5 stars all around! We had a large group on a Friday night, and every dish was prepared perfectly. The service was great, and the atmosphere....wow! We sat outside in the evening. Views of the sunset were stunning. The fireplaces mixed among the tables and the wonderful gal who performed live made the evening incredibly memorable.

The staff was just incredibly friendly and helpful. Its a hidden restaurant gem with tall glass window and spectacular views. The restaurant inside is classy, spacious and artsy with art deco and lighting. Food was savory, pleasing to the eyes and appetite. The lemonade raspberry drink was delicious and not overly sweet. Definitely looking forward to going back again.

Delicious lunch of Parmesan and Herb Crusted Salmon Caesar Salad. I asked for a hard-boiled egg instead of the soft boiled that comes with the salad. Apparently, that is a common request.Service was wonderful. My friend and I had a lot of catching up to do, and our server was very kind and let us take our time. We never felt rushed as we enjoyed our lunch time.The view today was spectacular. This is a great place for business or pleasure. Two Yums up from me!

Vintana is one of the best restaurants in SoCal for me. My friends and I kept coming back here to meet up, hang out and just have a great time.One time we can for the weekend brunch and had refillable mimosas. Their brunch menu options were all delicious from mains to desserts.We had a wonderful time and stayed longer because we havent seen each other for quite some time. Billed out of brunch and were handed Happy Hour menu. The staff were just the most wonderful, attentive and friendliest people.Happy hour is one of the best too! We always order their calamari. And their cocktails are heavenly! We love the set up in the Lanai area with live band and heaters.Also came here with a client for lunch and were seated inside. Lovely set up as well. We enjoyed their desserts most especially.If you are looking for a great date place or a nice place to hang out with friends, you can never go wrong with Vintana!

Beautiful atmosphere unexpected at the top floor of a Lexus dealer! The food was all so delicious and fresh, and the portion sizes were generous. We enjoyed the Short Ribs, Chicken with Gnocchi, Seabass, and Shrimp starter. The complimentary bread was also extremely unique and crispy and paired perfectly well with the provided butter and the Shrimp starter we ordered.

Ive been to Vintana a few times now, with varying experiences. Overall its been good.We recently went to celebrate a big life event with family, so I made a reservation in advance, indicated the special occasion, and made a small request. I was a little surprised that it wasnt even acknowledged so Im not sure if it was not read or ignored.The service is quite detailed with small things like brushing crumbs off the table and always friendly. We did find ourselves waiting a few times for someone to check in on us. One of our party wanted to pay the bill after dessert was ordered and was unable to do so for at least half an hour because they couldnt get the attention of the waitress.The food tends to be quite good, with more hits than misses. My fiancés steak was a little overcooked - medium instead of medium rare - and one of our party mentioned that their drink tasted very watery, and the potatoes with their pork chop were very dry. The sea bass was quite good, as was the risotto. Most of the cocktails were flavourful and interesting. The brie is a great shared appetizer. The dessert portions are a little too big, but overall tasty. The dessert drinks are wonderful - especially the brandy alexander. The hits were the lobster mac and cheese and popovers.The ambiance is nice, and the sound level isnt great but is okay.The 5% surcharge is pretty scummy - they already have high enough prices but I wouldnt even mind paying an increase in food prices so I can math out my evening. Adding on 5% instead is a way to hope customers dont notice, which is a little gross (particularly at what would otherwise be a classy outing)

Me and my wife celebrated our wedding anniversary the restaurant is very nice . They had the table set up with rose pedals and champagne. The lobster Mac is very good when we go back to San Diego we will stop back. Plus, the restaurant sits on top of a Lexus dealership.

