Great recommendations from owner. Friendly cozy atmosphere. Food is vibrant lot of color and flavor really fresh and hearty. Like most spots in the SGV everything priced from 4.95-13.95. This is really quality food come by and have a bite share good times.

I love this place. Ive been going since I was a little kid (that was 20+ years ago). The staff and service is always so friendly and attentive. I love their Bún Chả Giò Chay. Its my regular order! They have a solid selection of Vegan Vietnamese food and very affordable prices. If youre looking for real Vietnamese Vegan food, this is the spot!

This is a rare find and gem in South El Monte! If youre looking for vegetarian/vegan Vietnamese food, this is the place for you. Super affordable, fresh quality, and delicious.I ordered the popular dish Bun Bo Hue, Shredded Pork Spring Rolls, and a sugarcane drink. Total was $21.30. My thoughts:Bun Bo Hue ($7): yum! Im not an expert on this dish but the broth was yummy, great seasoning, enough spices (not too spicy), and big portion. Great amount of veggie meats, bean curd, mushrooms, and comes with a separate bag of shredded cabbage, bean sprouts, lemon, and basil. Amazing quality and valueShredded Pork Spring Rolls ($7 / 4x): really yummy and comes with what seems to be a vegan fish sauce along with pickled carrots and radish as a side. Very fresh and fillingSugarcane drink: I was most excited for this because it has been a long time since Ive had sugarcane juice. It was very light, refreshing, not sweet at all and was infused with kumquat! My first time having it like this and was a good mix! When I first saw the portion, thought wow. $5 for such a big cup! Only to find out that they fill the cup with ice MORE THAN halfway. Bummer but still delicious.Overall, YES PLEASE ORDER FROM VEGGIE LIFE. Very yummy. Please note: they speak limited English so cannot be too detailed or ask too many questions over the phone with them.

Deliciously tasty vietnamese vegetarian food. This hole in the wall restaurant is easy to miss if you are passing by on Garvey, but be sure to stop by as this food is tried and true as authentic food gets.Waiters dont speak amazing English so you might need to point at some pictures if thats all you speak.Lunch time gets packed so you might need to wait.

Have enjoyed every visit and am not a vegetarian; I like good vegetarian food as well as flesh food and want to eat less meat, so was pleasantly surprised at how much the chicken won tons tasted like real chicken. The ham rolls were very impressive too and also enjoyed the fried bean curd rolls, stuffed mushrooms were yummy. Definitely a place to return to. Chicken won ton soup my favorite so far.

It’s a small family business and honestly it gave a feeling of being part of a big family. Food is amazing, the staff is wonderful. To give you an example, when we walked in the staff were cutting fresh veggies in the back. That alone gave me confidence the food was going to be amazing! Support small family owned businesses! I absolutely loved the deep fried mushrooms. Good size and when you bite into them they arent too oily. Im a ranch guy though. Beyond that, I had the lemon grass chicken, fantastic, little salty for me (not salt guy), and the best part is that my stomach felt great afterwards. Highly recommend as a vegetarian, wife and her parents had the soups and popcorn chicken.

Me and my sibling went to get soup. I was trying to introduce him to vegan food because it was his first time. That was not the food impression I was trying to leave. It had a weird flavor, we got some soup with mock meat. It tasted like dirty socks. We could not finish it. I am surprised of all the great reviews but it was pretty gross.

I adore this place! The food is fantastic and inexpensive, not to mention that most of the food is made from scratch! The staff is extremely hard working from what I can tell and they are super polite. I highly recommend this place. It’s vegan and the food is to put it simply delicious. If you can go and try it out yourself you will know what I mean and fall in love with the delicious food!

While eating, I observed the workers slicing mushrooms at one of the dining tables. A mushroom rolled to the floor, and another worker picked up the mushroom, and simply returned it to the table, to be sliced up. Didnt even bother to wash it.

This is a casual and busy restaurant. The vegan menu is tri-lingual and each item has a picture. The food is delicious. The owner is the only persons speaks English (with heavy accent) and he is the cashier, is busy all the time. The waitress ladies are very nice, but they speak very limited English. The restaurant is packed, the tables are cleaned up even before you finish with your food.

Fantastic noodle bowls and excellent service. If you can go by the pictures and description in English them you are fine. If you have complicated questions like does this dish contain gluten? Them you may run into a language barrier issue. Just know that everything is vegan and delicious and you will be fine, 😚

Amazing and delicious food delivered by a hard working team. The arrays of flavors will take you to Vietnam for sure.I completely enjoyed all the dishes. The portions are excellent for the price.First had the mock beef noodle, bun bo hue, and that was supper good. The right amount of spice and lots of fresh items such as bean sprouts and mint basil.I later ordered another dish that I used to get in Vietnam. I comes with noodles, spring rolls, vegan beef, vegan fish sauce, pickled carrots and jimaca root, and a mocked shredded pork. It has a nice combo of sweet, sour, and a little spice.Wow! Sooooooo good. I could eat here everyday and not have the same thing twice.

Even though it might be difficult to communicate with the dining staff, the food is definitely authentic and excellent. At a low price, one has the opportunity to enjoy a variety of dishes, especially the Pho. Dont be wary by its B grade and expect an A grade quality of food.

Good food, good service. The guy usually there (not sure if owner) is really nice and goes out if his way for you and asks questions to accommodate anything. He speaks English but not everyone there does. Keep that in mind because itll be hard to ask questions about food but other than that its great. They may not speak English but they are super friendly to me .

At the corner of Gavey and Rosemead resides this Vietnamese Veggie place, a favorite of my family. We use to drive from West Covina to Rosemead all the time and now its becoming less frequent as more veggie restaurants are popping up like zits, thankfully speaking of course!Though the place isnt the fanciest or even the friendliest...all the ladies here look like they are mean mugging but maybe its just the culture..iouno.I still gotta commend their Veggie Pho as it is def hard to come by.
