2023-10-19 21:58:44Uovo is a dream come true for pasta lovers and purists of Italian cuisine. They import their goods like the pasta and dough from Italy daily because the eggs & other ingredients contribute to the the taste, texture, and overall experience of eating authentic regional food you can’t get anywhere else. With a family of four we did the two different tastings and it was just an overall lovely dinner. Be prepared to wait for seats and i do recommend eating at the counter so you can see how everything is prepared including the pasta that is finished off in the cheese wheel. Would love to come back.

2023-09-30 05:19:52If you’re looking for some authentic Italian pasta, you’re not gonna get any better than UOVO! This new restaurant is located in a three-story, central courtyard, mix use retail, office and restaurants located towards the middle of the Lake Street Shopping district.Plenty of off-site and street parking. After your nice Italian meal, you can walk through the shopping district to burn off all the calories, you just consumed and do some window shopping…See the attached pictures for the various meals that our group ate. All of it was very delicious and satisfying. We ate outside in the patio area enjoying the cozy feelings of the night. I would say it’s a dining experience that everyone would enjoy.

2023-10-10 06:13:36Portions were decently sized for sharing. We (2) didn’t want to over-order too many dishes so we started with two. Ended up ordering a third because we were still hungry and wanted to try more. The fresh pasta was delicious and the sauces were all great. Ricotta Ravioli was so soft and delicate.

2023-10-17 11:03:23I have to say our waiter Caleb was absolutely phenomenal. Very attentive and knowledgeable. Checked on us consistently and had a great demeanor Came here with my gf when sugarfish was too long of a wait. Had a fantastic meal. The tasting menu was wonderful. Every pasta was delicious, and the tiramisu was decadent and rich. Would definitely come back and would love to be served by Caleb again, he made the meal just that much better!

2023-11-17 23:16:41UOVO is just sublime. I decided to come here solo because it can be a rather long wait to get seated with even a smaller party. Going on a week day after lunch hours helped me snag a seat at the counter rather quickly. I ordered the cacio e pepe, funghi and tiramisu. The Sauvignon Blanc was perfectly crisp and paired well with the dishes. Seeing the pasta, which is imported from Italy, made fresh in front of you was such a treat. Definitely coming back!

2023-09-25 01:29:52Uovo in Pasadena is a delightful addition to the growing chain of restaurants that specialize in handmade Italian pasta. The fact that all their pasta is crafted daily in Bologna, Italy, and then transported to Los Angeles is a testament to their commitment to authenticity. Whats even more impressive is that they keep their prices under $20, making it accessible to a wide range of diners.During our visit on a Sunday after church for lunch, we had the pleasure of trying their cheese wheel cacio e pepe and the ravioli, both of which were nothing short of delectable. The pasta had that perfect, unmistakable homemade texture, and the seasoning was spot on. Its evident that the chefs at Uovo take pride in their craft. The service was impeccable, and our waiter was exceptionally knowledgeable about the dishes and their ingredients, enhancing the overall dining experience. As for the ambiance, it truly felt like we had been transported to Italy, with an atmosphere that added to the authenticity of the meal. One noteworthy mention is their trio of five-course set menus priced under $40 per person, ideal for parties of two. This option seems like a fantastic deal for those looking to explore a variety of flavors in one sitting. With its fifth location in Pasadena, Uovo continues to impress with its dedication to quality and authenticity. Were definitely planning to return to sample their tasting menu, which we believe will be the best way to savor more of their delicious offerings. Uovo Pasadena is a gem for Italian food lovers in LA.

2023-09-10 20:31:05We heard about this restaurant through Jenn Im’s vlog and we were so excited to try it out! We got the cheese and truffle tasting menu and they did not fail to impress our taste buds! I am in love with the mix of subtle flavors that combine excellently together. One of the best pasta we ever had! We also got the battuta di carne, amazing!! I only wish this restaurant offered bread because their sauces are stunning and I wish I had something to help finish the leftover sauce.

2023-09-14 15:15:43My wife is in love with Jen Im, so when she saw Jens vlog review of Uovo, I knew that we would have to go.Uovo has their pastas overnight shipped from Italy and cooked up next day. Idk if this truly makes a difference, but the pasta has a wonderful texture with good bite, so theyre definitely doing something right! We tried their cheese and truffle tasting menu, and threw on their wagyu tartar and another pasta for kicks. The pasta sauces were incredibly savory and nuanced. The wagyu/ cheese combo was awesome. Our servers were also wonderful.

2023-10-15 19:58:51There are restaurants where you have a meal, then there are those rare ones where you have “an experience”. Ouvo fits into the latter category. From the soft wood aesthetics to the open kitchen to the bar style dining it’s got a wonderful vibe. Make sure to try the tuna carpaccio- it’s a great starter, both light and refreshing. I had the Arrabiata and my sweetie had the linguine and clam sauce. We finished with one of their Tiramisu cups which hit the spot. Now that the Pasadena location is open we will be regulars and they will soon greet us by our first name.