Im visiting my daughter and her fiance (newly engaged). Im This from the east coast so this was my first time at Vintana and it was specifically an engagement celebration.The cocktails that we loved were Orange You Glad, First Impression (pictured) and Brandy Alexander. The Hendicks & tonic were pretty weak and a disappointment.The meal began with popovers & a flavored butter, which were amazing. Then we had the sesame crusted brie, also amazing. Such wonderful flavors.My boyfriend got the pork chop and he loved it. It was cooked perfectly. The garlic mashed was dry and stiff. My spring pea and mushroom risotto was fabulous. One of the best Ive ever had. My future son-in-law got the ribeye. He said it was a little overcooked but still very good. My daughter got the sea bass and really enjoyed it. We also ordered the cornbread and lobster mac & cheese for the table. They were both really good.I really enjoyed the pineapple upside-down cake. It was beautiful and delicious, but drier than I expect it to be. My daughter and her fiance shared the mud pie. They said it was good but too much.After the meal, we realized there was a 5% surcharge on the meal TO HELP COVER INCREASING COSTS AND IN SUPPORT OF THE RECENT INCREASES TO MINIMUM WAGE AND BENEFITS FOR OUR DEDICATED TEAM MEMBERS. (Copied from the Vintana website, not using caps for any reason other than laziness). I feel like wages and benefits are simply a cost of doing business and not a surcharge. Id much rather have that charge reflected in the cost of each item. So while I loved the experience I had at this special celebration dinner, I do have an issue with the surcharge.

Appetizers of eggplant and lobster bisque were hot, fresh, and so flavorful.Dinner was steak and ahí tuna. Hands down the best steak Ive ever had! Ahí tuna was also very well prepared and outstanding. The kids mac and cheese was excellent as well! Drinks were strawberry fields which was ok but I loved the cucumber midori drink (cant remember name).Will be coming back when I visit California again!

We had my Dads 90th and husbands birthday celebration at Vintana. It unfortunately rained the day of our event and we were scheduled to be outside. The staff set up a beautiful table inside with lovely plants and greenery to make our area more private and intimate. We had a large group and our host Nicole was amazing; she went above and beyond to make our evening spectacular. The food was excellent. My Mom doesnt normally eat carbs but she couldnt resist the popovers...she ate hers and a part of my Dads. The Surf and Turf entree was incredible...the meat was so tender and the lobster was delicious. My husband raved about the short rib. This was a night to remember!! Thank you Vintana...and thank you Nicole!!!

Great upper level dinning place. the location is part of the lexus dealership but on the top floor. the view is gorgeous from there, with both inside and outdoor seating. food is amazing. all the meats were very juicy. the vegetables were all fresh and crispy. a more expensive place, but great for holidays or celebrations.

Terrific dining experience! Unusual venue, at the upper level third story of a Lexus dealership, that offers a spectacular view with windows the entire length of the restaurant. Food is top notch, pricy for sure, but well worth it, from very special appetizers and entrees to specialty drinks and popovers. Service is good, not excellent, could be better. But overall, a wonderful 5-star experience!

Went to Vintana, 3rd level at Lexus Escondido.🚘 Follow signs, parking is on roof level, right near front door of restaurant, thru parking garage. We sat outside by fire pits for Happy Hour, 9$ Vodka drinks, and Apps. We tried muscles and ceviche.🐟🐠 Both good, muscles, a bit spicy with chorizo, Ceviche was my favorite. Food was delicious! Calamari and oysters were both top notch and are a definite recommend. Sea bass dish was tasty and the spicy cauliflower was flavorful (added blackened salmon for protein and it was cooked to perfection). Unfortunately, had a few odd events while there: wine glass was dirty when brought to the table but was corrected immediately and secondly, the oysters did not have a serving fork or spoon on the plate for the horseradish/vinegar sauces. Staff was prompt and friendly. Would definitely go again.

Dined in for lunch on April 8th for Restaurant week. For appetizers we ordered Black Mussels. Main dish: Crispy Ale Battered Fish & Chips Tacos and Ora King Salmon. For dessert we got Mango Sorbet and Warm Butter Cake. The fries were breaded which were extremely good but I wasnt a fan of the sorbet. I liked the mussels and then the salmon was good. Farro was ok and veggies were ok. Butter cake was good tho. Server was good, food came out quick, great dining experience.

