Ok, i love this place!We have been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so reliably goooood!We popped in a few weeks ago on a cold rainy morning. It was so warm and welcoming inside with the fireplace flames dancing in the background. Big warm smiles from the employees also greeted us at the door, such a nice start to the day.We ordered classic eggs bene and chris got the wild mushroom scramble. Because cold weather makes you hungrier, we threw in a cinnamon french toast too:-) Perfect just wonderful, all of it.!The buttery, silky hollandaise was generously slathered over tender, yolky poached eggs. The omelette was tender and loaded with spinach and rich mushrooms. Tutus provides real maple syrup with the baguettes sliced to make the rich and tender cinnamon french toast. Yummmm!Fast forward to a sunny, warm afternoon last week. We were at the end of our Lafayette Circle Nosh and Drink Crawl (all those great restaurants in such close proximity, we are such a lucky community).We sat at the counter bar by the espresso machine.Inspired, Christopher ordered an Espresso martini. (He has been watching too much Below Deck) I requested a nicely chilled rose, mmm. We wanted a final nosh so the server suggested the charcuterie platter, although she did warn us that it was a large portion .Such a fabulous recommendation! See pix below, there was so much on this board, just look at it! Fruit, cold cuts and amazing cheeses.Did I already say that we love this place?!

We had breakfast here. There were four of us. The service was very good. The waiter boy was friendly and at the same time did not interfere with our communication with friends. I am satisfied with my breakfast. It was very delicious. Friends ordered a pancake. But it was too lemony. They couldnt finish their pancakes. Of course, the topic of tastes is specific. Someone will like a richer taste, and someone will not. In general, I liked the place. There was also delicious craft beer. I recommend to visit. Maybe this place will become your favorite!)

The food was good and well presented. We came for lunch, which is my main meal of the day, and i thought proportions size excellent ; not too much, not too little. Coffee was excellent . My coffee aficionado friend raved after travel in the US and was feeling deprived of a good coffee. We came back for lunch the next day too. Staff was good and catered without any attitude to food sensitivities.Its pleasant indoors and outside to eat. Nice bar and the cater to prepared take away meals. They also sell organic meats. I brought their prepared meatloaf home to my 90+ mother to rave reviews.

Yum! There are so many delicious dishes to try at Tutus! I highly recommend their appetizers! Their summer roll is light and refreshing! Their calamari is tender and crispy! I really enjoyed their corn and tomato pizza! So good! Please save room for desserts! My friend Tony is the pastry man! Oh their seasonal crisp with strawberries and rhubarb ... Tart and sweet and full of flavor! Their flourless chocolate cake is rich and delicious. Lemon pie... So good too! And apple pie, classic pie, fantastic crust and flavor. Our servers were very attentive and cordial. Go and enjoy! They also have a market, so you can pick up their food to go!

One of the better price vs value restaurants in Lafayette. If I need a go to, this is one of the few. Some afternoons, I love going with my daughter for fries and a coke (her) and a glass of wine and an appetizer (me) and we color. The restaurant is always pleasantly empty mid-afternoon so its our perfect stay-cation when we need one!

Tutu (formerly called Chow) is a combination of restaurant, bar, and indoor market. All dishes are prepared with local, organic ingredients, which are also sold in their small market. The menu consists mostly of salads, sandwiches, tacos, and burgers. The food quality was good, but the prices were high, even for Lafayette. Fast and friendly service. Free refills on ice teas. Indoor and outdoor seating.

I came here solo for brunch. Wanted to try the chilaquiles, but they were out so I tried the smiling noodles. The dish was enjoyable and filling, despite the heavy acidic flavor. I also expected a sauce, not broth. The Mai Tai was perfect and the staff worked very well together.

Havent been back in a long while, yet have been thinking about the seafood linguine for years, was my favorite when Chow. 😢 Sadness today, it was tasteless, watery no flavor and seafood sadly overcooked. Sent it back, they credited the check, but still utterly disappointed. Unfortunately we had to request service from our server, and wasnt very busy.:) The gingerbread cake was just as good as remembered.Ill keep my fond memories from past visits and may return for the gingerbread cake with pumpkin ice cream to go.

