This place has great healthy food options. I have lunch here often. The bread is fresh baked in front of you and everything is made in house. They also have great soup here, although it varies by the day. I’m so grateful they opened this location in my neighborhood.

Love the Power green Salad and the Mediterranean bowl. We usually order both and share. We request a different dressing on the salad for every visit and love them all!We tried Vinaigrette, ranch, and then substituted a little humus for the dressing. I love the free bread, too. Last time, I used a scrap of bread to wipe the last of the hummus from the bowl, Delicious 😋

Visiting in Carlsbad, I was very happy to see there was an Urbane Cafe in Encinitas. I had my usual, the Salmon Salad. Somehow the salmon came in broken pieces versus one whole piece of filet that I remember getting at Urban Cafe in Pasadena.My husband had the BBQ steak sandwich. The sandwich size was little small. But the side salad was tasty. This place is conveniently located inside a shopping plaza.

Great restaurant where the focus is the sandwiches. But they have soup,salads, and cookies too. Indoor and outdoor seating. Very pleasant. We loved both of our sandwiches, both of which were under $10. Love the craft sodas too. Great staff also.

Awesome food, good vegeterian and vegan options.Easily customizable. Very friendly staff, awesome ambience.Ask for extra sauce on the side or on the bread u will like it.Do install the app to get free cookie and good collection of points.

Today I had the cilantro chicken salad, it was amazingly delicious. Good size and healthy portions. Monday we had three different and fabulous sandwiches.The staff greet you at the door and make you feel totally welcomed. The best part of eating here is the quality and freshness of all their food. We loved everything and totally recommend to everyone. I give Urbane Cafe five stars.

It’s a shame they don’t ask if you’re “dining in”, as every order is given a plethora of plastics that’s ignorantly wasteful, regardless if it’s recyclable. There’s tables outside, no reason they can’t use reusable plates and silverware. As I ate lunch I watched 10+ customers who dined at these tables and threw away their full bags of plastic waste, I imagine the trash can will be full after another handful of customers. Food is good.

Had a wonderful experience coming to this place for the first time! I was greeted by a beautiful young woman with the warmest smile! She was multitasking like crazy and cleared a table off for us so fast. The food was great and service was as well. Thank you Kylee for an amazing experience!!!

I always seem to enjoy soup at this little cafe. I indulged in the red pepper soup and it was so yummy that I really wanted to ask for more. I usually get the Italian wedding soup and enjoy its flavor as well as its tiny meatballs. The focaccia that comes with it is always fresh and tasty. My friend bought a cranberry, white chocolate chip cookie that was warm and delicious.(She gave me a bite.) Lemon cooler and chocolate chip cookies are on the menu as well.

Horribly managed restaurant. We came at a peak time and they were completely out of bread so they couldnt make any sandwiches! Filthy tables. Almost $50 for 3 small salads without drinks. Very slow service even though they werent busy. We wont be back.

My mother in law took me here yesterday and honestly, almost everything on the menu looked delicious. I got the tritip steak sandwich which was fantastic. The ambiance of the establishment is nice. It is not too bright inside and the staff are all really nice and helpful. The prices are more than fair for the quality. I could eat here everyday for lunch or dinner and plan on returning.

The salads are pretty good here but those warm freshly baked cookies are great. Lots of salads and sandwhiches to choose from, Ive only had the salads though. Ive eaten there and also ordered online and when I did, they forgot to add chicken. I drove back and got my extra chicken so no big deal. Everyone makes mistakes. Just make sure and check your order if youre getting your food to go but I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the food here. Cant wait to go back

My boyfriend absolutely loves Urbane and this is our go-to location. Highly recommend the Bella Portobello sandwich, while my bfs favorite is the Southwest Chicken sandwich. Great service every time, and always get our food in a timely manner. Have been coming to this location for years and will continue to do so as long as its there!

Impressed with my sandwich! To be quite honest all of the ingredients in the sandwiches, especially the Californian(the one I ordered) seemed like the ingredients would not go well together but I was definitely wrong! This was a delicious sandwich and everyone should definitely purchase a cookie to go with their sandwich because its soooo good- nice fresh and warm!!

