This location has been a life saver for me! I mobile order at this location 3 times a week for the past 4months. I was recently diagnosed with a disease that causes pain, inflammation and food sensitivities. I order chicken veggie bowl w/ no sauce. Chicken is always moist, & flavorful. Staff is friendly & I truly appreciate their attention to detail in regards to my order, and sensitivity. Thank you!

I dont recommend this spot specifically. On the pick your sauce, they charge you if get other than waba sauce $0.75. Why do you get an option to pick your sauce then? Other Waba Grills dont charge, so.....

Need to make it more appealing to the customers. Need to invest back into the property.Outdoor seating looks very unappealing. Definitely not a place I would sit to eat my meal. Outdoor seating needs a complete makeover.I have been to other locations and did not feel the same about them. Though some of them need upgrading they were still clean for their condition.I feel corporate needs canvas their restaurants and address the needs of each and every restaurant.

The place is pretty worn down and its always surrounded by homeless people. That being said, I didnt have any issue with my food. I hope this part of Riverside can get cleaned up some day so businesses around there can thrive again.

The staff was great. The management states there is dumplings shortage. So, I had to buy another bowl 🥣 for a customer to get the amount of dumplings I wanted. Had they posted a sign it would not be an issue

Can’t believe. I ordered right before closing. They messed up my order, I called in the morning and they told me come back in and they will make it right. I come back in and then they asked me where is the bowl….the food from last night…..they wanted me to somehow store the food they gave me last night, to bring it in 24 hours later as proof so they can take it back as it was still good food according to the female manager on duty….. I bet the health department would love to hear that in person. Should be shut down.

Their online service to pick it needs a better system. I was told to wait since it wasnt ready but after 15min of waiting and other customers ordering and getting their orders fast another employee saw my order on the side sitting there and then asked if I was waiting on an order. The food is not freshly made. I will not go back.While I was standing there waiting for my order, which consisted of teriyaki chicken, and dumplings, I watched the cook remove pre-cooked dumplings out of a container and reheat them on the grill by the chicken. They were pre-cooked and not fresh and tasted as youd expect. Then I realized I was watching him do the same thing with the grilled chicken breasts... he was using tongs to fish pre-cooked chicken out of a pan nearby and reheating them on the grill.Finally I arrived home to find out my Feeds 4 Family Meal would barely feed 2 of us. All of the containers were very short on what they should have had. See photo attached for a half-full container of chicken that was supposed to feed 4. There was a container of cold vegetables that was even less full and then 2 full containers of rice. What am I supposed to do with all this rice?!

Order 2 bowls last night didnt eat them till today and I was left speechless. My bowl was half empty. Just look at this picture. Talked to the manager and all he did was apologized and stated he was going to start keeping an eye more on his employees but when in reality he was there working the shift when we got our bowls.

I got the steak bowl, was surprised when I got home that there wasnt any veggies! Maybe I was supposed to ask... havent been there in awhile. But it was still very good! The young man working thr front was very nice! I was there around 6pm Sunday, November 15. Hope he gets credit, because he was wonderful!!Anyway the entire family (my fluffys) enjoyed some of the steak and rice. So definitely Cercei, Charlie, and Tinkerbell approved ❤❤🐾🐾🐾

Not happy with this Waba Grill at all!Waba Grill is my go to place when I want a satisfying meal. But I was sooooo disappointed with this locating. I do not recommend going to this location due to...My bowl was not even half way full with rice, it was a super thin layer. Then they gave me attitude when I asked for an extra packet of Waba sauce. Just 1 extra! Super rude, customer service needs major improvements!

I have been to a few Waba Grill locations and always had good experiences. The visit to this location on La Sierra Ave in Riverside was not a good experience at all! The food was good, which is why I’m giving the 2 stars. However, the way this location operates leads me to question what is going on in the kitchen area! The first interaction we had was with the staff member pictured. We were looking at the menu trying to decide what to order, he was trying to rush me to make a decision for the 3 of us. One of the people in our party had never been, he was a senior so we were going over the options with him. It took about 5 mins, the restaurant was not busy, yet we were being pushed to hurry. When I did order, the employee would not let me order additional sauces! Yes, I knew there was a charge for additional sauce (been to Waba before!) yet the employee told me no, that the dish came with a sauce. Then I asked for brown rice and was again told no, the dish came with white rice. Ok?? We got our order and noticed there was only two sauces with our 3 dishes so I went back up and asked for a small cup so we could split our two sauces, the female employee who was working (not pictured) was about to hand me a cup when the guy who had served us interjected and said no, that we should just pour the sauce straight into our bowl!However, I think the worse thing that I saw was when this guy came out of the kitchen to clear a table after other guests left. He threw the remains of their food away in a trash can and then took their condiment cups back into the kitchen and placed them back in with the condiments they give out to customers!! Literally turned my stomach to think this guy was taking .50 cent condiment cups back into the kitchen to be reused…what else are they reusing at this location?!! Over all, I would not recommend or revisit this location. The particular staff member was rude but overall, I would highly question their hygiene tactics or reusing customer items in their kitchen.

