Great place to get ramen. The noodles are perfect, and the broth is delicious. The only reason I couldnt finish my broth was because I got medium spice, and their spice levels are HOT. If I had known before coming, I probably wouldve gotten light spice instead of medium. I ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen. My boyfriend ordered the Spicy Paitan Ramen and said it was good. The staff was very friendly and happy to answer peoples questions. I would highly recommend coming here.

Amazing! The customer service was fantastic and the food was authentic and delicious. 10/10 recommend 👍🏼 My 3-year-old daughter devoured the ramen and we all loved it too.I got the black garlic ramen and my husband got a spicy tonkotsu ramen, we had kaarage, a beer. I felt like the ramen was priced well (about $15 each before tax) and you got a lot of food for the money.We will definitely be back.

As a Japanese, my standard for Ramen is high. The rich broth, perfect noodle cook time to have firm and chewy texture with high temperature soup is really important.And this place checks all the boxes perfectly. Every time when my coworkers from Japan visits,I take them and every single person feels home and regain their energy. I can say it is one of the best in Northern California. If they come with more soup options, it would be game over!!

Japanese Fast food style restaurant. You first take a number stick before you order your own food at the front counter services area, after that you find your own seats and place your number on the table, server will delivery your food to your table when its ready. They mainly serves with Japanese style raman and curry rice, appetizer..... We came here on Sunday for lunch, place are bright and clean. Not too crowded so we can enjoy our lunch without too much noise. I ordered raman and my friend ordered curry rice, both were tasty and in good portion too. Its a good place to hang out

A family-friendly establishment that provides a delicious ramen and other delicious foods. The wait time is very short, and the food is very delicious. It is not like any other Japanese ramen restaurant. The guest relations is also amazing and wonderful; always having a smile and a greeting when you enter the establishment. It’s also a very great place to have a get together or just have a dinner party.The experience I had can only be had first hand, because it goes above and beyond my expectations.Take out and delivery is also available so you can enjoy the food even at your house, but I would highly recommend dine-in to get the full amazing experience.100% would highly recommend this restaurant.

The first thing I smelled when we walked in was the smell of old rags… The food was DELICIOUS and soooo satisfying. Chicken chashu was bomb. I just think when you’re used to working in a place, you don’t notice the smell. I would hope they’ll wash their rags more often and give everything a good wipe w vinegar, light dish soap, and hot water.Our total was $382 ramen bowls + 2 toppings added (chicken chashu and seaweed)

Umami Ramen is truly one of the best ramen spots that I have ever visited, and I had a fantastic time there with my partner. The food was absolutely delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the vegetable ramen that I ordered. Although I opted to have the bamboo and mushrooms removed from my dish, it was still bursting with flavor and was truly satisfying. My partner also had a great meal and loved the unique flavors in their ramen.Furthermore, the service at Umami Ramen was fantastic. We were happy to find Umami Ramen following a Google Map search. We both appreciate properly prepared Ramen and in two visits devoured bowls of Tonkotsu, Black Garlic Tonkotsu and Shio Ramen. Each serving was at proper temperature with the right noodles and a liberal covering of toppings. The broth was just right but I found adding a teaspoon of soy sauce to the chicken added just the right spark. Wed recommend all three menu items. The restaurant is very nice, roomy, comfortable chairs, nicely appointed, very pleasant. It is a self service restaurant which works very well. Very nice! This was a very good find and we look forward to our next visit.

Great surprise with the black garlic ramen, the squid legs were tasty, kind of had the flavor of the tonkotsu which gave a lot of flavor, the takoyakis were creamy in the inside.

Tucked into a small shopping center on blue Ravine.This location is cursed for restaurants, we will see if they stay.The outside is plain Jane.Parking is limited.Self service ordering and seating.Limited menu.On front door has a sign that says no outside food and if you have small children without an expanded palate, not the best.My favorite was the egg in the ramen.My least favorite was how salty the food was.

My husband and I have been trying a few ramen places around the area, and this one is our favorite so far. The food was amazing, we ordered the Spicy Ramen and the Black Garlic Oil Ramen, both were excellent. There’s not really a rating for service, since you order from the kiosk and your food and drink is simply delivered to you, but the people working there are friendly, none the less. It’s quick, easy, no frills dining, but excellent food. I’ll be going back as soon as I can🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I wish I could give them a better star rating cause the ramen was delicious and I liked it but they sent me my order and seemed to have forgotten my husbands order. It wasnt until we flagged them and said something then his food and our appetizer arrived.Pros: The spicy tonkatsu was really good. I liked the flavor of the broth and how all the toppings were good. I really liked the season egg too and the chashu pork. I thought it tasted great.Chashu pork bowl tasted great! Plenty for one serving.Cons: As mentioned earlier they forgot my husbands bowl. His chashu pork bowl was great though flavor wise.We received the takoyaki late as well and when we did, it was burnt. You can taste it and it wasnt pleasant.It was hard to flag anyone to get a water refill.Overall, ambience is great, food could have been better, service can use some improvement.

