Its a place that looks like a house converted into a restaurant.Place was actually packed but we still decided to dine in.Friendly staff, sat us and took our order right away.Got egg rolls, spring rolls, b14 (wonton noodle soup) and b26 (vermicelli with everything)Egg rolls are different than anywhere else I know, but they are delicious in their own way.Spring rolls are fresh, wife loved them.I love b14, I order extra noodle with mine and its very good. Kind of like ramen but not.B26 has lots of things going on, interesting combination.Overall, great food, great place to eat at.

Literally obsessed with Vietnam Bistro. Any time I feel sick or I’m just feeling emo i come here because it provides an atmosphere of healing. The staff is so kind and service is a 10/10 every time 💯 the B12 pho has saved my life on multiple occasions, and they always bring me extra toppings free of charge because they know I mean business. I can’t think of enough good things to say about this establishment, if you haven’t gotten pho here yet … THIS IS YOUR SIGN 🍜💕🙌🏼

Food is very good. But what I found ridiculous is the drinks prices. Come on $3.75 for a a lemonade in a basic-service restaurant. Advice: make the drink under $2, you are not fine dining to sell a soft-drink for that price.The Calamari was very good, the combo noodle dish (which I had there before ) is also very tasty and worth trying.

Food was FANTASTIC! Everything is fresh and fullllllll of flavor. Also the menu was reasonably priced!! For 2 bowls of Pho and 4 orders of sides we paid $54. That’s insane with how much inflation has made food cost. Had we only gotten the pho it would be under $30. I’m definitely coming back any chance I get, 10/10!

Honestly, the best Vietnamese food in Chico! The bun bo hue cant be beat, their egg rolls are deliciously crispy, and their summer/salad rolls are delightfully fresh and light! Weve really grown to love this restaurant and have been back many times and will continue to do so in the future!

You’ll miss this place if you’re not careful. A small driveway takes you around back to the parking lot. At first glance I wasn’t that impressed but once we took a look at the menu we were pleasantly surprised by the variety of dishes. The beef ball pho had a rich broth and really hit the spot. The chicken curry dish was probably the tastiest curry I’ve ever had. Fresh spring rolls had a tasty peanut chili sauce. Egg rolls both begin and pork were also so fresh and crispy. Loved the special attention from the server and cook who came out to make sure we were enjoying the meal. Looks like a family very invested in providing a traditional and authentic meal at a good price. Very satisfying meal and will go back again to try some of the other dishes.

Lol some lady came in and caused a scene and parked on the side of the road where cars are driving just so she can yell at the waitress. She also left her kid in her car where it is very much at risk to being hit by traffic. My food was delicious tho!!! My boyfriend and I love coming here!

Best pho place!!! The broth is the best, says husband. Hes now found his new favorite place. I ordered the vermicelli noodle with eggroll choice of meat was pork. Very very delish. Appetizer was eggrolls and fries (not pictured). Chicken pho and the chefs special pho that had everything in it, then last dish was a rice dish, I do not remember what it is but this place is the best if your looking and craving for pho.

If you have never drifted far from the Chico area, I can see why this place would good. It’s pretty average taste, lacked meat, 3 slices, really!? On top of terrible customer service: no utensils, no water, and no condiments for my soup. Not ADA assessable, would never come back or recommend. Plenty of other places that would treat you better and probably give ya more bang for your buck.

Called in a pretty straightforward 2x pho and appetizer order on a Tuesday evening and was given a 25 minute pickup time. Showed up at around the 20 minute mark and had to wait close to another half hour after paying for our order. Im not sure exactly what the issue was, but about 5-6 people were waiting on their orders with a partially full dining room.One gentleman said he had been waiting nearly an hour without an explanation and asked for a refund before leaving.I think the most frustrating part was that the staff didnt even acknowledge the excessive wait time, much less offer an apology or explanation. Maybe they ran out of stock and needed to make more? Or maybe they just had a lot of orders and were backed up? Either way, it would have been nice to at least have it acknowledged. Its pretty reasonable to expect a heads up from a business if an order or service is going to take longer than originally quoted, regardless of industry.Also, Id recommend waiting to pay for your pick up order until they present your food to you, that way they cant pull the same thing. The hassle of asking for a refund... Theyre counting on it being less awkward for you to just wait it out.Honestly, they should just tell you right away if they cant fill your order when you show up at the time they told you: were a little backed up/understaffed, its going to take a bit to get your order, Ill keep you updated.Most people are pretty reasonable and would be pretty understanding about waiting for fresh food, which this very much is (the pho was pretty tasty), rather than have to sit there waiting for who knows how long because the staff certainly arent saying. Just disappointed with the service and lack of professionalism during this instance.I hope they do better moving forward.