I recently visited Tutus Bar and Grill in Lafayette, CA and I must say, it was an incredible experience. This restaurant offers paid public parking, making it very convenient for customers who are driving. The location is amazing as it is situated in a beautiful area. I had the pleasure of dining outside, as the restaurant offers outdoor seating, which was a delightful experience.Now, I must warn you that if you decide to visit during peak hours (11-2), there might be a somewhat long wait time, but trust me, its totally worth it! I highly recommend this restaurant despite the wait. The only downside I experienced was that there were not many vegetarian options on the menu. However, there were plenty of non-veg options to choose from, and the drinks selection was vast.The ambiance of the restaurant is impeccable; its a beautiful location with fantastic staff. Our server, Heralbo (sorry if I misspelled it), was amazing, and he went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. The staff in general were very welcoming and nice people.Overall, I had a fantastic time at Tutus Bar and Grill. The food was great, the drinks were fantastic, and the staff was fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a good time and great food.

This is a lively unassuming sort of place. There food offerings are pretty typical but the preparation and deliciousness is above average. Excellent and consistent. The place can get very busy but food usually still comes in a timely manner. I would highly recommend the smoked salmon breakfast hash and peach or coconut cream pie.

Tutu’s is my favorite spot in town. Great customer service, cute little shop attached, and most importantly, the food is good. I haven’t found a dish I don’t like yet. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner it’s all good. Whoever the chef is, my hats off to him/her, they’ve really put a lot of thought into the menu and dishes. Making little changes to familiar dishes that really set them apart. A quick example, my wife had pancakes this morning but they did a citrus touch to them. Truly unique and light. We also ordered a side of sausage not expecting much when they arrived but, WOW. Couldn’t believe the flavor and texture. Definitely worth a try if you get breakfast. Their eggs Benedict was delicious and the herbal teas were so good we looked up the maker to get some for ourselves 😉. The ambiance is great too, especially if you’re outside. Cute little corner of La Fiesta square that over looks a few other restaurants. Can’t go wrong here.

Tutu’s is always delicious. Though we had quite a wait, it was worth it! We shared their excellent Caesar salad. Then we had grilled fish tacos 🌮 that were superb. Finally, we had the baked apple pie which comes all warm and oozing with drizzled Caramel and fresh whipped cream, topped with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. Super scrumptious!! We ordered stroganoff for lunch which turned out to be roast beef placed on a bed of noodles…it tasted like pot roast on a bed of noodles no mushrooms,no cream. Just not what we expected… the Cobb salad was good but no cobbs…also, “the greens” were mixed with romaine… felt like bait and switch.

I came here for breakfast one morning. I ordered an apple juice and eggs Benedict. The place looks really nice and was lively. My server wasnt nice but wasnt mean either. Just seemed like she didnt care for my presence but that didnt bother me. The apple juice was super foamy on top and it just didnt taste right. Im assuming they made it on the spot but I only drank 2 sips cuz it wasnt tasty at all. My plate came with the eggs Benedict, the potatoes with some type of marinara-ish sauce I guess, and a salad. The eggs Benedict was the eggs, that hollandaise sauce and ham on the biscuit... I thought the ham would be thick, seemed like the ham you get out of a package at home. The potatoes were good but the marinara-ish sauce kinda ruined it. The salad was fine, I just wasnt a fan of the dressing they put on it(they put too much is what I mean). I came in here with hope that it would turn my already bad day, but was left pretty disappointed. The place just seemed like a hipster place trying to be fancy with their foods. My total was $25, 5 for the apple juice and 20 for the plate. It honestly wasnt worth it. The picture is of the apple juice they gave me, Id include a picture of the food but it just looks better than it tastes.Only real good thing I can honestly say is that I was only there for 30 minutes. So very quick service, which is great and the place did look nice.

