I have visited Up 2u Thai Eatery a couple of times and its always a delightful place to dine in with friends and family.The owner/server was always greeting us with a warm welcome. The food came out fast and the flavor is always on point and mouthwatering.

My favorite Thai place!! Amazing fresh spring rolls and curries with plenty of vegetarian options.Their spring rolls are beautiful with beet spirals and big chunks of avocado.The curry is flavorful with delicious veggies and tofu. Peanut sauce is also really good!Only downside is the to go containers are very wasteful. I get they are reusable but I see people throw them out all the time. Cardboard to go boxes would be more sustainable.

Ordered them for delivery. It turns out they actually have free delivery for people in alameda (though I’m in west oak). The food is very delicious. I got the noodle in Thai spicy so I’m dying a little bit but the texture and taste is excellent. The curry I got in spicy and also tastes amazing. Mango is awesome and ripe. Great experience for my taste buds.

I decided to try Up 2U Thai Eatery that I found on Yelp as Monkey Thai which is my usual Thai place in Alameda has been jacking up prices and dropping the quality of food with each passing day. Up 2U Thai Eatery had a reasonable 3.5 stars rating so I felt that it would at-least be on par with Monkey Thai. It is located at the end of Webster street so you will have to find street parking which is tough as the entire stretch of Webster street is full of shops and restaurants.After going through the menu, I decided to get the Khow Soi ($12) to-go. I had to pay cash as they have a minimum to use credit cards that I did not hit. After ordering it was a short 10-minute wait and I was on my way.I got two plastic containers one for the broth and the other for the noodles. The broth tasted flat and needed more seasoning and spices. The quantity of noodles was very small and most of the container was full of cabbage or maybe it was lettuce. Overall this was one poor dish.Price wise it was exactly same as what you would pay for a similar dish in any other Thai restaurant in Alameda but the quality was just not there. Im going to stick with Monkey Thai as even after the drop in quality, it is still better than Up 2U Thai Eatery in my opinion.

Quiet and artistic atmosphere. Beautiful Thai artwork on wall. Food quality was fresh, especially the basil. Not much of a wait..Handicapped accessible. Budget friendly, good portions.

Dont believe these old reviews, the most flavorless and dry pad see ew Ive ever eaten. Three bites and i tossed it in the trash. The change of ownership ruined this place, another Alameda classic gone to rubbish.

We are so sad and disappointed. This was our favorite Thai restaurant for over 10 years. We ordered so regularly that they knew us by name and occasionally called to confirm my order when I screwed up online. The food was always delicious and flavorful. Even throughout the pandemic their quality was great. They closed several months ago saying there was a change of ownership and then they recently reopened. We ordered last night and the food was completely inedible. Chicken was rubbery and tasted bitter like it was covered in nothing but lime juice. The MooYang was pretty much the same. The fried rice was awful. Everything tasted like lime and cilantro. Even the peanut sauce had a weird texture and taste. We couldn’t get through 3 bites of anything and ended up throwing all the food away. The entire $60 order went into the compost bin. We are so sad to lose yet another Alameda restaurant.

Amazing Thai food! We were accompanied by former Thai restaurant owners who thoroughly enjoyed the food offered! The Pad Thai, and chicken satay were amazing. Our kids enjoyed the sticky rice, roti and fried banana. Up 2U Thai is an amazing local restaurant!!

I’ve been going to this restaurant for 6+ years, eating inside and getting takeout. Saw that the ownership changed, they remodeled the inside and the menu is slightly different. Got my favorites—spring rolls and pad see ew and everything was super good and not too expensive (for the area)! Was glad the quality of the food stayed the same if not better, and the service was very attentive and friendly!

Have never eaten dine-in here, but we order/pick up all the time. The folks that own the place are super friendly, and accommodating. The food is amazing, and always has that great wok taste that you expect from food cooked over a high flame. Use caution when ordering your spice level though, the difference between extra spicy and Thai spicy can vary sometimes. All that aside, its one of the best Thai places Ive been to, and a constant go-to for us.

Among the best Thai food I have ever eaten. Definitely the best Satay I have ever tasted. Very good service, but if you are have a large party, I would call ahead as, like many places these days, they seem to staff lean.

The wings from here are magic. I highly recommend them as a starter to share, you may need two orders! This is a place I wish had longer hours, especially inside. I havent eaten there IRL yet, but the food travels well so I imagine eating it there would be quite a treat. Consistent, quality, and a nice range of items.

We ordered their lunch special, heads up to everyone it’s now $18. It was still worth the price, we ordered pad Thai and it’s legit “Pad Thai”. Also got their Thai green curry, which was also delicious! Lastly we ordered their crispy pancakes with condensed milk, the perfect dessert after our Thai lunch. It was light and perfect balance of sweetness.

