Woke up feeling under the weather with a sore throat, so I decided to check this place out. Ordered the spicy chicken ramen and sat in the front right next to the cooks. The bowl of ramen was warm, hearty, flavorful and fulfilling. I left revitalized and rejuvenated. Would highly recommend checking this place out!

Absolutely delicious! Authentic Tokyo style ramen that didnt break the bank. My boyfriend and I had our own ramen and shared some appetizers. This is a definite spot for quick lunch dates. The service was so kind and the bathrooms were clean.

I kept passing this place and glad I finally came. It was cold and I came in as soon as it open at 5pm. The whole time I was here was nothing but phone calls, people dining in, and people picking up orders. That was for good reason.This place does not skimp on noodles. I got the spicy tonkotsu with an extra egg. It was delicious. The spice level is good and made my nose run a tiny bit. 10/10.They thought I was dining out but fixed it immediately for me when I told them otherwise. If you do dine out the food comes in a bowl and the broth in a container. They also bring out a tray to rest your utensils so they aren’t touching the table. The dining area is clean and there is a bathroom.I’ll be back again with my husband who is gluten sensitive. They have gluten free noodles!

I generally prefer ramen with thicker noodles, but theirs with the more soba-y noodles was absolutely delicious. Great texture and held onto the broth nicely.The staff was kind, polite, and efficient. I’d come by the night before in the midst of severe weather that California hasn’t seen in decades. I saw several patrons verbally accost one of the staff members (referenced as “grandma” in one of the other reviews here) for not seating more customers half an hour before close when many restaurants had closed much earlier in the day due to the inclement weather.Would happily come again.

The 4.4 is spot on. Inside there are a variety of seating arrangements from a bar up to maybe 10 seats but keep in mind, the place only fits a total of 20 people. It seems like more people go in for pick up but it has a good vibe.Both our dishes were great but nothing too special. Presentation is good but there is better ramen and my complaint is the pricing. Maybe it’s because you are close to the coast but spending $50 for 2 ramens and 2 beers is a bit superfluous to me. Now you know!

Delicious food: Japanese fried chicken was on point 👌🏼 my partner ordered chaku broth (plain) and he said it was amazing. I ordered the chicken dumpling soup, the flavor was perfect. Not too much of anything. The dumpling had a lot of flavor and a good texture.The service was just what we needed: attentive enough that our water was never empty but leaving us to enjoy our food and talk.Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Fabulous ramen. My partner had the vegan ramen and she said it was amazing.We waited for about 45 minutes to get in. The place has only 7 or 8 tables. Food came less than 10 minutes after we sat down.Bit of a hole in the wall kind of a place, which is part of its charm.

It was fine. Didnt feel terribly authentic. Noodles were overcooked. The egg was overcooked, yolk going green. Pork loin felt like its a deli slice of meat not terribly interesting. Soup was fine, well seasoned but flavouring more Chinese than Japanese. Karaage was massive. Both in portion and size of the pieces. A piece here would not be out of place in a KFC bucket in terms of size. Not terribly chopstick friendly. Front door is a bit slammy. Needs a door dampener, whole front window & seat shake anytime someone comes through.. Loud and annoying.

Probably the best ramen Ive tasted in the region. Broth is rich full of umami. The light salt versions seasoning is spot on. Bamboo sprout is absolutely crunchy and delighting. Very humble and friendly service gives you a comfort and authentic Japanese style feeling, which is very lacking in many Japanese restaurants.

Yes, yes, yes! If you’ve followed my reviews, you’ll know that I’ve been hinting for the best ramen broth everywhere I go, and when I get something that lives up to the potential, I’m ecstatic. This little shop near delivers. The pictures don’t do it justice, but there is SO MUCH flavor in the broth.If all you do is sip on the broth, you’ll be delighted. But everything else is also done with care, from the ice chilled mug that the drinks are served in to the service offering you the best options that actually are in your best interest.MUST go if you are in the area. Even if you’re not, come and enjoy! I know I will next time I’m back here.

Stopped by for lunch during a bike ride along the beach in Venice. Ordered the vegetable ramen. Broth was really delicious (not too salty) and the portion was very filling. Very friendly staff. I’d never had the style of ramen noodle served here before. Very thin and cooked to just the right texture. Will definitely come back.