Nice place. You have to order your food on the iPad. You kinda get loose because it asks you for your table number, just pick up a number next to the iPad. The Ramen had a look of flavor and it was spicy. The gyoza was crispy 😁. The Chicken Karaage was not that great. But over all it was all about the Ramen!

My favorite ramen place in Folsom! This small ramen shop is legit and I was blown away with the delicious broth & noodle.- black garlic tonkotsu ramen: my favorite! The broth was very hearty and flavorful although it wasn’t as thick as the other ramen. The black garlic flavor was there but I would love a bit more. The thin noodle was firm yet still had a bit of chew and was perfectly cooked. The chasu slices were YUM - tender & not too fatty. The tea egg had a sweet yolk in the center & was cooked perfectly. It was a comforting bowl anytime of the day.- chicken karaage: crispy breading yet the chicken pieces were juicy. The pieces were quite big. It came with spicy mayo but my kid usually requested regular mayo.- katsu curry rice: the curry was just ok. The katsu has crispy breading & tender meat inside. The curry was good but nothing special. The portion was huge and hubby was stuffed by the end of the meal.

This is a solid ramen place, and the first one weve been to in the Sacramento area (coming from Orange County). You can definitely get better value, proportion and quality wise in SoCal, but this place gets it done and is definitely worth trying if you love ramen. Id rate it a 4.5/5 for the area and 3.5/5 for my favorite ramen places.Solid restaurant with a decent modern aesthetic and unique ordering system where you order from kiosk/tablet. No outdoor seating/dining.We got the Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen with an extra side of corn (+1.50). Right off the bat, I could tell its decent ramen. Flavor of the broth is fairly balanced and not too oily while still having a very rich pork broth. We got the spicy flavor, which is moderately spicy, still leaves a burning sensation on the lips.Ingredients tasted pretty fresh (shredded black mushrooms, bamboo shoots, shredded green onions, and bean sprouts). The softboiled egg had a nice gelatinous yolk, but quite a bit on the sweet side. The chashu had a good flavor, although it was slightly dry/tough, but otherwise decent. Noodles had a solid texture but my girlfriend complained it lacked flavor somehow. This was a solid ramen.They gave complimentary green tea ice cream which was actually pretty good and worth a try. It had a hard to describe perfumey flavor that wasnt the same as other green tea ice cream. The texture was more like gelato, soft and creamy, and it wasnt overbearingly sweet. It tasted homemade in a good way (I asked and it isnt). I would order this.

Tried this for the first time today because we were craving curry. Not only did this scratch the itch, but we will be coming back here for more. I LOVE this ramen place. My favorite is the garlic tonkatsu ramen. I always get extra ramen eggs. Those eggs are perfect. Soft boiled (not hard boiled) with delicious jammy centers, perfectly seasoned. The staff is always friendly. The mochi ice cream and the takoyaki are also awesome. Now I dont have to go all the way to Sacramento for a decent bowl of ramen.

A gem hidden in Folsom. If youre a Ramen enthusiasts, this place is a must try. The only regret is olnot trying it. Ive had many bowls of ramen in Sacramento and this has got to be my favorite. May not be the traditional ramen shop youre used to, but dont let that fool you.

Its easily the best Geso(fried squid) Ive had in a long time.Light breading, firm squid, not chewy... all of it was perfect. We just got back from Japan a week ago, and have been searching for authentic Japanese ramen noodles, and WOW we found it! We ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen, black garlic oil ramen, and takiyaki which was delicious and tasted just like Japan. We miss it so much that this meal made both my heart and tummy so happy. Also, we spoke with the owners friend who was running the restaurant, and he said the owner was in Japan which makes sense as to why this food tasted SOOOOOO good and traditional. This is our new spot and we are coming back tomorrow night for sure. Everyone please rate this 5 stars and meals only start at $15. + it’s clean and they sell HOT sake, kirin ichiban. I tried the chicken curry Katsu, curry was great, katsu was a bit thin overall better than other ramen spots have done on the curry front. I also tried the chicken shio ramen and it did not disappoint. I’ve yet to get chicken ramen I would order again (it’s hard to beat a good pork broth) but both items were a nice option if you don’t want pork.

