First time here loved the food.Very organic, clean and delicious. I got the grass fed steak with mashed potatoes and goat cheese beets. So delicious! The customer service is exceptional. They gladly turned the heaters on for me when I asked. One of the gentleman, Alejandro Lopez was exceptional! The service here is so warm, great. Along with delicious food…I will be back! I hope all the locations are as good as this one. Everything was perfect and location is perfect. Highly recommend.

🥬 Super cute spot to eat, and the menu looks good. Tbh, the food was ok, but nothing special. Pretty bland. There was plenty of seats inside and out. Customer service was whatever... nothing horrible but not good either. Wow, what an amazing experience. First time ever going to Urban Plates- went for my girlfriend’s birthday. Food options were plentiful and prices were good. I got the steak plate with fries and butternut squash. My girlfriend got steak plate too.Food was absolutely delicious and filling. On top of the that, the serve was fabulous. Emily, the supervisor, was amazing and provided us with excellent customer service.Top notch establishment with excellent food and service. Thank you to Emily and the rest of the staff!

The Price to food ratio is on the dot. It’s great a bang for your buck. The food is relatively healthy and well portioned. For the few times I have come, the staff is very friendly and provided great service. To top it all off, the restaurant has a rustic, home feel to it. If you get a chance, stop by and ask for Alejandro Lopez. My man did a fantastic job taking care of us every time.

I just want to give a shoutout and show appreciation to the waitresses for correcting a minor error. My food wasn’t as hot as expected for me and they kindly took me and my husband’s food back with no problem and no attitudes. They were very sweet and Kind. I definitely will be back. Went to lunch today for the 1st time at Urban Plates and the food was wonderful! The Skirt Steak, roasted potatoes and Brussels sprots was fantastic. Everything was seasoned just right. My sister had the Salmon, roasted potatoes and Cesar salad and she said it was wonderful. Alejandro took great care of us! He was kind and friendly made sure we had what we needed. It was my sisters birthday and he gave her a complimentary oatmeal cookie. We will definitely be back to this wonderful establishment!!!

Stopped by for dinner after a day at the beach. Ordered the grilled grass fed steak with roasted rosemary red potatoes and side house salad. Food was great. Table service a bit lacking. Placing the order yourself so everything you ordered was in the computer system, the table staff had to either keep asking us what we ordered or didnt bring things until asked multiple times. A tip is expected (paid for in advance thru the app), and they add 3% additional gratutuity, saying its to provide health care and other benefits to the employees. Gee, in the business world, thats just called a business cost. Why should different customers pay different amounts based on total spent for this mandatory gratuity to cover employee benefits? Just raise the prices - be honest about your true cost of doing business.

My son and I usually come to Urban Plates on PCH in Long Beach Marina to catch up on life and I usually get the Meat Loaf with Mash Potatoes and Mac and Cheese and he will get a Burger and Fries. There are a lot of healthy options to chose from. Its an open space so you can relax and have a decent meal. My son is super picky so this is a good option.

If you’re looking to eat healthy and you are in the Long Beach área Urban Plates is the place to go. I came in to celebrate my birthday and I was not disappointed with the way I was treated. The staff was very kind and they helped with any questions I had. When I thought the service could not get any better Chef Felipe came out and proved me and my family wrong. He made us feel welcomed and made sure that everything was going well. The service was exceptional and the food was great. I will definitely be coming here again and again.

I spent the day with my niece and had to take her to a vegan restaurant. I was so excited to find this place and take her there. She ordered the citrus beet salad and loved it. I had seared all he, a side of mashed potatoes, and a side bowl of beef stew. We sat outside on the patio and had a wonderful lunch. Highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you are vegan.

For a place so expensive and branding is so bougie, they really left me disappointed. The presentation was nice. But the taste was sad. The bread they gave us wasnt even toasted all the way through. Some of their equipment wasnt working. And the staff looked sad. Parts of our chicken werent fully cooked. And one of the cashews in our salad was moldy and rotting. Gross. Will not return.