Updated on 01/22/2023:Reserved a table for two with an upgraded anniversary package. Got a romantic table outside decorated with rose petals and a reward of a lovely spiced cake after the meal.The server was super nice and accommodated some special substitutions. My wife got the risotto and I got the roasted cauliflower. Both were huge portions! The cauliflower was spicy and had an amazing sauce. Truly next level. The risotto had some really interesting mushrooms that Im going to have to seek out for my own future cooking.Overall five stars again. This is not a cheap place to go so we only go once in a while on a special occasion, but Ive never regretted the money spent hereWent here during San Diego restaurant week and for a special event. Food and service were both excellent. The sdrw menu was an awesome bargain. They even gave us a special dessert free of charge in addition to the one we ordered because due to our event. Along with greeting cards signed by staff for the event. Ambiance was great as usual. Had a great time.

Enjoyed happy hour here and it was fantastic! Sat at the bar and received excellent friendly and professional service. Very fair happy hour prices on an assortment of menu and cocktail items (3p-5p). Ordered a pork belley and shishito pepper dish that was tasty, however pork was dry. Seeded baked brie was the other dish and it was delicious! Recommend Vintana for happy hour anytime.

I love Vintana and I was so happy to bring my friends and husband on this last visit. It happened to be on Dine Week, so that was a perk! I made reservations, which is recommended.We all loved their signature bread with their lightly sweetened whipped butter.Our party of 4 was seated in a nice booth immediately. We chose the Filet Mignon and Seabass. My husband said his filet was cooked perfectly, medium rare. I ordered the Seabass and was slightly disappointed, thus the 4 stars. The skin was not crispy, as I would of preferred, and the cauliflower was braised, but it seemed raw and was too hard to slice and eat, however the meal was tasty.We all enjoyed our appetizers: mozzarella and beet salad and the pumpkin hummus. Nicely presented too.For dessert we had an array: upside down pineapple cake, apple pear crumble and the flan. All three looked delicious and was tasty! I just wish my pastry on the crumble was not so chewy. It should be flaky, not chewy and it was hard to cut with a spoon that was provided.My cocktail, In the Woods was really tasty and perfect for a Fall dinner.Our server Katherine ( Asian) and her helper, (Sam? ) were on point. They were busy, yet they made us feel important. High praise for these two!I love Vintana and will definitely return again next time I am in Escondido. We didnt make a reservation on a Friday night so we decided to sit at the lounge. But the hostess let us know ahead of time of a free table so we got to dine right by the sunset view. The cocktails and food was very delicious! The food especially the right size portion. Also, the herb bread rolls with sweet butter was especially delicious! Id highly suggest Vintana if you want to have a fancy night out!....Update (Feb. 2022): We went here for our anniversary and made a reservation this time and still love the food and service here!

Great experience, dining and service. We had a wonderful family dinner here. We ate outside which has nice views. But be sure to dress warmly in late fall and winter. We had the sea bass and ahi tuna. I think the tuna was the best. We also enjoyed the calamari and ahi stack as starters. They have a three course kids menu for $15 with a fruit cup appetizer and sunday for dessert. The warm butter cake for dessert was incredible.

Score: 4 out of 5.Cons:But (and a big but), not impressed with their Entrées at all. To call this one of my favorite restaurants is an understatement. It’s my favorite restaurant/ wine shop/ car dealership/ art gallery/ wedding venue/ corporate dining spot. The food is great, even if just a sandwich today. The service impeccable and that view! Although it’s really nothing to look, it’s the seeing it all that makes it so unique and incredible. Even the bathroom is an adventure with the teak doors on the water closet. Class act all the way.

I’ve heard good things about this place so i decided to give it a try. My friend and I came here for happy hour. I was told that signature cocktails and some appetizers are $9 during happy hour. We ordered two drinks and two appetizers. The food was average (Kung pao calamari was good) but the drinks were not good and they charged us non-happy hour price. Overall, my experience was ok.

