2023-07-17 08:22:31Location is a hole in the wall and dlhidden. I drove past at first The food was delicious. Beef was tender and tasty Kimchi was spicy and crunchy. Korean fried chicken was flavorful I got soy boneless so good and the spicy bone in, good as well. Potstickers/ Goyza were good too. Only thing is it expensive. Price kind throws you off only reason for 4 stars not 5. Definitely will go back again

2022-05-21 00:41:16This is the best Korean chicken. I’ve already had it more than 10 times. The soy garlic and Korean spicy flavors are my favorites. Surprisingly the French fries are really good, too.I’d say the 8 pc combo is enough for 2 people.

2023-10-17 05:56:22Mom and pop shop serving great KFC. Ordered 2 lbs boneless chicken meal, half korean spicy and half garlic soy. The food was ready in 10-15 minutes after ordering. The meal comes with 2 small containers of rice and a generous serving of cabbage salad. The korean spicy was not too spicy at all, and the garlic soy is so good! For 2 people, the 2lbs was more than enough to have a 2nd meal for left overs, it can easily feed 4-6 people for about $40 with tax and tip.

2023-08-06 04:49:39The location is fairly small, seeming like a mom and pop shop in the corner of a random plaza. We ended up getting here late at night, 40 minutes before they closed, but the service was instant. The food was made in about 15 minutes and brought to us outside. We ordered the 16 piece wings, half soy garlic and half korean spicy, which I can not recommend enough; especially the Korean spicy. We also got an order of bibimbop, doukbokki rice cake, and spicy pork. All of the dishes were delicious. Im definitely coming back to this location in the future, and I would even order the wings to go to a friend event they were so good.

2022-01-29 02:19:12Locate in a residential area. Easy to find, and plenty of parking. A small shop with no indoor dining area. Only to go order. Food is delicious. I ordered boneless fried chicken, original and spicy, and gimbap. The original is little plain, but it is crispy outside, juicy inside. You may need some salt, but I would rather add it myself than too salty. I am definitely recommend this Korean restaurant. I will try something different next time.

2021-05-16 19:23:36A hidden gem for sure. If you arent actively looking for it, you can easily pass it by.Almost a hole in the wall, this restaurant makes food with deeply satisfying flavors and in portions that easily satisfy most appetites. Great choice for first time (or 50th time) ordering Korean. The bulgogi plate is great for people trying to expand their orders passed the atabdard but not too far. Juicy, savory beef with pickled daikon radish, steamed (I think) carrots and broccoli, and white rice, its the type of dish you could find almost anywhere, but done very very well. The Kimbap is also a great choice. Kind of like a cooked beef sushi roll.If you are willing to step a bit further out of your comfort zone to try something similar but more complex, the Bibimbap may be what youre looking for. An assortment of pickled and fresh vegetables, with a portion of beef, over a bed of rice, topped by a sunny side up eggand seasoned seaweed bits.Theoretically, if you would prefer a more cooked egg, you could always try cutting into it and letting the heat of the rice cook it a bit more, or just microwave it a touch. I do recommend leaving the yolk a bit soft to really enrich the dish. The wings have flaky crisp breading, the kind that you can hear crunching with each bite. My favorite are the soy garlic flavor; fragrant with a tough of sweetness. There are still more dishes to try, one I did not take a picture of was the japchae. Honestly hard for me to not order this every time! I love noodles and these are incredibly good. A very different experience to egg or flour noodles, these are chewier and much thinner. An order of this could be a meal on its own, but with so many options, why not have leftovers?

2021-06-18 17:01:35Volcano Island may be the best Korean Fried Chicken in East Bay San Francisco, as I can not think of any other place with chicken quite this juicy, portions quite this large and sauce quite this tasty. To further emphasize this, these wings completely dwarf what youd find at your neighborhood Buffalo Wild Wings - 6-8 could feed any adult, if not borderline excessive. At $25 for 16 wings, which also comes with cabbage salad (solid), daikon (great), and rice (why not), Volcano Island is a must-have in Hayward.Atmosphere: 2/5 - No outdoor seating, proximity to dumpsterFood: 6/5 - Incredible.Drinks: N/A - The place sells soda.Service: 4/5 - Friendly staff although given store lay out, is not conducive to actual customer service.

2022-06-02 06:24:21First time going here literally a hole in the wall, prices are a bit up there but support local businesses 🙌, food tasted homemade and fresh would definitely come to try different things unfortunately it is small place so only takeout with seating outside

2021-07-21 15:39:06A great place to eat Korean fried chicken. Ive gotten both the boneless and regular versions. While the boneless is cheaper, it seems to have more batter than the regular one. The only thing youll need to deal with for the regular ones are the bones. The chicken comes with a side cabbage salad, daikon, and rice. A small is enough to feed two people (I ate a small by myself and felt very full afterwards). Theres a few parking spaces (one is labeled 10 minute parking), and theres a few outdoor tables with umbrellas for shade. Definitely a great small business to support.