Again at Tutus this Thursday in Lafayette,, a very good choice for good food at reasonable cost. So many to choose from and you can have Breakfast all day. This time I had lambchops with fried potatoes and broccolini, again I ordered the fresh squeezed pear and carrot drink. My friend enjoyed a perfect tuna melt sandwich with fries with a soda.The staff was attentive and cheerful. Menu choices change throughout the year with a large selection. The bar is well stocked plus beer,coffees and other drinks. Dessert menu range from berry cobbler through ice cream, all delicious so save room. Of course COVID-19 rules are relaxed but think of others if you hear numbers increasing.Before:Very good place to eat. We went 2 Saturdays in a row. Prices are reasonable, foods are delicious.I had the hot squash soup, came with a piece of sour dough bread. Today I had the large lamb burger with tzatziki sauce, slices of juicy tomato, nice salad mix, fresh toasted bun and picked string fries. Also got a warm slice of apple pie with cream and Carmel sauce. I also picked the fresh squeezed juice, I picked the carrot and pear, so good!My friend picked minestrone soup with her huge chicken breast BLT with avocado on toasted bun, she loved it especially the crispy bacon. Her dessert was a huckleberry and pear crisp. You have to try this place.They do all the covid things like masks and distance things inside and out. If you want to eat inside it is comforting to know to bring your shot card or test. The staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. The food is prepared fresh, so it takes a little time but they have many people working there, as soon as it is ready to serve it is brought to you. Other people are filling glasses, cleaning tables, setting up, so it is never a long time to get your table. Saturday I saw they served brunch until 4pm, a bonus. There is metered parking. Costs $2 in quarters or you can use your credit card. They have a store where you can buy many things they make, got to check it out next week.,

Selena is an awesome server, my friend has been here many times here but was my first. Pasta is esquisit to the taste.Has the right amount of seasoning and flavor, meat is also not dry. Server comes back to visit. Meatballs are tender. While the chicken is cooked just right. Overall I can recommend this place. Lighting is moody by the way.

The only negative part was I asked for my $35 dollar ribeye to be medium rare and when I got the ribeye it was cooked too much it was more like medium well to well done but still juicy and the seasoning on it was good and my friend who I was eating with got the same order and his was also over cooked.i still ate my whole plate of food.

Went here for brunch around midday on a Wednesday and it was packed! Good food, we got the sausage and mushroom scramble (be warned it has spinach and onions too not listed on menu- but was good) and carnitas scramble. Wish they had gluten free bread options though as my friend has an allergy and was only offered salad or tacos. I enjoyed the coffee and fresh juice as well. Prices were a little high but we enjoyed our meal.

Good Eggs Benedict & lamb burgers. Fresh squeezed juices. Sometimes hard to get seating so I go into the bar because the in & out movement quicker. They have some servers who move a little slow for a crowded place & can sometimes take a little too long to clear the plates, yours or those around you. The most aware person was the one making juices & coffee drinks. But fortunately the food is fresh & good & comes quickly. Nice salad w/a good Benedict & red potatoes. Place across street overcooks the eggs. Did not look as good. Omelets rubbery looking.

Ive been going here for years. The quality of the food is excellent; a little pricey, but I dont mind paying more for quality. Most ingredients are organic. They use the fresh produce and meat that they sell in the market in the food. If you are are a pie fan, dont forget to try the pies. My favorite is the coconut cream. They also have all kinds of prepackaged entrees, soups, sides and salads.

I love the food and the service here. The atmosphere is casual & comfortable even when were coming n going from glamorous events. It can can be great for a date or family gathering. Im so so grateful for a place that is mostly all organic and health conscious yet also comfort food and something for everyone. Im vegetarian, my daughter is vegan., were all happy here. Its our go to place. We keep trying to go to other places for special occasions but are never as happy as we are here. The veggie platter is my go to. My darlings especially love the veggie burger, fish tacos, pastas. Their wine & drink selection is curated marvelously. Went to Tutus for the first time since the closing of Chows in this location. Nothing has changed since them except for the name. Same Decor & same Menu . We were here about 6pm on Fri night and the place was empty. We were a party of 6 people. Service was quick, ( no other customers) . I had a enchiladas plate and they were good except for the food arrived cool. Not acceptable for pre-made food that just has to be heated. Another person had the Smoked Salmon Hash, but the Salmon forgot to get in the hash. Prices seem to be on the high side for the quantity and quality of food. Thought we would give it a try since we liked Chows, but will not be returning.

This was one of my go-tos on the way home from a long day at work, when I was just too tired to make dinner. Also a great place to bring or meet a friend. Great service people and consistently good food with a very nice deli at the side of the restaurant next to the bar. The lamb burger is a favorite, soups and salads are great, and the wine list always had good quality wine by the glass at a fair price.

I love this cozy local place. I usually come in for breakfast with my friends. Good quality food. However weekend experience for late breakfast wasnt as good of an experience. The food was cold. We had to request to have the food heated. The eggs look like they were cooked awhile ago and was rubbery. Ill avoid it during busy time. Youd think the food would be fresh with the high turnover.