First, from the outside, you do not realize how big and spacious the restaurant is. It had plenty of open seating.Upon walking in, I noticed the massive menu, with so many delicious options to choose from. I also noticed the bread/focaccia making station, which assured me of how fresh my food was going to be.The lady taking my order was so kind and she helped me by giving her suggestion of what Sandwich I should get, as I was stuck between two; their seasonal Mojo Chicken and the Bahn Mi Chicken. She suggested the Mojo Chicken and the Mojo Chicken is what I ordered.While waiting for my lunch, I filled up my drink cup with half tea and half of their blueberry basil lemonade. SO GOOD!!!! When I left, I filled up on half tea, half Mango lemonade! Just as good as the blueberry basil.When I received my sandwich, I was so excited to dig in. The cheese was ooey gooey and the veggies on my sandwich were grilled to perfection. The chicken was nice and juicy and the sauces on that sandwich were AMAZING!!!! I did not eat much of the salad, as I am not an arugula fan, but my problem, not theres. I will most definitely go for a cup of soup next time, as I am a soup lover and would love to try one of their soups of the day. Luckily the sandwich came with a bag of chips that left me more than satisfied!The staff was amazing, so kind and offered up any help when needed!Overall, I had a great experience and will be back. Healthy eating, but different and fun menu all at the same time. This location is a little out of the way for me, but the Mira Mesa Urbane Cafe has my name on it!

Horrible customer service. I ordered two sandwiches and one cookie for pickup today but there was no cookie in a bag. I went back to the cafe and told a worker about it. She insisted that she had put it in the bag, so I went to my car and double-checked if it was in the bag. There was no cookie. I went back to the cafe again with the bag and told her the same thing. She said, fine, Ill give you ANOTHER one. I still cannot believe what she said and how she said that to me. The food is great but I will never come back to a place where a worker treats a customer as a liar.

I happened on this restaurant one day going to target and boy am I glad I did! I ordered the café salad and it was loaded with fresh chicken, goat cheese etc. it is absolutely delicious! The focaccia bread is made fresh daily as well as they roast their peppers for the balsamic, and it is wonderful. I really don’t even care for balsamic, but theirs is great! I make it a point now to come here weekly and can’t wait to get my salad each time. You’re going to love it!

The manager Maria has very poor customer service skills and should not be representing urban cafe. Not only was she rude but also unwilling to assist in fixing a problem. Food is good and customer service is great company wide. I will continue to return for the delish food but upper management please get better managers.

This is the best Urbane yet! I love this place and the people are always so friendly. The food is delicious and always fresh. It starts with the mouth watering bread, wins you over with the various toppings, and completes the meal with the perfect side salad. But I tried “The Ahi Salad”.The dressing was the best part of the salad, Yumm. The salad was Served with Japanese Chili Garlic Dressing, OMG, I still taste it. The salad had lot of greens with generous amount of sashimi grade ahi tuna. The greens included Asian greens, lot of avocado, some feta cheese, few edamame, cucumbers, red radish, tomatoes and sesame seeds. It also came with Fire-Baked Focaccia Bread, so soft and yumm.Also tried their 50/50 Chocolate Chip and Chocolate cookie, it was nice and fresh. There were plenty of drinks options including three different flavors of fresh lemonade.

I stumbled upon this restaurant on my way to Target in Encinitas. I thought I would give Urban Cafe a try! I ordered The Protein Salad and added the chicken breast. The salad was $8.25 and the chicken breast was an extra $1.95. I was greeted by a sweat young lady Megan. She answered all my questions with a great attitude and a smile. I thought for such a reasonable price how good could it really be? WOW! The salad was amazing!It was such a generous portion, fresh, tasty ingredients, and a nice piece of focaccia type bread. They also had backed cookies that also looked great! The menu has something for everyone!The restaurant was clean, bathroom spotless and a nice drink selection! I was also able too tap into Starbucks free WiFi! This is a must try cafe!
