Charming old school atmosphere with Italian music, nice touch. Owner is friendly enough. Ordered the seafood plate. He brought his homemade rolls out. There were just good. Disappointing because the two sizes of shrimp and tiny bay scallops were seriously overcooked with old mushrooms. The penne pasta was overcooked but the zucchini ribbons were delicious!!! I want to like this place it’s cute but the food has to get better!!

My fiancé and I had lunch here on our drive to San Francisco. We were blown away by the attentive and friendly service, and the best carbonara I’ve had in some time. I would highly recommend for a cozy spot for lunch or dinner!

So the meal I ordered, which is the photo, was the Tortellini Romana. IT WAS AMAZING!!! So incredibly yummy and the perfect portion size for me. My mom got the eggplant parmesan and it comes with a side of linguini marinara and she thought it tasted really good, I had a little bit and it was indeed yummy. My dad and husband ordered the Ravioli Aurora and both added meatballs. That dish, sad to say was not great. The meatballs were bland, literally no flavor and the ravioli was ok but kind of cold. I would definitely go back though, the service is great, the ambiance is lovely. One not so great dish is not enough reason to not go back. Definitely get the Tortellini Romana though, its got bacon, peas, cream sauce, and sprinkled with prosciutto. Super tasty!!! 😋

Came here because of the reviews but the food was a disappointment while at least for my honey and I . But as we looked around we noticed this is more for the elderly not too much salt in the food. It was fresh and hot don’t get me wrong the flavor just wasn’t it from but the food looked beautiful 🔥 and the girls were awesome for only being two and start getting busy.

As a first time customer, Ive heard great things about this place. We came later in the evening and couldnt be more happy with my experience. We enjoyed our food and loved the wine! Ive never had zinfandel but the salmon creek brand they had was a great introduction to it!The ribeye was well seasoned and priced fairly. Dont even get me started on the pasta and veggies! Will definitely be coming back!

Delightful place with delicious food. The handsome man out front is so very kind and friendly. Even the cook, whom I never saw, but I could hear her and she was lovely in her laughter and banter. So ignore the haters or the senior citizen haters. This is a fine place.

Wow. Such a great little treasure. The atmosphere is very nice. Our host/waiter was very personable and attentive. The food was fantastic. The rolls are homemade, and you can tell. I had the linguini carbonara, and it was the best Ive ever had anywhere. The meatball trio was a real treat. Three meatballs, in marinara, Alfredo, and creamy pesto. For dessert, the tiramisu. We got it to go, but I ate half before we left. It too was the best I can remember ever having. This is, hand down, my new favorite Italian restaurant. I cant wait to go back.

My first experience there was not a good one. 😞 we sat down at our table, and they were not ready. There were no table settings, no menus (we had to ask for them). We finally asked if we could order since we were limited on time. They ran out of lemon and salad. When our food arrived, they forgot to put in my order of meatballs. The staff were nice, but the service was extremely slow, and they should be more attentive to details

Ok……DISCLAIMER……..Not a basher here by any stretch of the imagination. First, and only time here. The resturant was quaint and clean, and the service was really great! But, we went there for our Italian food fix, and were quite dissapointed! My wife had fettuccini alla bolognese, and although the pasta was perfectly al dente, the sauce was virtually tasteless and quite salty. I had the lasagna di carnevale, and as far as lasagna is concerned, this was by far the worst I’ve ever tasted! Not too sure what the ingredients consisted of, but the taste was overwhealmingly sour……like very heavy on the sour cream! It was hot out of the oven though, and there was meat inside, but the sausage and beef seemed to be ground together in a mixture that wasn’t pleasing…….which with the sauce made for a not good tasting dish!I know there are good reviews for this place, and maybe we just hit them on an off night…..Also, I grew up in an Italian family, with BOTH sides of grandparents coming from Italy…….so…….

