Tldr: if you value your time and money, dont go here. I have never heard of waiting for an hour plus for food at a Vietnamese restaurant.We came here to get takeout for the family, a simple order of a pho, a banh mi sandwich and two spring roll appetizers. When we got there, there were people sitting at tables and similarly, putting in to go orders.30 mins later, no news. No food. For anyone. More people began piling up to dine in, pick up to gos and online orders. We were all waiting.A total of 45 mins later, we finally got our food... But they forgot our spring roll. The waitress put the food down in front of us, (didnt apologize or explain) and hurriedly took down what we missed. Theres some yelling in the kitchen, some chaotic flurries of taped order tickets and waiting hungry customers. At this point, there were a few to go orders and one table served. Majority of people were still waiting with no food.After waiting for another 15 mins, and watching them pack up about two more (large) online orders, we left. We couldnt wait anymore because the kids at home were hungry and we needed to go.On principle, as a business practice, they should have alerted customers that something was wrong in the kitchen and/or that it was backed up. They should have stopped seating new customers when they already had a large backlog. They should have apologized and should have respected their customers time. There should be an organized order-taking system for online orders, take out orders and dine in customers. They did none of these things. (And look, Ive worked at a restaurant. I get when things go down, but you set expectations for your customers, apologize, and theyd understand.).Also, we did eat their pho (for $12 a bowl). There were exactly two slices of beef and two pieces of tendon. For the banh mi, for $7, its a total joke at how small it was (see picture with my finger for scale).I wont be coming back again. And would caution others from this experience too. There are better Vietnamese places. Period.
I ordered and I was told that dish is too long to make. I was like uhm oook so I just walked out. Also prices are exorbitant. I found better places with good price and selection. No bueno.
We showed up exactly at 5pm when they open for dinner, seated promptly & served very fast! This was my first time here & I was beyond impressed by the quality & flavor of the food. I ordered the BBQ beef sandwich & the pho Bo Vietnam.First off, the beef in the sandwich was perfectly marinated and cooked to perfection. The vegetables were so fresh. The broth of the pho was hands down the best Ive ever had! Its been 2 days since I went & I already want to go back to get my fix. If you get the chance & want to try something new come here, you wont be disappointed.
It is not opened by the Vietnamese at all, and the things made are unpalatable and not fresh
The goi cuon (summer rolls) are the star! They come with the crispy rolls inside. The pho and vermicelli bowls are great. We also tried the chicken salad and it has become one of our favorites too. The service and ladies who work here are so sweet and hardworking. Love this spot.

This spot has the best pho and fried rice in SoCal. The pho has such a clean taste to it. The fried rice comes with ribeye and has such a nice, almost like char flavor to it. You also need to try the sweet and sour shrimp. Those are on another level! 10/10 and will keep coming here!
The service is ALWAYS so great! Loved the waiter she gave my son a bowl with soap that was not hot so he didnt have to wait to eat. It was so sweet of her and the service was beyond amazing! After a long day we had the PHO soup hit the spot! Thank you so much for the great service

