Love this place! So many good healthy options. My favorite is the Tofu Bahn Mi. Great portions for an affordable price. They do get busy so keep that in mind and double check your to go order to make sure everything is there.

AB-SO-LUTE-LY DELICIOUS! I mobile ordered the Mediterranean Bowl with tofu and avocado and the Dragon Fruit Agua Fresca. The bowl was so good...I ordered another one an hour later for dinner. It was my 1st time drinking that so I dont know if its supposed to be sweeter. Still...two👍🏾👍🏾!

Was craving something healthy since my usual spot closed down. I got the salmon bowl that had a lot of very healthy ingredients. The dressing was amazing! The price for a salmon bowl to be delivered was also very good. The salmon wasnt the best quality; but I would say that my expectations were met and I felt full and checked the healthy box. I would order it again.

As soon as I went through the door, I hear Julian say “welcome to your casa” and my order going, always going out of his way to ensure the best customer service. The same can be said about the busy Bee (Bea?) and Ashley, those two are the best in the west!The food is always excellent and a great alternative to most fast food. Prices are reasonable and they always have very good seasonal dishes.If youre in the area, check it out. Wont be disappointed.

Very quick stop and go eatery with many salads and sandwiches to choose from. The overall theme of the restaurant is California modern. They even offer tri tip steak as a protein option on top of salads as well as the usual chicken and shrimp. Their hand made focaccia bread is light, soft and irresistible. Great for quick healthy lunches.

Urbane Cafe is easily my favorite restaurant in the entire plaza. Not just because of the food but the service as well. I had the pleasure of encountering Gabby last time I was there and it was hands down the best customer service experience Ive had in the past three years. I was in a rush, not having a good day, and somehow left smiling just from talking to her for a few minutes before grabbing my to-go order. Hire more people like Gabby and this Urbane might just take over the world 👍

Hands-down one of my absolute favorite places to eat in San Diego!! Great portion sizes, healthy, vegetarian/vegan friendly! Everything I’ve ever tried has exceeded my expectations. Terrible customer service.I ordered a chicken salad with half kale and half mixed greens. After we place our order, paid, and sit the tall white guys says we cant get our salad that way. The Ahi salad was very good. The bread was something to return for. Again very good. Food was made fast and it was plated well also. The one downside was after purchasing the bottled sodas they could not produce a bottle opener. And the sodas were not twist offs. A little short sided. I would recommend this place. It was tasty and good. Just bring your own bottle opener.

Always have a mixed bag with the service. Been turned away a few times now for them being too busy (or I could wait 30+ minutes). Food is always delicious, but Ive been surcharged (without warning) recently for things I havent been in the past. Its a small sitting area that is always full, but you might find something outside. I go for the food, but so far, its my least favorite location.

Portions were actually very big and satisfying. I like to judge places now by their portions because everyone has raised their prices yet it seems most places have also lessened their portions. Big fan of urbane cafe for a long time but this specific location does not deliver the same quality that I grew to love.Chimi churri steak tasted like 2 day old roast beef, was missing the chimi churri sauce (how do you forget the main component of the sandwich, its literally in the name) and was cold and gross. Took about 2 bites and chucked the rest in the trashcan. Goodbye $14.

Food poisoning aside, its overpriced, bland, and theres just something off about the house-made focaccia that they use to make all their sandwiches. This is a great little spot to get a quick bite. Their sandwiches are filling and tasty, but I dont get the feeling that its necessarily healthy. The salad is a fine addition too -- I really like the mandarins in there!It does get super packed though, as it basically serves the local workforce in the area because every other food option around the shopping center doesnt even come close. Its definitely on the fast food side of things, so just keep that in mind if you decide to give this restaurant a try.

Solid spot for quick sandwiches and salads. They use a pizza dough style bread for the sandwiches which is something a little different (and taste great). If you want a salad, my go to is cilantro chicken salad. Their balsamic vinaigrette is also top notch if you like that sort of dressing. Only negative is there is very little seating inside. Though there are usually tables outside if its busy.

My daughter had the chicken tortilla soup that she gulped down quickly w/ the best side salad ever!! And ordered extra focaccia to go. This placed is usually pack because us locals love, love, love the healthy food, & vegetarian options. Major plus is the bread. The artichoke bisque soup is also a must but they only have it 1-2 days per week.The staff is nice and efficient but seating is very limited so if you go during prime times you may not getting seating. I am SO BEHIND! I just tried this place for my first time, which is nuts since Ive lived down the street for over two years...I ordered the Moroccan sandwich, which is a seasonal item. The chicken they used was amazing, so flavorful and just the right kick of spice. The focaccia bread they use is yummy, its warm and has a light crispy exterior with a soft center. I also didnt realize the sandwich came with a salad on the side, bonus! Ill definitely be grabbing some more of this food when Im in a bind for a meal :)Only reason I knocked it down a star is I wanted to call an order in, but they never picked up the phone... I wasnt in a super rush, so I figured I would wait a few minutes and call back in case they were particularly busy, but I did this three times and no one ever picked up.

Theres probably no other place in San Diego where you can get a high quality healthy meal with a decent portion size for under $10. Meticulously prepared salads with the perfect dressing, fresh baked bread and high quality sandwich fillings. It gets crowded from 1130 to about 1pm but the line moves fast. Make sure you try the Baja chicken enchilada soup.

This marked my 109th (online) visit to Urbane over the last 4 years. I have yet to find a better sandwich in San Diego than the SoCal. Ive tried everything on the menu and it is all amazing with delicious and fresh ingredients. I highly recommend ordering via their app so you can skip the line as it can get very busy during heavy hours (mid-day). Best bread out there and their sauces (especially their chipotle ranch side sauce) are to die for.

This morning I place four orders to be picked up at 11:30 am. When I got there the order line was out the door and not just outside the door. The manager told me to stand in line to pay for my order. I told him no I would have been standing in line for at least 20 - 30 minutes while my called-in order was waiting on the shelf. How ridiculous is that!!! Urbane Cafe should have another register for the take-out customers. This place is not for those that only have 30 minutes for lunch. I was grateful that they let me pay ahead of the line but they made it a point to say that they will do it just this one time. They just lost a customer.

I love Urbane and regularly eat at their other locations. We stopped here because it was on the way home. The place was dirty and the staff unfriendly. It took forever to order as the person taking them kept getting confused and having to repeat the order multiple times. Skip this one and go to other branches

Decided to try it, ordered a Protein Salad... walked home to eat and realized they didnt put any protein on it. A giant pile of lettuce with a small amount of corn and some cheese. I eat here way too often. Southwest Chicken Sandwich is the best thing in the menu. All the sandwiches come on focaccia bread they produce fresh in the shop, and thats really why youd go here. Theres a tastey side salad as well, which helps make you feel less bad about yourself when you order your 4th meal here in a week.

Urbane Café has delicious sandwiches. I dont get the luxury of stopping here often, since this place isnt near my home or work but Ill make a special trip just because its that good! Parking can be a little tricky, especially when USD is in session but its SO worth it if you can find a spot. Hint - theres a parking lot for store customers just near the trolley stop - then its a real short walk to the café. Theyll even lettuce wrap a sandwich if you request it. The So Cal is my personal favorite!

Horrible. It was 7pm and they don’t close until 9pm and they were out of the strawberry hibiscus drink. So I made myself an Arnold Palmer. I went back for a refill, and they were out of iced tea! It was busy and there were no tables, but an employee was just chilling at a table. At my old job, I was always told if a customer needs a table, you as the employee need to move. When they gave us our food, they didn’t tell us which sandwich was which. It’s was just one thing after the other. Horrible customer service.