I absolutely love, love, love Villa Napoli!! The food is amazing, the staff is great, the environment is super cozy, and the alcohol selection is exceptional. First, I love Charlie. We have amazing conversations and I would love to go to Italy with him lol the service is great. Always friendly, timely, and accommodating. Also pretty knowledgeable about the establishment and food. The food is impeccable. Even just the basic starter salad is delightful. Im obsessed with the fresh baked rolls. Soooo soft and fluffy. Like a yeast roll. The chicken Parmigiano-Reggiano with the fettuccine Alfredo is my go to always. The linguini garlic and oil is perfection. Grilled salmon is lip smackin great. And the tortellini romana is mouth watering! If I didnt have prior engagements I would go there for dinner right now

We did an overnight trip to Turlock, CA just to see what was in the area. After checking in our hotel, we decided Italian food sounded good. We were given a list of suggested restaurants in the area when we checked in. Who would have thought Turlock, CA would have one of the best Italian restaurants we have ever ate at! The restaurant stands alone in a kind of residential neighborhood. Its a small restaurant, but it is very quaint, well decorated, and a great setting for dinner. They had a kids menu for my daughter so, I give any restaurant bonus points when I see that. As far as Italian food goes, they have just about anything you could want on their menu. I wouldnt say prices are high, but you will pay between $12-$18, depending on what you order. The food presentation was visually pleasing and the food tasted incredible! I judge how well I like a meal by how my plate looks at the end of that meal. If the plate has very little food left on it, to incude sauces, I loved it. Needless to say, it was hard to tell my plate ever had food on it, after this meal! So, if you ever find yourself in Turlock, CA and you are looking for a good meal, I would highly recommend you stop by Villa Napoli.

Very good customer service, extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the food. We got there kind of late in the evening and it seemed like it was not a problem for the staff in the least, they were super pleasant to us the whole time. The food was fantastic and the deserts were very good as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want some good Italian food, I plan on going back again. You will not be disappointed.

I had been here a couple years ago and thought the food was amazing. This time around I went and was not fond of the shrimp Alfredo, it was very bland and had no flavor. I don’t know what happened to this place. From what I remember it used to be delicious. Unfortunately I won’t be going back to this place.Also it looked like the owner was walking around and greeting all the tables except for ours.One more thing I forgot to mention that the waiter flirted with my boyfriend right in front of me.Sorry not going back

The food was OK, but everything seemed kind of bland. If Im gonna pay $20 for a plate is late of spaghetti with meatballs, I need to be amazed. For the time being, my wife still makes the best spaghetti and meatballs Ive ever had. I suppose I could complain about the portion size, but I didnt expect that at an expensive restaurant.I heard a rumor that this restaurant is now under new management. If thats the case, then they didnt do enough to try and keep up with the previous owners commitment to excellence.

We had dinner here tonight. This is definitely a 5 Star Resteraunt in all ways. The service, decor & fine dining (even though we were very casual). The main server was a delightful fellow from Italy that made our dining experience exceptional. He was training a new server & she suggested I have the Pasta Nita. OMG every bite was delicious.. I highly recommend this place for a casual dinner or even a very special occasion in the afternoon or evening meal. It’s a great place & we are hoping to become regulars♥️🌹♥️

Servings were small but it didnt even matter because the flavor was completely unacceptable, worse than a frozen meal. I just simply cant believe they serve food like this to customers, one of the worst meals Ive ever ordered, honestly. The creamy pesto tasted like super glue, and the marinara tasted like vomit! Was a little worried when i heard they had changed owners but the only difference I saw was that the mozzarella comes in strips instead of balls now. Not a big deal at all. A beautiful place to celebrate any special occasion. The waitress was attentive, the atmosphere romantic, and the food exquisite. I had the lasagna which was silky and perfect. Its not like other Italian restaurants which just pour sauce out of a bottle, go ahead and try for yourself! Loved it!! Will be coming back every year for our anniversary. The rating is solely based on the food since this was a to go order. I ordered the chicken parmesan and my wife ordered the chicken marsala. Proteins and pasta were cooked fine, but the sauces were watery and bland and I guess they dont place any sauces on the pasta for to go orders because the pasta was very dry. The bread it seems like they just just gave us the end pieces of the loaves. My friends say they love this place so Ill have to give it a second try and maybe eat at the restaurant. Ill edit this review to reflect that experience.

This hole in the wall restaurant is truly a diamond in the ruff. The husband and wife that own and operate the restaurant make you feel like family every single visit.The food is simple but superb. I generally order the house special since no one can go wrong with any dish that is created by the chef.For dinner on a Friday or Saturday night, I would recommend arriving early. The restaurant is small and can fill up very quickly.

Found this small place while returning from Yosemite. The place has a Very warm and welcoming feel, has a nice ambience and the food is really really the best part, including many options for vegetarians. They welcomed with some warm bread with olive oil. The place has a pretty good wine collection. We ordered Spinach ravioli with creamy vodka sauce and gnocchi in creamy sauce. Both the dishes came hot and were yummy. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is in the area and wants good Italian food.

