There are always a lot of people, but the staff are nice, and waiting while looking at the items on display and the menu is not boring. The atmosphere is cozy and clean, and there is a good self-service bar. The food has a variety of options and is delicious. Ive visited Urban Plate in Long Beach. That place wasnt great, but this place was perfect.

We found this restaurant looking on google maps and as soon as me and my boyfriend got there we loved the atmosphere and we loved that there was out door seating. I got the Grilled Sustainable Salmon, with Mac and cheese, and with fries on the side, my boyfriend got the Nashville Hot Tender Sandwich, and the food was great, we will definitely be coming back to the restaurant

My family comes here about once a week, however the food and atmosphere are just average. The service, on the other hand is always 5 star. We typically come in at dinner time so the cashier we interact with the most is Evelyn. Evelyn is one of the nicest servers Ive interacted with. Shes always patient and quite accommodating for ordering, asking for additional assistance, or if something was missing from our food. As for the food, the food is neither really good or bad. The quality can vary based on each visit, such as today, where the steak was quite chewy.

Amazing spot just off of Valencia and Imperial hwy. Not only are you able to eat in a beautiful modern rustic building, the food they have is top tier. Very reasonable prices and very high quality. They say everything is made in-house, and it shows. Definitely would recommend it. Francisco was very helpful and not only took our dishes and trash, he also offered some free cookies (freshly baked in their kitchen) on the house. Tons of seating indoor and outdoor. You can also skip the line and order with their app by scanning the QR code on the table. Great place to check out!

I have been to Urban Plates at the Brea location many times and it is always so good with great customer service. The food is well prepared, fresh and delicious. This time we were there on Thanksgiving and the food was delicious with great customer service, especially from Francisco who checked in on us several times and took away some of the plates when my kids were done before me. It was great food with great customer service, even on Thanksgiving night.

Homemade dinner hit the spot. Enjoyed the Salmon plate with rice and fruit. Was able to Order from one of the cashiers after a few minutes as the place was getting busy. The cashier was quick and polite. The meal was delivered quickly after sitting down. The table was sticky and the serve yourself water was warm and spill bucket full. A little ice for the water would have been nice. A great place for a super quick healthy sit down meal.

Im a plate pass member. I get food from here all the time. Theyre consistently messing up my order its really unbelievable. Maybe 25% of the time, something is wrong with my order. For example, soup is missing (this happens a lot), wrong salad, steak is raw, single cheeseburger instead of double or one of the sides is wrong/missing. These are all things that annoy the heck out of me but I continue to go back because its convenient. I ordered from other locations and it still happens to me. Maybe its just my bad luck. But I am really at the end of my patience with this place. Also, the portions on the salads have diminished considerably. The other annoying thing is that they staple your bag, making it difficult to check the order. When I complain over the phone, they are nice, but Im not getting back in my car and driving back for something. So frustrating.

We couldnt have chosen a better place for dinner at the end of a long day of moving. This was our first time at Urban Plates.A very nice blend of healthy choices. We ordered the Ahi Tuna plate and the Chicken Fingers plate and both were very good. The 4 sides we chose between the two plates were Roasted Rosemary potatoes, Brussel sprouts, Mac n Cheese and Asparagus. The only one that didnt impress was the Mac-n-Cheese. We also ordered a slice of the chocolate vanilla cake and were ok with it. Oh and we loved the slice of thick, toasted, rustic bread that comes with the plates..yumm. Excellent food, just right portions and great ambience. Will be one of our goto places in our new neighborhood!!

3.5 stars. Braised chicken was pretty bland but the chicken was cooked well and was not chewy. The tofu braised curry was better but both the dishes had rice already mixed in as rhe photo shows and since we got delivery, it was pretty soggy in the bottom. We dont want eat much rice so that wasnt great. Mac and cheese was good for the kid with nice cheese.

Went for lunch on Friday afternoon around 2, it was perfect, we missed the lunch time rush.I got the chimichurri steak, which is perfectly cooked. It came with mashed potatoes and I chose Mac and cheese as my side. I didnt love the Mac and cheese, next time Ill get the rosemary potatoes which my son got and tasted amazing. Overall the place was yummy, spacious and the portion size was perfect. Ill be back

The food is really high quality for a counter serve restaurant, but is priced accordingly. I choose to eat here over other sit down restaurants in the same price range because the options are both nutritious and delicious. The service fee added to each check pays employee health benefits. Happy to see they take care of their employees. For the most part the service is above average. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired, but it does not stop me from returning. The website for ordering take out is a bit finicky, but much cheaper than ordering through third parties.