First time enjoying the unique experience of fine dining above a Lexus dealership!We met our compadres here to celebrate my sons birthday and as part of our annual get together to celebrate the holidays before the start of all of the holiday madness.Correction, this took place after Black Friday, so the mall madness was already in full swing. You just wouldnt know it because this location takes you nowhere near a full blown busy mall where parking is only half the battle.Now onto what you really came here for....the food! We started out with the chicken meatballs appetizer served with garlic hummus and mixed greens salad. Excellent starter, moist and flavorful; highly recommended.Our entrees included a little bit of everything from the bacon mac and cheese, to the slow braised short ribs, filet mignon with a side of asparagus, and Lemon herb roasted half Chicken. Everyone loved their dish! I had the salmon and it was quite tasty with just the right amount of salt/seasoning; just how I like it!Wrapped up a fantastic meal with some visually impressive desserts; they tasted as good as they looked. I indulged in the butter cake, not too much though, as it was a shared portion.Would I recommend Vintana? Absolutely! The ambiance, service and food are as good as Flemings, or Ruth Chris, and parking is easy and free.

It was so nice to be on the Lanai at ventana again! A few years ago they took away the Lanai menu which was a huge bummer, but now its a great combination of lighter fair and lunch style offerings. The happy hour from 3:00 to 5:00 was perfect for our work get together. For some new things on the menu I hadnt seen and everything was delicious! A great place to gather for happy hour, dinner or lunch!

Celebrated a birthday here. Gentle attentive staff, food was clearly carefully thought out - compliments to the chef. Tried several appetizers- all delicious - large fresh oysters, fried calamari, big chicken meatballs, and a tasty dish with salmon, avocado and melon. My entree was the cauliflower and wow it was huge and soooo good. Beautiful presentation in a yellow Thai curry sauce with a moist and flavorful side of rice and fresh mini samosas. Others had the short ribs, fish, and steak - everyone was impressed. Everything was cooked to perfection and had a delicious sauce or accompaniment. Dishes were substantial. Wish this place was closer but definitely worth the drive. Kinda fun that you have to walk through and go up the elevator of a fancy Lexus dealership to get to it. Sort of has a Vegas feel to it with the dancing fountains and huge glass windows. No shortage of parking is always a big plus.

My husband and I went there for restaurant week in January. The view was amazing, staff was attentive, and there was a great deal on local wines. We ordered the pepita and sesame crusted brie, braised beef short ribs, jumbo shrimp linguine, raspberry cheesecake, and key lime pie. The brie and short ribs were delicious! The linguine was only ok though. The shrimps were a bit overcooked so they were tough. We both preferred the key lime pie over the cheesecake, but that could be because we were so full by then and wanted something refreshing!

The crab cake and Brie appetizers were both beautiful and amazing quality. 🍸The Black Rose drink was refreshing with pomegranate and rosemary. 🐟 The crusted sea bass had impressive components, especially the crispy sea beans. These were the show stopper of the plate in popping flavor, while the mashed sweet potatoes might have been better substituted with pureed parsnips or carrot. The over all dish somehow felt uncohesive. 🥣 Clam linguine was a bit tough and not quite cooked enough, however, the mussels in this dish were cooked perfectly. The sauce was the perfect balance of acidity, buttery-ness, spice and overall flavor. It would be an impressive soup all on its own. 🍰 the Butter Cake was wonderfully warm and soft consistency in the center, with berries, ice cream and candied walnuts. The candied orange peel topping the ice cream over powered the dish and might have been more complimentary to top with Carmel sauce or pureed strawberries. ➡️ the outdoor patio atmosphere is wonderful, with heat lamps, fire pits and blanket offerings. The staff pleasant. Live entertainment nicely selected. The prices were not outrageous and were really reasonable for the quality.

The outdoor patio/nightclub atmosphere is great for relaxing in a easy night out with friends in the formal dining room is great for nicer occasions. The wine selection to choose from is great in the shop and you will not be disappointed with your vodka selections, I believe it is over 300 available.overall a fantastic place that offers great food for a reasonable price

I actually don’t think the regular menu is really worth it.The staff are always nice and you can beat the vibe outdoors. I also still find novelty dining above a car dealership. Who would have thought of going to a Lexus dealership in Escondido to get great Seafood! Brought clients here for lunch and we both had the same menu item called the Ahi Stack. It has mango, avocado lots of crab and of course fresh cut Ahi Tuna. This is served with fried plantains on the side. This is a really tasty Gluten free option on the menu, Also a side of the garlic fries was excellent . Highly recommend for clients or date night to get reservations!

