The store has ample organic produce which is fresh and a deli department where you can pick up freshly prepared meals also. The bakery prepares their goods daily including donuts and various breads which are delectable however they are a bit below gourmet even though they try really hard here.

I wish I could say nice things about this location but I can’t. I’ve bought meat from the butcher that was pink on the outside and brown on the inside, I’ve bought meat from the butcher that went bad the next day. The produce at this location is also poorly circulated and often goes bad quickly. I bought a piece of sheet cake today and it was stale. Before I buy anything I check the packaged date or the expiration and often it’s expired and about to expire because they don’t rotate the prepared foods. The staff seems overworked and miserable and it’s shows in the quality of the items being presented for customers to purchase. Solana Beach is a nice area and the prices reflect that but unfortunately the quality doesn’t. Don’t waste your money and go someplace else food is too expensive right now.

Love the Solana Beach store. Well stocked and friendly staff. Can always find what in looking for. Their Just 4 You program gives you additional discounts and rewards. The gas rewards are a really good deal especially if you tank up at a Vons gas station. There is one in Pacific beach. Thats my hot tip of the day! Update-with gas prices up consider using your reward at Vons gas stations. Be sure to use Just for You! UPDATE: STILL GOOD! I like the early morning to shop!Update: all good! Update: still great.

Sad to say this but I’m amaze how amazingly rude and and racist this manager Cynthia, I asked the register lady to break my $100 because I needed change for my organization event, she told me to go to Cynthia the Manager to get a better change because she has no change at her register,Went up to Cynthia the guest register and I kindly asked her to break my $100 specifically asked her for $1, $5, $10Then Cynthia told me to meet her at register 3She open the register then start counting, she tried to give me 4 $5 and the rest $20bills, so I kindly told her that I don’t want $20Told her that I want $1, $5,$10,Cynthia told me “ well dude I can’t help you”Basically shuts me down and walked away.I am really sad that I experienced this.

They look down on People with EBT this young college students card wouldnt scan or read and the cashier is yelling I mean in a very charismatic way (we dont input EBT MANUALLY) I could tell the young man felt about two inches tall. Then another cashier says yeah yes we do. Stupid bag, Learn your job and shut your mouth!

Fairly typical Vons. Very busy, with lots of registers open. Staff seemed very nice. Produce section was smaller than usual. On the other hand, their floral offerings were impressive for a grocery store. Bathroom was very clean.

First time visiting. Everything was clean and orderly. Line was a bit long for a Wednesday afternoon at 3pm. Will definitely return.

This Vons is unfortunately my closest grocery store. Its worth driving elsewhere. They almost never have the advertised meat for sale in stock.Twice I have purchased expired dairy products. And today 10-17-2023 Ive downgraded them to 2 stars. Ive made my last meat purchase from this store ever! The chicken breast tray I just bought literally smells like like rear end and its not the first time. The produce is lackluster and extremely marked up in price as with most every item in this store. For the amount this store overcharges they should be getting things right instead of cutting corners. If its on sale its because its too iffy to eat and you will be disappointed. The self checkout is terrible all the bags are awkwardly placed on the ground, you have to dig them out of a basket tucked deep under a two foot high counter and the scanner often fails to give the correct price. I treat this store like a 7-11 only grabbing the fewest items until I can do my shopping elsewhere.

I visited Vons, Solano Beach, CA on 5/19/23 at 11:10. The cashier was Jeanne. As the cashier was ringing my items, I was helping put them in my cart. At one point I turned around and the woman behind me in line had moved up so close to me that she could have rested her chin on my shoulder. Her husband was behind their cart and she was in front so I couldnt make her move back because the husband had the cart right up against her as she was up against me. Jeanne saw this and did nothing. I normally use a credit card to pay for groceries, but I felt compelled to pay cash because the woman who was an inch away from me was staring over my shoulder so it wasnt safe to use a credit card because she would be able to see it.This is unacceptable customer service. I run a library. If a customer is behaving badly toward another customer, the library staff steps in to protect the innocent customer.Who knows if this woman at Vons was just rude or whether she and her husband pull this on everyone to try to get credit card information. It should not have been my responsibility to deal with this rude/criminal behavior. Shame on Jeanne for not protecting her customer. She could have at least called security over if she didnt want to deal with it herself. Making me feel uncomfortable by unchecked criminal behavior is not acceptable. I wont be giving my business to this store again.

All good, but no category signs on pharmacy items. You need yo take a line to ask one simple question, Where is eye drop?