Had a great meal at a great price. Will be back to try some other items on their menu.The iced coffee was interestingly strong and sweet, overwhelming any other flavors of the meal. Itd be nice to sip on its own on a warm day, however. The restaurant doesnt smell like coffee though so I figured its probably made from some powder mix. Next time I might pass on it.
Tell the truth I was not impressed, I would have left two Stars except most people give this place a pretty good review. But the quality and quantity of my combination to go plate did not impress. It had four small shrimp and a scoop of some kind of sliced beef and a plain unimpressive salad and a whole bunch of rice. I know they have an extensive menu just review only applies on the concerns my personal experience.
Very average vietnamese food. They have been in business sine 1999 which is a surprisesince that they lasted this long.Hint. If someone opens another viet restaurant nearby. Youd make a killing because there is no competition nearby.Eggrolls have a lot of black pepper so it i spicy.
Ive been here many times before and their service goes above and beyond every time. Today, I drove an hour to get there for a takeout and it was great to be back. The ladies who run the place are amazing and so thoughtful. The food was, also, top notch! It was still fresh after driving another hour to get back home. Ill be coming back soon! Thank you!
This place so far is the best pho Ive ever had at a great price as well. Theyre Thai tea is awesome. She blends it with ice so its like a slushy. Coconut water is great. Lets just say u cant go wrong with anything u get here!
I wish I could review the food, but we never got a chance to dine here. We sat down on a Sunday evening, there was an empty table, but we never got waited on. No menus, no service, no one even making eye contact with us. They were not busy enough to be ignoring us.So we left after 5 minutes. Unfortunate experience.
Both my sister and I had bowls of the Rare Steak Pho. The portions were slightly larger than most places, but also not the largest Ive seen. The broth of the Pho was a bit on the sweeter side and overall had a very light taste. It also took longer for the steak to cook as the broth was not boiling hot, but the steak was more tender with the cooler broth. Still a good flavor, just not as strong as I am accustomed to. We also ordered the fresh shrimp spring rolls and they were very plain. Lettuce and shrimp wrapped around what looked to be an eggroll wrapper, then all that wrapped in the traditional rice wrap. Food was not great, but not bad either. Had my fill of pho, but I didnt bother to bring home the remaining broth or the left over rolls. Prices were on par with like establishments. $11 for a bowl and $5 for the rolls.
Excellent food. We come often for the chicken pho--great flavor, good veggies. And tonight I tried the beef saltado--wow. Delicious! (Only available on weekends). I dont understand why a vietnamese place sells Peruvian saltado, but it rivaled the best Peruvian saltaldos Ive had in LA. Service was a tad slow tonight but if you want fast food, go to Panda Express. If you want good food, sit down, shut up and wait for it.

If you have not tried the chefs special yet, do it now! Its seasoned fries drenched in creamy jalapeno sauce with your choice of meat. Theyre the best thing in the world. Keep in mind that they only serve it on weekends.

All information was provided for me by a customer who happens to be a very close friend.The both of us have been frequenting this restaurant for years. The food is good to satisfactory (3-4 stars) and the customer service is average to below average.My friend has been employed and paying into the system for close to 30 years and has never applied for unemployment benefits until recently, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.Attempting to use her Visa debit card issued by the Employment Development Department, she was rejected by the server/cashier.Perhaps, someone can inform this person (moron) that VISA has been accepted worldwide for the purchase of goods and services for over half a century.
Im here to wax poetic about their ribeye lomo saltado because in my opinion, this dish is the best thing on the menu! Sure, most of the menu features Vietnamese dishes, but after having tried lomo saltado at various restaurants doing Peruvian cuisine in the SGV, no one so far has seemed to able to meld the flavors of this dish together quite like Vietnam Kitchen does.At first glance, the stir fry looks like what you would see in a classic lomo saltado recipe: thinly sliced tender ribeye, tomatoes, sliced red onions, French fries, green onion, cilantro, garlic, soy sauce and vinegar. But the fries magically stay crispy all the way to the end of your meal, a deeply flavorful sauce deliciously coats every bite, the tomatoes are cooked to the perfect texture, and did I mention the fries somehow defy logic and stay crispy?Comes with a side of fragrant rice that I believe is cooked in chicken stock, and a creamy green sauce that lightly complements this dish. You will likely have leftovers as well! Theres a small staff here so sometimes you will have to call several times before someone can take your order, but your patience will be rewarded with a wonderfully delicious ribeye lomo saltado!
Best Pho in the Arcadia area.Broth is very good. Although it can be low on the salt side, but they provide fish sauce should you wish for more salt.Atmosphere is fair, so not so great if youre trying to impress your date. Okay for casual meetings, its not very noisy and is good to conduct non-sensative business.The food quality is amazing!Great rice dishes, great Pho, great prices!Be sure to bring cash, this place is cash only.Meals for 2 will run around the $20 range.

