When I have pho the only things I expect to add are lime and a touch of Sriracha or Chilli garlic, as the broth itself should already be unique and delicious. This one wasnt. It was watered down. No flavor at all. Matter of fact it had a weird taste. I tried adding a little bit of everything, cilantro, basil, Chilli garlic, Sriracha, hoisin sauce, lime juice and I still couldnt get a good taste. I was wondering why I was getting a weird taste until I came back to my hotel only to realize that on my instagram picture, there were Hella bubbles on my broth. Of course it had to be from the dish detergent. Where else would the bubbles come from? I hope it wasnt spit lol. Anyways, service was good. Ambiance was also good because it was quiet and its a place where you can sit down and have a conversation. If I do go back again, itll probably be just to have a few beers. Because Im afraid to try anything else after the main dish pho special was a disappointment.

We’ve been here before, food has always been pretty good. Restaurant has always been clean. The decor is pretty simple, a lot like a single guy’s apartment right after the divorce. They could certainly kick it up a notch. We ordered four meals to go, everyone enjoyed their meals. The garlic noodles with the filet was the best meal.Service was very good, we will come back.

I’m always excited to see vegetarian options on the menu! I was out in Santa Maria for a doctor’s appointment and craving soup and comfort. I found this place via a Google search. I wondered where the heck I was going as I drove out there, and once I found it, it wasn’t well marked. It’s in a new business development and I almost said, forget it. But lo & behold it was sitting right there where maps said it should be.I was pleasantly surprised by the modern vibe with cool pendant lighting, art and good music. I ordered the vegetarian pho. It came with all the usual fixings on the side: fresh basil, chili peppers, bean sprouts, lemon slice. Also placed on the table was hoisin sauce, soy sauce, chili paste and Sriracha. My dish had noodles, broccoli, tofu and carrots… I know I’m missing something. Anyhow, mix that all together for the most fresh, delicious and comforting meal. I’ll be back. I might even try one of their Viet Kitchen Cocktails or a glass of wine.

I waited too long to come. I absolutely love the lantern lights, and the ambience there! The waitress was super sweet and helpful, very accommodating. We ordered the wings appetizer with their sweet and spicy sauce, Pho Special, and the Pan Fried Ramen. And they have Bendy Straws!! None of them disappointed at all! Definitely recommend for Pho lovers! I went in sweats and a T-shirt I did not feel over dressed nor under dressed. It’s very casual friendly. I will be coming back to try more of their menu pho sho! 🍜

Overall: I went on a Friday night at 5 pm, right when it opened. Service was speedy, probably one of the best broths I have had, too pricy for the quality, and the portions were small. :) If you are used to having good pho at a mom and pop pho place, this is not the place :). Next time, I wanna try Al Pho in Santa Maria. Of course, there arent many options.Food: I ordered the pho special in store and it was good. However, for me, the noodles were already stuck together and it was difficult to celebrate. I WILL say, one of the best broths I have ever had. It was mild but FULLL of flavor. However, I ordered extra veggies and the portions were still small. A little sad about that. I also took a chicken vermicelli home. Again, it only filled me up for one meal and the salad was just shredded lettuce. I am used to a mixed veggies in Viet food that makes it so healthy. +1 starsStaff/Service: I got seated almost immediately. They got me water and my order quickly and my food was out within 5 minutes. They also got me my check pretty quick...almost too quick.... . They were nice and friendly overall, different from the other comments I saw on Yelp. +1 starsLocation/Ambience: Located in a small strip mall, plenty of parking. The inside was very clean with pretty lanterns and a part of the restaurant has big speakers...like it was for a big party. +1 starsPrice for Food: For the portion I received and the quality of the food, I dont think the price matched. I am used to eating pho in San Diego and Irvine sooo..it is difficult to compare. Lack of variety of veggies, and besides the broth (which again was one of the BEST) everything else was subpar and felt like it was more like a Viet food...adopted to American style/likings.

Big space. Attentive staff. Pho was just ok. Wings were crispy but I didn’t like the marinade/sauce on the chicken-a little too fishy.

Update on 24 May 2020: Right now they are takeout only. I attached three photos of the menu that I took today. They ran out of copies of their takeout menu, but it is the same as the attached photos. I did not photograph the beverage menu.Previous review from a year ago:I got the number 15, Pork Chop Rice Plate. Excellent! $11.50 I will be going back.

Recently, my family and I moved from Oroville to Santa Maria, and we needed to find a great Asian restaurant. There are a few to select from and we chose the Viet Kitchen. I am an advid eater for pho noodle soup. The pho at this restaurant is for real. The soup base is made from bone marrow. Very, very delicious! I recommend the #8 Pho Special. In addition, the BBQ spring roll is light, nutritious and delicious. Great taste! The last order was the roast pork sandwich. Ingredients used are fresh and the texture of the bread was just right. Very well put together ingredients for this yummy sandwich. Overall, great food! As for the price, I have paid less at other cities but well worth the price and taste. If you havent tried this restaurant, now is the time, as the weather is getting colder. The pho soup will satisfy your appetite. 5 star!