I had the vegan ramen and it was extremely delicious. My boyfriend had the spicy tonkotsu ramen and said it was the best ramen outside of Japan that he has ever eaten.My tip for the vegan ramen: order additional tofu and seaweed as toppings. The waitress was super nice and immediately addressed my questions regarding vegan options.Perfect food, perfect service, always happy to come back.

It is good. Not one of the Top Ramen places but the basic is accurate, the broth is delicious and the noodles are exactly as they should be. The only thing I can say is about the absence of the black fongus - (the mashrooms) which I get almost everywhere else.

The Ramen is good here, and the service is fast. My only concern was.. I ordered the soba noodle ramen. But the noodles were not buckwheat. Dont care what was said on the menu, etc.. slippery, white, normal ramen noodles to me. Ive had buckwheat noodles. These were white and slippery, not grainy and tan/brown.I like to know what Im eating when I go out. I barely eat carbs.. but when I do, I want to do it right.

I tasted the vegan ramen as well and was impressed by the broth: smoky and flavorful.They have a small lot in front (Free). This place is good for solo diners or small groups. Easily the best salt tonkotsu ramen in Los Angeles. Everything is made from scratch and the chashu (pork) is the best I’ve had. This place can get crowded and they are often understaffed. The lady who works here handles both takeout and dine-in orders by herself, so be patient. The food is excellent and definitely worth the wait!

Ive been avoiding writing a review about this place because they have Great Ramen and the place is always full of people who also think that Venice has Great Ramen....The parking is not so great, minus a star, mind the homeless, the area has seen an influx in the already large population of homeless, its a sad suituation but maybe order an extra bowl for them. They will often bang on the window or scream into the restaurant.The service isnt the best and they have forgotten parts of my order, minus one star. The place is ALWAYS PACKED so seating can be an issue and added wait time, minus one star... They dont cook their pork on site which is weird...but hey, did I mention the Ramen is great?The Gyoza is awesome and very filling.My goto is the spicy ramen with extra pork and fried onions on top. FREAKEN AMAZING.Seriously there are a lot of things I think can be improved about this place but the bottom line is that they have some very legit and tastey ramen.

Only one server and two people in the kitchen with countless online orders, a full restaurant and 9 people waiting outside to be seated! THE OWNER of this establishment should provide adequate staff for such a busy place. We had to wait for over 30 minutes outside. The server purposely kept tables that became free dirty for over 10 minutes, rather than cleaning them to sit ne At some point . restaurant had 3 vacant tables. The server had to pack and give over 10 to go and couldn’t cope with the people already sitting inside the restaurant. She didn’t get one minute to clean empty tables so she could sit the people waiting outside. The ramen is good and the location is top, but just a shame that the service isn’t better because the boss doesn’t want to spend money staffing adequately.

Im a firm believer that ramen should have a soft boiled egg with a very runny yolk in it (Ill even take poached!) Amazing food and genuine hard-working staff.All the items on the menu are excellent and large portions. With just two employees at the time of visiting, they worked hard and quickly trying to be attentive to everyones needs. The seating was only available outside and limited, but easily available around 5 PM when we visited.The parking is limited as well, but it looks like cars would come and go frequently and the meters were all available too on the road.

Live right down the street, so I come here relatively frequently. Service is extremely quick and friendly.Dining area is fairly small, but there is a small counter seating area for solo diners. The place fills up, but Ive never had to wait for a seat.Restaurant has a small focused menu. I have tried a few different types of soup and the dumplings. I was not a huge fan of the dumplings. Soup is very good, although it can be a bit bland and Ive had better elsewhere.Is a bit overpriced compared to other hole in the wall Ramen places.

Excellent soup, one of the best Ramen Ive had. I like that they can adjust the the saltiness of the soup itself, so that if you happen to find it a little too salty for your taste, they have the same broth with much lower sodium you can pour over your order and adjust to your liking. This ramen was decent! My go-to place in the past recently seems to have changed management so Ive been exploring new stops on the Westside. I ordered online for pickup in advance, two of the spicy ramen and one of the classics plus gyoza and the fried chicken. When I got there, there was a decent line of people, the location seemed a bit short staffed for how busy they were. I cant really blame them because theyre well liked but it did take maybe 15-20 minutes past my (peak dinner hour) pickup time. Admittedly, ramen does not travel the best so you may have to heat up the broth once your home but it was still quite good considering that. I thought the gyoza and chicken were very good, too. My family enjoyed the spicy ramen but i cant personally comment on how it was.

