First time here on a Tuesday night and it seems pretty busy. A lot of online & pickup orders coming in and out. There’s indoor & outdoor seating. The food is fantastic but I did notice behind the counter kitchen area was super dirty specifically the floor. I feel like keeping a clean kitchen says a lot about how clean the staff is and how well the upkeep of the facility is. Maybe have a staff member do a sweep every hour on the hour to keep the kitchen clean. As a customer I can see the entire kitchen when ordering. Also want to note: the cookies are delicious!

I always love this place. They are fully staffed, and you are in and out even when they are busy.I ordered the sundried tomato pesto chicken sandwhich. Its perfect. Bursts of flavor. I like a little added moisture to my sandwiches so I asked for a side of their Balsamic dressing they use on their salads, and I dipped my sandwich in it. Perfect!

One of my favorite go-tos after the gym, I dont feel guilty either. The food is delicious too. I always do takeout and eat it in my bed with TV at the end of a busy day 😍 cute patio and inside seating. But its a great takeout option too 😋😋😋

Ive been coming here for years. All their sandwiches are yummy. I used to typically get the Southwest sandwich, which I would consider a general favorite. But now we get the Cilantro sandwich because its spicy and I enjoy the kick. Our other go-to is the Santa Maria BBQ chicken salad. Its not too BBQy, its got the right cheese, the chicken is soft and kinda shredded. And the dressing that comes with it (chipotle ranch) has a little spice it really ties the whole salad together.My toddlers eat the Ben sandwich no problem.Their chocolate chip cookies are great (ask for them to be soft (in the notes if you order online) I got rock hard ones once.

Salads here are awesome. I tried the salad with goat cheese, avocado, vinaigrette, bunch of greens and some good veggies. The stuff is fresh, dressing quite good and the portion was very good. Would definitely recommend this. The bread that accompanies the salad is just enough to give you some extra carbs.

Urbane Cafe is easy to find and plenty of parking. Fair prices. Menu mostly consists of healthy food choices, like sandwiches salads wraps and the like. I recommend the California sandwich with a blueberry Lemonade. I chose 4 out of five stars because there is no real ambience, however this will not prevent me from going back.

Portion size has really gone down when I order and tell them I want extra lettuce and extra salad you can see the ridiculous small portions that they put in the container.They charge for extra sides that they do not give you not at all happy with the last service we received especially since covid 19Dont let the photos fool you the plastic containers are small and they give you very little food for the normal price

This place has my favorite salad and all of Ventura. You got to come here and try there or he salad. The Japanese dressing that comes with it is fantastic. The Aji is super tasty and always fresh. And the salad makes you feel like you’re eating healthy!On the side they offer some bread which I really enjoy to get a piece of that too. My wife enjoys a couple of the sandwiches here and I’ve had friends who grab them too it’s always a great deal. Before the pandemic that a really cool outdoor seating that I highly recommend. Right now you can get your food pick up and do that.

I would have give 5 stars but my usual sandwich (sundried tomatoes and pesto) didnt seem as tasty. Ordering on line and grabbing it off the rack in front of the restaurant was easy. But my salad was warm and my sandwich was ehhh. Still better than most other sandwiches at other restaurants.

Ive been a long time customer of Urban Cafe. I read some of the negative reviews and thought wow, how petty! Ive never received a bad order. Im sure it can happen every once in awhile as we are all human. The staff has ALWAYS been very respectful and professional. My favorite sandwich shop, hands down!!!😋😋

Food was great! Service ok. Drink area and bathroom were not very clean. Theres a sign in the bathroom that says sanitized and cleaned a minimum of every hour. We were there over an hour and used bathroom before we left and it was dirty. Tall trash can was very full, paper on the floor. There werent enough people in the place to have fill that big trash can while we were there. Ill bet it had been about 5 or 6 hours if at all. I dont know if Ill go there again.

Good food, love the BBQ sauce on the BBQ Chicken Sandwich and the Southwest Chicken Sandwich is yummy too! Salads come with spring mix, Mandarin oranges and feta. Best balsamic vinaigrette hands down, ranch is remarkable as well. Very friendly and helpful staff, quick pick up ordering app too.

Good place if your in the mood for a good salad or sandwich. Place is clean with lots of inside seating. Food is gluten free and free of hormones and other chemicals put in food. You can choose a sandwich or salad from the menu or make your own how you want it. Definitely enjoyed and would return. Employees could better attitudes and less chit chat hmmm also i think the prices can be a bit high espically when going out in a group.

Bought a tri tip sandwich. I got more salad than tri tip. I was eating mostly bread that I barely tasted the tri tip. The cole slaw that was inside the sandwich was really bitter that I couldnt finish my meal. The greens in the salad was really dark green, as if it weeks old. Today on Saturday December 12 at the Urbane Cafe in Ventura I ordered a Gourmet Grilled cheese sandwich and a bbq Tri tip sandwhich without the coleslaw and a coke and lemonade. Drove home only to find out instead of bbq tri tip they gave me a southwest chicken. How anyone can get tri tip and chicken mixed up I dont know how. Also mind you they werent even busy it was dead at the location when we got there at 731pm. I called to let them know they gave me the wrong order I spoke with Rafa who was supposedly the manager and he tells me what did I want them to do. Well I told him I want what I ordered and I drove back to get the correct order. I drive the 10 min there told them Im here to pick up my correct order which I do get. Then I tell them how hard is it to get the order right ones red meat and the other is white meat. The guy at the register says something under his breathe as I was leaving. So I walked back in and said I would also like a free lemonade since they missed uo my order. The manager Rafa who was at the register said that they cant do that but he can give me a chip or a cookie and I said no I would like a free lemonade and he then said again that they arent allowed to do that. Now isnt he the manager is there a rule that says u cant do that. No he made it his personal choice to not provide a free lemonade because of my remark about how hard was it to get the right sandwhich and it showed his name on the receipt. Now this young millennial needs to go to school and get a lesson on customer service. So I called the Urbane Cafe in oxnard to ask if they arent allowed to give free lemonades and to my surprise she said if they messed up an order it would have not been a problem to provide a free lemonade on their behalf. Now thats great customer service and I usually order from the Urbane Cafe in oxnard but went to the one in Ventura since I was dropping off stuff for my mother who was on life support for 3 weeks fighting Covid and now at a rehabilitation home. I would never go to that Urbane Cafe if their managers dont know a thing or two about great customer service. You made a mistake own up to it just because you got called out for it and so u took it personally and refused and made your own personal choose to not give me the free lemonade out of spite. If you cant handle it get a different job. Oh and I never got an apology for the mistake that he made.

Urbane Cafe is a great place for sandwiches and salads. I almost always stop by when Im in town. I either come to this location or the Camarillo store. The bread that they include with each order is really delicious. Its simple but very tasty.I try to order their seasonal specials. The most recent ones are the Mango Jicama Salad and Ive gotten it with chicken and ahi tuna.Ive also ordered their Ahi Salad and the dressing that it comes with is really good, the Japanese Chili Garlic dressing.Be sure to double check if the protein is actually added to your order, Ive had at least 2 orders slip through where I just got a plain ol salad and not getting the chicken/tuna I paid for. Bummer.Download their app, theyll send you promos sometimes. You can also link up a credit card to it so you can accumulate points for quicker payment and for some money off once you hit a certain mark.

While the food might be good but the service is horrible. Called in the ventura location to order over the phone. The first thing when they pick up is to put me on hold for 5 mins. Ordering over the phone should not be that difficult and it is just plain rude.
