Really cool place, I read about on line, we were driving back from San Diego and we decided to give it a try. Huge portions, good quality food and the host was very funny and friendly! Very affordable too.

Very kind and funny owners! He had fun banter with me and food was great! This isn’t the fanciest place but don’t let that fool you! I had bbq pork, fried shrimp, egg rolls and chicken fried rice! Everything was delicious.

This is the best authentic Chinese food restaurant in the high desert. My parents have been coming here for over 20 years. And now we come with our families. The food is super good and the prices are super reasonable. They also have breakfast specials and other American food. You can also order for pick up. And yes ! Henry is still cooking!

The man is so generous person, he lets this authentic old lady to sit in the cafe when it’s too hot outside.You can have very authentic experience here,The food is great, i tried fried tofu with veggies and rice and i loved it!

We were searching for good food and found village cafe on the web… Everything was great food service, the cook, the waiter the food could not say enough because we had been traveling and had a long way to go on our way out he shared some almond cookies for the road my favorite ….

If you travel far with your dogs, Village Cafe isnt an option to have a bite and rest from a long drive. There is no outside seating and we were refused to get seated with two small pugs

Great spot, very friendly and welcoming, food was excellent. The Hong Kong chow mein was absolutely delicious! Would go there again if I was coming through Barstow.

OMG! I was not craving another Dennys breakfast this place really hit the spot. Vintage Diner with delicious food. Restaurant + bathrooms were clean service was great good coffee and breakfast.

Friendly service and great fresh food! We stopped here while on a road trip from Southern to Northern California, and it was a perfect lunch-time stop for Chinese food (for us - fried tofu with great stir-fried Chinese veggies.). I highly recommend this place in downtown Barlow.