My favorite part about this place is the unique building design that allows a really clear view of the scenery (the view is mostly of the freeway, but its pretty cool with all the lights at night) from any seat at the restaurant. It is a fairly high-end dining with a classy ambiance, great service, and delicate dishes. We also celebrated a birthday here, and we even got a little dessert on the house. I ordered the sea bass dish, and it was delicious. Id be interested in coming back and trying another item next time.

I love this unique restaurant! We came for happy hour. The decor is hip and elegant. You will enjoy a nice view since youre on top of the building. They have complimentary valet parking. We had appetizers, drinks and dessert and I must say the appetizers or very large portions. The artichoke hearts were very delicious they come with a dipping sauce and the calamari was yummy too. For dessert I had the key lime tart which is large enough for 2-4 people. It was very good. We also had the butter cake which was fantastic. I highly recommend this spot they have heaters, they have fire pits and the dining room is very elegant as well.

We went for Restaurant Week $50 3 course dinner for 2 people. After an upgrade and a double scotch and 2 glasses of wine the tab was $180. The tab would have been okay except the food was really disappointing. Neither of us a single course that was tasty. The shortribs had fishy flavor. The upgraded sea bass was tasteless. The bread pudding was not pudding like at all. Even the creme brulee was not the classic you expect.

We had a surprise 70th birthday party for my mother and it was a fantastic night!We had a private dinner for 20 of my mothers closest friends. We had two cabanas and our private menu. Setting this all up was seamless and really felt the professionalism and care of the staff.When I arrived, the staff made sure everyone was taken care of and vetted other details through me, which I greatly appreciated.It was a truly special and memorable night. Sounds strange to be located at a dealership but it is very nice. We love the food and the staff is friendly. They went out of their way when they knew we were celebrating our Anniversary. Our Bone-in Ribeyes were cooked perfectly medium rare. The Cioppino my coworker got left much to be desired (seafood was not very fresh). Servers were polite, friendly and came around often to check on us. Only wrinkle and deduction of one star is due to receptionist. We arrived and asked for a table for 5 at 5:30 pm. She immediately said nothing until 7 pm but we can try to find seats at the bar (which was packed). I said ok and walked away. I checked Open Table and next available was 18 min later at 6 pm. Wth?! I reserved through Open Table, got seated at 6 pm (an HOUR earlier than what was available per the receptionist) AND got 100 points on Open Table.

Ive been coming to Vintana for years and some times our visits are great and some meh....12/31/19: I had dinner here because of the casino night. We had dinner reservations but arrived early at 9pm to drink prior to dinner. I called in advance to ask about Casino night and the host who answered the phone said that the Casino night starts at 10pm and will go until everyone leaves. Ok, so thats fine.When I arrived and checked in an hour ahead I asked the hostess to when we will get our chips for the Casino tables. She responded with when the server gives us our check for payment. Ok. No problem right.We sat at our table and we asked the server when we will get our chips and he responded with when we settle the bill. Ok. So we have dinner.Dinner was.... blah. It was a pre fixed menu. They ran out of coconut shrimp. Had the brie and caprese for appetizers, bacon wrapped steak and for dessert which was the worst, cherry chocolate cake, champagne panna cotta and strawberry shortcake. The popovers are always a hit but unfortunately they were served cold.I had real great servers in the past but this time around although he was nice failed to give us our chips for the casino event.When we paid our bill, we asked for our chips as everyone had mention when we asked and his response its done! They are about to announce the winner. It wasnt even 12 Midnight yet too.We were disappointed that the server did not even attempt to give us chips so we could at least run over and play it real quick. ALL INWe didnt to complain because I didnt want to end and start a new year like that so we made our way to the event and danced till midnight.Overall, a disappointing experience

It was magnificent in every way!In February, my husband and I got married at the courthouse in San Marcos and reserved a table here for our little celebration.Firstly, we booked a table for 10, which is already a large party, but then we ended up needing an additional 3 seats for people we thought couldnt make it. We didnt inform Vintana about this until we arrived for our reservation since we didnt know ahead of time, and they graciously said it was no problem to add 3 more people.Once we were seated, we were truly treated like kings and queens. Our waiter, Michael, was absolutely amazing in every way. He started the night off my complimenting my husband and I on our dress/suit and saying how beautiful I looked. How sweet! He was extremely attentive (yet you somehow never knew he was even there filling your drinks, taking your plates away, etc!) and so kind. He made sure all of our needs and wants were taken care of with a fantastic attitude. He went way above and beyond to make not only my husband and I feel special, but the rest of our family and friends, too.Large parties are often treated so poorly at restaurants, but this was honestly possibly the best service Ive ever experienced at any restaurant.I huge thanks to Michael and Vintana for making our wedding celebration so special and memorable!

