Absolutely loved this local bookstore! They had a really great selection of new releases as well really high quality ( and reasonably priced) used books. My kids also loved the kid section. Definitely recommend!!

What a wonderful bookstore! Charming and cozy but packed with a thoughtfully curated collection of new and used books. Great selection of greeting cards and other goodies, too. The owner Gary was helpful and friendly, offering excellent recommendations.

One of the most charming, cozy bookstores I’ve ever been to:Of the numerous bookstores I’ve been to, this underrated gem just stands out from the rest. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming! The place on the other hand, greets you with the warmth of relaxing jazz that lingers in the background, as well as homey smell of fresh books. The entire place is tied together so beautifully, is super organized, and is easy to navigate around. My first visit and definitely plan on coming again soon :)

This is a special bookstore that I always visit when I am in Capitola. I wish they had more books in spanish but its still a hidden treasure w/ great book selections and its so close to the water so you can buy your book then walk a few blocks to the beach!

My favorite local bookstore. They always have the current books I am looking for plus a variety of candles, tote bags, bookmarks, socks. I love going here at least every two weeks supporting small local business. My 8 year old saves his allowances and goes and buys his favorite childrens books and the owner is always so nice to him. Defitnetly check it out.

The perfect little bookshop! Great variety of books, helpful owners, lovely Santa Cruz vibe. It is my new favorite bookstore. My mom got a stack on used books for a great price. I joined their beach bonfire bookclub over the summer and loved it.

I was so delighted when I learned that Two Birds Books was new in town. Then, when I visited the shop, I got really excited to meet Gary. He inspires the joy of reading and is a great asset to our community. And as a local Aptos romantic suspense writer, there was also an opportunity to share my edge-of-seat novels and offer them on the Two Birds shelf. My friends and I love this bookstore!

Two Birds Books is a wonderful addition to Pleasure Point! Walking in will instantly lift your mood. It’s a lovely atmosphere filled with plentiful options. Great for gifts, ordering special titles, and of course, browsing. Denise and Gary are so welcoming and have the best recommendations.

Small strip mall shop, but is very well curated. Aimed at book lovers. Has a lot of trade format releases and high quality hard covers. Buys back books too. New books are pricey due to high quality, but used books are reasonable. Have found many of my new favorite books here, not found anywhere.

Two Birds is a perfect place for browsing both new and used books. I appreciate the staff reviews and recommendations, which have steered me to writers I otherwise would have missed, and especially value the personal service. Its always fun to come in and chat with Gary about what were reading.

I could not be more pleased to again have a bookstore in my neighborhood. I have made it a practice to call Two Birds before ordering any new book online to see if they can order the book for me. Gary has been wonderfully accommodating and helpful and my books have always arrived promptly. I love running down to the store to pick up my new books and often end up grabbing some additional treasure from their finely stocked shelves. Two Birds is already a local gem.

Now were talking! A really well stocked book store (dont be fooled by the small space) within walking distance. The owners are so lovely, as are their dogs, and have imbued this space with a very nice vibe. New and used books, unique items for gift giving, and quality puzzles I have never seen before. Great independent book store with a wide range of titles and interests, as well as a selection of items perfect for gifting. The staff are super knowledgeable - I was looking for a book they didnt have in stock (which they ordered) and he recommended another book, which I loved. Perfect if you are in the mood for perusing or if you have a title in mind.

Imagine having a nice, cozy, vibrant bookshop in your neighborhood. This is the kind of local store you want to keep to yourself. A jewel box filled with bookish treasures of all kinds ( but mostly books, ok, it is a bookstore), perhaps its most valuable contents are the owners Gary and Denise. Gary will always find me some title I never considered but enjoyed tremendously, and Denise is always reading something I want to add to my TBR. Oh did I mention the bookstore dogs?! Please dont tell anyone about this perfect shop in the heart of Pleasure Point.

We are thrilled to have a a fabulous locally owned bookstore in the neighborhood. My kids can ride their bikes to Two Birds, sell their used books and buy new ones to keep them reading. A stop by Two Birds has become a regular family request.