We came in starving wanting some good food. I wanted a chicken steak bowl. I tried to order white meat for my chicken and was told there is none. The gal said they have not cooked none. What...this is considered a healthy place with no white meat chicken. That sucks.Also there was a dead cockroach by the restroom. I dont recommend this place. Do better Waba Grill!!

Food is good, but the manager or franchise owner that is always there doesnt care. I placed an order online through the app for 20 dumplings. I get charged and I show up for it, then he goes on to tell me that he can give me them unless I order a rice bowl?I said thats okay no worries, can I just get a refund?Apparently he doesnt know how to do it and instead just argues and insists that I have to cancel through the app. I do it but the app says to call or visit the store to process refund. Regardless, he didnt know or want to give me a refund and instead kept insisting on giving me a rice bowl.I didnt want a rice bowl, but my only options were to either leave without a refund because he didnt want to process it even though I was charged or take his offer of the steak rice bowl.So I had to take his offer otherwise Id be empty handed. The crew there are nice people and the food is good. But their franchise owner/manager really needs help

My first time visiting Waba Grill with my husband since we moved to Riverside. We weren’t that hungry so we just asked for 10piece dumplings. The girl rang it up then brought her manager over who proceeded to tell us we couldn’t order the dumplings without getting a bowl. No where on the menu does it say the rules of ordering. Lol I think it’s hilarious that they are turning away business due to not wanting a bowl. I had to come check the reviews and to find I am not the only one who just wants dumplings lol. Horrible business. I’ll never go back. Sorry not Sorry :/

They only give you two waba sauce packet for a togo order. I asked for a few more and was told they can only give two packets and you have to pour more ontop from the sauce dispenser. They also barely put any onions. I asked to buy a side of onions and was told I could only get what was ontop already. Sucks because the sauce and the onions are my favorite part.

Today our order was through the app. Three things went wrong with the order. First, this location( La Sierra and Magnolia) keeps their avocado peeled and kept in the fridge so it gets that brown color you have to scrape or cut off to get to the green. Second, one of our dishes asked for no sauce because of food allergies. The worker put sauce on it. Had to be remade. Third, this same no sauce order asked for brown rice. When I got the new order with no sauce, I failed to check the rice... it was steamed rice. Totally different than the new location on Van Buren and Orange Crest. They cut their avocado fresh and our previous no sauce and brown rice order came just as ordered.

Not sure if there was a change in managment/owners or just employees but the quality of this location has gone downhill. Cashier that helped me today made it seem like I was a burden to be there. I also say helped loosely since the entire transaction the only words they spoke were brown or white, that it?, and then my total. They would not sell me a 5pc Dumpling because I wasnt ordering a bowl. I just wanted dumplings. I did not want a bowl at all. Just some dumplings. Avoid this location at all costs. Customer satisfaction is not prioritized, nor is cleanliness or food taste/portioning (it all changes every time). The rice is hardly ever washed, the steak is always stuck together and over cooked with a different level of flavor every time- also contains black charred flakes (clean the grill more often) we know what that is-the steak portion also changes from kids size to small kids size even if you order a regular bowl, give the same amount of meat EVERY TIME, people pay hard earned money for whats advertised not for the inconsistent fluctuations the cheap business owners try to slyly pass off as a healthy food choice. These Waba portions are not consistent with other Waba Grills. The salad is soggy and rotting at least 6/10 times I eat here, which is extremely disappointing because the salad dressing is so tasty. Sometimes I get a full orange, sometimes I get a half. Sometimes the dumplings are perfect, sometimes they are the worst part of my meal. Sometimes I just plain get the wrong order, I have no idea on earth how when theres 3 other customers in the store. I am fed up with contributing to this location and you should reconsider spending money here. The blue shirt Managers are also the worst possible canidates for the job, they lack attention to detail probably because they are working so much they just dont care anymore. Also very rude and tempermental. Always arguing/bickering amongst themselves. Its rare when it looks like every one is getting along and not stressing. This place just opens and closes for the dollar, not the customer. Doesnt matter what happens in between.

I would drive all the way from Highland, because it WAS one of the best waba restaurant! Just went a week ago and Im not sure if they changed owner, but this time it was horrible!!! Normally, I would give most waba grills a 5 star review but this one was lacking. Wana overall is a great healthier fast food options as the only steam and grill food with no added oils and the option for no sauce and brown rice. I am unsure if wabas are franchised but they seem to be because this one is a bit different than others. While you can get their new sauces on the side you must pay 0.25$ for each. This is not a big deal except the portion of these is half the size for the same cost at the other waba. Other ones also offer the sauce on top with no extra charge while this one does not. Otherwise, the food is the same.