Vintana is part of the highly successful San Diegos own Cohn Group. Its location may be a bit odd in the Lexus Center, but provides great views. We started with a lobster bisque which was quite tasty and creamy, although boiling hot. We followed with a far better roasted eggplant with tomato salsa and vinegarette; simply superb. For dinner, we tried the coconut and macadamia crusted sea bass which was moist and delicious. The strip steak was tender and prepared well. And the sweet pea and mushroom risotto was very good, though perhaps a bit too soupy. For dessert, we shared the warm butter cake with fruit compote and ice cream. This was absolutely delicious, yet so very sweet and rich; a couple of bites is all anyone could handle. My espresso (once corrected by the manager) was excellent and appreciated the side lemon peel even. Overall, this was a great dining experience and would have been 5 stars with minor improvements.

It was a little bit confused looking for the main entrance as the restaurant share the same building space with a high end Japanese car dealer. But once we get into the place we forgot about that to completely deliver ourselves to the Vintana experience. We started enjoying a jalapeno mango martini while talking about business strategies and some other things in life. It was the time for the main dish to arrive and the macaroni & lobster arrived to our table along with two bottles of wine (white and red), in an catching eye presentation but even better well balanced mixture of flavors. Then it happened, the sunset, with the city scape decorating the scenery and us as witnesses. Our customer, a native of Texas was in stasis (so I was) . Very nice atmosphere. Good service. Excellent and interesting drinks at the bar. The lobster bisque was one of the best Ive had in flavor, could have used a little more actual lobster. Lettuce wedge salad was huge, definitely enough for 2 to share. Short rib main course was not the best Ive had but ok. Meat was a little tough. Popovers were the served bread and excellent. We asked for seconds. Key lime dessert was also enough to share. Seems like such an odd location but actually quite appealing once youre in the restaurant.

You had me until dessert! Came for restaurant week. Appetizers and entrees were phenomenal. Then dessert came and...ehhh. extremely small serving, and very dry. There was 3 of us so we shared each course to try different things. All 3 of our desserts were dry, hard and unfinishable. We all tried and left them. Service rocked. Made a dinner reservation for our anniversary. Shared the surf and turf in the Caesar salad. The restaurant surprised us with a dessert for our anniversary. All the food was absolutely amazing. My favorite was definitely the lobster and the garlic mashed potatoes. One of the only issues was the waiters have to walk super far to the bar which is in the opposite corner of a very large space. So there is some delay in pacing of the drinks with the food, i. e. Our glasses of wine arrived just as we were finishing our meal.

A total surprise to find such a stylish upscale restaurant sitting on top of a car dealership. The restaurant is open with a whole bank of windows across the front. We went on date night which offers a fixed price dinner for two with choice of meal and a bottle of wine. Food and service were both very good.

We came with a reservation for 11 people for dinner. It was the worst service Ive ever had. Our reservation was for 7p and we didnt leave until after 10pm. The second drinks we ordered took almost 45 minutes to come out. The food took about an hour. After our server brought us our checks, it took him almost an hour to return with the receipts. Im not sure if they were short staffed, but the restaurant was not busy. Nobody came to check on us or give us any updates on why it was taking so long. Definitely do not dine here unless you have hours to spend waiting for service.