To me the food is 5 out of 5 stars because the food here is super good and staff is very great I’ve been coming here for a while and their Vietnamese food is one of the best in town the reason why I put 4 out of 5 stars tho is because the to go portion size is very small not compared to if you sit in and I’ve sat in a lot but most of the time I get to go orders and I feel like I always get ripped off on the size portion because the way they pack to go orders but when you get it to go you don’t really get much food due to their style packaging and also they need to update their prices now because it used to be the best spot for great food for cheaper price but now their prices went up drastically from like 8$ to 13$ and they have such small to go portions so that’s my only big complaint! I didn’t care much when it was 8$ or wen it raised to 10$ dollars because it was really good and still better then a lot of places but now that its 13$ plus tax so the portion part needs to be stepped up and they just need to take everyone’s opinions into consideration so that’s my honest review and positive criticism

I called in my order. D5 Soda Lemonade Ice (soooo good), A9 Chicken Wings (don’t waste your money, they were dry and not flavorful) plus the B11 Pho with Filet Mignon (delicious). I called and was told a 25 min wait, got there 30 mins later and still had to wait another 15 for my order. Service isn’t the greatest. But would go back for the Pho and soda.

I must admit, better than our go-to Vietnamese restaurant in Sacramento. The vermicelli bowl with beef and shrimp was stellar. The beef was in small bite-sized pieces and impeccably tender and seasoned. The staff were very friendly. If you want great food, especially for great value, this is the place. Enjoy!

Updated 6-23-22.I tried their spicy vermicelli soup (B7), and it was quite good. The portion was generous, with rare/unusual cuts of meat that I enjoyed. The noodles were firm, rather than soggy. The broth could have been more flavorful, but it was good nonetheless.I would avoid the stew, unless they have changed their recipe since my last review. It was pretty bad.

Based on the positive reviews I had really high expectations. I ordered grilled shrimp, chicken that came with salad and noodles. I received 3 skinny dried pieces of chicken pieces and 4 tiny shrimp. The container however was stacked full of lettuce and bean sprouts. The chicken curry was flavorful, spicy but a bit oily. Lastly they should get a website that lists their menu items. I will try a different restaurant for Vietnam food in the future

I wouldnt know if it was specifically the shaken beef because thats what I ordered but I feel ripped off paying 15$ each for a literal handful of good but nothing special beef, mostly rice and a peice of lettuce, when teriyaki house is cheaper and has quadruple the amount of food so in the end I was left pretty disappointed. I usually go here for pho, but today, I walked in and the lady looked at me and said “oh my god, you got fat and your face” (started puffing her face). I don’t know what her intentions were but I was not greeted but instead judged by my physical appearance before she sat me down with a menu. I felt so discouraged to eat there and could not finish my meal so I paid and tip quietly before leaving. I don’t want to support a business who makes their customers feel uncomfortable. My last time going here.

We love this place! The service is always great and the food is always delicious. It has a casual atmosphere that makes you feel like family. The place is clean and staff are helpful. Im glad to see that they are finally getting more busy. Parking is a bit tight but if you are able to, you can park by the theatre and cross the street. They have great vegetarian options too!

The most legit phô in town. The chef special soup is otherworldly good. Their egg rolls may be the best I’ve ever had. Their sauces for all their roles are stellar. This place is so delicious. I do wish I could know more of their sourcing and the level of food health. As far as I can tell their food and ingredients seem fairly healthy but they dont really tell you where it comes from or what the ingredients are (are they natural? Im not 100% sure). I am huge on needing to know the source and ingredients so I dont eat here often but I can tell you taste wise they are among the best in the Vietnamese restaurant business. And not only that their little restaurant is a very cute and a nice little place to eat.

