The cost for the size of sandwich has gotten smaller from when i was last there over 10yrs ago. Although the sandwich and salad were delicious they could be larger. I recommend this as an alternative to fast food but watch your costs

Delicious, fresh food. Yummy!!My taste buds were enticed, and I had to go back for 2nds. Their salmon salad is one of the best Ive ever had; the jicama, soybean combination is sooooogood! I can eat it every day. Try it! The salmon is perfectly seasoned and cooked. You wont regret it! Thank you, Urban Cafe, for serving healthy meals to the community. Lastly, kudos to your staff! They are friendly and polite.

I usually order salads from here and they are really good. However the last time I ordered, my salad had a very gritty texture with almost every bite. Kinda like the lettuce had not been washed? Very disappointing, and I will not be returning... At least not for salads.

If youre looking for a healthy sandwich then this is the place to go. My only surprise was the potion size of the sandwich, I thought I would get more but to me it was about half a sandwich. I seen this Urbane Cafe for a while since I usually go to The Habit next door but I wanted to try something different. So I put in my order online for the Club Sandwich. When I got to the place, there was plenty of parking during lunch time especially now that they allow outdoor dining. I was able to walk in and my order was already at the take out rack. A employee acknowledge me when I walked in and just handed me my order. I enjoyed my sandwich, I had some ranch dressing in the office so I added that to my sandwich to add some extra flavor. The side salad was alright but it wasnt my favorite.

We went to underwood farms and decided to check this place afterwards. The food tasted great! The only issue we had was that the soda machine was broken. So we had to stick to the lemonades they have which were good especially the watermelon lemonade. Im glad that there is a location near by our home so we will be checking them out soon.

They gave me cold sandwiches. Like from the fridge! Drove all the way there and back and get home and they’re completely cold! I call and ask how this can be and they have no answers. They said they’d refund my money, we will see if that really happens. They wouldn’t transfer me to a manager… I think these kids just make them and have them ready to make their life easier and are handing out cold food to people picking up.

I can say I usually have a good experience when coming here. I usually pick up my food to go and they have a pretty good curbside pickup system. The food is also pretty good as well. I would definitely say they are consistently good food. Definitely worth checking out. If youre nearby the area I would just suggest calling in ahead cuz they can get a little busy sometimes

I love the food here. It seems fresh and tastes great. I just wish they had the ability to fully cook their fish when ordered (they dont have a grill). I either like sushi or fully cooked fish, but not in between for some reason. Otherwise, this is one of my favorite places to eat at, and the staff are always friendly.

First time customer - I really enjoyed the salad I ordered and the rest of my group enjoyed their food as well. The bread that came with it was delicious and I wish I ordered another piece before I left. My only issue is that considering there were only two other customers in the location with us (of whom had already ordered and received their food), it took an exceptionally long time for our orders to get called (it was also an off-time - 2pm - and there were multiple people working behind the counter). Otherwise, I would recommend this place and I wish there were more locations near me.

I love their food- sandwiches, soups, salads! It always seems fresh. Even the basic side salad is so yummy with mandarin oranges, feta, and balsamic vinaigrette. The one thing that wasnt perfect is their specialty lemonade It was pretty watered down, not worth the almost $3.

Great vegetarian options. I got the seasonal corn and quinoa salad and my husband got the Californian sandwich. My kids got the grilled cheese with fruit and enjoyed it. The bread wasnt as warm and didnt have the crunch on the outer crust like its had when I go for lunch (we went for dinner this time). But it was still tasty. Also, its kind of confusing when you finish eating. Do you leave your plates at the table? Bus them to the trash? There isnt really an area to stack plates and bowls and the trash is kind of small to clear the plates yourself. And since you dont see any staff walking around the tables, its kind of confusing and awkward knowing what to do with plates when youre done. Its good food and the service is friendly and fast, so we will return.

Small soup and sandwich shop that doesnt look like much from outside but serves amazingly tasty food. The grilled cheese was one of my all time favorites and you will for sure need to leave with a freshly baked cookie if you are sitting at one of the tables next to where they are being baked

We ordered the southwest and cilantro chicken sandwich at this place. The southwest was good, soft bread, tangy flavor with a good mix of beans, corn and sauce, came with a side salad which was just some lettuce with little toppings. Very light meal and tasted fresh. I did not the cilantro sandwich because my gf would not let me take a bite:) the inside was clean and inviting, wait time was under 10 minutes for my go order. Your average cost for 2 is around 20 bucks. Mostly salads and sandwiches are served here. I would compare it to stove oven as they have similar food and sandwiches. Nothing that stands out, but a good spot to come to if your in the mood for food that sounds and looks healthy but in the end its just another spot for a sandwich or salad.

I used to eat a lot salads from here, my favorite one is the Miso Salmon but my last order was really unpleasant experience. They just put almost nothing of Salmon and the little that I got on my salad was kinda burned like it was the last that they had on the tray😡😡😡please try to be more honest in your job because your service is not for free. I just do not like Urbane for some reason. The food if fresh and ok but I just do not see the hype. I am a Italian deli type. I can stand shredded chicken on salads and tangerine wedges in a hearty said. Just too much. And it isnt cheap. They need to add a spicy sandwich that tastes authentic not like a subway. But my daughters and their FREINDS love it.

Great place to eat, definitely one of our new favorites. A little pricey for casual dining similar to Hook Burger, expect to pay around 10 dollars for a sandwich and a drink but the cost is definitely worth it. The bread is fire baked to order and the ingredients taste amazing. Try the Santa Maria BBQ or the Pesto Chicken Sandwhiches. Also try the BlackBerry lemonade. All are packed with flavor.

Probably one of my favorite restaurants of all time. At least in SoCal for sure. All of their sandwiches are made on their signature Focaccia bread, which is absolutely amazing. My favorite sandwich is the Cranberry Brie (without Arugula because Arugula is the worst - personal opinion), its the perfect blend of sweetness with the salty/creamy cheese, with some herb aioli to send it home. A close second is the SoCal as well, but you really cant go wrong with any sandwich. LASTLY, dont forget about the cookies! These are low-key the BEST chocolate chip cookies I have had from a restaurant! Idk how they do it, but almost every cookie Ive gotten from Urbane has been perfection. What are you waiting for? We bought takeout from the Simi Valley location and ordered it online. Wet used their curbside pickup feature, which is well designed and easy to use.Their menu offers more vegetarian-friendly items and theyre very tasty. I had the Californian sandwich, which had artichokes, avocado sundried tomatoes, cheese, lettuce and an herb aioli.My wife had the tofu banh mi, which was stuffed with roasted tofu, cilantro, cucumbers, pickled onions, radishes, and a sweet chili aioli. Both sandwiches came with a side salad, but you could upgrade to a cup or bowl of any soup.When we arrived to pick up our order, we simply touched the Im here button on the order confirmation email or on the site itself, and they brought our food out within a few minutes.

Urban Café is an awesome little lunch or dinner spot we love to go to all around California. The one in Simi Valley is located next to a Target, which made for a no brainer choice for lunch during holiday shopping! We like to call a place like this an in between type of meal, its not fast food, you can sit down or take away, but there are no servers and you don’t tip, plus its healthy!! It’s fast, delicious and reasonably priced. They have delicious salads and sandwiches that never disappoint. This is definitely a go to spot for the Ruberti family while in California. Hopefully they expand to other states soon!
