2023-08-31 23:19:10Service was impeccable our waitress was so helpful and friendly! Food was wonderful !I got the catch of the day salmon. I will say the best I’ve ever had! My husband got the flat iron steak and said it was the best steak he’s ever had! Mind you he’s a smoke bbq master! We are on our honey moon and are going there again for our last night in town! 10/10 recommend!

2023-11-25 20:05:08Love this place. Food tastes like the chief likes food and wants to share what he likes with others. Nachos were great! Good seasoning in the meat and the right amount of everything including jalapeños! Clam chowder was in my tow two ever competing for the #1 spot. The carnita tacos had great flavor. The Mexican martini was also a nice surprise. Next time I’m in the area gonna come back and taste something else because this seems to be the kind of place everything tastes good! We also had a great view!

2023-08-20 04:27:42The location of this restaurant is outstanding with the endless ocean views are mesmerising ! Came for a team dinner, had a reservation so got a table at the back window by the deck overlooking the water. Our server was very friendly and the food was excellent! We had almost everything on the menu but the shrimp cocktail and coconut halibut was just spectacular. Enjoyed the desserts with a sunset by the ocean.

2023-09-21 18:46:13Talk about service with a smile!! Some places go out of their way to accommodate your requests, but Ventana Grill goes beyond that and they do it with a smile and curtesy that seems to be missing from a lot of restaurants these days. Our family member had access to the entire restaurant, balcony and all, in his wheelchair. When you throw in the delicious food and superior staff, its the place to go while visiting Pismo Beach. The bar and food menu are just right, not too much and not too little. The atmosphere was festive and incredibly enjoyable. I cannot wait to visit them again during our next visit.

2023-11-24 19:12:49We loved the Ventana Grill so much that we went twice during our visit to Pismo! The Ventana Grill is a two-story building nestled into the cliffside with breathtaking views of the Pacific. The restaurant has a decidedly Latin-inspired flair to the dishes it serves. While reservations arent required, they are highly recommended. My wife and I had reservations for the second night of our stay. It was already dark outside, so the views were muted. We started off with a bottle of Fableist Cabernet along with an appetizer order of Corn Dusted Calamari (tubes and tentacles). The calamari was paired with three dipping sauces: smokey chipotle aioli, citrus cocktail, and lemon caper tartar. The chipotle was my favorite. Along with our appetizer, a complimentary order of tortillas and three salsas was brought to our table. The three salsas are: spicy, medium (green), and mild. We sadly learned during lunch a couple of days later that the tortillas and salsas are only served for dinner. For dinner, I ordered the special, Surf & Turf, which was a hearty cut of Filet Mignon, grilled scampi, and asparagus. The presentation was wonderful and the flavor even more so. My wife ordered the Enchiladas Suiza with shredded chicken. She loved her meal. No dinner meal is complete without a dessert, so we opted to share the Mud Pie. The presentation and taste were fantastic. Two days later, we just had to go back for the calamari and the views. We went around lunch without reservations, but only had to wait 10 minutes or so. We were determined to order only the calamari, but wound up ordering meals as well. In addition to the calamari, we each ordered a glass of Sans Liege, The Offering, which is a red blend. For my meal, I ordered the Fish & Chips, but subbed the fish with shrimp. The shrimp were battered in the same way as traditional fish & chips and the taste was great. My wife ordered the fish tacos with cod. There was a bit of a mix-up with her fish: it was supposed to come battered but was grilled instead. She said the tacos were great though. We pointed out the error to our server, and she promptly brought another full order of fish tacos with the battered cod. This was boxed up for later! The ambience and atmosphere of the Ventana Grill was very nice and romantic. The views of the Pacific during our lunch were wonderful. We really enjoyed both of our visits to Ventana Grill. One final note: We stayed at the Seacrest Oceanfront Inn during our stay. Running along the coast from the Seacrest Inn to Ventana Grill is a nice walking trail with wonderful views. The walking distance along this trail to Ventana Grill is about 3/10ths of a mile. Our servers for both visits were very friendly, attentive but not intrusive, and even had good recommendations. We highly recommend Ventana Grill.

2023-09-02 21:31:57The service & food was great… it’s a beautiful place with an awesome ocean view. I did think it was kinda strange that the place was virtually empty (we were there pretty early for dinner after driving all day) & they ask if we had reservations. They put us at a table, which was ok - it wasn’t a problem. We got a 10% discount because we were staying at Shore Cliff Inn, which was nice.

2023-09-04 22:07:35Went to three different reservations. The sopes are great, the halibut ceviche is fresh, quesabirria tacos are great, and the enchiladas are wonderful. Three different wait staff, most memorable, was Esperanza. Great recommendations, and our hostess remembered us every visit. Plan for extra time as it is designed for you to take in the great view.

2023-10-17 18:14:30My favorite restaurant on the Central Coast. Always top shelf food, never disappointed. The service is always superior. The restaurant is hanging on a cliff over the Pacific Ocean. It actually feels like youre on a cruise ship.
