A very average WaBa location. The food was okay and seemed consistent to other WaBa locations. The person at the register taking orders was not very friendly. He wasn’t rude or mean, just not welcoming. I placed my order and got my food relatively fast. I ordered the steak and chicken plate combo. The food was fine and it tasted as expected. Nothing great, nothing terrible; just right in the middle. Overall, an average meal with a below average atmosphere and service.

This location was definitely run by the owner. I got a family meal and it was short on meat, short on rice and the mixed veggies were legit 90% cabbage!! It was a grumpy asian lady working there, no other workers. Definitely the owner trying to save money!! Go to a different location, youll get waaay more! Try the one on Channel Islands. I go out of my way to go to that one instead, its worth it

The food is great but the Asian lady is very sassy. I asked for a beef bowl with rice and veggies and was very hard to tell her. She responded back with attitude and walk back very standoffish. I asked for hot sauce and she gave me 1 and then when I ask for her another she just stared at me. Not good service. Other than that- I was not impressed.

Workers dont care, will use old food because they cant bother to make it fresh for their customers because its too much work, frozen vegetables are used instead of fresh. Horrible food.

Have had problems before with this restaurant but still enjoy its food. But today 1/2/23 their restaurant was closed in person but in google and on their own app you can still order food. I spent almost $32 and have no food to show for it.Edit: Went in today and they were honest about the mistake and served us our food with no grudge.

I cannot stress how unpleasant it was when ordering our food. Had I been alone I would have left, there customer service is TERRIBLE! They need to acquire more people skills. They make mistakes and when we point em out they got offended and were very bothered. Food wise It was quite normal nothing out of the ordinary. First time here but that was my welcome in moment and it was not great.

Very poor customer service they had a hard time giving out there own promotion had me waiting for 10 min couldnt find the special even though its up in there sign they didnt let me pick a soup I like even though it says soup salad and drink it never said one kind of soup not only that the portion was ridiculous 4 spoon fulls of soup and crapp salad very sad for waba grill

Edit: Just an update that its still good here. Staff are nice, food still good. No wavering quality so far. :)Original post 5 years ago:I go here regularly and the lady that works the register is always nice and cheerful. I havent had any major issues with the food so far (they were light on the sauce only twice. But you can fix that no problem since they have it free to use there as long as you check any food youve ordered to go before you leave). When I feel that I need to treat myself to something healthier than fast food I always go there since its fast, convenient and way healthier compared to burgers and pizza.

The staff was friendly and helpful when I told them it was my first time at a WaBa Grill. I am no stranger to beef bowl restaurants, as I ate at them all the time while I lived in Japan, and WaBa is just a variation on them, mixing a beef bowl and bento box in concept. It was nice that they helped explain everything to me.Decent prices, good food, and they had my order out pretty quick. There really was nothing to complain about.If you want a place for a decently balanced tasty meal quick, WaBa is a solid choice.

The food is great! BUT I ordered thru their app and requested curbside ( because Im handicapped and it was offered) they never bothered to even attempt delivery. So I had to hobble into get my order showed them my receipt and they acted like I never ordered food. After 5 minutes she found it and it was wrong and not all there.

The owners are very rude and always stingy. I had a small change in my order which I had called in but he had not even processed before I arrived. When I told him I needed to make a change he huffed and slammed a piece of paper on the counter to take my order again. If you can take your business elsewhere, I suggest you do so.

I’m giving 2 stars because we do like waba grill.But the owner today was not friendly at all! I did pickup order and went in just to let them know I was here and he said “we just literally opened” I said no worries, I got my order and asked for some extra sauce and he said it’s in the bag I check and it was literally one of each = 2 In total I’m so disappointed that he was not welcoming and I will never return to this specific location! he could have charged me more for extra sauce I wouldn’t have minded but the audacity he had to be rude!

The food is good...but the manager here is HORRENDOUS. I ordered three kids bowls and had to literally beg her for the cups that are SUPPOSED to come with this order. The manager tried saying that because I am adult I cant get the cups even though I PAID for them already. Ridiculous.

Food was terrible. Will never go back. I ordered the chicken and steak teriyaki with brown rice. One bite and the steak tasted old like it had been sitting in the fridge for a while. Had to spit it out. The teriyaki sauce was the second worst part of the meal. Great idea, but the food was far from fresh.

The Asian couple that run this place is extremely rude and inappropriate in the way they manage their business. Theyre very stingy with food and will try to short you on meat whenever possible. One star for their attitude, and the other is because it still taste good.

4 stars what service was ok but the vegetables were hard and the rice wasnt cooked first time I tell my kid not eat her vegetables .its was a not good the good look nice on the menu but its not what u get in real life. Very disappointed and dont get the avocado its 1.75 for a Im slab not worth it

Great place, really the only thing is that the rice seems unseasoned and a bit overcooked because they cook their rice in these massive vessels all day until closing time. Would still recommend though.

Fast food teriyaki, 21 items on menu, prepared as you wait. Add your own hot sauce and pickles as required. Cheap and cheerful.Google Maps has it on the east side of the road which is wrong.

I ordered a sweet and spicy chicken bowl all veggies got charged extra which is fine when I asked for a side of sauce was told its 39 cents ok then got home and saw a bowl that cost me 10.56 that equaled the mini bowl plus the veggies this location serves are not the waba type with ruffle cut carrots this location is buying cheap ingredients wish I could post a picture horrible the ventura location is much better only reason I went to this location was that the ventura location closes at 8

I recently walked in and the time i did i had a bloody nose and the owner (asian lady) obviously see my nose is dripping blood, so i ask if i can use the restroom and she said no only after you order. So i said are you serious? and again im bleeding so she repeats herself so i walked out and never will return again.

Clean, quiet, and usually empty outside of the lunch rush. Its kind of hidden away so you can have a solo meal with yourself or your friends. The food is always on point.