Urban plates is the best restaurant I have been too in terms of food quality. The atmosphere is great and the service is even better. I like everything about this place. I have tried to make this my daily place for takeout. When I can because if you live close by the monthly plan is worth it if you plan to eat daily here. The drinks here are out of the world and the chicken tenders as well. Give this place a chance and you wont regret it.

I tried the grass fed cheeseburger with gluten free bread, & it was so fresh, juicy, & delicious - highly recommend! The fries are perfectly crispy but also soft on the inside & healthy tasting, & I appreciate that they use rice bran oil instead of canola or seed oils which are terrible for your health. Urban Plates is my go-to for whatever I am craving & I always feel so good afterwards because they use fresh, good quality ingredients ! + they now have gluten free chocolate cookies in addition to flourless chocolate cake! I only wish they had keto chocolate chip cookies, too.

I had Cesar salad as a starter, grilled salmon as the entrée, chilli green beans with mushrooms and grilled potatoes for the 2 sides with some bread toasted. Not only is the food here delicious but the patio has such a nice ambiance and the staff is super helpful and attentive. They are constantly coming around clearing plates and giving refills despite this not being a sit down restaurant.If you’re a fish person I highly recommend the ahi tuna! It is so tasty and melts in your mouth. The food is somewhat expensive but it’s well worth it for the taste. Plus, the portions are generous. The two side plate is a ton of food - two sides, a main, and a piece of bread!Don’t forget to try their açaí drink - it’s to die for!

Urban Plates has a nice interior and an outdoor seating area. As a first timer, on a seemingly busy night, in my experience, I dont find its easy to navigate. I walk in, an employee asks if Im dining in or picking up, I decide to dine in, the employee sets a card holder holding a card with a number on it on the counter, my hands are full, I ask if I can sit down to order since Im not familiar with the menu options, an employee tells me I can order at the table, I sit down, I go to the website, I find a meal I want, I notice a sticker with a QR code on another table, I eventually order at the counter, an employee sets a different card holder holding a card with a number on it on the counter, I realize I have to bring the card holder with me, then sit down again.I order the Meatless Loaf with sides of Red & White Quinoa Tomato and Organic Black Beans El Rancho. I enjoy the meal; the Homemade Tomato Jam and the Organic Black Beans El Rancho (mainly the sauce more so than the actual beans) are very good alone as well as with the Red & White Quinoa Tomato and the Meatless Loaf. The side bread complements the meal well. I like the Meatless Loaf with the sauces more so than by itself (otherwise it has a drier though tasty flavor). After finding a speck of a different sauce in the greens on my Meatless Loaf, I check with an employee about the ingredient to find it may be a type of Blue Cheese thats next to the greens.I think its a good idea to keep non-Vegan ingredients a good distance away from potentially primary Vegan ingredients. In my experience, the employees are nice though there seems to be a lot going on otherwise that doesnt make ordering easier for a first time guest especially if a table doesnt have a QR code. The establishment accepts Samsung Pay.

We ordered last night and my husband found a piece of wood In his steak and mashed potatoes. But the food was good so we ordered again today, and again he found a piece of foil in his mashed potatoes. We both work in food service and understand the demand of keeping up with food orders. But to find 2 foreign objects in our food two days in a row is kind of shocking. Either they are doing it deliberately or they are lazy and not being focused. I’ve been in food since I was 17 and not once have I ever messed up with debris, even during the craziest rushes. Now the food WAS good so we want to be able to eat here again, we just hope they do a better job at preparing the meals.

