This restaurant is amazing and the food is fantastic. The owner is inspiring to keep moving forward on the vegan lifestyle. I wasnt sure what to order, and the owner asked if I would like him to choose something for me. I took him up on the offer! The dish made for me was amazing and nothing like I have had before. Combination duck! I highly recommend having him choose something for you. He asks you a few questions and makes it for you. You get to try it before you buy it. Awesome restaurant and ownership.

Had a delivery through GH. Two dishes were so spoiled, smelly, and with spots of mold, to the point where they either didn’t bother to look at what they’re sending or they didn’t care. This also meant we couldn’t trust anything else on our order and skipped most of it. I actually liked some of it, but spoiled food is really the bottom as far as quality and service

Be careful ordering over the phone, they can change your order to something more expensive that you didnt ask for. The food was good enough. Its overpriced, especially for the area. Gluten free sauce almost $2, thats too much for a couple of drops of sauce. Parking lot is small and the spots are very tight. There isnt much room for dining in the restaurant. Its not a terrible place but it isnt the best place either. Would come again if nothing else or in a super rush.

Regretting not having gone here before. This place hits the spot! Ordered the udon stir-fried with curry “duck,” tofu fried rice, and the fresh veggie rolls. The owners were friendly and attentive, the service was swift, and the food was extremely well seasoned. We loved every bite of our meal and look forward to coming back.

As this was the first time going, the owner asked if he could choose for us.. and we highly recommend this. Let him just make the food, and you just eat.The rice dish was good. But the curry udon noodles were amazing. And the vegan meat was surprisingly good and wasnt offsetting.

Kevin & Linh are an unbeatable team. I took a vegan date to Vinh Loi early on and she eventually became my wife as Kevin volunteered himself to be my wingman- Vegan wingman, that is. If it’s your first few times, let him pick. Just enjoy the experience and pay the bill. It will help remedy any overwhelm or analysis paralysis. We were regulars and referred many friends over who still eat there. Wish we were still in Reseda to get our fix. Thanks a million.

This was amazing restaurant just off of a fluke we looked on Google and decide to go to the nearest vegan restaurant. This restaurant turned out to be a number five star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ even even the wifey said the pho that they actually have was amazing the best shes ever had it reminded her of the vegan restaurant in pho. All we had this wonderful great dish it was a duck vegan wings was fantastic. We also had some kind of like beef fried rice with vegetables old man their portions are big so remember youve only need like one meal. Oh and we had the famous pho. The thing about fuzz that it took so long to make it but they didnt take long at all it was literally like 10 minutes and almost made me think that they had an AI robot in the back making pho. I think this restaurant is amazing I think more people should come back the service was polite. And I will coming back I hope you all.

I am not vegan. I enjoyed the texture as it wasnt mushy and it didnt taste weird. I really enjoyed my meal. They even noticed the baby wasnt eating and they asked what the baby liked and made her a bowl of plain noodles and chicken. It was very nice of them.

Wow. Kevin must have some special suppliers because the vegan meat analogues are unusually realistic. The taste is spectacular. The egg rolls are so delicious that my girlfriend was amazed at how quickly they disappeared before she got her share. It’s in a mini mall and doesn’t serve alcohol, but otherwise a great place for a date.

Wow! This place is fantastic:) We had the curry wheat noodles with chicken, as well as the veggie spring rolls with beef, which came with a side of really delicious peanut sauce. They have a variety of drinks and teas as well. They also sell cookies, nuts, hats/shirts, and even meatless beef jerky, which I will have to try sometime! Service was really awesome, and the place was very clean. There isnt much parking in the lot directly in front of the store, but there is a side parking lot with tons, so no worries there. We will definitely be back:)

The owner’s ego needs to be knocked down a few pegs so here we go: what’s the point of having a large menu if you’re told what to order? And what’s the point of even going here as a vegan if you could go to a normal restaurant and have the same one option? The service came off as extremely arrogant and abrasive-he would not let us choose the dishes we wanted and shut us down loudly when we tried to order. The one dish he brought out was super garlic heavy and tasted like straight soy sauce. The pho was good though. Both dishes were served in single use plastic containers even though we were dining in with plastic utensils and a whole wad of napkins. I left the restaurant feeling extremely frustrated.

