for extra noodles.

I’m vegetarian, I got the ramen and had it with plenty of their Onikasu spice blend. It was the most delicious veggie ramen I’ve had, that spice blend is unique and amazing. I’d travel far and wide for this ramen. The service was amazing and all the staff we interacted with was amazingly kind and attentive. I could not recommend this place enough.

I have only ever had the dipping ramen, but that would be this places specialty. And it definitely lives up to the hype. The broth is thick and delicious, though bear in mind it can have an odd funky smell. But smell aside, it tastes super savory and flavorful. Though it really only goes well when complimented by the noodles. It is not good for slurping on its on. With its high fat content, it is a very heavy broth that will make you feel very full very fast. The noodles itself are also pretty good noodles, thick and of good consistency. Overall though, if you want dipping ramen, this would be the place.

The wait was around an hour but it was worth it in the end. The amount of food provided was enormous, even for the regular size. The dipping noodles were excellent and the broth was incredibly rich and tasty.The smell of the restaurant is not exactly enjoyable, but you are in and out quickly since most of the waiting is outside. And once you have the food, you tend to forget about the smell.

This is a very popular Japanese ramen place. They have a few locations, and this one is in the Japanese town, near the Marshall shopping mall. The restaurant itself is not big, so be aware the line could be really long. Noodle wise, I dont find the quality is amazingly good as described by others. I can only say its cooked well.

This was my first tsukemen experience and I LOVED it! Their noodles are so chewy and go well with their signature pork broth. My group waited about 20min to get seated. Use Yelp Waitlist to reserve your spot. You have to wait at the designated area and order while waiting. Your food will be served shortly after you are seated.

This is one of those places that specializes in a few things and makes them all really well. The rice bowl has a minty undertone and is not mushy (even though spicy tuna usually is). The ramen itself is simple with noodles, pork, egg, sprouts, and broth. Thats it. Its also really thick and fatty, and the noodles have a good bite. Oh, and absolutely get it with the soft-boiled egg; I have no idea how they cook it so perfectly.The interior is pretty compact, and the line can get long. I recommend going for early dinner to beat the crowd.

I went to Tsujita around six months ago for the first time and was extremely impressed with the quality of tsukemen ramen. So, when I found myself in the area this evening, I didnt hesitate to go back for another round. Unfortunately, I was left utterly disappointed. Im not sure if theyve changed ownership or chefs, but what I was served cannot even be categorized as ramen. It was a thin, acrid broth with no richness or depth of flavor. I was only able to get a handful of bites down before throwing in the towel.The only reason I kept my review at 2 stars is out of hope that I caught the restaurant on a really bad day. However, after looking at other recent reviews, Im inclined to think this place has simply lost its touch.

I do not know a lot about ramen and dont eat it too often but this place was really good. The pork belly was very, very good. I did not try the Tsukemen but the people sitting near us had it and seemed to be enjoying it a lot. We used yelp to check in ahead of time and when we arrived we ordered with the waitress, waited a few minutes outside for our seats and then were called in and the food was ready soon after. Will definitely come back. Parking was easy enough to find down the street and there was a store right next door that had some cool stuff to check out while we waited for our table.

As a Japanese native who lived in Tokyo for my entire childhood, I was excited to try this Jiro-style ramen. For those who dont know, Jiro style ramen is an extremely popular style of ramen, characterized by thick, heavy noodles, fatty broth, thick cut fatty pork, and loads of bean sprouts on top. Jiro style ramen is known for being extremely cheap (~$8), and youre able to customize the amount of meat, noodles, and vegetables for no additional cost.I can begrudgingly understand the high cost of this ramen (~$14-$18) because its LA, and everything is expensive. However, for a place that advertises itself as an authentic Japanese ramen experience, I was left severely disappointed.We waited over 1 hour for a table, which isnt uncommon. However, multiple parties were served ahead of us, and we were told to keep waiting outside until they were ready despite serving many other parties of 2 ahead of us. Once we were seated, service was minimal and straight to the point. No complaints once we got seated.Secondly, the quality and consistency of the noodles was amazing. Firm and springy, just like in Japan. The broth on the other hand, was bad. Just straight up bad. Extremely salty and somehow citrusy(?), it was honestly undrinkable. I personally love a fatty, salty broth with lots of garlic, but this broth was really, really bad, especially when being compared to authentic Jiro style shops in Japan. The ramen egg was also overcooked, as were the bean sprouts.Thirdly, the large noodle portion was hardly large. I easily finished my ramen in 5 minutes, and I was pretty full when I got there. ESPECIALLY when being compared to Japanese ramen shops who dont charge a penny for a larger portion of noodles, the price difference between medium and large was laughable. Also, my fiancee got the medium size, and the portions were literally the exact same.Because Tsujita advertises itself as such an authentic experience, I drove 2.5 hours from San Diego just to try this ramen. 6+ hours and $40 later, I find myself at home, extremely disappointed. Two stars for great noodle quality, but bad service and terrible broth took away the last three stars. Ill stay searching for a truly authentic Jiro Ramen style resturant. But sadly, this is NOT the one.

This restaurant specializes in the dipping ramen. Essentially, you get a bowl of ramen noodle and a bowl of soup from which to you dip in. The soup is not piping hot so the meal can feel a bit chilly. The soup is pretty salty and much more dense than usual. The flavors are strong though so be ready. Overall, it is a very heavy meal even without any of the side dishes. I enjoy the experience every once in a while and make a visit maybe once a year. It’s a small shop where the seats at the bar outnumber the tables I think, but bar seating adds to a more authentic experience. Parking can be difficult to find as there is no designated lot, but most of the time you can find it a few blocks aways in the residential neighborhoods. Try to avoid peak times for long waits.

To start, this place is super cute. Haven’t been to Japan yet but this seems like somewhere they’d go on Terrace House. The process of ordering and being seated is a little dramatic. There’s also a pretty bad scent once you step into the restaurant. It’s weird...I’ve been there twice and it’s definitely unsettling. However, the ramen is so good I try my best to ignore the smell. You get a lot of food...like a lot. I strongly recommend getting on the Yelp waitlist before arriving. Once your turn is up on the waitlist, they have you order, then you wait a few more minutes to be seated. Great ramen, but hopefully they can do something about the smell inside.

Outstanding ramen! Totally worth the super long wait which depending on the time of day, can be a long time. The portion size is way bigger than it looks in the picture so make sure you go in with an empty stomach. I have tried almost every ramen place on this Street and this one is the best. It really was mediocre and Ill explain why. Ive had tsukemen in tokyo, and this was completely different. Tsukemen is supposed to have a thick broth to dip the noodles in, that will coat the noodles. Thats the whole point of dipping. Here we received a bowl of thin salty water with strange pork fat particles floating at the top, that just wouldnt stick to the noodles. Just salty but no real tonkotsu flavor. The chashu was not at all tender, but chewy and tough. The fat hadnt yet melted. Very unpleasant to eat. I regret that I came here and wasted a lunch in my LA trip because of the high reviews. Unfortunate.
