What an amazing place to eat. A diamond in the town. Wait staff is kind and sweet. Food was fresh, quick, and best flavors. Parking not too bad. A must go if you enjoy Asian cuisine.

Ueno is always a hit. Definitely out favorite sushi spot, highly recommend the tuna belly sashimi! Some of the freshest fish I’ve ever had. I usually get the cherbam roll, as its a great combo of spicy and variety of fish.

This is my new favorite go to sushi restaurant. The sushi is delicious with tons of different varieties of rolls. Most places have your standard sushi list. But here its the standard list and so so much more.The staff feels like a family owned restaurant and everyone is so sweet. Well definitely be back.

We heard there was a new sushi place in town so we came to check it out and it did not disappoint! We got to meet the owner and im so happy we did. He was very passionate about quality sushi. If youre looking for a fancy place to eat this would not be it but if youre looking for beautifully prepared Delicious sushi then this is it! They have many spicy and non spicy options and my favorite was definitely the crispy rice with spicy tuna and their yellowtail jalepaneo with crispy onion. So good, cant wait to come back!

We found this place on Yelp, and as usual, they didnt steer us wrong. We ordered the salmon skin salad which was delicious! It was filled with crunchy skin, had just the right amount of dressing, and fresh greens. I will for sure order that again. San Pedro roll and the salmon skin roll were good as well. Lastly, we got the chicken gyoza, which I devoured as soon as it hit the table. The service was just average, but since they just reopened indoor dining, I wont begrudge them that. Luckily, this place is close to home and not very expensive so Ill be back! Next time, Ill take some pictures.Updated 1/23At this point, Ive ordered the salmon skin salad at least 5 times and its consistently delicious. Additionally, the sashimi dinner special and the dynamite scallop are also great.

I enjoyed the food very much at Ueno. They have a very large selection on their menu. I ended up ordering the tiger roll and the bacon wrapped shrimp and asparagus. Both were very good! The young lady that took my order had a very bright energy and even gave recommendations. I will definitely be visiting this establishment again. Currently, they closed outside dining, but they are still open for take out.

Great attetion to the client no judment what so ever i had went to a different sushi spot and turn me down said there was booked with reservation but i think they didnt want me to stay for the way i was dressed (i work in a tire shop ) so cloths where a bit dirty the other spot was empty so was this one but this place welcomes you in a good way

This place is great- great staff, great food, great owner. The staff members are always courteous and very friendly, the food is what youd expect (good quality), and the owner is a blast. Your face will be remembered (even after 1 visit) and you will be welcomed very warmly. I would recommend this restaurant to those who want good food, plenty of drinks, and a really good time.

Amazing!! Was hungry wanted something different.I had read the reviews so Im thinking let me see for myself!! Customer service was GREAT explained Im allergic to dairy so the young lady I try the Beautiful Beaches Roll and I ordered a chicken fried rice. Let me tell yall that roll was thee best tasty fresh I ever tasted with them crunchy onions on top!! Baby!! Bomb 💣 and that rice no one in Torrance can match it! They are newly opened and I hope they continue serving this quality food and the prices are not bad.

I want to start off by saying sushi makes me nervous. I dont like fish and the ones I do Im very picky about. I was really apprehensive about the sushi because it was so many options but I wanted to try something new. OH...MY...GOD!!the sushi was amazing!!. The sushi did not have that typical fishy taste. The roll we had a slight citrus taste with a fresh crunch and it was delicious. Then we had a roll with cream cheese, spicy tuna and crab.The roll came with a sauce on top. Omg it was so good! I want to go back so bad. The prices are a little high but totally worth it. I give it a 10 out of 10. The staff was so nice and I hope this place continues to grow.So please try it yall, it will make a sushi lover out of you!

My girlfriend and I came here and absolutely loved our experience! The atmosphere of the restaurant is so fun and inviting and the wait staff was super attentive and fast. We had our food just minutes after ordering and we were very satisfied with the meal. To top it all off the restaurant staff were so kind when we were leaving. We would absolutely eat here again!

Dined in twice in a couple weeks. Got the toro sashimi once and sushi rolls with both meals. All were fantastic. Beyond the food, the wait staff and owner (Victor) were engaging and attentive. This restaurant has amazing food, great service, and a pleasant atmosphere.

Fantastic service, good food. Fish was very fresh. Slightly on the pricier side for rolls, though we did order some pricier items. I think we ordered a total of 4-5 rolls and 4 or so types of sashimi and 3 thai teas, which came out to be roughly 150 before tip. After tip we spent about 170-180.Some of the rolls were outstanding, some were pretty ordinary.I would def come again though just for the service!

Went to Ueno for the first time last night on the recommendation by a friend. We loved it. The sushi is excellent, huge selection of BIG rolls, sashimi and other dishes. Super friendly service. Decent prices. We drove but will not make that mistake again, they serve saki bombs all evening at no extra cost and make a fun event out of every one, awesome. Get an uber or lift or have a dedicated driver, lol. UENO ROCKS!!!

Came for a weekday lunch—great customer service, food arrived quickly. I prefer traditional style sushi and ordered the Chirashi. It was one of the best I have had. Big portions of fish and great variety. The rice was still warm and my only slight complaint is that it was slightly undercooked such that a few of the grains were still slightly hard but not distractingly so. I also ordered a side of engawa (halibut fin sushi) and it was well prepared with a little truffle oil and other garnish. For those who prefer the more westernized type sushi rolls, they also have those in abundance. I would definitely come back!

I started off woth edamama and a tall hot saki. Had a spicy scallop handroll, could done without the avocado inside. The sashimi combo was good, the fish was fresh but not a very high quality. The combo came with salad, I thought was very good also rice which was fine. The Amaebi was also just okay for the same reason as above. For dessert I had oysters on the half shell, they did not taste that they were fresh.

Weve been here twice already within 1 week and this place has really good sushi. Weve tried the winnie roll, blcr roll, crunchy roll and Dodgers roll. Also tried the chicken karage and egg roll. All of the food were delicious. I especially love the sauces that each roll comes with. Sorry didnt take any photos 😅 because we just devoured it.

They girls at the cashier very rude. I asked for ell sauce and spicy sauce didnt give me any, they wanted to charge me extra when i wanted to pay they refused to take my card. Never coming back I rather drive someone else than to come here. They said my rolls didnt require ell sauce dnt tell me how to eat my rolls if I want sauce i want sauce period . & the cherry on top was my order was supposed to be ready at 5:00pm when I got there at 5:05pm my food wasnt ready when I had already received an email stating it was ready I waited another 20min for it to be ready.