Note, this rating is not necessarily saying that Venice Ramen is a “bad” restaurant, it’s not, but I will say that out of the 20+ ramen restaurants I’ve been to in LA, it was the worst. Slow service, flavorless broth, and an absolutely overcooked egg. If I’m looking for ramen on the Westside there are just too many other good options than this, with Moto Ramen, all of sawtelle, and even Jinya service a much higher quality product

I tried the spicy tonkotsu ramen. The broth was very nice. Full bodied with a unique flavor. It comes with half of a hard boiled egg instead of soft boiled. The pork slices were firm. The spicy pork adds a nice punch, but is not too spicy (maybe 3 out of 10). Service was good. Overall a fine experience.

This is small ramen bar that seats about 15-20 people at a time. The servers are nice and attentive to your needs. They will answers any question that you have regarding their menu. We ordered the fried chicken and Tonkotsu soy sauce Ramen. The fried chicken was near perfect! maybe one of the best that Ive ever eaten. When you bite onto it youll hear that perfect crunch and then BOOM a burst of pure juiciness and taste! As for the Tonkotsu soy sauce Ramen, well it was just meh i usually look for a more fatty pork chasu in my Ramen and they only offer the lean ones i think. It wasnt bad but it wasnt that good either. So if youre looking for a great Ramen Id say this might not be the place in my opinion but if youre looking for an excellent japanese style fried chicken then youve hit jackpot!

I would have given 3 stars for tonights experience, but I think they deserve the benefit of the doubt...I ordered my spicy tonkotsu ramen to go, so it suffered the inevitable difference in quality between food served fresh vs. served later... eaten from a plastic bowl with plastic spoon. Dining inside is not an option right now. That said, the broth and handmade noodles were really very good. I added an entire to-go container of hot oil and some fresh lime. It was so good I ate the entire bowl instead of my usual habit of saving half for later. I cant give it 5 stars because I have had other ramen that deserved the extra star, but I would be happy to have this ramen again.

We enthusiastically ordered some chuka soba, chicken ramen, and vegetable ramen. That enthusiasm slowly dwindled over the next 30 minutes as we awaited our food. It was disappointing to see people who came in after us get served first. More importantly, the food was not brought out to us at the same time. One of our party was served a solid 5 minutes before the rest of us. That said, the food itself was good.I would give it another shot - sounds like we came on just the wrong night.

Love this place! I have been to Tokyo a number of times and have been looking for ramen that gets even close to how its served in Shibuya. VENOCE Ramen brings me back! Its a small, warm and humid space (from the hot water baths) with just enough staff to run like a Swiss watch. They are precise and efficient so service is quick and the staff friendly. The ramen itself if also wonderful; the noodles are fresh and have good snap and the broth is not oily or oversalted so you leave feeling good! I got the spicy tonkatsu ramen and would get it again.

Some of the best ramen. The inside is small and cozy. Very friendly staff. I ordered the pork ramen and the waitress suggested adding spicy pork. It was an excellent choice. The noodles were thin and cooked in the bowl. Very fresh ingredients. The flavor of the broth left my mouth wanting more, which is unusual for ramen. Great place.

I really wanted to like it. I love ramen and spend alot of time in Venice/MDR. But I cant honestly recommend it. The noodles were mediocre and the broth was even worse. The ratio of broth to noodles was way off. It felt more like I was eating noodles that had a broth sauce than eating noodle soup. I dont understand all the positive reviews. Maybe they have never tried other ramen before? If you know what good ramen tastes like you will not like Venice Ramen. Unfortunately I cant recommend it and I cant say I will return.

The tonkotsu ramen broth is utterly delicious, clearly made with love, and addictive as hell. Its flavor is unexpectedly deep, with a creamy start and an unforgettable barbecue pork finish. The noodles are good too, but with broth this great they’re a side show. Authentic ramen, absolutely delicious. Tried the gyoza as well; excellent++. The chashu pork bowl had more generous cuts of tender marinated pork than I could possibly know what to do with it. Love that they offer more beer than just Japanese brands; I did see some bottles of Lagunitas calling me hither ;) Venice Ramen is run by one family thats been honing their craft with a handful of Tokyo-based ramen shops since 1994.