Chow used to be my favorite restaurant but not anymore. Will never go back again. Yesterday I ordered a large Cobb salad with side order of blue cheese . It was a total rip off. I swear the portion was little more than a side order at a cost of $18.I thought it was a mistake so I asked the waiter if he brought me a small salad instead of the larger one. He said no he didnt make a mistake. I asked where was the egg and he said it was mixed with the dressing. By the way the side order of cheese never made it to the table. I was at this place on 1-21-22 late afternoon and the service was great.My problem is I ordered the fresh Halibut.I have eaten Halibut many different ways and in many different dishes.Ive had it fried,boiled,grilled,in Lasagna,in seafood combos,fresh,frozen and Ive never had a problem eating it.What i was served in my expert opinion was not Halibut.It was mushy not flakey.It was more like butterfish,monkfish or walu..My stomach was upset that night and I had intestinal issues all day Sat. I knew it when I ate it and I should have sent it back.This has happened to me before and this was my first and last time eating at Tu Tus. This place has slipped in quality. The last several times I have eaten here I was disappointed. My burger was supposed to be medium rare and it was well done. The tomato was not cored, the lettuce was wilty and the fries were over cooked. The waiter didnt even come back to check on how our meal was. I left mine uneaten. It was way overpriced for the quality of the food. We used to go to breakfast here every sunday morning, we stopped since the prices got so high and the quality of food was not consistent.

Really Neat Restaurant in Downtown Lafayette.My wife Absolutely Loves this place!!!, now and since the the mid-1990s, when it was formerly known as Mr. Chows, and Tutus is always her first choice of eatery when in town. I think it is a little over the top, very busy, but the food and service makes up for those little inconveniences.Indoor and outdoor seating. Bar (stool) seating available, bathrooms are indoors, traditional tables w/ interior and exterior seating, however outdoor seating seems limited to the typical 2-4 person table. Larger parties seem to be located indoors.Restaurant is mid-sized and can accommodate well over 100+ people, which to see for yourself, at least 100 people are at this establishment on the weekends, which why Tutus is not my first choice while visiting Lafayette.The parking lot is like the restaurant traffic (slow = lots of parking / busy = limited to no parking), although if you bring a friend that is disabled or your grandma(pa), bring them and their disabled parking placard and parking shouldnt be much of an issue.However, once you find parking, avoid not getting hit by a car (looking for parking), get through the wait (we have never waited longer than 30 minutes), the food and service is all worth it. Very personal, and despite the busyness of the street/parking and other shops and restaurants in the close vicinity, we always tend to be able to relax immediately once we sit down, order a few Mimosas (or one of their wide variety of unique cocktails to choose from) and then enjoy our stay no matter how long we come to visit. We feel right at home at Tutus........Then afterwards we take a stroll to their Farmers Market (in the same building as the restaurant, toward the Right, next to the Bar; where they have fresh fruits, vegetables, butcher meats, unique selection of beers, ciders, and surprisingly a wide selection of wines, to their restaurant pre-made pancake batter, jelly spreads to other menu items to take home.< JUST AHEADS UP: for the frugal, fiscally conservative, price conscience, trying to save a buck types of people > this Farmers Market may not be good for ones vision: may cause dizziness, trouble walking or speaking without mentioning how much the food costs, easily irritabile and/or irritated by the price tags displayed, anxiety, sudden increase of heartbeat (LOL) - where the food prices are approximately 20+% more than that of Whole Foods Amazon (1/4 mile drive away), but the Tutus Farmers Market has that old school feel to it, it is quicker through the checkout, their food, like the restaurant (fruits, veggies, meats) are handsdown fresh and much more convenient (if picking up something for the night or the next couple of days) than dealing with another parking lot at the grocery store.Despite the busy surroundings, Tutus is a must visit when looking for a great food restaurant for breakfast or lunch when visiting the east bay area; with a friend or family visiting out of town, this is the restaurant of our choice, especially when shopping and visiting the downtown Lafayette area; as well as getting the BEST cup of coffee in the Bay Area at Phils (just down the street). I knew there was a reason I hadnt been back in a few years.Coffee was meh. Food was the same. Bill wasnt. Typical overpriced layafette fair. Left feeling unsatisfied. Went home and brewed a pot of coffee and ate breakfast.