My new favorite Thai place in Alameda. Everything Ive tried so far has been delicious. It makes for gourmet leftovers because the portions are beyond what I could eat.Also, spice level is accurate. Ordering hot does give the 😅🍴spice sweats. Mild is a touch of interest.

Ive ordered from here a bunch of times and am never disappointed. In fact, every time I say how I need to order from here more often! First of all, they offer online ordering which Im a huge fan of. And if you add special instructions they always read them and do it right. The delivery is always within the window they give you. And best of all, the food is delicious.You can tell the food is fresh and prepared well. It doesnt seem overly greasy or oily (which Asian food can) and the vegetables always smell great and still have crunch to them.You must order the fresh spring rolls. They are to die for. Super fresh ingredients and the best sauces ever to accompany them. If you like things spicy then you wont be upset with medium. It has great kick and would maybe be too much for people who are expecting medium to be mild.

Disappointed. I USE to order from these guys weekly. Until they now charge $3 for extra vegetables. Yeah, 3 bucks. They charge $1 for beef and nothing for tofu and $4 for seafood and they wanted to charge me $3 for extra vegetables. Were talking extra scraps of broccoli and carrots. Were not talking Kai Lan or anything close to fancy. Can you believe that?! You ever feel like your being charged more because a business just really doesnt want to be bothered. As if charging more would deter me from asking. It totally turned me off. With as much as I routinely purchased from this restaurant I was shocked. Best of luck to them going forward. Im good. Im takin care of much better at other restaurants I frequent weekly.

I had the Pad Thai. There was nothing wrong with it, but Ive been spoiled in recent years by quite excellent Thai food. Because of this, Ill give 4 stars. Maybe my only gripe was that it wasnt hotter...in both temperature and spiciness.

Ive never dined at this establishment, so this review is just based on their takeout.With that being said, its a decent takeout/delivery option for an affordable price!I enjoy the duck fried rice. Its a tad on the greasy side, but tasty and a hefty portion.Dont forget the Thai ice tea!!!!

Ordered delivery, the pad Thai is really solid. Ive had predominantly disappointingly bland pad Thai since I moved to the Bay area but this was on point. The acidity of the tamarind was balanced with the right amount of sweetness and the chai po really put it over the top (too many places around here leave it out). The fried tofu was a little different from the extra firm standard but I actually preferred this texture.

I need to come to Alameda more often. There seems to be a lot to really good places to grab a bite to eat here, and its a shame Im not in this area all that often. This Thai spot in Alameda is no exception. Definitely some of the better Thai food that Ive had.The restaurant itself, visually, is clean and appealing. The environs, though not attempting to be anything overly stylish, are refreshing. Tables, seats, and decorations are simple. Things have a visually balanced feel to them. A very comfortable spot.A friendly waitress had us seated quickly, menus, place settings, and all. We ordered the grilled chicken, grilled beef, crispy chicken salad, pineapple shrimp curry, and fried calamari as at appetizer. A few moments after our order was taken, plates and house salad were brought out. A tasty simple salad to get things started, but awesome that this started things off. A few minutes more and our food came out. The salad was flavorful, the grilled chicken and beef were tender as well as juicy, and even the fried calamari was on point. I couldnt stop eating that calamari, in fact. The food here is definitely on the top notch side.Great food, fast friendly service, and a really nice restaurant all in all. Im a fan for sure. Again, I really need to start hitting up Alameda more

Favorite thai spot on the island. Fresh spring rolls are incredible with the peanut sauce and spicy avocado sauce. My fav vegetarian items are: spicy eggplant, pad thai, curry noodle soup (spicy and make sure to say no fish sauce if youre veg), coconut rice. Everything we order we love and the servers are always great.

Theres plenty of good things to go around at Up 2U. Some of my personal favorites are the coconut shrimp appetizer (which is secretly a delicious salad with lime dressing) and the pad see ew. Its also nice to go with a group and order several dishes to share. The service is generally very good, though getting the final check can sometimes take a bit of time. Still, for the price and variety, you cant beat it!

Roach curry with no apology. We had a few dishes delivered to us via Eat24. To be fair, everything tasted amazing but things took a turn for the worse when my wife had a crunchier than usual bite and spit out a large (as big as the pieces of chicken) roach.Now that alone would not warrant a one star review because stuff happens but their response did. I called them and not only did they not apologize, but they really didnt seem to care. They asked for my address and told me they would send out another order. It never came.Maybe roaches in their Curry is just normal, not sure.

The food here is good. But the primary reason Im writing a review is because this listing is messed up: there is no Thai Place anymore, it changed hands and is now named Up2U Thai. Its still a Thai restaurant obviously and, with the same address and phone number. But I thought it important to point out the two year old bad review shouldnt scare people off from the new place. The review predates the current restaurant.