Its always a great find when its local and a small mom and pops restaurant.It was a random Sunday evening and the neighbors wanted to grab a bite to eat, after trying to find a few places we stoped by Vietnam Kitchen. Being that it was my first time trying this type of food (including Pho) I was happy with our decision to dine here. Walking in we were immediately greeted by this lovely older lady, she was sweet and very welcoming. It wasnt what seemed like a busy night but for one person and a few tables full I guess it can be a bit of work, so we waited a few minutes before we were brought menus and drink orders were takin. Atmosphere was very relaxed and old, which kinda felt welcoming. Once we got or drinks we placed our orders and with the help of my neighbors because theyve had Vietnamese food before it was rather easy to order and try some new things. The food came out rather quickly, so I heard its rather easy to make pho. My pho was so delicious, the broth was very flavorful. The pho reminded me of something that would be great to have while feeling sick or a long night of drinking, kinda like our Mexican menudo. I couldnt stop trying all the side dips (if they call them that) each one of them was better and better.You cant beat the prices for the portion of food, good deal!Yes I left a happy customer and cant wait to return.

I went there twice. The first time I went the owner who took my order (take-out) was very rude, she didnt smile, say thank you, make small talk or anything, even though I did. She probably profiled me for being a spoiled American. idk. On my way home I thought I would never go back there but when I ate the Pho I ordered I was amazed! Ive ordered pho at about 30 places, but this has been the best so far.The second time I went back I had dine-in with my parents, and it was just as good and the same lady that took my order waited our table and she was being pretty nice. Idk if she was having a bad day before or because she wanted a good tip after, but i dont care the flavor of the pho completely made up for it. Not to mention both times I went I didnt have to wait long for my food, and she would walk by to check on us pretty frequently.The Decor was pretty tacky, but not disappointing, after all its a Vietnamese restaurant in the suburbs, not a Japanese restaurant downtown. At least it was clean and well organized.

Service is efficient and polite.This is probably the top 5 vietnamese restaurants in the 626 imo.Summer rolls have the crunchy mini egg roll inside the roll. Which I ❤️. Its a must, in my opinion (imo), for all summer rolls.

They’ve kept to their original recipes, most food items and happens to have the strongest and best Vietnamese iced coffee in LA, imo. Their portions are generous and the staff is always friendly. Lunch times are typically slammed with call-in and to-go orders (so just be mindful as most places get slammed during lunch). Dinner is always a great option to come and dine-in. Overall, best Vietnamese restaurant for me and I’ve tried many throughout LA.

They were so tasty, good and delicious.This place was getting busier during lunch hours and dinner times so try to get here a little earlier. Make sure you ask the servers for suggestions if it is your first time. Foods were good and very friendly services. I tried a brand new dish with meats wraps and seaweed, it was different in flavors wise . It all came together when you dipped it with special sauce. It tasted so good when I added more spicy into the sauce . It brought up the heat to higher level of enjoyment. My things. Back for more Pho.

I always get the chicken pho, and my partner always gets her pho with tripe. Love how the basil plate always has the freshest selection of basil and beansprouts. Weve also been ordering their Cajun shrimp, which is also excellent. Service is efficient with no frills. Place is squeaky clean!

2021-11-23 00:24:48To me, the most important aspect of pho is the broth, and this restaurant has one of the deepest and richest broths Ive ever tasted. It touched my soul in a way that only a few other phos have accomplished. But after sipping this broth, I was just as blown away by the crispy & hot egg roll.The restaurant is run by a very sweet but also stern & no nonsense Vietnamese auntie. She was the only waitress when we went so please be patient when the restaurant gets busy.The food is a little pricey but its also very filling so its definitely worth it in my opinion.

Perhaps the best Ive had (and Im picky about the charbroiled meat flavor).I havent tried the pho because I keep getting this same thing.A bit more than Im used to paying for vietnamese food but the flavor makes its worth it and you get your moneys worth with the portions imo.Definitely recommend!

Easy to find parking and the place wasnt busy so it was fast paced to get seated and order.Ordered the grilled pork roll and a beef banh mi which was great. The grilled pork portion in the nem noung was a bit lacking while the veggie portion was overstuffed, but overall the flavor profile was decent with the sauce. The banh mi was smaller than a Lees sandwich banh mi but still packed with flavor.Overall, not my grilled pork roll spot, but I would get a banh mi again.

2020-08-08 15:50:07Sandwich was a little dry for me but the service was good. Took my order and I waited looking at the beautiful mountain side.They set the jalapeno outside the bun for those who cant eat spicy so that was thoughtful.Cool down with coconut juice.