I know what you wantMy wife and I guarantee that was the best thing because whatever was in that roll was out of this world (I mean. I havent felt a sensation of great food coming as I opened my mouth to take a bite of it).When we asked which one was that one: he pointed out his menu and read to us their motto: We Pick. First time here. The soup was amazing! I cant believe its all from vegetables! The broth was delicious, the veggie meat was tasty, the added mint leaves and lemon and bean sprouts just added to the flavours. The soup also had some kick to it and it was fantastic. I would highly recommend to try the food here. I didnt even realize it was vegan until AFTER I tried the food. Fantastic. Tasty. Delicious. Hearty. Filling. Healthy. Not expensive. Yummy nom noms!

The we pick, you eat option is a fun experience! The owner, Kevin, is a friendly guy who will just pick some options for you. I came with 3 people and we had 1 soup, 1 noodle dish, and 1 rich dish. All of the ingredients were fresh and high quality. The soup and noodle dishes were excellent. The noodle had tofu duck which was pretty tasty. The orange chicken was amazing. It just a good ratio between crunchy and chewy and the flavor burst in your mouth. You do have to eat it fresh so it doesnt get soggy. I would highly recommend this Vietnamese vegan restaurant!

In case youre wondering, there are approximately 30,000 restaurants in Los Angeles.Kevin Trans unique creations are coolinary wonders. Its unabashed vegan cooking that is brilliantly presented and delicious. His staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive.Servings are large. Soups, salads, spring rolls, and stir-frys are rich and flavorful. Chef Tran creates with vegetable meats as a traditional chef uses animal proteins.When Kevin downs his host hat he has a stash of off-menu dishes. Just ask Kevin to make you something special. Hell ask you what you like and dont like, and create a dish especially for you. Ive done it many times. He and his staff have never missed.Vinh Loi is also a carryout restaurant. Weve enjoyed take-home meals with friends. Their response is always the same, I never knew vegan could taste like this.For example: When ordering traditional Vietnamese soup, an assortment of freshly cut vegetables and garden spices are separately supplied. I was visiting Cali and Happy Cow helped me find this place being near it. Whats pictured is the fried veggie wontons. They were soggy and greasy and not great. I got them to go and I know when I fry foods and wrap them up too quick and dont let them cool off the food gets soggy. I think thats what happened. I also got fried rice. Now on the menu it says egg is in a few dishes and I wanted to know what they were using as substitute to be the mock egg and no one could tell me. The best thing out of my experience was the employee who took my order, she had a lot of patience with me.

Got the Summer Fried Rice (with beef ribs), Fried dumplings, Fried eggrolls and Vegan roll. The place is small but clean, about 7 tables and bathroom. Parking in the lot its in or on the street. Staff was friendly and we got our food within 10min. Overall it was good, the texture of the meats were good but didnt taste like the actual meats so if thats what youre going for, wouldnt recommend. The rice was good minus the floral? flavor of the meat, shouldve just gotten the regular fried rice with no protein. Dumplings were delicious, crunchy and good flavor. They are closed until 7/7/2023. I was excited to try this place today and placed a pick up order through Postmates that went through. Once I arrived to pickup my order, the restaurant was completely locked up with a sign saying they are on vacation from 06/28/23 till 07/07/23. I would have appreciated knowing this before placing the order and coming all the way to the restaurant to pick it up my order. Thankfully Postmates refunded me the entire amount. I am not sure why they are allowing orders to come through while they are closed.

I just looked at the receipt and noticed that they charged for what was promised to be on the house, for free. I told them that I cant eat spinach and she offered me to make me a spinach-free roll. I said its ok, I dont need it, but she insisted and said that it would be free.Now I see they charged me $7.25 fit a single roll. Its basically a piece of rice paper and some leafy greens and probably some shredded carrot rolled in it. I feel it was very unfair!

This is an iconic establishment for vegan food. The texture of the faux meat had me doing a double take. The flavors are so delicious and the portions are generous. Kevin and his wife are welcoming and really funny. For those unfamiliar with his style, he usually picks the food and you simply enjoy. This may come across to some as aggressive or crazy, but I’m telling you let Kevin do this for you. You will never regret it! My mind and taste buds have been blown every single time that he chooses a dish. It’s allowed me explore dishes that I probably would never eat, but have become my favorite. He even will let you know when you’ve ordered too much so that you don’t ruin the experience of the meal. That was a first for me and he was right! Incredible range of delicious vegan dishes, inspired by the Vietnamese palette. If youre a vegetarian, and always felt bummed that there were no Pho or Ban Mi options for you, this is the place to go. Their meat substitutes are all creatively delivered and well-seasoned, in many instances completely indistinguishable from the real thing. The staff here are delightful and fun, and this place has a distinctly home-grown feel. People here are themselves and, at the same time, very accommodating and welcoming. Will be making the drive to Reseda a lot more often.

