The food was incredibly delicious, and the service was exceptionally friendly. This is a family-owned establishment, and every dish we tried had a wonderfully fresh taste. We ordered Pad Ped Pla Duke, shrimp rolls, tom yum soup, and pad kee moh with shrimp – all of them were absolutely delightful. We plan to return for more in the future. The cozy, family-oriented atmosphere of this mom-and-pop restaurant made us feel right at home. The added bonus was their extended hours of operation from 10 am to 12 am.

The chicken wings are adequately described as chicken bones. There was absolutely no meat on them at all. They try to get by on the flavoring which is decent but it seems that they are trying to up sell spare parts. The pad thai (for the price) is decent, but the noodles are way overcooked.

Went there with a friend on a Saturday. It was a surprising little gem in an odd location. We were the only customers at that time. The owners were delightful. I had a fish dish that was on the specials menu. My friend is a vegetarian and he found plenty of options. We were both delighted with our meals. I look forward to going back there.

Wanted to give this place a try. We tried and we’re moving on…Ordered fried rice/pad Thai/yellow chicken curry.Fried rice and pad Thai, was very bland. The fried rice has no eggs, no sauce and no flavor. Just rice.The pad Thai was similar. No eggs, no tofu, and nothing more. Just noodles.Like I said, we tried and now it’s time to move on. The food is good and prices are very reasonable. Its a casual atmosphere, hole in the wall, local spot. Pictured is shrimp pad thai, beef fried rice and mango sticky rice. Its bit off the beaten path but GPS takes you right there. My friends and I usually order food for pick up or have it delivered on an app. The people are very nice!

Delicious, high quality, fresh vegetables, spices, and meats - comfortable, home-style atmosphere, informal living room style with sofas and furnished warehouse feel - beautiful rose garden deck, small outdoor dining area. Quick service and delicious appetizers, Fried Spring Roll and Calamari. Unusual industrial neighborhood and DSP right at the end of the street.

Vulcan Thai truly deserves the highest rating possible because of its friendly owners and its top notch food! I felt like I was in Thailand again being able to practice some Thai with the nice owners who lived in Thailand and recommended their specials. If you are looking for a hidden gem, then this is your place!I ordered Pad Thai with duck, and the Special #2 (fried fish Thai style).

I could give 0 stars if I had an option. Food was so bad. The curry was watered down and made so badly. I found dog hair/human hair in the curry and the rice. Given the pricing, I would expect some quality. Never ordering from here again.

I ordered from Door Dash, but I will have to agree with the other five stars on this one. The food is amazing, like home cooking best. The calamari and usual crab fried rice I ordered at other Thai restaurants tasted swell here, too. I enjoyed all the food on my order, and so did my family. Thank you so much for this amazing place.

There was a mold on a fish cake on one of my orders. Padkemao noodle were all broken, was not cooked properly. It seems like they are using bad quality ingredients. Thats not right. I reported this to grubhub and the restaurant owner called me. Her apology wasnt professional, she called me that Im the bad customer. Im posting a photo of the mold on the fish cake.

I ordered Vulcan Thai Cafe via DoorDash on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. I ordered their pineapple fried rice dish which contained spoiled and smelly shrimp. I also ordered their mango and sticky rice dish, which was completely spoiled and rancid. The food in that dish had clearly been sitting in its container for a very long time. I immediately reported the issue to DoorDash and noticed that other customers had recently submitted comments reporting similar issues after receiving spoiled food, also. Unfortunately, I consumed a small portion of the fried rice before I realized that the shrimp it contained was spoiled. However, that was enough to make me sick for the next day and a half. Vulcan Thai Cafe has issues with food safety that need to be addressed immediately!

Sub par to put it nicely. Canned string beans, mystery meat chicken, with too many onions and grease. The fresh spring rolls that were supposed to have shrimp were just filled with lettuce and basil. There was supposed to be peanuts, but there weren’t any. And no peanut sauce. It came with a weird oily vinaigrette. Not any kind of Thai food that I’ve ever had. It was more like really bad Chinese food. Do yourself a favor and cross this place off your list. Don’t waste your money.

I really liked this place. The best Thai Food I have eaten since coming back from Thailand.I also liked the staff. Cute and friendly. The meal was served quickly despite the hectic pace of the restaurant. They seemed to have many delivery orders.The restaurant is in a rather strange old industrial building. Which could turn people off. But I would recommend giving it a try.

Hidden Gem!!! Excellent food I would have never thought to find here. Family operated. Mom is the cook and she knows her stuff!! Somewhat difficult to find, nested in the back of an alley, so take an extra minute to look for it. Do not expect a fancy place. This is no frills but VERY good food. Id come back anytime

This place is so cool, very industrial. I just bought a groupon (I know so yesterday) for them. Ive been driving past for years, trying to see if they were still open. So Im thrill they are still in business. They really need to get a better sign. That said, the food is very good and not the usual fare. I really like the spring rolls with the green dip. And the atmosphere is cool also, reminds me of a cafeteria hidden away in a factory somewhere.

The food was GREAT and people working there are very friendly. The location is a bit sketchy (I came there late in the evening and was surprised to find this restuarant in such a place where there is bunch of automotive shops and other businesses), but did not feel any danger, etc... The place it self is not an elegant or fancy place, but it has a small town mom and pop shop feeling and I personally tought it was very unique experience. I loved the food and my experience was good. I would have given 5 stars, but because of the location, I figured 4 stars might be more appropriate.

It is Oakland - There are many other better options.Ordering experience:1. Made my order over the phone and was told food will be ready in ten minutes and be there by then.2. Even though he takes credit card, the owner of a one man shop insisted I pay in cash once he saw a few bills in my wallet. I said I need the cash and he kept insisting I give him some cash and pay some on my card - LOL - I called in the order to support local biz by not using the menu app.3. Right after signing the reciept, he says, okay, give me 10 minutes to cook your food. Ha - so I guess he didnt trust my phone order which he got wrong and over charged me for anyways.Quality Summary:-WASTE OF MY TIME-PAD SEE-EW - very very meh (it is not my fav dish anyways)-CRAB FRIED RICE: very meh - not the worst but close to one of the worst-GREEN AND PANANG CURRY was watery - Both Curry Dishes were funny colored, meat was rubber, and not creamy at all-SHRIMP ROLLS - Never even made it into my bag even though I asked multiple times if everyting was in there.-SICK FACTOR - Hopefully I dont get sick now 🤭

I tried calling back, but they DISCONNECTED their phones! I kept trying for the next 15 minutes until they finally decided to turn their phone back on...I questioned why they hung up on me and THE MAN SAYS “oh my god oh my god” AND HANGS UP AGAIN! Im a an x thai chef from a very authentic place in fresno called keothip. Tried this place out once before today. Orderd the nam tok recived something like larp.tooooooo sweet. Came in today and ordered the yellow curry and kao neo. The sticking rice had mold on it. And it was microwaved before served to me. When i brought it up tot he gentelman serving me he reasurred me it was not mold but i know what it was.... Yellow curry was pretty tasty.