First time there. Moved from bay area and looked for a real italian resturant. Vill Napoli was sugested to me by some one who lives in turlock. The place is small, mom and pop style, but dont let that fool.you. food was Amazing! The servers polite, atentive and friendly! The staff is very well trained in hospitality and check on you several times to make sure all is well. The owner visits each table and askes how is everything. If its not right he makes it right. Very well trained staff, and excellent cook! They make you feel at home and service is always with a smile. Very rare these days for that high level of service! And if you order beer, they pour it like a master bartender. All beer, no head in the glass. Very Impressive! Would recomend Villa Napoli to anyone who wants excellent food and service!

Great food very attentive. During this weird COVID time we dont go out to eat as often as we used. This was our first kid free date. Having 2 family members loose their life to COVID it took a lot to mentally prepare my self to dine-in. We walked in expecting the basic dine-in guidelines to be followed. That was not the case. We were greeted by no one using a mask and after being seated we were asked if we wanted for staff to use masks while we were being helped. . I had to take one for the team and just eat because it was a long day of work and Im trying really hard to be somewhat normal during these hard times.Working in any space where food is prepared or packaged for sale to others requires a face covering. So if your wanting to dine with a peaceful mind during this pandemic, right now this is not the place.

Driving into the parking lot, it was very small, so we were not sure what to expect. We walked in, and mirrors line the walls. It looks bigger on the inside. Everything is clean, and set up perfectly. We sat down, and ordered drinks. Drinks came quickly, (we had 8 people in our group) and they also brought rolls. The rolls were warm; probably fresh out of the oven- they also tasted amazing. Our food came soon after that. All of us ordered different things. Some of them were: Carbonara, Fettuccini Alfredo, and Spaghetti. The Carbonara was really good- it had bacon on the top that added to the amazing taste. I got the Fettuccini Alfredo. It was exquisite. It was creamy, and maybe the best Alfredo I’ve ever had. I didn’t try the Spaghetti, but everyone in our group who had it said it was truly amazing. The service was fast. Overall, this Italian Resturaunt was a great experience. I’d definitely come back. I recomend you go also.

Great food! Sonny is a great owner and host. Villa Napoli is a intimate setting that works equally well to bring a date or for a family meal. Everything Ive tried has been great but the calamari almondine is my favorite, tender with a sauce that is perfect for soaking up with the bread. The lasagna runs a close second. This is one of those hidden gems I enjoy taking people to, so much nicer than going to those big chain restraunts. Buon appetito!

Walked it @ 9 pm on a Saturday night. They close at 9 30pm. The server did not look happy at all and frowned when we walked in. She was cleaning the floor and there were still a few tables left. She said let me check if the kitchen is open. The manager came out and said the kitchen was closed. We can turn it on for you but, your food will take a while he clearly did not want us there and was not happy. He saw us park on the back and he was outside. He couldve said something earlier. This place sucks and is managed by terrible people.

Im Italian and grew up with a very particular taste for Italian food.Agreeing with Mellisa C., if youre into Olive Garden, youre in the wrong place. This is a truly amazing and romantic experience and to compare it to Olive Garden would be a sin.I grew up (since 5th grade) in Turlock and lived right around the corner from this place. I always wondered how they were. When I first came here I found out it was new owners. They had just opened about 3 minutes before I showed up, so the experience was definitely one of a kind. I met the owner and shes the biggest sweetheart Ive ever met. My girlfriend and I were greeted with a big hug.On your table you will find bottles of Olive Oil (looks too light to be extra virgin :/ ) and Balsamic vinegar.Combining those together in the traditional style along with Villa Napolis wonderful bread that you cant get enough of amounts to pure bliss.I ordered my normal- Chicken Parmigiana. It was to die for. The chicken was properly breaded and super moist. My girlfriend ordered the Ravioli Aurora (I think its called) and it was absolutely divine.Hand-made excellent food at a reasonable price. Those who say any different are mad. The service can be hit or miss, but the nirvana of this restaurant makes any downside worth it. Plus, when you meet Mama, youll fall in love with her! I had the pleasure of meeting her husband, the chef as well. They make you feel like youre in their dining room, and treat you as guests.

Save yourself before you delve in. We didnt feel welcomed. Didnt understand menu, waitress couldnt quite explain it. My fettichini bolganese was dry, no parmesan cheese offered. My spouses chicken was cold in the ravioli, brought to the table lukewarm in sauce. The Riesling wine was good, but everything else even the process of paying the bill was delayed and not up to par.