Had the tofu spring roll (we chose fried tofu) - 5/5 stars, soooo flavorful. We also had the curry noodle dish with “duck” and it was packed with flavor and a huge portion size that tasted super yummy the next day too. I think the biggest star dish was my order of Kevin’s #1 soup. The lemongrass broth was rich, packed with amazing flavor, and it was legit spicy (I asked for spicy and it came packed with a punch - perfection!). On the way out, we bought the vegan spicy jerky at the front of the restaurant and omg I’m hooked, I need more of it- seriously, the best jerky of ANY jerky I’ve ever had. All in all, the flavors were strong and every bite was extremely delicious. The owner Kevin is an “iron man” contestant and medalist, though I think it’s time for him to move on to “iron chef” because his food is just that good.Don’t get caught up in the stigma and sacrifice that comes with the thought of eating “vegan;” instead, view this restaurant as a place to experience elevated flavors that take your tastebuds on an expected and incredible journey that also happens to be good for the environment.So delicious! I would give this 10 stars out of 5 stars for how much Vinh Loi impressed me. I highly recommend.

Very solid food, I particularly liked the noodle dishes. The staff is very kind and they’re generous, big-hearted people. They gave my sister free congee because she recently had neck surgery and her udon soup was a little difficult for her. I’m not in the area much, but would absolutely go again.

I cant even begin to say what a good experience this was, they offer all kinds of vegetarian and vegan dishes especially for my very strict diet right now. The customer service is off the chain. I told the owner about my diet and he went in the kitchen and whipped up something specifically for me. Hes been in business for a very long time and works hard every day. The store is clean and filled with all kinds of unique items lined up to purchase while youre waiting for your order. I bought his entire line of beef jerky and the mango chilies and I really like them and Im happy I found this place. Definitely have to try more of their dishes and for anyone I would say get a noodle dish and a soup and something stir-fried You will not be disappointed and if you like to eat spicy theyll turn that bowl into fire for you or give you chili on the side.

A friend of mine brought me here, AMAZING!! Hands down the best vegan meal Ive had in a very long time. I had the duck with curry sauce and noodles and also fried dumplings. I scarfed it down and still had leftovers for later. The sauce was unique and delicious and meat substitute had good texture and not bland or overbearing. Highly recommend!

There will never be enough good things to say about this place. Its on point with flavor, quality, and price for quantity. The owners are so incredibly nice and attentive. Ive been to Vinh Loi Tofu twice and both times the food was delicious! My favorite dish is called ham noodle, which is made with flavorful, unctious soy ham with rice noodles and a mix of greens, fresh herbs and bean sprouts. The service is good, too. Its definitely a popular spot to eat; its always packed in the evening for dinner. I recommend getting there early to beat the dinner rush. Also, be aware that they are closed on Tuesdays. The prices are quite fair considering the freshness and high quality of their food and the generous portions.

I am sad to give such low review. We have been a long time customers and have frequented the location many, many times. We have brought friends and family here, and everyone loved it. However, it seems that since the remodel, things have gone down, the service, the quality of food, the size of the meals have shrunk while the prices went up. The last couple of times we have gone in, the food was prepared incorrectly. When asked about the spiciness level, my husband asked for medium, and I asked for spicy. His came out much spicier and mine came out as medium. No one came by to check on the quality of food. We decided to go again, we figured it may have just been a busy/bad night. We just went yesterday, and although it was slow, the floors and unoccupied tables were dirty. The employees who were manning the registers were on their phones, and again, no one came by to check on the food or how we were doing. A homeless man came in asking for water. They have a water cooler from which you can help yourself. They allowed him to pour the water himself. While it was very nice of them to allow a non-customer to get water, they neglected sanitation. Not sure well be back. The food still taste good, but everything else just brings down the experience.

