Great value! Made me feel like I was in a rustic seafood place back in Korea.
Its my first time to have raw fish from a Korean restaurant. The fish out of the fish tank freshly cut to brings to our table. It needs the best quality fish to cook as raw. Very delicious and different taste than Japanese sashimi.
Be aware!! I gave one star because there is no zero. Unfresh sashimi got us food poisoning. Waitstaff were unbelievably cold and unhelpful toward us. Price for 4 was almost $220, but ended up throwing up got sick big time the next day. Recovering from food poisoning took us few days.
This restaurant offers many amazing things to try! The seafood and sushi is very fresh (literally taken out of the fish tank in the restaurant). Live octopus was a wonderful and fun experience! Service is great. I highly suggest!
I love this restaurant so much. I think its the highest quality in The same industrys restaurant Ive been a regular customer at this restaurant for 4 years. Ive never been disappointed. I can recommend this restaurant without hesitation.
Thought it was expensive at first but it comes with so many side dishes and they all are pretty good! Everything is fresh.
The tanks looked dirty and it was overpriced and gross. The macaroni salad and boiled peanuts was the best part.
Very fresh, amazingly well presented sushi with side dishes that were just as good as the main courses.A lot of variety when ordering from the combo choices.The server was also attentive and quick to bring to our table any thing we would ask during my time there.
The seafood is fresh since it was alive before served on the table. The price is reasonably cheap. BUT, the staffing is always undermanned and the seating is very limited that I had to wait more than 40 min before to be seated, and I spent more than 3 hours overall for two of us to eat. Badly need to improve on seating and service.I urge you to avoid coming in during the rush hours: 6 pm - 8 pm. Either come in before or after.
This place doesn’t look like much from the outside and it’s not fancy inside but the seafood and service are excellent and I highly recommend this if you want a unique Korean dining experience.
Dont be fool by their restaurant name SsaDa(reasonable). Unfortunately not cheap.Everything was perfect. However, I experienced very my own eye, right before my eye, one Of the waitstaff who served our table takes back our touched dished to one of sushi preparer, and the sushi chef grab shredded turnip to newly prepared another customers dish. Served to other customers table. Ah...oh... How could they?????Is LA county health dept. ever inspect or/and educate contamination? Definitely needs to cleanup their dining area, restroom, and food preparation area.
Don’t come here ever. Health Department needs to come here ASAP. The bathrooms are dirty and filled with trash, dirt, etc. My cup wasn’t even clean and water was filled with dirt and tasted awful. The service was horrible and we were treated poorly and the waitress kept giving us a dirty look for no reason. Overpriced fish for such little quantity. Fish Soup near the end tasted like dish water.
I go there only because of there isnt any alternative restaurant for certain menu. I love their foods but I dont feel welcomed by their waitress at all. In fact she is very rude most of time. I prefer to go somewhere else if I find one just because of her. They need to be aware of loosing customers due to bad service... 👎
Ive been looking forward to branch out from soon dubu and bbq and the incredibly fresh seafood was fantastic. Down home Korea town place full of korean families on the Sunday i visited. Clean but not fancy. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The wiggling octopus and delicate uni in its shell are expert-level chopstick challenges but are delicious while the abundant raw sea squirt served 2 ways is best appreciated visually. I really enjoyed this place and the whole experience!

Fresh fresh fresh!!! That is the most important word of the day at this restaurant. They always provide fresh seafood and you can tell. They even have tanks inside the restaurant. The sashimi combos are where it’s at. It includes sashimi, sides, sides, sides, and more sides!! They just keep on coming. Here are some of the sides that I can remember (which are too many I will never remember them all) - abalone porridge, boiled peanuts, macaroni salad, sashimi salad, shell snails, sliced sweet potato, spicy tuna rolls, kimchi handrolls, spicy fish stew, salmon collar, grilled saury, corn and cheese on a skillet, monkfish liver, fresh oysters, uni, fried veggie tempura, “burnt” rice porridge, sea squirt, abalone .. and the list goes on ...This place has a hole-in-the-wall kind of feel to it but the food and service is legit.Recommendation : Order the sashimi combos here!! If you have a group then calculate about $30 per person and order the combo accordingly! They have different sizes for different amounts of people so if you’re confused then ask your server.Parking : street parking and valet parking behind the building until 9pm and self-parking after that.
Dont go here. The sushi is very thin like a paper and not worth cost wise. We ate $200 sushi combo and served a small portion of sushi and rest with bunch other side dishes and make us full of stomach with none sushi stuff.
The seafood was very fresh.
Freshest sea cucumber, sea urchin, and more. A bit pricy but plenty of side dish (chirash?) came with the main menu. More food than imagined. Loved it!

LIVE SEAFOOD!*didnt come here for the quality of the fish but for the experience. *I understand that this was inhuman. I was very curious about trying their live octopus. Til I did my research on yelp, I didnt know that they also serve live shrimp, abalone, lobster, sea cucumber, oysters, etc.I guess Im not a very romantic person. I love being foodventurous. They were surprisingly delicious and it was wiggling a lot for more than 45minutes. I got a lil paranoid when I felt the suction cup on my tongue and my cheek. Make sure to chew it a lot before swallowing!- Live Agalone: I dont recommend it. It wasnt moving and the meat was tough to chew on.- Shrimp: we felt bad for this guy...he was still moving and was looking at us with its beady eyes. Im not the biggest sashimi guy but I went with a guy who watches what he spends and the name translates to Wow! Its Cheap so Im sure you get great quality for the price.

This is Pocha, a Korean-style raw fish restaurant. Its not cheap, but its a great place to drink soju the Korean way in L.A. The interior is shabby. We recommend drinking bombju, a mixture of soju and beer.

I looked up enough reviews and went there, but I was taken aback because the thickness of the ash was so different from the review photos. I went out of state with my dad who was from Korea, and when I looked at the reviews and looked at the pictures, I was suspicious that they had given it to me because I was from out of state. It was so thin that my dad ate three or four pieces of raw fish. If it werent for the real valet and young servers, it wouldnt have been worth even 1 star and I remember the money I spent was such a waste.

Nothing was off and the waiter got us everything we asked first but he didn’t respond to anything we said which was a weird experience. Especially after reading previous negative reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and value.Lot of Korean hwe-jjip restaurants give a huge volume of side dishes just to create an illusion of great value when many times most of these side dishes go untouched in to trash.My visit here was totally different. There were less number of side dishes, but me and 3 others finished every single food that was served. Fish and seafood is fresh and on point, while all side dishes were deliciously prepared.A definite must if you Love Korean food - if youve done the tofus and kbbqs - you have to try Korean seafood. It is a culinary experience.

We got tons of side dishes that come along with sashimi plate order for free (Less than $120 per order for two adults). I would definitely go back to this place once I visit LA again
