I only ordered beef chow mein. It was ridiculously huge for one person. Id rather have the option to order half the portion. The food arrived hot but overall, it lacked flavor.

I just had a delightful meal from Uncle Yu Restaurant. I purchased, Seseme Balls and combo. Pan fried noodles. The noodles dish was served with the meat sauce separate from the noodles. A nice touch, allowing a much fresher meal when I got to my motel. The Seseme Balls warm and fresh. If Im in the area again Ill stop by for more.

First of all, if you’re hungry, the portions are huge, witch is good. Good quality ingredients, on the healthy side. Eco friendly packaging for take away.

Almost every single time I order on the phone my order is never REPEATED back to me for confirmation. I sometimes have to constantly repeat myself to make sure they heard me right and I all get back in response is a “yea, okay anything else”. And when I pick up I have to repeat the order back to them again. Would be much more simpler if you got names down for pick up orders because I have had someone else take my order before and I have had missing items as well.

Delicious! Just ordered and, while I’m still eating it, their hot and sour soup is great!!! I even called them one time to give complements to the chef about how yummy they make it. All of the food is made perfectly and I can’t be happier. If I had to say anything negative at all it’s just that I wish the Door Dash app for them would give options about customizing the dishes... like if I could make the soup even better I would ask for more meat(even though the amount they give is normal and fine) and I would also ask, as an option, to be able to make it even spicier(but without adding more seeds)... the seeds are my only peeve, but I understand, they have to be added, just saying you can spice it up super easy with just a little super-hot hot sauce like Dave’s Insanity Sauce(which is what I mix with apple cider vinegar(2 parts vinegar 1 part hot sauce))... makes it even better! Love this restaurant!

I recently moved to the East Bay and have been craving some oily Chinese food that I used to find in the Peninsula. Someone on Next door recommended Uncle Yu, and damn. Im happy they did. Ive been here three times in the last two months. Their portions are huge, food is made fresh and fast, and prices are very reasonable.I recommend the Orange Chicken, char Sui chow mein, and the beef chow fun.

I’m from east coast and no one makes shrimp egg foo young right but this place! It’s so delicious. Don’t go anywhere else to get it I swear it ain’t the same. I need my gravy separate from the eggs, and I want the vegetables mixed with the egg… Food is delicious! I found my go to Chinese restaurant! Finally

I really enjoy Uncle Yus food, but it is so much food! You really do get what you pay for. I got literally over 3 lbs of fried rice for 10$ but its the only size they have. Its 10,000 times than Panda Express. I always end up paying around 60$ for four items...that will last me and my guy almost 3 days. I just wish they had a dinner meal or lunch special to enjoy their tasty tasty food on one plate!

Our second order from this restaurant and pretty much everything that we ordered and liked the first time came out to be tasteless this time. The salt and pepper chicken was over fried and didn’t have neither spices that are in its name. The szechuan chicken was sweet, really sweet. No flavors in the rice and chow mein as well. Wouldn’t recommend as it’s not consistent. One good thing is that their portion sizes are huge.

The orange chicken is excellent. We also had the prawns with lobster sauce which was very tasty. The salt and pepper pork chops was tender and tasty. The portions are large and the price is reasonable. Will definitely go back again.

Yesterday my son called and placed an order for delivery. Our food arrived sooner than expected which made us very happy, the delivery girl was so nice and happy exactly whats needed during these hard times. Wonton shrimp soup was delicious, fried rice and teriyaki chicken yummy!. My family and I are very pleased with the service provided and please everyone support family businesses, they have been our favorite spots lets lets continue giving business.

Cant speak to how it is for dining in, but everything I got for takeout was good. Nothing surprised me with how good it was but I wasnt at all disappointed, which is all I look for in takeout chinese! Noting too greasy, none of the meat was gross, and it wasnt too sweet. I think Ive found my go to!Gets better the second day!

I have been here twice and order to go once, I would say the food is definitely below par; its either too salty or oily. The beef fried rice was OK (not good, but OK), Mongolian beef was too salty, orange chicken tasted like they were submerged in some sort of oil even with sauce on top. The service was decent however and the restaurant was close to where I work, and they usually arent too busy even at lunch time.

Fried rice with roasted duck yumm yumm i must be hungry. I think this is a family business. The two sister and family are very polite. I remember I ask one time while the family is preparing some chess dumpling and they give some sample to me to taste it and omg it was very good but that was only appetizier I still eat my main dish roasted duck with fried rice.

I love the Kung Pao Chicken here! I have ordered food from here 4 times already. Their Kung Pao Chicken is the best around. I have tried their Mongolian beef and shrimp fried rice also and they are tasty. Their food always hits the spot.

This is best tasting food in the area ...I travel from hayward to get a taste of their deliciousness ... I eat at Uncle Yu at 3 to 4 times a month ... The staff is kind nda and friendly ..Uncle Yu also has great covid-19 precautions in place .Stop by and place an order, call in an order or order online just make sure you give it a try .

Ok so Im out of town from NJ and was struggling to find similar chinese food like on the East. This place is amazing!!!!! The foods incredible. The service came quick and the delivery guy had excellent customer service!!! If you have a taste 4 this type of food you need Uncle Yuuuuuuuuu!!!!ohhhh and definitely order fried chicken wings....