This place is a fantastic place for Asian style vegan food. Ive been coming here for years. Vinh Loi is one of the first 100% plant based places around but Kevin is always working to keep it fresh. Amazing food! Lots of gluten-free options and their house-made tofu is ridiculously good. My favorite is the udon curry chicken noodles (made gf) and spicy. Kevin will always give you some of his special spicy sauce on the side if asked for it (ask for it!). But you can also get it mild if you prefer. The owner lost a HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY by never calling me back -- and this after already having been so impossibly rude to me.I am a super happy and very friendly and polite human being, and I was throwing a massive birthday party for myself and possibly as many as 200+ guests. In fact, the party was going to begin at 1:30 in the afternoon and run until 10:30 at night. I decided to have TWO meals during that immense time-period, and a dear, dear friend -- someone who swore by Vinh Loi Tofu, and especially the owner -- suggested I make arrangements WITH the owner to have two substantial orders either be delivered and/or picked up twice during the day, all of which would go to a large sanctuary located on Haskell Avenue, in North Hills.When I phoned -- and the owner was EXPECTING my phone call -- I reached an incredibly sweet and well-spoken woman who said he was just finishing up taking an order from some guests. I suggested she take my name and number, so that he, in turn, could ring me back when he was finished. But she said it was all right, if I didnt mind waiting. I again said I certainly didnt mind his calling me back... but just then, she said he had just finished taking the order and was, in fact, walking directly towards her and the phone. So she asked me to hold a second, and then I heard her put the owner on the phone.I happily introduced myself, knowing full well hed been expecting my call. His manner was shocking. He immediately stated he was in the middle of an important meeting, and had no time to speak with me. What?! So I began to say that that was not a problem, with my intention to ask him to return my call when he was finished with his meeting. Instead, he rudely interrupted me and said, Name! Number! He already had both of those from my two emails from the evening before. But, no problem. I gave both to him, carefully spelling my name and stating my entire phone number. He again said he was in the middle of a meeting, then nastily hung up the phone on me.He never, ever rang me back. Not that day. Not the next day. Not the day after that. And never, ever again.The thing is, he was openly caught in a blatant and horrible LIE. There was his wife, stating that he was taking an order from customers, and then she stated that hed completed their order-taking, and was now walking towards her and the phone, and yet -- when he heard it was I on the phone -- he LIED.WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!!?Now, a total of over 130 guests came to my all-day/all-night birthday party. That is one hell of a lot of human beings who could have and would have eaten -- and enjoyed (???) -- all his food, right? But they never got that chance, did any of them? And why IS that? Why did this foolish man lie? Why did he turn down such a HUGE and WONDERFUL opportunity to prepare and have 130 individuals consume food of his, not once, but TWICE, in one long day? And he would have had so much FREE advertising, because surely he would have been sure to have had his business cards, maybe even menus, distributed to all these guests (many of whom do not live in the immediate area where his restaurant is located).For instance, I reside in Santa Clarita, so lots of my friends also live in that area. Additionally, many others live in Los Angeles. ALL of these fine guests would have been first-time customers of his, and surely at least half of them would have been FUTURE customers of his, correct?And he could have easily prepared DIFFERENT meals for each of the two services!What a foolish, foolish man!On top of that, he will never have ME as a customer, nor will he have any of MY friends as customers of his, because why would I ever choose HIS restaurant as a place to dine??? And then there is the fact that I have already told SO many people exactly what happened when I tried to speak with this owner ABOUT having a double service for my huge birthday party. This place was an absolute wonder to order from. Staff was kind, and enforcing social distancing guidelines as well as providing hand sanitizers for their customers. Food is really good. Best Vegan Vietnamese food around by far. Owner is a Vegan triathlon with over a 100 marathons and triathlons under his belt. He believes food is your medicine and you can see it on him. Hes 51 and looks 30. Did I mention the food is bomb.

Omg omg omg. such a treasure this place is. almost everything on their menu is delicious, i say almost since i have not tried everything. my family is obsessed with the mushroom soup ! they also have great salads. the food is really something special.the service is always prompt once youre seated...it does get crowded during peak hours, so you may have a wait, but it is worth it.

My #1 favorite vegan restaurant. Everything they make is absolutely delicious. I am soo lucky its only a 5 minute drive awat from me. Also sometimes the wait can be long, but you can just order on the phone and then pick up.

There is much good and nothing wrong with tofu in and of itself. So the fact that these guys can pass it off as basically anything from grilled pork to sea horse is pretty impressive. If youre a vegan, or even if youre not (Im not) these are tasty and interesting offerings. As good as the SGV? Nah. But good enough for the West Valley.

