Vegan Thyme in Newbury Park

It was so hard to find a good vegan restaurant in california, until we found vegan thyme. I had the orange chicken and my girlfriend the tacos. Both were really good and you have to try the garlic edamame!

Staff is very friendly and attentive. Clean place. Spicy items are not spicy at all and I didnt find one Thai chili. Curry is terrible, not homogenized with the coconut, no seasoning or flavor and way too much oil. A lot of mushy food. Portions are too small to share. We usually go to Lotus Vegan in N. Ho. but wanted to give Vegan Thyme a try. I really wanted to like this place but wont be back till the recipes change some. The use of oil is out of control and there doesnt seem to be any fresh seasoning such as Thai basil for example nor a single Thai chili pepper. I really hope the recipes get better and this business stays awhile. We spent over $100. 😱 and still gave a generous tip. Please learn how to cook Thai food💕

Vegan thyme is one of my favorite places to eat! It’s vegan and gluten free friendly. Their staff is always so kind and understanding. Their food is amazing and their prices are great too! Highly recommend for vegans and non-vegans alike as their dishes are delicious even without the meat!

Best orange chicken Ive ever had - crispy and great flavor! Also, the Mee Kati (Beet-dyed Noodle) dish is really interesting - its my fave. The owners are so friendly, and I always experience great service. My go-to for Thai food in Thousand Oaks/Newbury Park.

Drunken noodle, delicious! Pad Thai, delicious! Classic wrap, delicious! Mango sticky rice, best weve had! Super impressed with everything weve had here. Love the new location and atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and proceeded excellent customer service! Looking forward to eating here again!

Must try orange chicken and also egg roll ..one of the best place in my list .

The best Thai food Ive had in a while! We ordered Drunken Noodles with soy-beef,the lunch special with Orange Chicken with wild rice, fried portobello mushrooms, and of course mango and Thai ice tea with boba.The drunken noodles were savory, the noodles were delicate and the soy-meat was tender. The orange chicken was sweet and crunchy. And the fried portobello mushrooms were crisp and tender. Thechicken and beef tasted like the real deal! Have to come back for more before we leave

Simply loved it. It was our first time visiting--we ordered a variety of food and loved the orange chicken, pad see ew (w/fried tofu), and drunken noodles (w/soy chicken). We didnt care for the avocado egg rolls or sweet potato fries as they were soggy, but feel they just didnt travel well and would have been good had we dined at a table there. We will absolutely be back and very much look forward to try more of the menu.

We have been going to Vegan thyme for a little over 2 years and absolutely love their food.We always get their tom yum soup with vegetables which is absolutely delicious.the papaya salad isRefreshing and nothing comes close to it. We also love their cucumber salad,Spicy basil fried rice,orange chicken and edamame. The service is great,the owners,2 beautiful young ladies are very attentive and the food arrives within minutes. We drive from simi valley pretty much every week for this place.keep up the good food and amazing service.

Very nice place!! Food was fresh and delicious. Orange chicken was on point! Great vegan place with lots of options to choose from. Decor was nice and service was excellent, will definitely come back when visiting the area.
