Had an order to go for lunch.Arroz con pollo was amazing. Lots of chicken, mushrooms and onions. My only suggestion would be more rice since the rice is in the name.Enchalada had lots of meat in it. Pretty good but red sauce could have more flavor. But very good.Lots of items on the menu I want to try. Will come again.

I visited this restaurant with my family. I ordered the Chile Relleno Burrito for dinner because it is one of my favorites. This was my first time here and if the Chile Relleno is good, then everything else is usually good too. The burrito had rice and beans in with the Relleno. I requested Chile Verde sauce on top. There was a nice amount of sauce with chunks of meat. They added shredded lettuce with the sauce, which was a surprise. I found everything to be excellent. My wife ordered a tostada salad. She enjoyed the generous helping of meat inside and said the flavor was wonderful. The price was surprisingly low when considering the large portions. I would definitely go back. This is my new favorite in Oroville.

This place is so over priced its insane. The food was not even close to good enough to be charging those prices. My $17 Carne asada fries were cold and mushy by the time it got them. Mind you there were only 3 tables seated. The burrito was full of bland rice. Then to make things even better, my niece noticed a piece of dust falling onto our table so we look up and its absolutely filthy. We couldnt get out of there fast enough! 10/10 do not recommend.

Great food at fair prices. Large portions. A little rundown inside but the architecture outside matches the whole shopping center.There are dishes on this menu l havent seen anywhere else and l believe come from the state the founders are from.Service is frequent and attentive.Bean dip with salsa and chips is a must try.

This place is awesome!! The restaurant was not too busy. It was very clean. We were seated right away and brought drinks right away. Our waiter was super nice and friendly! The food is absolutely delicious. The prices are to be expected. The portions are HUGE! Very happy with my experience there. Will definitely come back!

Went here for a family dinner; staff is always friendly, polite, and very helpful. The prices are very good and the food tastes great! The restaurant has a laid-back comfort kind-of-feel to it. I didnt give it 5 stars because they didnt have a baby changing station in the restrooms (my wife checked the females and I checked the males), so we had to change him at the table on a chair. Other than that, their service and food is great.

If I could give zero stars i absolutely would not hesitate!! Horrible customer service!! Ordered my food, it came out wrong and after I proceeded to inform my waitress if this she just walks off and doesn’t so much as acknowledge the fact that I had in fact received to wrong food and just walked away, as I waited the manager walks by and I grab his attention however it seemed to be an issue I had stopped him so I let him go drop off his tortillas to his table, he failed to ever come back and acknowledge me either!! To top it off they attempted to make me pay for food I diddnt even touch!! Not happening! Not one Ofer to make it right, not one acknowledgment from anyone about it! Highly disappointing! Will not return!

This is one of the better Mexican restaurants in the area if not the best. I usually stick to the Steak Rancheros but have had many other of their dishes as well. The shrimp and bacon is 🤌🏾 and the Caldo de Res is A+. If youre not a big eater then order the lunch size. Which is still a HUGE portion.

This is our first time trying this restaurant as we were in the mood for Mexican food. They bring out a small plate of beans, salsa and chips which we enjoyed. I always order cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. My husband ordered the lamb shank with Chile Relleno, the portions were very nice sized. Has a nice flavor and my husband was very happy as he is the picky one. They were very friendly, the place was busy and prices are reasonable. Our waiter was very tentative and saw to our needs. For sure will be going back. Took a picture of our dinner but I had already ate half of mine.

Wow!!!!! What a great place to have out of this world food. The dipping taco are a must have. They are not on the menu but you can order them. Customer service is outstanding and such a relaxed setting. I could not ask for anything more today. My needs and want for some delicious food has been met. Food was great tasting and the food portions were very large. I had the Pork Carnitas over sauteed veggies and a large salad (instead of the rice and beans).They only serve beer and wine so you can still get flavored Wine Margaritas that taste good (but with less alcohol).They have no outside dining but inside they still require masks and are seating people at every other table giving good social distancing.Overall we had a really good dinner with a lot cheaper bar tab. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is genuine Mexican food & extremely good at that. This has a nice atmosphere in a low traffic area, a nice variety in the menu, and excellent tasting meals. Thank for you all those taking photos as they do this location justice. Expect enough leftovers to eat another full meal & this is definitely a repeat location. Too bad this is about an hour from where I live, but well worth it. Caution: do not eat this before hitting the lake!

The food was overall good, However we were there for a birthday party, and my autistic 19 year old daughter ordered a kids chicken strip meal, and the waitress proceeded to argue with me and make my daughter feel bad for asking for that. Told her she couldn’t order that she’d have to order the big plate, because of her age, which was super petty, for that reason I will not be going back.

I order over door dash and I had to come in to get my order fixed the birro didn’t have any taco shells, they couldn’t/wouldn’t give me complimentary salsa with an order close to $100. The servers when I showed up to get my order fixed just gave me the minimum effort and told me I was going to be charged for salsa, even though they’ve given me complimentary salsa before (told me they’d only give us one 2oz for our entire four meals. I even gave 5 stars over the fact that we waited for 5 minutes without being acknowledged when we first got in, then a gentleman said hed be right with us but then it was another 5 minutes or so a woman server got to us and seated us right away.Totally worth that awkward not sure if they are too busy and we need to leave phase. Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Food was amazing. Service was even more amazing. Spinach and shrimp enchiladas were the best Ive ever had. Even the beans and rice tasted great. Chips were fresh, and they come up with thick, flavorful salsa. Theres even a plate with re-fried beans for chip dipping. I never have dessert in Mexican restaurants, but I did this time--friend ice cream. I didt know what to expect, but I was pleased.This Mexican restaurant is not eye-catching from the road. Waitress refuses to wait on your table, brings your food, comes back after 30 to 40 minutes to ask if youre ok AFTER youre finished with your food. Asked for a lemon for my ice tea...never got it. No refills on the drinks until we got ready to leave..waitress is short, short dark hair. Very uncaring about your stay...will never come back!!!! Before the current issue of a Pandemic, my wife and l made it a regular weekend ritual to eat there. At least one day of the the weekend. Their menu offers a full range of tasty meals. This is the best Mexican restaurant in Orroville hands down. If you have ever had authentic Mexican food from close to the border or in Mexico, this is as close as it gets. The staff are always friendly and helpful in substituting or adding stuff to your food. You can also often ask for things that arent on the menu if you are very familiar with Mexican cuisine. If you ever get that strong cheese craving this is the place to go.

Went in today (friday) with a few friends at 7:05. They stop seating at 7:30 and it was apparent they didnt want us there.After being ignored for 5 mins by wait staff standing at the door we left and went to casa vieja (only 5 mins away and great food and SERVICE!). This was my 2nd visit 2 Villarta. I was underwhelmed both times. This time I had ground beef enchilada with rice & beans. The rice was sticky w/no taste. The red enchilada sauce tasted like it came out of a can. Overpriced for the quality of food. I will not be recommending this restaurant to my friends.

Hands down, outof all the places I have been this is THE best Mexican restaurant. Everything is homade and fresh. The staff are super friendly and attentive to you and your table, even in a rush. Since happily discovering Vallarta Grill Restaurant, Ive come back nearly once a week to get my fix of their delicious food. The Birria (usually the days special) is always amazing and is sure not to leave you hungry. Prices are good, food is fantastic, in summation, Id highly recommend any and all to go.If you had the great displeasure of eating the food of the previous Mexican restaurant that occupied the same building (Hildalgos) and think it may be the same, I can certainly assure you that it is not.