In short, the food was excellent and our server was great, but the two employees in the front were just below average (this is why I am substracting one star). For an upscale restaurant, the hostess at the front was not warm and seemed disinterested in us being there. Moreover, we came on a slow Wednesday afternoon lunch hour with barely anyone there, so it was not like they were overwhelmed with customers. Also, when our seats were ready, the lady with the tatoos showing us to our table was not warm and did not seem happy to have us there. It was definitely a chilly walk to our table. She barely even talked or looked at us. Not the best experience for the price you pay here and the beautiful modern and upscale environment. Oh well. Fortunately, they made up for this with their amazing dishes and a great server. Eric constantly checked-up on us and was nice and professional. The other assistant servers were also very nice. I will give this place one more try and will visit them again soon. Hopefully by then their front area staff will have improved and received more training on customer service skills like smiling, and having some caring small talk

Vintana has been a favorite eatery for my wife and I for the past many years but last night was a low point. Nothing about the food and service was up to par. After an annoying long wait for the meal service, my filet was presented unseasoned and tasteless and my wifes lobster, mac and cheese sadly very lacking in lobster. Our guest had the bisque that did not arrive warm but surprisingly tepid, having, I am sure, waited on a delivery shelf for more than a few minutes. All in all a very unsatisfactory evening meal for us and quite expensive for this poor quality. Not sure if it is worth another visit.

Had company visiting from out of town and thought a group of 7 would suit this location. I brought wine and was charged $60 corkage fee which wasn’t a problem but I had to pour most of the wine because we barely saw our waiter. Service in and out of the restaurant was disappointing and you would think with reservations made a week prior and 1/2 of the restaurant and patio empty one wouldn’t have to wait 20 minutes to get seated. Food was ok but service horrendous compared to what it used to be before Covid. Used to love this location, but not now….

Worst Meal Ever!!It has been a while since dining at Vintana but it was just two of us so I decied to make an appointment for the Thanksgiving dinner. We were required to cancel 48 hours in advance. After arriving 15 minutes early, we had to wait another 30 minutes for our table. It was a little annoying but I figured maybe they got slammed and looked forward to the meal. I should add that the menu was prominently displayed by the hostess bar and there was not indication that they had run out of anything. It was not until getting to order that we were informed there is no prime rib. I settled for the turkey and the waitress thought that letting me choose light or dark meat would make up not having prime rib available (all places I have been to give people the option). I had the soup and my wife had the salad, the soup was luke warm, and it tasted like chicken broth with so much spice the soup was grainy. My wifes salad was the size of a Dennys side salad and the arugula/microgreens were all wilted from sitting in dressing all day. When my turkey came out, it appears they were running out of turkey too as there was maybe 8 oz of meat on my plate. Stuffing was good and so was the cranberry. The only other saving grace was my wife did enjoy her fish. Desert consisted of a over dry cake and I cant even remember what my wife ordered but she didn think it was anything special. Its a disgrace to take reservations and then run out of one of the premium items. The service was ok but pretty much the rest of the dining experience was piss poor. Ill not be going to Vintana any time soon.

The food was great. Well prepared as ordered. The service was very slow. Had to ask for our check, was never offered a additional beverage. Saw the waiter when placing order, food delivery and then when we asked someone else for the check. Also, the special packages were not as expected. There was not difference in candlelights and there was a pile of rose petals in the middle of the table we could have done without had we known. But otherwise again, the food was delicious! Highly recommend the heirloom tomato salad and the bacon Mac n cheese.

My wife and I have dined here many times, though not as much recently because of Covid. The experience is not the same. Previously it would easily be a 5 star experience, but now I must debate between 3 and 4 stars. The food has never been a disappointment, on its own, the food is certainly a 5 star meal.The last couple of times we have dined here though, the service has been slow. Tonight, after waiting almost 20 minutes without meeting our waiter, we flagged down someone to place a drink order. At almost 30 minutes, and with two empty water glasses, we received our drink and ordered our food. It wasnt until nearly 40 minutes that we finally met our waitress, Emily, who was a delight. Reading between the lines, I believe she was helping our original waiter out who only swung by our table a few minutes after we were seated to pick up the check from the previous customers... which had cash sitting in it, in front of us, for several minutes. It also had the name of the guest prominently displayed on the check, awkward. It took us an hour and a half to have a two course meal.Also, it seems the valet service has been discontinued.Overall, I expect that anyone who dines here will have a fine meal, but expect to have to pay the babysitter extra as it will likely be served quite slowly and without ever meeting your actual waiter.