This was much more than a Culinary Experience. Looking for Vegan via Yelp, we Stepped into a very Special Place. The Owner, Chef, Kevin Tran makes everything enjoyable, from the conversation to the food (Yummy). He lets you know you are on the right way of eating/living by pure example alone. Im new to vegan lifestyle just a year in to. I have tried multiple restaurants and hadnt had any luck with a good delicious meals. This restaurant surprised me with the portions and deliciousness of the meal. I was surprised that my wife finished the entire meal thats how good the food was. Amazing vegan food, amazing Vietnamese food. Both as separate categories!The bun bi thit nuong and the Vinh Loi salad are my favorites. The peanut sauce that comes with the spring rolls could be better. Kevin is the coolest and he even sells veggie meats to go in the cold case, along with other treats like homemade soy milk.The prices are a bit steep, otherwise Id come more often!

This place serves good food but they have no regard customers health. My fiance is Celiac and cannot costume gluten; that been said everytime we are here we specifically ask if food was gluten-free (not preference) and the owner (aka TofuRobot) always says yes yes we make it gluten-free so we believe him and order. Yet Everytime she ate there she would get some sort of reaction but we always gave him the benefit of the doubt until a few days ago were she almost ended up in the hospital right after eating his food because of a bad reaction! We now know is his food! Please stop telling people your food is something when really is not, this guy always brushes s*** off and just says whatever to make a sale

Tastey options and good duck fried rice,eggrolls, noodles, all vegan bit of soy sauce and you have a meal. service is good, prices are ok and food quanity is good. their vegan beef chicken duck their meats are surprisingly great. good mama pop feeling place dont forget to ask for utensils.

Hands down, the best, the best!!!! My son comes in from SFO and the first stop at at Vinh Loi Tofu before going home. Kevin, the owner/chef is the nicest and most friendliest person ever. He was so kind and taught my son how to make the noodles and gave him all the stuff needed to make this dish. Where else can you be treated as a friend and your son invited in the kitchen. Just became a fancy place with tiled floor, marble counter, and computer POS. Vegetarian food here is the best in LA by far. Green soy milk is worth a try. Love the spice, because it makes me cry. Curry udon is my favorite, ask for no salt. Great little place. Kevin is no iron chef, he is an Ironman. His wife is the boss.Ok, this is an update. Kevin, dude, get your employees in better shape please. They are not doing their jobs as well as they should. Check your videos, have someone you trust to go when you are not there, or trust your customers. Your workers are not treating people right.

This is one of my very favorite eating places in L.A. It is homestyle and family run with huge heaping servings, homemade tofu and soy meats and spectacular pho and soups. I love the curry rice noodle soup. What is missing in ambience is more than made up for by the quantity and quality of the food. And it is non GMO.

It has been so long since Ive had Pho.... After becoming vegetarian, Pho just wasnt on the menu. But, during a recent trip to LA, I almost stumbled across this totally unassuming diamond of a restaurant. If youre a fan of Pho, but meat aint your thing, you need to check this place out. Decor-wise, this place is every other strip-mall Asian place in LA. Theres nothing to really tell you how great their food is except a few reviews on the walls - which are easily discounted until you try the food. Thats where Vinh Loi shines! The Pho brought me back 30 years with all of the flavors and textures of a truly good bowl. It was a total joy and Im looking forwarding to returning.

Whether youre vegetarian or not, this food is amazing.Dont know what you want? Just ask Kevin (aka TofuRobot), and hell suggest something sure to be delicious. And when he asks you if you want your food white boy spicy or Vietnamese spicy, I recommend starting out with the white boy version. If thats somehow not spicy enough for you, then you can always try the Vietnamese spicy next time... and there will be a next time.

Ive been a vegetarian for a LONG TIME...and Vegan going on 4 years...we stumbled on this place after a long day of running errands one day in Sherman Oaks and Hollywood...and Thank GOD we did!!Immediately walking up the place was PACKED...long line...long wait. The faces of the people eating...SATISFIED. Happy! We waited. We ordered....and now we are writing a 5 Star Review! The owner, Kevin Tran, was such a great HOST! He made EVERYONE feel like they were dining at HIS home!! I instantly connected and liked this human!! We later talked, exchanged numbers etc.He is an Iron Man Athelete!! He trains hard. Works Long hours...and has kids!!! Hes a BEAST! My girlfriend is ALSO from Vietnam and they spoke in Vietnamese and made a sincere connection. He promised me that the next time my girlfriend, Tre and I go there next to call him and he will make us his special VEGAN Vietnamese Banh Minh sandwhich...We cant WAIT because our initial experience was like NON OTHER...if youre ever in the Reseda Area...GO!!