Im a plate pass member and come here regularly, 3-4 times a month. Youll get a great deal, which amounts to about $11 a dish. I order on the app and the food always comes out very quickly and tastes delicious. I highly recommend the chimichurri steak with a side of mash and choice of vegetables. You cant go wrong with whats on the menu. My wife usually gets the salmon salad and loves it every time. Our server, Sam, is so helpful and friendly to us when we see her. We ordered a chicken sandwich boxed with a side of Caesar and a salmon Caesar and what we got was one correct salad and one wrong order— chicken salad not sandwich. I didn’t want to waste the order or wait to receive the correct item, which was not offered to me anyway, so we ate it without complaints. I asked for silverware and was told to grab it from the front. Not easy to find, silverware is kept next to the register at the front and water and plastic forks are kept in another, more obvious section. All the while, I see people being served silverware with their food. Awful service at the front register and awful service on the floor. Food was decent but not good. First time dining at Urban Plates. Great location in the cute 2nd and PCH open air mall plus free 90 minutes of parking, no validation needed. You order at the counter and plates are highly customizable with a large selection (16 I think!!) of made from scratch sides; everything from side salads, fries, roasted brussels, mac and cheese, and more. We ordered with Victor, who was friendly, answered all of our questions and didnt make us feel rushed as it was our first time and they have an extensive menu. There were three in our party and our meals were brought out one at at time, not too long in between, but I like hot food so I appreciate them running the food when the plate is ready, not waiting for every item from the table to be ready. I got the Asian Chicken noodle salad and it was delicious, full of fresh greens, loads of chopped veggies and chunks of mangos and mandarins and I had it tossed, and the dressing was perfect, nice and light. Not too many noodles, and a mix of light and dark chicken. My dinner buddies had the classic buttermilk tenders with roasted brussels and fries (tenders were huge, juicy and the homemade ranch was so good!) and the grilled chicken club sandwich with chips. Service was great from the counter to the dining room. We cant wait to go back, lots of options for healthy eating, even plant based, or indulgent eating. I also noted we will be able to come with a group of picky eaters as everyone can customize their meal exactly as they like. We finished our meal with a slice of the mango tart, and a cookie. 5 star dinner!

My girlfriend and I visited the Urban plates in Long Beach. We decided to share a meal so we enjoyed the the chicken club sandwich and ordered two Stellas on draft. We waited for our sandwich and started to drink our beers. The beers were on the warm side. So I asked my girlfriend to try hers. She agreed. I brought it to the attention of our server. He informed his district manager that was there that day. The manager came over to our table and we just ask for ice to put in the beers. A few minutes later he returned with a cash refund for the beers. But we still got to enjoy our beer. After finishing the he meal the manager offered us a dessert on the house. I declined but my girlfriend accepted the offer. We got to enjoy a delicious hummingbird cake. I returned to the manager and requested he put the return money in the server tip jar. Even with a few critiques, I have to say Urban Plates is hands down, one of the best places to get tasty, high quality, well put together foods. Hands down. If youre sensitive, and can get sick easy from foods at fast food and even other restaurants, I can almost guarantee you will have no issues here.Minor critiques:1) I love the plates, and getting two sides. My only gripe is that while you get a good portion of say, asparagus (which doesnt fit into the tiny quarter sections of the box), things that can fit into the little quarter sections of the take out box, are utilized for things like the old bay potatoes ect. Which means you get a small amount. Which is a big bummer.2) I love the chicken tender dish, absolute favorite and I dont know what Id do without it and the honey mustard sauce. The last few weeks though, I feel like the chicken strips really have gotten smaller compared to a month ago. Perhaps they have no control over that, or Im just unlucky, but some pieces have been extremely small instead of those long thick pieces I had got accustomed too.3) It would be nice to have a rewards program for people that really spend a lot there. I almost exclusively go there to support the business and for high quality meals that dont get me sick. Ordered on DoorDash looking for something new to try and would feel safe to have considering my severe unique food allergies and I’ve been telling everyone I could that are also stuck in food restricted ruts. I had the steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and Mac n cheese with a cup of the mushroom and steak and finished with hummingbird cake with the fresh lemonade to wash it all down! It will be my new regular go to for ordering!

First time there today. Food was great. Lots of vegan options. Helpful staff. You can order from your table with your phone which is easy. Will be back for sure.

The salmon was good. The grass fed beef was far too salty and chewy. Couldnt taste the beef for the salt. The roasted potatoes were far too salty also. They would have been great - nice and buttery - except for too much salt. The banana cream pie was not much re the banana cream, far too much crust.

Eddie the manager was awesome he showed me how to download the app and for $10 a month do their program and it save me money on my first order he even helped me download and set everything up. Because of him I’m now coming back here at least 2 x a week and the food is delicious and organic too

The servers were very kind, continued to ask if we needed anything. The food was brought out almost immediately and tasted fresh.