Been wanting to try out this place since they first opened. Folsom has been getting a lot of new restaurants and they have definitely been on par. The style of this place is very interesting, you would order on your own, grab a number and then grab a table. This is true unless you come with a party of 6 or more, which luckily wasn’t my case. When we received our ramen, you can smell the aroma of the broth already. And once that first sip was taken, you know you are about to enjoy some amazing ramen. Personally, I got the spicy tonkotsu and it was very flavorful. I almost never finish the broth, but I managed to finished a majority of it. This is definitely one of the tops ramen places I have tried and for sure the best ramen in Folsom!

My husbands shio Raman was a lighter broth, and more delicate but still delicious flavor.The decore is artistic. I got the regular tonkotsu here, and it was great. Loved the broth and the toppings here; they give a very nice texture for the ramen. I thought I wouldnt like the thin noodles at first, but it works well with a lighter flavour broth. The food came out in a timely manner as well. Wonderful. I just went for the first time. We had Black Garlic Tonkotsu with thin noodles, and Spicy Miso with thick noodles. Both had rich, super flavorful, moan inducing broths. The pork and a hardboiled egg each had a surprising depth of flavor.My only complaint is the ordering on touchscreens, but only because ive never done it before. No one seemed to have trouble. The place was fairly busy, but the cooks were clearly waiting for people to complete their orders, so they could produce something. This speaks to their quickness, and attentiveness. As we waited to order, one of the cooks came out and called us to a third register, where he took our order.While we waited, we watched the World Cup, Spain vs Germany, tied 1-1, with 6 minutes to go. Our order was ready before the match completed.

Great tasting ramen thats currently as close to authentic Japanese as you can find in the Folsom area. If you want some tasty ramen, its worth the short drive.You can order via a screen to get ramen, appetizers, and drinks (water is free but you need to order it). If you need to make changes (for ex. thick noodles instead of thin), just ask one of the friendly staff.Weve tried the veggie, black garlic, and spicy tonkotsu along with karaage and ika geso. The ramen were all good and veggie was surprisingly tasty! The black garlic could have used more flavor if youre used to Kumamoto-style ramen. The spicy tonkotsu was tasty as well and the temperature was better than the black garlic ramen which was not served piping hot.The appetizers are great - the karaage tastes very authentic and the ika geso is light and crispy. The kids made us get a second order!Friendly staff, clean place, great tasing food!

A wonderful new ramen establishment in the Sacramento area! My party ordered the gyoza (wonderfully crispy) and Tonkotsu, Black Garlic Tonkotsu, and Spicy Tonkotsu ramens. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The Tonkotsu broth is incredibly smooth and not overly salty. The egg is sweeter than most places (tastes like mirin), but was highly enjoyable. The pork had great flavor and they were not stingy with any of the other toppings. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is fabulous (kind and amazingly quick service). Ordering from the touchpad is an introverts dream and very simple to use. We will definitely be back!

Just went there today and I am a fan. I had the original Tonkotsu ramen. The broth is wonderful and thats the key to a good ramen I was able to order quickly off an iPad system and easily able to customize my food (I hate wood ear mushrooms). The pork belly was great as was the boiled egg. The noodles were thinner than I prefer but they were cooked perfectly. Its right off the bike trail so this will become my go-to lunch spot after a long ride.

I wish they have options of different types of noodles (thin, regular, thick) and normal or chewy to choose from. We got the chicken appetizer and it was great! I highly recommend this place to ramen lovers.To owner/management: I think your customers will love it more if they can choose type of noodle (thin, normal, thick) and noodle texture (normal or chewy). This is similar to Nagi and other popular ramen shops in the Bay Area. Each person has a different taste and how they like their noodle. This will be a big plus, trust me.

We were visiting in Sacramento and found this new ramen place. Where to start, the minute we walked in, we were greeted very warmly. The server was very friendly, explained the menu in details. Stopped in to order for take out. They offer self ordering on tablets which was very easy to use. We ordered the Black Garlic Ramen and the Tonkatsu Ramen both full of flavor filling. We also got the Geso, basically calamari, I would definitely order that again. The to go order came out in less than 20 min despite a good amount of people in the restuarant and the staff was so thoughtful stepping out of the restuarant to wave me down when it was ready.
