Ordered for take out from this location while in SLO. Arrived nearby the Cafe and went in. the order was not ready and a little wait is alright. Staff was friendly and took the time to ask about extra items for take out. Tried out a salad, as you can see from the image posted the container was full of fresh ingredients. Price point is on the higher end and the food was good. Cafe is on a corner of a busy road. There is parking nearby in public or in the street. SLO parking enforcement is ready to help with tickets to be wary.

I got the Ahi tuna salad and it was delicious. Other people at my table got a chicken soup and a chicken peanut crunch salad and also very much enjoyed their meals. It also came with a nice piece of bread. They have fun drinks like a Shirley Temple soda at the fountain, and they also serve beer. Nice casual place for a tasty lunch!

Good selection of healthy eating. Salads were hefty with good choices for protein. I got the ahi tuna and my friend got the tri tip. Both were very delicious. They come with dressing on the side automatically. Focaccia bread was not our favorite as it was dry and hard, served with cool salad it just doesnt work. All in all, a respectable lunch option when visiting SLO for the day.

Really yummy sandwiches on house-made focaccia. I had the southwest chicken sandwich and it was great - the chipotle aioli had a really nice kick to it and the corn and black bean salsa was delicious! The side salad that came with the sandwich was also really good, and wasnt bland/boring like side salads normally are. Everything was really tasty and decently priced at about $10 per entree. Ill definitely be coming back to try some other sandwiches on the menu!

I love love love this place. I go here whenever Im in San Luis obispo because of their house made focaccia. They have that bread for all their sandwiches. They also have very tasty salads. I wish it was in the bay area.

Came here with a party of three for lunch when we were in town. It was just over twenty dollars for two meals and a soup á la carte. Very affordable!Pesto & Sun-dried Tomato Chicken SandwichI had this and I loved it. It was filling, but not in the Monty Python/Mr. Creosote way. Served on house-made focaccia bread, which was very tender and toothsome. It gave the sandwich a great chew. The sun-dried tomatoes were mild, but they added tartness and tang to a sandwich which would otherwise be overwhelmed by the garlic and basil in the pesto. Plenty of chicken and cheese on the sandwich. It came with a house salad, dressed in oil and balsamic vinegar over fresh greens. It was an incredibly healthy meal, all things considered. I would usually reserve this level of enjoyment for things that are conspicuously dire for my constitution and waistline, like cinnamon rolls or ice cream sundaes.Miso Salmon SaladThis was everyone’s favorite. My wife described it as ‘bright,’ like a shining star or precocious child. I think she meant it was glorious and radiant, like an angel. The dressing was delicious, so good that after she had poured it in the salad, I used my sandwich to scoop the remnants out of the plastic cup it came in. My wife loved the bits of mango and the amount of salmon. She and her mom were huge fans of the edamame, though she preferred the Armenian cucumber for the crunch. Overall, an excellent summer salad.Cafe SaladMy mother-in-law has this, though she was hesitant about the goat cheese. We usually go in for Gorgonzola or another stinky cheese. Compared to these, the goat cheese was very mild. She picked out the pear, but I thought it was tolerably good with the balsamic vinaigrette. (I let nothing go to waste!) There were loads of pecans and slices of avocado. She did say that the dressing was very tangy, so she recommended starting with half dressing, as it could be off-puttingly pungent, especially if on a first date.Sausage and Kale SoupI ordered a cup of soup because I was hungry and I tend to overdo it when in this state. I enjoyed the soup, which was savory with nice peppery bite. It was lovely with the bread and reminded me most of the zuppa tuscana soup at Olive Garden.Overall, I lovely place for lunch and we definitely recommend the summer menu!

Got to try their tofu banh mi sandwich and salmon bowl and both were perfect! The banh sandwich had the right ratio of tofu to veg to bread and great seasoning. It also included a side salad with balsamic dressing. The salmon bowl also had great flavor. Im trying to eat healthier and this place hit the spot without a sacrifice in taste. I was happy to learn that theres also a location closer to home. Hope they open up more locations in SoCal.

This was the third time I have come here and absolutely love their food. I had the bbq chicken salad and it was amazing. My husband was hesitant to try this place so I assured him it was good. He too gives this wonderful place 5 stars. He had the so-cal sandwich and was very satisfied. I have also tried the all their cookies, you will not be disappointed. The staff was friendly. Wish they had this restaurant in Paso Robles, so we can visit more often.

We got the vietnamese chicken sandwich with pickled carrot, radish and the turkey on homemade pita type bread with cranberry chutney...so so scrumptious... and each had a big arugula, feta, baby tangerine salad with housemate vinegrette . . I cant say enough. We dont live near this shop but were traveling and wanted healthy food. The parking was clean and just outside, everyone wire masks in the employee areas and dining area. It had great ratings,and I can see why. we will make it a point to stop there anytime were on the highway and recommend it to anyone who likes to have a healthy fresh delicious sandwich and salad. They also serve delicious looking bottle soft drinks and Jarisco, but as I said we were trying to be healthy. Thank you Urbane Cafe!

Ahi salad: tuna nicely cooked but quite salty. Japanese Chili dressing was good. The veggie power salad was bean confused. Black beans and edamame and garbanzo, too much. Cilantro vinaigrette was nice. The sandwiches were nothing special, everything over priced for what it was.

Amazing 2 sandwiches I tried (both veggie) were amazing (comes with a nice combination of greens in balsamic dressing).The stuff was kind, and the only downside is that there is no hot drink - so they dont mind you going to the coffee shop next door, and bring it in while you wait for your dish to be prepared.5 stars!

When recently dining at Urban Eats, the couple who came to the booth next to ours had a dog with them. Not outside in the patio but inside the restaurant. They not only let their dog up on the seat but also on the table. Urban Eats should know that this is not allowed according to CA law and health regulations.

What a wonderful location, menu, staff, and food! well now that I have summed it up, how about some details! The salad was wonderful, and the baby arugula is my wifes favorite and she was raving. The vegetarian sandwich I had was The Californian and it was perfect. Just perfect. Artichoke hearts, avocado, herb mayo, jack cheese and well yum! Now mix all that up with a seat on the patio in front and wow! The people watching goes on and on and on and I guess I am to going on and on and on!

Good sandos and salads. My only complaint is the difficulty in getting salad options with no onions. Not only is there only one salad that doesnt have onions (if Im lucky their seasonal salad might not but that is rare), they have failed multiple times to get it right when Ive specifically asked. Ive had to go back due to errors on several occasions. If they would stop adding onions to their premix prep they would have 5 stars.

4 months ago they took out serving beer, said they were bringing it back in bottles, as soon as they figure out what brands they want to sell. Really 5 months, just called them and was told they are still trying to make there decision. Any company that can’t make a simple choice on what to sell, will not be getting my business anymore..
