2023-11-22 01:23:37Uncle Fung provides a casual dining experience inspired by a street vendor. The Cornish Game Hen was very tender and flavorful. Their Char Sui was also very tasty in the stir fried noodle dishes. Two entrees came up to around $30 and the portion size was perfect for a quick bite for lunch.

2023-09-10 02:33:57Very nice Malaysian food that is rare to find. Long Beach outpost is adding to the local diversity. Food is tasty and come out quick and fresh. Strip mall setting makes the atmosphere generic and is a disservice to great food. A small effort in decorating would enhance the experience a lot. Do not come here for the ambience but for the food and you will not be disappointed.

2023-07-03 22:50:58We absolutely loved our meal at Uncle Fungs Borneo restaurant. The place is colorful and lively, and the service was excellent. We both ordered the Borneo rice plate, and it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The rice plate had a fragrant coconut rice with a spicy curry sauce, chicken, beef, sausage, egg, and vegetables. The flavors were complex and balanced, and the portions were huge. I also liked the complimentary soup that came with the meal. It was a feast for the senses and the stomach. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try something different and delicious. 5/5 stars.

2023-06-23 19:25:39Uncle Fung opened since 1975. It was closed due to Covid. Now reopens. The food was very authentic Malaysian/Indonesian/Singaporean, basically Southeast Asian.Good tasting, good spices, BUT too salty!!!!We told the serving staff, and he responded very positively to notifying the cooks. Very polite servers.Nasi Lamak was very good, except you need to order the one you like - 2 selections.Laksa was very good.I only give 4* as the highest rating. No one gets 5*- because no one is perfect, only Christ.Try Uncle Fung, youll like it.

2023-08-20 21:06:37If all Indonesian food tastes like this, then it’s my new favorite cuisine. Best chicken satay I’ve ever had, fried chicken was moist, noodles were bouncy and packed with flavor. Everything felt so professional and higher class than the restaurant front and prices have you believe. Exceeded our expectations. The servers were also extremely welcoming and kind. Will be returning!!

2022-05-02 05:45:44If youre craving Malaysian food this is a great spot to visit! Small menu which makes it easier to select what you like and since they focus on making only a select amount of dishes each one is a much higher quality because they are able to focus on ensuring it is flavorful and well made instead of having a ton on the menu but mediocre.I enjoyed the Roti Prata! It was so hot and fresh and the curry sauce to dip it in was coconuty and flavorful! The chicken satay was so crisy on the outside while softer on the inside. The peanut sauce paired so well with it!The coconut rice was delicious. I wish it was more coconut flavor to it but I liked it. The #4 Laksa Mee was so delicious like ramen but curry style. It went well with the coconut rice and the taste was so unique! The portions of food were fantastic for the price.I highly reccomend this restaurant after a long day at the beach. Your taste buds will be so happy plus there are plenty of dessert options near the restaurant around the plaza it is nestled in!

2023-07-23 01:18:58Summary: delicious food, friendly staff, would come backHaving visited Uncle Fung Borneo Eatery on multiple occasions, I can confidently say it has become one of my go-to places, and my absolute favorite dish there is the #19 Borneo Rice Plate. This dish consists of fragrant coconut rice, sliced Chinese BBQ, crispy fried chicken, and a marinated egg - a truly mouthwatering combination. Whats even better is that the portion size is quite generous.Their website offers the convenience of online orders, and they even have a rewards program in place, which is a nice touch. However, its worth noting that they do charge a convenient fee for this service. One thing to keep in mind is that lunchtime can get pretty busy at Uncle Fung Borneo Eatery, so its advisable to plan accordingly and possibly expect a bit of a wait. Additionally, parking can be a bit challenging due to limited spaces.

2022-11-16 03:18:21No frills spot, fast & very friendly service. This restaurant has an amazing roti prata with curry. Highly recommend their hokkian mee, which consists of egg noodles, chicken soy, and bomb BBQ pork. It comes with a side soup which is perfect for a chilly night.

2023-12-02 21:17:239 dollars for only two pieces of parata was not worth it, bathroom did not work at all, service was okay, food was decent. It could use a lot of working out on, first and last time trying out this place.

2021-05-28 20:23:12Delicious food, reasonably priced, good location, easy to get to, Covid precautions in place for dine-in, tables spaced out and cleaned thoroughly between guests. Great music to enjoy while waiting. Exceptional customer service, authentic Indonesian-Malaysian cuisine prepared while you wait! We came straight from the airport for lunch Uncle Fung did not disappoint. Will definitely be back. Dont miss the items pictured below.
