The restaurant was FREEZING COLD. And even though we ended up getting an English speaking waitress after a few minutes the gal still did not get one of our orders correctly. However, the food is excellent in taste!!!
This review is for my to go orders. They have delicious and authentic Vietnamese food. My favorites are the imperial rolls, butter chicken and sweet & sour soup. Its usually a 30 minute wait for phone in orders, which is reasonable. Im giving 5 stars because they present their to go orders as if they would be with dine in. To go orders come neatly presented with all the fixings. You can see they take care in packing it. Support this local business. One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Elk Grove! The only place where you can get deep fried cat fish spring rolls! I come here specifically for this, its served family style. The beef carpaccio is another favorite of mine here. Its always super fresh and I love all the toppings. Ive tried a couple rice plate dishes and theyre really good to.
I have definitely drove pass this place many times and never thought to try it out. Grilled catfish is a must there! However, call ahead of time to avoid wait time because of the cooking process it may be long. It is serve with rice paper, lettuce, herbs and a sauce. The sauce taste sweet, sour, garlicky, hint of spice and fish sauce/fermented fish sauce. Im not a fan of catfish but this dish here definitely won for me!
Was in town visiting some friends and they suggested this place. Ambiance was great and everyone working was accommodating Nd gave great recommendations. The baked catfish was delicious and the noodle dishes were so yummy. Inexpensive also. Highly recommend
We waited over 35 minutes and it became obvious that they had forgotten our orders. When asked how much longer, the waiter said he would check but never came back to update us. I got my dessert first and my meal never came. We finally went to the cashier to pay for our dessert and tea at the 40 minutes mark, when no one came back by even though there were only a few tables at that time. The same waiter rung up our bill and the only thing he said to us was youve only been here 15 minutes. He wasnt interested in making it right or letting us know that the food was coming. No apology.There were three large tables near us, empty but not bussed even though the patrons were long gone. We sat there wondering where the staff went. I only gave them two stars for the dessert and tea that actually showed up.
Been going to them since they opened in San Francisco. After they moved to Sacramento, we would always come here whenever we go to Tahoe or Reno. The baked cat fish is their must try dish. By far the best tasting in California. The Pho and other dishes are great too!!
I LOVE this restaurant- food is always fresh and perfectly prepared. They do get busy at times but I’m not so full of my own self importance that I feel like I should be taken care of above all else. The staff is always respectful and kind, this is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Elk Grove.
Good food. Great service for party of 2-4 but terrible for bigger parties. After church, our party of 9 went here. Food came one at a time. Everyone was finished eating but my dads grilled beef and shrimp still wasnt ready.
This place wins the award of worst service in elk Grove.Please save yourselves from the terrible experience of waiting at least 45 mins for your own food.Order take out and order the catfish. The service is terrible for even Asian restaurants, we waited 15 mins for part of an order we called in ahead of time.When ordering the catfish(again pre-order it) save some money and buy some vermicelli noodles since they only give you enough noodles for 9 spring rolls.This place is frustrating, you want to love it cus the food is so good but the service and the attitude of the people working is inexcusable, spend your money else where as they dont deserve it at all.
First and last no manner they ignore customers.

One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Im a vegan. I have found that most Vietnamese restaurants use a beef broth as their base in their soups. Tay Giang has a Vegan pho that uses a vegetable broth. They have delicious vegan dishes but also have delicious dishes for the regular meat eaters like the rest of my family. I love their egg rolls! Totally different from other Vietnamese restaurants. I come here as often as I can. Try it...youll like it!
I called to order to go. The man who took my orders said will be ready in 25 minutes. I came to the restaurant. They dont even know what my orders are. I sat there, waited for 40 minutes. Finally, I asked the man where is my orders. He started arguing. I gave up and walked out without food. I do not think they know how to manage the busy day. Wasting your time
Food is ok, portions are a bit small. Hot tea will cost you 3$ per person. Service is friendly but can be a bit slow, usually only one waiter/waitress during lunch.
Elegant decor and very comfortable chairs. It was busy on a Sunday at noon. Food was adequate but a bit bland. Or maybe we just ordered the wrong thing. Will definitely go back and try it again.

Vietnamese food at this location - excellent. The food was amazing. I will be bringing family next time. The place has a great atmosphere. Kinda of like a cafe in Phoenix that I enjoyed.
The pho here is bomb, but so are all their other rice noodle and rice dishes! Service is excellent. Clean atmosphere. I only eat here when I want Vietnamese food...

Best grilled catfish in all the places I have been to in California. Very good shaking beef, beef salad, and seaweed soup.

2023-03-14 13:53:40First time trying the fried fish wrap and def not the last time. So flavorful and the sauce that comes with it pairs so well. Portion is huge and can prob feed 5-7 people although it says 2-3. Def worth the $55 for this medium fried fish.

2022-01-29 05:45:39This spot used to be in San Francisco, but they opened up in Sacramento. We decided to come here one night since we were heading back home and this was on the way. They are currently only open for dinner, due to a staffing shortage. However, you can order for pickup/takeout.We decided to get the catfish DIY rolls. You definitely have to either call in to reserve a catfish, because they run out. Some other dishes that we ordered were the fried chicken wings and the beef carpaccio. The wings were fried perfectly and wore nice and crispy. The carpaccio is really delicious and spicy.The food was extremely delicious and very fresh. The staff is very attentive and extremely nice. Definitely a good spot to hit up if youre craving Vietnamese!!

I have been waiting for 20 minutes in front of the door and the server just ignored us. Not even asked anything. But the server asked the other customer that just arrived without reservation as well.