The food is awesome and I will be a frequent customer! I really dont mind waiting for an exceptional meal, but...Restaurant Golden Rules -Drinks come first, all of them at once. Make them all – then deliver them.Utensils should be brought at this time if they aren’t already on the table.Condiments should be brought at this time if they aren’t already on the table.Appetizers (if ordered) come next, again, make them all and deliver all at once – before the meal.Main course is brought out to all the customers at (reasonably) the same time. No more than a couple of minutes between the first one and the last one.“It’s better to eat cold soup than to eat soup alone.”Dont forget to walk the room and check every single table multiple times to see if everything is OK.P.S. Lets break it down for my 1/12/2020 visit. They didnt have enough money to heat the restaurant sufficiently. The decor was Modern Prison. The young man server and older woman server were very unhappy. The guy server needs training. The Tofu Veggie Soup bowl was delicious with lots of veggies and broth, although the number of tofu pieces amounted to about 5.

One of the best pho in Chico. We tried their pho and spring rolls. They both are delicious. Their broth is unique and did not taste like store bought common broth like you would find in some pho places. The price is decent and owners are friendly and polite people. Food is very good and very fresh. I would have given them 5 stars but they have some operational issues. It is confusing to the customer whether you are supposed to sit at a table or order at the counter. Some signage would help. They only have one server which is not quite enough because you end up waiting too long to place an order and to get your final bill. Suggest having customers order and pay at counter to keep prices low. Server can run the food to the tables. Regardless I will still go back.

We arrived at 5:55. Told to sit wherever we wanted. We chose table 5 by the front door. Waited 5 minutes for menues, ended up getting them ourselves. Waited 15 minutes for water. Another 5 minutes to place our order. Now, there is only one server, and 12 people (including us) inside. We ordered Spring rolls, sizzling crepe for apps. Dinner was Chicken Curry, hard to cut the Chicken with a spoon...and mine was soup. And Chicken and Shrimp Udon soup. Both were delicious. But the Crepe came after we were done eating our mains and was greasy... for me. Cant beat the price considering how much food you get. Our server was very nice and has a great smile. I would definitely be eating here again.

Short staffed. I had to wait a long time to pay for my food that I have ordered ahead of time. Only one person spoke English and he was the waiter and cashier, hence the long wait. The kitchen staff didnt look like they practice good hygiene. I saw my lady touching boxes/plastics before grabbing lettuce leaf for my egg rolls bare handed... The place was clean. The waitres was helpful and nice. The pho was good at this location. This is the 4th Vietnamese restaurant that Ive visited in Chico. Compared to the others the amount of pho given to us was the smallest in town. I paid $3.50 extra per bowl for extra shrimp. One bowl had 4 shrimp the other 6. I always ask for the vinegered onion and this is the first spot that didnt have it. They didnt have all the ingredients that you usually get at the other pho locations. I will go again and try something else next time but this is not a place I would recommend for pho.

This place is quaint. The staff is friendly and the food is very good. You can call ahead and your oder will be ready when you are. I reconend the veggie pho it is excellent. The broth is clear and full of flavor. Mixing in the thai basil, bean sprouts, cilantro and jalapeno brings the flavor profile up a notch. Though the broth is perfect on its own it comes with a sauce you nay add if you like. And the spice level is up to you. The tofu is firm and really good. Trust me this is one meal you should try at least once.

Best Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine and all I can say is Im satisfy whenever I go there. They have the most popular appetizer like Bánh Xèo- which its Savory Vietnamese Crêpes, this popular dish called Bún Bò Huế is pretty popular in the city of SF and other big cities and different types of savory spring rolls that other places dont have in this small city here. 👍👍

Food here tastes really good. I think this is the best place for Vietnamese food in Chico. I recommend the chefs special noodles and vermicelli rice meals.