Spacious Urban Eats. They have a 10 dollar dinner item that is typically tasty and filling. I got Beef with Rice and Moms got the Chicken with veggies and Quinoa plate. Their was so many choices to sit, either inside or outside. Clean all around,They have a water station and plenty of help yourself condiments. Rest rooms for guests. Love it.My favorite dish is the Grass Fed Chimichurri Steak, and Wild Salmon. Both dishes are great with veggies and potatoes.Since Covid hit, the experience went from cafeteria style, to a nice order and sit down service. This location truly adapted well to the Covid regulations, and I feel safe dining here.With these new changes, comes new delicious dishes! They raised the prices for the plate pass (it used to be about $12 for any dish but that is now only 20% off). They also add a mandatory service fee so customers can cover the cost of their employees healthcare which is deceptive since you’re really paying more than the advertised price. If the company is too greedy to pay their employees health insurance and take from customers to cover it is it really worth it for me to support this business?Their food is also hit or miss and it depends on the chef that day. More misses than hits. Often the food is barely edible because it’s burnt (the brussel sprouts) or way too salty (most of the bowls). I got sick from a nicoise tuna salad here and their salads are boring. I had a caesar salad from here not too long ago and that night the dressing was NASTY.. it tasted overly fishy, texture was weird like lumpy and it was missing a few things. I didn’t eat it after noticing the smell and that the tiny amount I tasted wasn’t right (yum a dry salad without dressing) and my partner agreed it was way off. It’s a hassle to go back in and wait for a replacement.They took away the good vegan and vegetarian options like the quinoa loaf, cauliflower rice, thai curry and others I can’t remember then replaced them with gross ones. There’s also less vegetarian entrees overall which is odd (one option they recommend is building a plate of side vegetables LOL). I do like that their chicken is high quality, they have good service overall and they’re open later.I’m addition to burning and over seasoning the food, this location also messes up to go orders quite a bit. This used to be my favorite location but the last 6 months or so things are often missing or wrong. It seems some of the workers just don’t pay attention. Also, more than a few times, they’ve given me something I didn’t order that I suspect is a replacement because they ran out of what I wanted. The thing is, if that’s the case, they should ask the customer what they prefer since sometimes a customer doesn’t like or can’t eat the replacement. Not a fan of this bait-and-switch.My partner likes this place but thankfully we live in SoCal and have a ton of options in addition to different grocery stores close by to prepare our own food. This place used to be a good value but it isn’t anymore so we won’t be coming nearly as much.

Ive never eaten at UP until a few months ago and now my family and I dine there regularly - at least twice a month!Location is great especially if we need a quick, healthy meal after shopping at Whole Foods. Plenty seating indoor and outside (covered patios). Self-service style as far as getting your utensils, napkins, condiments, etc.. A very friendly team member will bring the food to you if youre dining in or youll hear your name called by one of the speedy, efficient team members manning the to-go station. EVERYONE is so friendly and by everyone, I mean EVERYONE! But I do have to give a special shout out to ERIN who has helped me on multiple occasions and was so quick to remedy an issue I encountered with a previous to-go order. This place is superb. Everybody talks about it from my work but did not know that it is a healthy organic restaurant. had I known that I definitely would have came here sooner. The food is outstandingly delicious, the price is reasonable for organic food. I had the grass fed beef with their mashed potatoes and roasted carrots & beets. They serve you rustic toasted bread which is really good and crunchy. The menu is very simple and very beautiful, I wanted to order everything. Restaurant quality food without the waiter. Ordering for the first time is a bit confusing but makes a lot of sense afterwards. I ordered the chicken plate and it was cooked really well. I wished they have a little more chicken but at least it was juicy. I would recommend also trying the pizzettes. Its a flatbread pizza for only $5.50. The decor was really nice and aesthetically pleasing.

I got the chimichurri steak, although the steak was tender there was a lot of connective tissue so it was difficult to swallow the meat. For the small portion of meat they give you for the price point, I would think they’d up their quality of flank steak, but sadly that isn’t the case.

I have since been to Urban Plate two more times at two other locations and today is Friday. I loved the Seared Ahi Tuna. It is sushi grade and a nice portion size. They add a little sea salt on the top that just does me right! Broccolini was cooked just right and the Old Bay Potatoes were fine. I say fine because my next visit to Urban Plate I got the Organic Mashed Potatoes and omgah-- I can eat those over and over again!I personally enjoy the walk up and order style and they bring you your food and thats it. Just ordered my blue cheese stake for pick up. This is the second time I have ordered it for pick up and both times I didnt get the blue cheese. Also, last time my wife didnt get the beets with her beet salad. Quite a conundrum. I decide to call this time just for to ring continuously and then be hung up on. Stopped by Urban Plates for lunch and had a good experience! Inside there was plenty of seating and the line went quick to order food. The cashier was very helpful and kind. Here is a breakdown of the food I ordered.1. Chimichurri steak: this was definitely the highlight of the meal. The steak is high quality grass fed and was very tender. The chimmichuri was the perfect accompaniment to the meat.2. French fries: the fries at urban plates get the job done. Nothing exceptional here have had better fries and worse fries.3. Brussel Sprouts: the Brussel sprouts and turkey bacon are a good healthier side to order. My main complaint here is that the Brussel were not crispy whatsoever. My friend described them as dense.4. Strawberry Basil Lemonade: Urban Plates offers a variety of drink options including stubborn brand soda and a few craft lemonades. My lemonade was delicious!All in all Urban Plates is a good place to stop for lunch or dinner. Their plates can be a bit pricy and they can improve in the few dishes I tried which is why I give them 4 stars.

My friends and I were sitting at one of the tables outside tonight chatting after our meal and Francisco comes up to our table with three massive cookies and gives one to each of us. Such a sweet gesture and makes me enjoy the restaurant that much more. Also, my friends almost always orders the chicken cobb salad and absolutely loves it.