This is a nice place to bring your spouse or girlfriend for a dinner date, the food and drinks are a bit expensive, the waitress was really nice and pleasant but the food took about 45 minutes to an hour to get to our table after we ordered it. We had dinner inside the restaurant but you can also sit outside you have to specify where when making the reservations. The atmosphere was quiet when we got there at 6pm but at 7pm it started to get busy and way too loud for us. It was nice we tried this place but probably wont be going back because of the prices, the employees were and seemed courteous.

Ive been to Vintana several times and while the food is very good, service from this recent experience is hit or miss.Last night I had a business dinner there and the service was terrible. After being seated, we sat at the table for ten minutes before our actual server came over to take a drink order. Looking around at the diners around us they seemed to be experiencing the same service issue with this one waiter. Ive been at Vintana before and service is usually spot on. The bus boy/water server was excellent - he at least made sure our water was filled.The food was delicious - Very sad that the Filet Trio was no longer on the menu... But the entrees we ordered were delicious.After dinner we all order dessert - two bread puddings, a brownie and the sorbet. The two bread puddings and the brownie arrive timely but the sorbet was not served. We waited another ten minutes but the sorbet still wasnt delivered. The waiter was nowhere to be found so we couldnt even flag his attention. Finally we called over the bus boy and told him about our missing dessert. Five minutes later the sorbet finally arrived served by our waiter. No apology for the delay, nothing.I took my clients there to impress - but I was definitely not impressed this time. For an upscale restaurant I expected upscale service.This experience wont stop me from coming to the restaurant again, but I do hope that I dont have that same waiter again.

Hamachi was beautifully plated but lacking flavor and had no element of salt, very disappointed in the lump of peppers and lardons I received for the “maple pork belly” appetizer..definitely sounded like a completely different dish by the menu description. The steelhead appetizer was probably the most interesting, it actually had some good flavor and the fish was fresh. Char Sui was okay, flavors were nice but I have no idea why you would stick a giant meatball into a small bao bun, if it was presented and the proportions made sense it would have been a great appetizer. As for the entrees the seabass was something I was looking forward to and what I received felt like they tried to hide a sad dish with a good presentation. Fish was dry and thin received with a giant unseasoned proportion of sweet potato slop, a side of pineapple pico on the side and a giant mount of micro green salad on top. Clam chowder was grainy and had very little clam chowder, had to switch it out for the lobster bisque which was okay. The 18oz rib eye was tasty, could have rested it properly we had a plate full of blood accompanied with it but overall they nailed the mid rare and it was seasoned well. Bouillabaisse was the best looking dish by far, sauce and seafood were on point would recommend it if you dine there. Overall I was really excited to eat here coming from into town from Texas but overall probably wouldn’t return based on the food, it definitely didn’t match the the quality of the service and the beauty of the restaurant.

The reason Vintana is getting 2 stars is because they decided to put a 5% surcharge on my bill to pay for increased salaries or ??? This is so 2019. Pay your waiters correctly and raise the price of your meals. Do not call out a political issue on your menu that I have to pay for increased salaries. Also I did not see this stated on the menu nor anywhere as I entered the restaurant that I was entering a political forum and had to pay 5% more for that benefit. Just put your costs in the price of the meal. Period.

Unfortunately this place is not what it used to be and we have been coming here for over a decade. Multiple dry steaks and cooked incorrectly. Upon discussion with the manager the entire chef team has turned over. We also had to wait 20 minutes to sit at 5pm when the restaurant was basically empty and the hosts needed an attitude adjustment - rude. Had to pour the wine at the table multiple times.The only thing that saved the day was the waiter had a great attitude and was entirely apologetic.

Unfortunately it was not good we all got fish and chips all batter no fish. I know I should have complained but I didnt want to ruin my friends birthday. All four of us had fish and chips and after we walked out we all said we should have said something, also the slaw was too hot spiced to eat and it was as if it was from the day before.I love this restaurant but today it was horrible, not just bad but horrible... I think we all learned something today to not be so nice and speak up... after all it was close to 200 dallors...Maybe awhile until I trust this restaurant again ☹️
